Abstract
The invention discloses a method for realizing household WIFI roaming, which comprises an AP1 serving as a main AP and an extended AP: AP2, AP3, and AP 4; firstly, the STA sends a request to the AP2 to request to obtain the current neighbor list, and then the AP2 replies the neighbor list under the current environment to the STA; then the STA acquires the connection parameters of each AP; then the AP2, the AP3 and the AP4 send WIFI signal parameters of the same AP to the master AP; then, after acquiring the optimal roaming target AP of the STA according to a specific method, the main AP sends the target AP to the AP2 which is connected with the STA; then the AP2 informs the STA to roam to the AP3 through the 802.11v protocol; after receiving the message from the AP2, the STA actively roams to the AP3, and completes roaming. The WIFI roaming mode fully utilizes the interaction about neighbor info in a new 802.11k protocol, and increases the information interaction between the STA and each AP to be roamed; through the BSS Transition function in the 802.11v protocol, the STA is informed to roam the target AP, so that WIFI roaming is more accurate, and the problems of short interruption of data, poor WIFI signals after roaming and the like in the conventional WIFI roaming are avoided.

At present, household WIFI is used more and more, WIFI network coverage is more and more popularized through the mode of AP + WIFI expander, but most of modes of realizing roaming in the WIFI network are that the STA is kicked off when the access point detects that parameters such as RSSI (received signal strength indicator) connected with the STA and the access point are reduced, the STA is enabled to actively search for the next access point, WIFI roaming is completed, the problem that the STA cannot roam to the best access point can be caused, and a short network connection interruption phenomenon can occur in the roaming process. To solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, a solution is now provided.

step nine: after receiving the message from the AP2, the STA actively roams to the AP3, and completes roaming.

the fourth step: the main AP starts to compare RSSI values of other APs and the STA, parameter values of the same AP at different times are compared for multiple times, the RSSI increasing speed of each AP is obtained to determine whether the STA is far away from or close to a certain AP, and finally the AP with the highest RSSI value is determined to be used as a target roaming AP.
Further, the 802.11v protocol in the step eight has a BSS transition function, and the access point may send a WIFI message to notify the accessed wireless base station to actively switch to an access point with a better signal.
The invention has the beneficial effects that: the WIFI roaming method fully utilizes the interaction about the neighbor info in the new 802.11k protocol, increases the information interaction between the STA and each AP to be roamed, enables each networking AP to detect the signal quality of the STA, and each AP sends the signal information of the STA to the central control AP, and the central control AP obtains the optimal roaming target AP according to the algorithm, and informs the STA of the roaming target AP through the BSSTransition function in the 802.11v protocol, so that the WIFI roaming is more accurate, rapid and intelligent, and the problems of short interruption of data, poor signal after the WIFI roaming and the like in the traditional WIFI roaming are avoided.
