The connection base 212 adopts the same standardized connector, so that standardized installation connection can be realized, and the expansion module 3 can be arranged in an integral multiple form of a basic unit. The basic unit means a minimum unit having a specific shape and size according to specifications of the existing functional module and the connection terminal, which can accommodate the functional module, the connection terminal, and the connection circuit therebetween having the minimum specification. For example, when the universal serial bus interface is selected as the connection joint and the functional module is a sensor for collecting external parameters; the housing size of the minimum unit is designed according to the minimum size of the sensor and the universal serial bus interface.
In actual production, the required functional module is not necessarily the smallest in size, and the size of the functional module is designed to be an integer multiple of the smallest unit according to the needs of the user at this time so as to meet the requirement that a plurality of expansion modules 3 can be spliced into a whole with regular shape and size. It will be appreciated that the size of the peripheral modules is set in an integer multiple in order to achieve standardized mechanical and electrical connections, so that, in the condition of satisfying the standardized connections of the plurality of expansion modules 3, the user sets in other specifications as required, for example: the dimensions of the plurality of expansion modules 3 are in the form of an equal-ratio series or an equal-difference series.

When the expansion module 3 is not required to be mounted on the mobile terminal, the mounting plate 23 is in the second state B, the mounting position 21 faces to the inner side of the back cover 2, and the appearance of the mobile terminal is the same as that of other mobile terminals without the expansion module 3, so that the influence on the appearance is avoided.
Further, the mounting plate 23 is provided on the cover 22 so as to be turned inside out, so that the mounting position 21 is directed to the outside of the back cover 2 or to the inside of the back cover 2. Preferably, the mounting plate 23 is hinged to the cover 22 so as to be capable of being turned upside down. In other embodiments, the mounting plate 23 may be detached from the cover 22 and then turned over to be mounted on the cover 22.
