Detailed Description
In the BRAS shown in fig. 1, the UP is typically implemented in a high-end router that supports BRAS traffic. The router supports a very large number of board types and services, and has many module types, and these functions of the router are not all needed in the BRAS. Usually, these functions are implemented after the router starts the operating system, and even the functions that are not used by the BRAS are loaded and started together in the starting process of the operating system, so that resources are wasted.
Therefore, the present disclosure provides a function control method and device for a broadband remote access server BRAS, so as to solve the problem that device resources are wasted due to unnecessary functions being started and loaded by UP devices and/or CP devices. To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present disclosure more apparent, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. The implementations described in the exemplary embodiments below are not intended to represent all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
The terminology used in the present disclosure is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the disclosure. As used in this disclosure and the appended claims, the singular forms "a," "an," and "the" are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It should also be understood that the term "and/or" as used herein refers to and encompasses any and all possible combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
It is to be understood that although the terms first, second, third, etc. may be used herein to describe various information, such information should not be limited to these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one type of information from another. The word "if" as used herein may be interpreted as "at … …" or "when … …" or "in response to a determination", depending on the context.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for controlling functions of a broadband remote access server BRAS according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, where the BRAS may refer to fig. 1 and includes a user plane UP and a control plane CP, and the method may be applied to a device of the BRAS, that is, an UP device and/or a CP device. As shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
step S210, pre-storing a plurality of function files generated for the device, where the function files include a basic function file and at least one extended function file.
As previously noted, the UP device may be a high-end router. Specifically, the function file may be generated by a server of a device manufacturer, may be stored in a CF (compact flash) card of the device when the device is shipped, and may be updated subsequently in a network or other form. The function file may be in a bin file format as a version file of the device. It is known that the version file of the high-end router is usually one file, but in the embodiment of the present disclosure, it can be divided into a plurality of files according to functions.
Step S220, when the device is started, the basic function file is loaded to implement the basic function of the device.
Step S230, in response to a first function control request issued by a controller of the device, finding a corresponding extended function file according to the first function control request.
And S240, loading the searched extended function file to realize the corresponding extended function of the equipment.
It can be seen that, in the method shown in fig. 2, by pre-storing one basic function file and a plurality of extended function files of the device, the basic function file of the device can be loaded when the device is started to implement the basic function of the device, so as to ensure that the device can meet the requirements in most application scenarios.
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the method, the function file is generated according to a function category of the device. For example, the functional categories include at least one of: basic service function category in BRAS, the basic service includes at least one of the following: a network processor NP single board, a carrier-grade network address conversion CGN single board, a routing service and a BRAS service; expanding the function category of the veneer, wherein the expanded veneer comprises at least one of the following components: a basic control module BCM single board and a firewall module FW single board; a first application function category, the first application comprising at least one of: multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), CGN (common gateway network) service, Software Defined Network (SDN) and multicast; a second application function category, the second application comprising at least one of: local area network protocols, secure encryption, wide area network protocols, such as FR (Frame Relay), HDLC (High-Level Data link control), ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode).
Of course, in other embodiments, the division of the function categories may be set according to an application scenario or a requirement of the device, which is not limited by the present disclosure. In the above example, the device may be an UP device, the basic service is necessary in a BRAS service scenario, the extended board is a board that is rarely used in the BRAS service scenario, the first application is an application that is likely to be used in the BRAS service scenario, and the second application is an application that is hardly used in the BRAS service scenario. Therefore, the generation of a plurality of functional files is very flexible, the version files of a plurality of sub-versions can be customized and provided for users with different requirements aiming at the version file of the same version, the resources such as CPU (central processing unit), storage and the like of the equipment can be saved, and the cost of the equipment can be further reduced.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the method described above, the first function control request and/or the second function control request are triggered by the controller through the license file.
The license file (license) may correspond to each function file, or each type of function control request. For example, the license that controls the CP device to operate at the target power is different from the license that controls the UP device to load the first application function file. That is, the loading and starting of a function file can be controlled by a license.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic diagram of a communication manner among the Controller, the CP device, and the UP device. As shown in fig. 3, the Controller can communicate with the CP device and the UP device through the Netconf protocol, and complete management and control of the CP device and the UP device. The CP device and UP device form data message channel according to reliable communication protocol to carry out normal communication of BRAS service, such as user's on-line, off-line, speed limit, charging, etc.
