Description

Positioning of rod-shaped articles in a loading device for the tobacco processing industry
Technical Field
The invention relates to a placement device, which is designed to place rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry into or against a rod of the tobacco processing industry. The invention also relates to a rod-forming machine of the tobacco processing industry and to the use of a body part for positioning a pod of rod-shaped articles. Finally, the invention relates to a method for operating a rod maker in the tobacco processing industry.
Background
DE 2809160 a1 discloses a device for producing combined filter plugs or other rod-shaped articles for filter cigarettes of the tobacco processing industry. In this case, a plurality of filter segments can be accommodated in receptacles or recesses by means of a placement device with corresponding pods or carriers, which are applied to a rod of the tobacco processing industry for forming a filter rod.
The insertion device shown there is rotated about an axis of rotation and the respective filter segments received in the receptacles of the carrier are delivered to the strip of wrapping material, so that a strip of filter segments with recesses, i.e., with gaps, is formed, and the filter segments are then wrapped with the strip of wrapping material in a format device, are adhesively bonded there accordingly, and are subsequently cut to a corresponding multiple of the service length. When the respective packs of segments are delivered between the rollers of a multi-filter maker, i.e. when the segments are transported in a group-forming device such as that shown in DE 2809160 a1, the segments may jump or move slightly past each other, so that small gaps may form there. This ultimately results in a strip that may have unfavorable characteristics.
Disclosure of Invention
The aim of the invention is to avoid any gaps that may occur during the arrangement of filter segments during the production of rods for the tobacco processing industry.
The object is achieved by a depositing device which is designed to deposit rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry into or against a rod of the tobacco processing industry, wherein the depositing device has a plurality of pods which each have at least one receiving region for the rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry, wherein the at least one receiving region has a longitudinal extension, wherein the pods have a body which is designed in a body part of the back such that the body part of the back enters or can enter the receiving region for the rod-shaped articles of a following pod.
The body part of the back can also be inserted or can be inserted into the receiving area of the following nacelle. The following car is the one arranged upstream in the conveying direction. The body part of the back is arranged or provided upstream, seen in the conveying direction, at the body. The respective adjacent pods or following pods are arranged close to one another relative to the pod with the rear body section entering or being able to enter the receiving region of the following pod, or the body section of the back is designed so far back or toward the following pod that the body section can carry out an exact positioning of the rod-shaped articles arranged in the receiving region or in the receiving section of the following pod.
The movement of the pod is preferably provided when the insertion device is rotated about the axis of rotation during operation, which movement serves for a parallel orientation of the receiving regions. A very defined positioning of the rod-shaped articles arranged in the receiving region can thereby be achieved.
Preferably the body part of the back is at least sectionally elastically constructed. A careful positioning of the rod-shaped article can thereby be achieved. Elasticity (elastisch) is also understood within the framework of the invention as being able to bounce (fenders).
The pod preferably has a stop in the receiving region in the region of the back for the rod-shaped article, in particular received in the pod. A very accurate positioning of the rod-shaped article can thereby be achieved. In order to compensate for possible longitudinal fluctuations of the rod-shaped article or possible longitudinal fluctuations of the rod-shaped article, the stops are preferably designed to be elastic. The elastic structure is also a springable structure within the framework of the invention.
Preferably, at least two intake air openings are provided in the receptacle or in the receptacle recess in the receptacle region of the receptacle, which intake air openings are separated from one another by a partition. In this way, at least two rod-shaped articles in the receptacle of the pod can be separated from one another and held securely. Preferably, the receptacle, in particular the receptacle recess, has contact surfaces which are aligned with the longitudinal axis and which bear against the rod-shaped article inserted into the receptacle, wherein the partition is aligned with the contact surfaces, so that the rod-shaped article inserted into the receptacle bears against the partition. Preferably one intake air opening is provided for each rod-shaped article.
For a more detailed design of the intake air openings or of the insertion device of the rod maker of the tobacco processing industry with corresponding intake air openings in the receptacles or receiving recesses of the pod of the insertion device, reference is made to the applicant's german patent application nr.102016109740.3. This patent application was filed on 26/05/2016 with the German patent office and the trademark office.
A receptacle, in particular a receptacle recess, for the rod-shaped article is preferably provided in the receptacle region. The receptacle is preferably partially circular, in particular quarter-circular, in cross section.
Preferably, the stop occupies a part of the cross section of the receptacle in the receptacle region, in particular an upper part. This makes it possible to transfer the rod-shaped articles from a radial movement to a linear movement, i.e. a very careful transfer from the insertion device into the strip or to the strip. In particular, this results in a low product load. Furthermore, the stop improves the positional accuracy during the production of the strip, in particular during the lowering during the transport in the longitudinal direction. This can significantly reduce fluctuations in the cutting position.
