Abstract
本发明公开了一种液晶基随机激光器及对其进行光控取向的方法,包括两片玻璃基板、染料、液晶微滴和两片麦拉片,两片麦拉片并列平铺在两片玻璃基板之间,且两片麦拉片之间有间隙,两片玻璃基板和两片麦拉片形成两端开口的基盒;液晶微滴和染料混合成均相溶液灌入基盒,形成随机激光器。用某偏振方向的光垂直照射激光器第一基板的表面,并使光斑周期性扫描整个基板表面,期间通过使激光器在平面内做相对运动或通过使用掩膜板的方式,实现对激光器的第一基板内表面的多域光控取向。本发明的液晶基随机激光器光控取向方法,具有可重复性,且可以实现对液晶的多域取向,获得矢量化的随机激光。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及随机激光技术,尤其涉及一种液晶基随机激光器及对其进行光控取向的方法。
背景技术
近年来,随机激光已经成为国际激光学界的热门研究领域。随机激光辐射源自激活无序介质,即辐射光由激活无序介质中的多次散射提供光学反馈,从而获得较大的增益,因而无需外加谐振腔。随机激光由于其特殊的反馈机制而具有工作波长特定、制造方便、成本低廉等优点,并因其在文档编码、敌我鉴别、平板显示、集成光学、远程温度传感等领域的潜在应用而引起广泛关注。光场的偏振态及其非均匀偏振分布对光场的空时演化和对光与物质的相互作用结果有重要影响。
摩擦取向技术具有简单、方便、稳定性好等优点,但摩擦过程中会产生大量的粉尘和静电,对器件造成污染,另外,利用摩擦取向技术很难实现液晶器件的多畴显示。对比传统的摩擦取向技术,光控取向技术拥有明显的优势,包括:(1)无静电、无污染、对表面无机械性损害;(2)可控的预倾角和锚定能,耐热性、耐紫外性和高离子纯度;(3)在微区中进行多畴取向;(6)在曲面和柔性基底上的液晶取向等等。
在液晶基随机激光领域,对液晶的取向都是采用摩擦取向的方法。现有技术中,文献“Laser Physics2013,23,085001”中研究了摩擦取向对DDNLC随机激光阈值特性的影响,发现液晶分子会沿着摩擦取向的方向排列,且摩擦取向对出射高强度低阈值的随机激光具有积极作用。
文献“APPLIED PHYSICS LETTERS 2015,107,241102”中通过光控取向的方式为液晶取向,实现了液晶偏振转换器。但是现有技术中,光控取向并未应用到液晶基随机激光的领域中,并未实现对随机激光的矢量化。在随机激光领域中,相比于摩擦取向,光控取向方法具有可重复性,且可以实现对随机激光的多域取向,为矢量随机激光提供了主动型的出射方式。以主动方式出射的矢量随机激光具备结构简单、实现方便、易于集成等优点,可应用于对偏振敏感介质的表征,在生物组织病变检测上具有较大的应用潜力。
发明内容
发明目的:针对以上问题,本发明提出一种液晶基随机激光器及对其进行光控取向的方法。
技术方案:为实现本发明的目的,本发明所采用的技术方案是:一种液晶基随机激光器,包括两片玻璃基板、染料、液晶微滴和两片麦拉片,所述两片麦拉片并列平铺在两片玻璃基板之间,且两片麦拉片之间有间隙,两片玻璃基板和两片麦拉片形成两端开口的基盒;所述液晶微滴和染料混合成均相溶液灌入基盒,形成随机激光器。
进一步地,染料包括激光染料和偶氮染料;激光染料在均相溶液混合物中质量占比0.1wt%~0.3wt%,偶氮染料在均相溶液混合物中质量占比1wt%~3wt%。
进一步地,玻璃基板包括第一基板和第二基板。
一种液晶基随机激光器的制备方法,包括步骤:
(1)将切割好尺寸的两片玻璃基板和两片麦拉片进行清洗;
(2)选取一片玻璃基板作为底板固定,将两片麦拉片并列平铺在底板上,两片麦拉片之间留有间隙;
(3)将另一片玻璃基板盖合在麦拉片上固定,制成两端开口的基盒;
(4)液晶微滴和染料混合形成均相溶液;
(5)将均相溶液灌入基盒,黑暗环境下静置形成液晶基随机激光器。
