3) Placing a right-angle guard ring (5) on the top of an undisturbed soil cake, passing a central cutting ring (8) through a guide screw (9), and then placing the cutting edge of the central cutting ring (8) on the top of the undisturbed soil cake to ensure that the central cutting ring (8) is coaxial with the annular base (2); then a first nut of the guide screw (9) is screwed on the top of the central cutting ring (8), and a third nut of the guide screw (9) is screwed on the lower surface of the square base (1); simultaneously, the guide screw (9) is fixed through the fixing bracket (10);

5) Taking out the fixed support (10) from the top of the lead screw (9) and unscrewing a third nut of the lead screw (9), taking out the circular sample obtained by cutting the disc (7) and the step 4, the right-angle guard ring (5) and the center ring cutter (8) together through the lead screw (9), and dismantling the first nut of the lead screw (9), the second nut of the lead screw (9), the center ring cutter (8), the right-angle guard ring (5) and the disc (7) to obtain the original soil ring soil sample for the ring shearing test.