At least one receptacle or receptacle groove is preferably arranged parallel to the strip or format device. Furthermore, a suction air reservoir is preferably provided, from which suction air is supplied to the suction air channel. A valve is preferably assigned to each intake air duct of the pod.
The rod-shaped articles can be placed or placed on the format device or the transport device by means of the placement device, so that the rod-shaped articles form a rod.
The object is further achieved by the use of a body part of a pod of an insertion device of the tobacco processing industry, which is arranged upstream in the conveying direction, for the longitudinal axial positioning of rod-shaped articles arranged in receptacles of further pods following the pod. The further gondola follows the gondola in the conveying direction.
Preferably, the positioning is a pushing together (zusmammenschieben), wherein in particular a positioning up to a stop is carried out, which is arranged in a section of the back of the receptacle.
Finally, the object is achieved by a method for operating a rod-forming machine of the tobacco processing industry, wherein rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry are inserted into or applied to a rod of the tobacco processing industry by means of an insertion device, wherein the insertion device is rotated about a rotational axis for inserting the rod-shaped articles into or applied to the rod, wherein the insertion device comprises a plurality of pods which are designed for receiving, holding and delivering the rod-shaped articles, wherein the pods are operatively connected to one another on the way to the rod or at the rod in such a way that a body part of a back of a first pod arranged downstream in the conveying direction moves at least one rod-shaped article in a receiving portion of a second pod arranged upstream adjacent thereto along its longitudinal axis. In this case, the movement preferably takes place relative to and/or in the receptacle of the second pod.
The rod-shaped article, which is preferably arranged in the second pod, is moved up to the stop of the back. A particularly accurate positioning can thereby be achieved.
Preferably, the receptacles, in particular the receiving recesses, of the pod are oriented parallel to one another during rotation of the insertion device. This makes it possible to transport and dispatch rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry in a particularly accurate and reliable manner.
In the tobacco processing industry, the rod-shaped articles or the section packets may slightly jump from one another when they are transferred between the rollers of the multi-filter maker. The section packs or rod-shaped articles or packs of rod-shaped articles accommodated in the receptacles of the receiving devices, more precisely in the receptacles of the pods of the receiving devices, may have a gap between the individual rod-shaped articles or sections before being lowered into the bars and are therefore not necessarily optimally positioned in the axial direction, i.e. in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
According to the invention, the possible gaps are pushed together by an additional displacement process in order to reach a defined end position. For this purpose, the body of the pod of the insertion device is embodied in such a way that a body part of the back is provided, which has a contact surface or contact geometry which, during the operation of the pod between the removal from the acceleration drum and the insertion into the bar, axially displaces the rod-shaped articles arranged in the pod, to be precise, the pod preceding in the conveying direction comes into contact with its body part of the back and thereby displaces the rod-shaped articles arranged in the receiving region or in the receiving region accordingly. A very precise positioning of the rod-shaped articles takes place as a result, which are arranged in front, i.e. downstream, in the conveying direction. In addition, the rod-shaped articles can also be positioned correspondingly by stops which are arranged in the transport direction on the back, i.e. upstream, and which are provided in the receiving region or receiving section of the pod, in particular in the region of the back of the receiving pocket. In order to avoid longitudinal fluctuations or longitudinal fluctuating overpressures (Ü berdrn) due to large segments of the rod-shaped article, the body part of the back and/or the stop can be elastically constructed.
Further features of the invention are apparent from the description of embodiments according to the invention, together with the claims and the drawings. Embodiments according to the present invention may satisfy individual features or a combination of features.

Detailed Description
In the drawings, the same or similar elements and/or portions are provided with the same reference numerals, respectively, so that a renewed description thereof will be omitted, respectively.
Fig. 1 schematically shows a view of a rod maker 21 of the tobacco processing industry. For example, a filter rod maker is shown.
The filter segments 11, 11' are inserted into the recesses or receiving recesses 13 of the pods 16, 17 of the insertion device 10 by means of a delivery device, not shown. The insertion device 10 is rotated in the direction of the arrow about the rotation axis 18. The gondola 17 is in each case arranged at the axis of rotation 19 so that the orientation of the receiving groove 13 remains the same when the insertion device 10 is rotated, to be precise in particular parallel to the track of the formed strip 12 or format device 22.
The filter segments 11, 11' accommodated in the pod 17 are delivered longitudinally axially to the strips 12. For this purpose, the filter segments 11, 11' are placed on a strip of wrapping material 35, which is applied to the gauge strip 34. The format belt 34 moves in the direction of the arrow or in the conveying direction 15. In fig. 1, the transport direction 15 passes from right to left through the format device 22, so that in the format device 22 the wrapping material strip 35 is wound around the strip 12, provided with glue and closed as usual.
The next strand 12 is cut by the cutting device 33 into filter rods of the desired use length, for example twice the use length.