进一步地,所述玻璃基板为ITO玻璃。
进一步地,所述麦拉片的长度与玻璃基板长度相同,宽度小于玻璃基板宽度的一半。
一种对液晶基随机激光器进行光控取向的方法,包括步骤:
(1)利用柱面透镜将取向光的圆形光斑调为线形光斑;
(2)将随机激光器固定在移动平台上,使线形光斑垂直入射到随机激光器的第一基板2a;
(3)调节移动平台的速度,使线形光斑在一定时间内周期性扫描随机激光器。
进一步地,所述步骤(3)前还包括步骤:将掩膜板固定于第一基板外表面。
进一步地,线形取向光的波长与偶氮染料的吸收峰波长相似,线形光斑宽度为0.5-1mm。
有益效果:本发明的液晶基随机激光器进行光控取向无静电、无污染、对基板表面无机械性损害;实现对液晶基随机激光的多域取向,获得矢量化的随机激光;具有可重写性,可以根据需求重新对液晶分子取向。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图和实施例对本发明的技术方案作进一步的说明。
如图1所示,一种液晶基随机激光器,随机激光器的上下两面由玻璃基板2构成,两片麦拉片5并列平铺在两片玻璃基板之间,且两片麦拉片之间有间隙,两片玻璃基板和两片麦拉片形成两端开口的基盒。染料3和液晶微滴4经超声震荡混合成均相溶液,液晶染料的混合溶液通过毛细效应灌入基盒,用胶水封住四周,形成随机激光器。
玻璃基板包括第一基板2a和第二基板2b,基板未做特殊处理。用某偏振方向的光垂直照射激光器第一基板的表面,并使光斑周期性扫描整个基板表面,期间通过使激光器在平面内做相对运动或通过使用掩膜板的方式,实现对激光器的第一基板内表面的多域光控取向。偶氮染料可以在偏振光照射作用下发生再取向,因而该光控取向方法具有可重复性。泵浦光斑入射到激光器第二基板的表面时,可观测到随机激光。
玻璃基板2选用ITO玻璃,且不用被提前取向,麦拉片的长度与玻璃基板长度相同,宽度小于玻璃基板宽度的一半;麦拉片的厚度应控制在12-50um。
染料3包括激光染料和偶氮染料。激光染料在向列相液晶微滴、激光染料和偶氮染料的混合物中质量占比0.1wt%~0.3wt%,偶氮染料在液晶微滴、激光染料和偶氮染料的混合物中质量占比1wt%~3wt%。激光染料作为激光出射的增益介质;偶氮染料可以在偏振光照射作用下发生再取向,该取向方向随着入射光偏振方向的改变而发生变化。
如图1分割线右侧所示,取向前液晶分子和染料无规则的分散在基盒中,如图1分割线左侧所示,取向后染料和液晶分子定向排列。
如图1所示的液晶基随机激光器的制备方法为:
(1)将切割好长宽尺寸1.75cm×1.5cm的两片玻璃基板2和长宽尺寸1.2cm×0.25cm,厚度12.5um的两片麦拉片5先后经过丙酮,乙醇,去离子水分别超生波清洗30分钟;
(2)选取一片玻璃基板作为底板放置在保鲜膜上固定好,将两片麦拉片5并列平铺在底板上,两片麦拉片5之间留有间隙;
(3)将另一片玻璃基板盖合在麦拉片5上,并用夹子固定好,制成两端开口的基盒,长宽尺寸1.2cm×1cm,盒厚12.5um(这里指内部尺寸,即基盒的容积尺寸);
(4)向列相液晶E7(ne=1.75,no=1.52)、激光染料PM597和偶氮染料MR(甲基红)超声混合,形成均相溶液;
(5)利用毛细效应将均相溶液灌入基盒中,黑暗环境下静置24h形成液晶基随机激光器,随机激光器的长宽尺寸为1.2cm×1cm。
制备基盒的具体方法为:第一麦拉片的一个长边与上下两片玻璃基板的一个长边对齐,第二麦拉片的一个长边与上下两片玻璃基板的另一个长边对齐,第一麦拉片与第二麦拉片的两端分别与上下两片玻璃基板的两端对齐;两片麦拉片并列平铺在两片玻璃基板之间,且两片麦拉片之间有间隙,两片玻璃基板和两片麦拉片形成两端开口的基盒。为了直观的表示基盒,图1中示意的麦拉片的厚度比正常尺寸偏厚,并不能表示具体的尺寸。
