In daily installation or maintenance, a protective layer or an insulating layer is required to be removed from the installation end of the wire cable, and an internal core wire is exposed for connection; the region beyond the mounting end still retains a protective or insulating layer for providing protection to the core wire.
At present, common wire and cable peeling methods include: the insulation to be stripped is separated from the entire insulation of the electric wire cable by a process such as cutting the insulation in a circumferential direction of the electric wire cable using a blade or the like. When the cable and the wire with thin diameter are cut, the cutting force is difficult to control, the core wire and even fingers are easily cut due to overlarge cutting force, and thus, the operators are injured; the insulating layer is cut continuously when the force is too small, and repeated operation is needed, so that the working efficiency is influenced; the treatment may be performed by using a tool such as a pincer, which is engaged with the electric wire or cable to make a gap between the insulation layer to be stripped and the entire insulation layer exist, and then the core wire is exposed by pulling the insulation layer to be stripped with the pincer. However, the use of pliers is troublesome and labor-consuming, the stripping length is not easy to grasp, the regularity of the cut of the whole insulation layer is possibly affected, and excessive core wires are exposed.