The insertion device 10 according to the invention has a specially configured pod 16, 17. These pods are shown schematically in figures 2 to 5. The cars 16, 17 are transported in the transport direction 15 on the insertion device 10, which is only shown in sections. Furthermore, the pods 16, 17 are arranged close to each other, so that a section 24 or 24' of the back of a preceding pod 16 can enter the receiving area 14 of a following pod 17. The filter segments 11, 11' received in the receiving region 14 or the receiving recess 13 of the pod 17 can thereby be positioned by axial displacement. In order to be able to achieve this, the pod bodies 26, 27 have a rear body section 24, 24' which is designed so far downstream that access to the receiving region 14 is possible.
In fig. 2 to 5 only two gondolas 16, 17 of the deposit device 10 are shown. This serves to illustrate the principle of positioning of the filter segments 11, 11'. More pods 16, 17 are usually provided for insertion of the device 10, of course, since the filter segments 11, 11' in the respective pods can be positioned successively.
In fig. 2 and also in the upstream pod 17 in fig. 3 to 5, the filter segments 11, 11' are still accommodated in the accommodating recess 13. In the further conveyance in the direction of the arrow 15, the filter segments 11, 11' approach the wrapping material strip 35, which is also conveyed in the direction of conveyance 15. A transfer then takes place, which takes place approximately in the region between the arrangement of the two pods 16, 17 of fig. 2 to 5. The pod 16 arranged on the left has again been arranged away from the filter segments 11, 11'. These filter segments are already attached to the filter rod 12 or form the filter rod 12 as a whole.
The filter segments 11, 11 'shown may be filter segments 11, 11' formed from filter cellulose acetate tow (filtertartow) or hollow filters. The hollow filter segment is designated 11'. However, completely different filter segments can also be provided. In order to provide a precise positioning of the filter segments 11, 11' also in the region 28, 28' of the back of the pod 16, 17, a corresponding stop 25, 25' is provided in the receiving region 14 or in the receiving recess 13. These stops limit the axial displaceability of the filter segments in the receiving pockets 13. This is shown for example in fig. 3 to 5. In fig. 3, the stop 25 or 25' is inflexible or elastic. However, flexibility or elasticity is provided in fig. 4. In this way, the respective longitudinal tolerances of the filter segments 11, 11' can be compensated for, so that filter segments in a group of filter segments 11, 11' that are too long or filter segments 11, 11' that are too long overall are prevented from jumping out of the receiving recess 13 when pushed together.
In fig. 2 and 3 the body portions 24, 24' of the backs of the pods 16, 17 are configured inelastically or flexibly. This is not the case in fig. 4 and in particular also in fig. 5. In particular, in fig. 5, the body parts 24, 24' of the backs of the birds 16, 17 are each elastically, in particular in this case springingly configured. The stops 25, 25' can also be designed so as to be springable.
The stops 25, 25' also serve to prevent slipping in the longitudinal axial direction when proceeding from the transport direction in the longitudinal axial direction during the rotational movement of the insertion device 10, in particular of the insertion wheel, i.e. in the longitudinal axial direction of the strip. It can also be provided that the stops 25, 25' are spaced apart from the rod-shaped articles during transport in the receiving recesses 13 of the gondola 16, 17. The stops 25, 25' are designed in the radial direction such that they cover less than half the radius of the rod-shaped article. This is schematically illustrated in fig. 6. This avoids excessive radial kinetic energy being applied to the end of the product, i.e. to the rod-shaped article in the region against the back.
Fig. 6 shows schematically a cross-section through the lower part of the pods 16, 17 according to the invention, seen in the direction of the portion 24, 24' of the back of the pod 26 according to the invention. A receiving recess 13 is formed, which has a stop 25 in the back parts 24, 24'. The receptacle 13 is embodied in a substantially quarter-circle shape, so that a quarter-circle of the circumference of the rod-shaped article received in the receptacle 13 rests on the pod 26. The stop 25 covers or occupies only a part of the cross section of the receptacle 13. In fig. 6, the stop 25 is formed only in the outer edge region. The radial extension of the stop 25 is only a small part, in particular less than half, preferably less than a quarter, preferably less than a sixth, of the radius of the receptacle 13 or of the rod-shaped article to be received.
The limiting edge of the stop 25 in the receptacle 13 is shown convexly curved.
Fig. 7 schematically shows a further embodiment of the stop 25. The edge of the stop 25 is limited by a straight line. Furthermore, half of the area of the receptacle 13 is occupied by the stop 25.
By virtue of the design of the stop 25 according to fig. 6 and 7, the engagement of the stop at the rod-shaped article is terminated shortly after the rod-shaped article is delivered during or at the delivery into or at the rod, so that a very careful delivery can be achieved. In summary, the product load is kept to a minimum.
All the mentioned features, also individual features taken alone from the drawings and also in combination with other features, are considered as essential for the invention, both individually and in combination. Embodiments according to the present invention may be implemented by individual features or a combination of features. Features which are labeled "special" or "preferred" within the framework of the invention are to be understood as optional features.