如图2所示,对液晶基随机激光器进行光控取向的方法,具体为:
(1)利用一个柱面透镜,将取向光光源的圆形光斑调为线形光斑,线形取向光的波长需在偶氮染料的吸收峰波长左右,光斑宽度为0.5mm-1mm;
(2)将随机激光器固定在移动平台上,使光斑垂直入射到随机激光器的第一基板2a;
(3)根据需求将掩膜板固定于第一基板2a外表面;
(4)通过调节移动平台的速度,使光斑在一定时间内周期性扫描随机激光器。
工作原理如下:当偶氮染料分子被一束偏振光光泵,吸收发生几率与cos2θ成正比,其中,θ是偶氮染料分子的吸收振子与光的偏振方向的夹角。如果偶氮染料分子的吸收振子平行于光的偏振方向,它们会偏离初始位置再取向。根据偶氮染料的不同,其在取向方向会平行或垂直于泵浦光的偏振方向。偶氮染料分子附着在第一基板2a内表面,并形成沟槽结构,从而使液晶分子沿着沟槽方向排列,实现液晶分子的取向。激光染料分子由于宾主效应会沿着液晶分子的取向方向排列,其对光子的吸收具有光学各项异性,且发射的光子也会与染料分子的取向一致,导致激光器在某个位置出射的随机激光的偏振态与该位置液晶分子的取向方向一致。在取向时改变取向光斑与激光器的相对位置,从而改变液晶分子的取向形貌,可以实现随机激光的矢量化。
如图2所示是光控取向示意图,包括线形光斑和做相对运动的随机激光器。以Nd:YAG激光器产生的532nm(频率10Hz,脉宽5-7ns)光源作为取向光1垂直入射到随机激光器基板表面,能量为4mW,光斑尺寸为0.8mm×1.5cm;光斑位置不动,通过调节控制移动平台使激光器做相对运动,以使光斑周期地扫描整个激光器,取向时间为1h。
根据激光器不同的移动方式,可以产生不同的取向效果,如图2(a)和2(b)所示。
如图3所示,观测按图2(a)所示方式取向好的随机激光器的POM图,分别使取向方向平行于起偏器(或检偏器)、与起偏器(或检偏器)呈45°,垂直于起偏器(或检偏器),观察到激光器的透视场由暗变亮再变暗,说明本发明的光控取向方法具有良好的取向效果。
如图4所示为取向后获得的随机激光光谱(a)及阈值图(b),阈值为6mW/pulse,泵浦低于阈值时,光谱上未观察到尖峰,泵浦强度低于阈值时,光谱上可以观察到尖峰,即随机激光出射。
本发明的光控取向方法,相对于传统的摩擦取向方法,具有可重复性,实现对液晶基随机激光的多域取向,获得矢量化的随机激光,同时非接触式取向方法,避免了传统摩擦取向带来的污染,在光通信、生物医学、传感器等方面具有巨大的应用价值。

1.一种液晶基随机激光器,其特征在于:包括两片玻璃基板(2)、染料(3)、液晶微滴(4)和两片麦拉片(5),所述两片麦拉片(5)并列平铺在两片玻璃基板(2)之间,且两片麦拉片(5)之间有间隙,两片玻璃基板(2)和两片麦拉片(5)形成两端开口的基盒;所述液晶微滴(4)和染料(3)混合成均相溶液灌入基盒,形成随机激光器。
2.根据权利要求1所述的液晶基随机激光器,其特征在于:所述染料(3)包括激光染料和偶氮染料。
3.根据权利要求2所述的液晶基随机激光器,其特征在于:所述激光染料在均相溶液混合物中质量占比0.1wt%~0.3wt%,所述偶氮染料在均相溶液混合物中质量占比1wt%~3wt%。
4.根据权利要求1所述的液晶基随机激光器,其特征在于:所述玻璃基板(2)包括第一基板(2a)和第二基板(2b)。
5.一种液晶基随机激光器的制备方法,其特征在于:包括步骤:
(1)将切割好尺寸的两片玻璃基板(2)和两片麦拉片(5)进行清洗;
(2)选取一片玻璃基板作为底板固定,将两片麦拉片(5)并列平铺在底板上,两片麦拉片(5)之间留有间隙;

7.根据权利要求5所述的液晶基随机激光器的制备方法,其特征在于:所述麦拉片的长度与玻璃基板长度相同,宽度小于玻璃基板宽度的一半。
8.一种对液晶基随机激光器进行光控取向的方法,其特征在于:包括步骤:
