The invention discloses a Karaoke lyric word segmentation method and a system thereof, comprising splitting original lyrics of songs into a plurality of single sentences; correspondingly establishing a plurality of types of labeled lyrics according to a plurality of chorus types, wherein the labeled lyrics are labeled according to a single sentence as a minimum unit; establishing a corresponding relation among the marked lyrics of a plurality of types, the original lyrics and the songs, and storing the corresponding relation; the method and the system effectively solve the problems of word robbing, time missing and the like when a plurality of persons sing the songs together, and have the advantages of low cost, easy popularization and the like.
