Abstract
The invention discloses a content information providing method, content information providing equipment, a browser, electronic equipment and a server. The method for providing content information includes: acquiring a keyword; acquiring a website domain name corresponding to the keyword; determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence. According to the embodiment of the invention, the accuracy of the recommended content information can be improved.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a content recommendation technology, and more particularly, to a method for providing content information, an apparatus for providing content information, a browser, an electronic apparatus, and a server.
Background
In the prior art, each website or a specific service may self-evolve a recommendation system for providing recommended content information to a user. The prior art recommendation systems are primarily directed to the case of a single web site or service. Such systems only use data that is counted for their own traffic or pages. Therefore, in the recommendation system of the prior art, only the keyword itself is usually analyzed and processed, and the influence of the source of the keyword on the keyword is not considered. Various embodiments and examples according to the present invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Embodiments of the present invention are primarily directed to situations where a user browses multiple web pages (websites) in a browser. In this case, browsing the record or searching the record can form a more complete user representation. The inventor of the present invention has recognized that if the website category of the website domain name visited by the user is combined with the extracted keyword, the behavior desired by the user can be more accurately determined, thereby providing more accurate recommended content to the user. As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, confidence refers to the degree of confidence in using the keyword to provide content information. For example, in one implementation, the higher the confidence, the higher the accuracy with which the content information is provided with the keyword.
Here, the keywords are first classified according to the website category of the website domain name corresponding to the keywords. Then, the confidence of the keywords is calculated according to the website category so as to determine the content recommended to the user. In other words, the same keyword may have different confidence levels under different website categories. For example, the keyword "basketball" refers to the game of basketball under the information category and the merchandise of basketball under the consumption category. Thus, here, confidence values are calculated for the same keyword (e.g., "basketball") under different web site categories, respectively, which may be different. For example, when content information is recommended in the information category, information related to basketball may be recommended, and when content information is recommended in the consumption category, commodity information related to basketball may not be recommended. In the prior art, when recommending content information, the website category corresponding to the keyword is often not considered, so that the intention of the user cannot be accurately judged.
One skilled in the art can envision a variety of ways to calculate confidence.
In one example, a confidence level is set for the keyword based on the source of the web page corresponding to the keyword. The source of the webpage comprises at least one of a webpage corresponding to a website displayed in a browser home page, a webpage corresponding to a website input by a user, a webpage corresponding to a website obtained by scanning a two-dimensional code and a webpage cached locally.
The source of a web page may indicate to some extent the degree of relevance of the web page to the user. For example, when the user clicks on a web address displayed in the home page of the browser, or when the user enters a web address in the address bar of the browser, the web page thus obtained is actively selected by the user, which indicates to some extent that the user is interested in them. Thus, keywords in these web pages may have a higher confidence. In many cases, the web page corresponding to the web address acquired by scanning the two-dimensional code may be advertisement information, which may be useless for the user. Therefore, a lower confidence may be set for keywords in such a web page. Locally cached web pages may be outdated information and therefore, lower confidence may be set for keywords in such web pages. In this way, the accuracy of recommending content information can be further improved.
In addition, the confidence level can be set for the keyword based on at least one of the staying time of the user in the webpage corresponding to the keyword, the time of the user for scrolling and browsing the webpage corresponding to the keyword and the click of the user on the pre-read webpage. These parameters may indicate to some extent the user's level of attention to the web page content. For example, the longer the dwell time, the more interesting the user is in the web page content. For example, when a user enters a certain website domain name, the system automatically recommends content information corresponding to keywords in the website category of the website domain name. For example, the user has previously browsed for consultations related to New York many times in a web site for information categories such as New wave, Yahoo, etc. When the user opens a browser to browse a consulting website such as BBC, the latest content related to new york is recommended to the user. The interface device 3030 includes, for example, a USB interface, a headphone interface, and the like.
The communication device 3040 can perform wired or wireless communication, for example.
The display device 3050 is, for example, a liquid crystal display panel, a touch panel, or the like. The input device 3060 may include, for example, a touch screen, a keyboard, and the like. A user can input/output voice information through the speaker 3070 and the microphone 3080.
The electronic device shown in fig. 3 is merely illustrative and is in no way intended to limit the present invention, its application, or uses.
In this embodiment, the memory 3020 is configured to store instructions for controlling the processor 3010 to operate to perform the method for providing content information illustrated in fig. 1. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that although a plurality of devices are shown in fig. 3, the present invention may only relate to some of the devices, such as the processor 3010 and the storage device 3020. The skilled person can design the instructions according to the disclosed solution. How the instructions control the operation of the processor is well known in the art and will not be described in detail herein.
Fig. 4 is a schematic block diagram of an electronic device according to another embodiment of the invention.
In this embodiment, the electronic device may be a mobile phone or an iPad. Fig. 4 shows that the electronic device 4000 comprises: a first receiving means 4010 for receiving web page data from a network; and a first processor 402 for obtaining keywords from a web page of the web page data; acquiring a website domain name of the webpage; determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
The electronic device shown in fig. 4 is merely illustrative and is in no way intended to limit the present invention, its application, or uses.

The processing for determining the content information to be recommended may also be implemented in the server.
For example, FIG. 5 is a schematic block diagram of a server according to another embodiment of the invention.
As shown in fig. 5, the server 5000 includes: the second receiving device 5010 is configured to receive the keyword from the client and the website domain name corresponding to the keyword; a second processor 5020, configured to determine a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence; and a second sending means 5030 for sending the content information to the client. The client may be the electronic device, or may be an application program in the electronic device, such as a browser.

The solution according to the invention is explained below with reference to an example of a recommendation system of fig. 6.
FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of a recommendation system according to one example of the invention.
As shown in fig. 6, the recommendation system 6000 includes electronic devices 6020, 6030, a server 6040, and a content provider 6050.
The electronic devices 6020 and 6030 are, for example, a notebook computer, a smart phone, and the like. They may be, for example, electronic devices for providing content information according to the invention or may be electronic devices comprising a device or a browser for providing content information according to the invention.
The electronic devices 6020, 6030 receive web page data from the content provider 6050 and present the web page data to the user in the form of a web page. When the user browses a web page, the electronic device 6020, 6030 acquires the keywords and the corresponding website domain name. For example, the obtained keywords and website domain names may be stored in a log file for later use.
As previously described, the keywords and corresponding website domain names may be processed locally at the electronic device 6020, 6030 to provide recommended content information to the user. The electronic devices 6020 and 6030 are, for example, the electronic devices described above, such as the electronic devices shown in fig. 3 and 4.
Alternatively, the keywords and corresponding website domain names may be processed by the server 6040. The server 6040 is, for example, the server 5000 shown in fig. 5. The server 6040 receives the keywords and corresponding website domain names from the electronic devices 6020, 6030, processes them to determine recommended content information, and returns the recommended content information to the electronic devices 6020, 6030.
The example of fig. 6 is merely exemplary, and is not intended as any limitation on the present invention.
The scheme of the present invention can be summarized as follows.
EE1, a method for providing content information, comprising: acquiring a keyword; acquiring a website domain name corresponding to the keyword; determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
EE2, the method according to EE1, wherein obtaining keywords further comprises: acquiring at least one of a title and a word with a bold font in a webpage as a keyword; or acquiring words at a position specified by xPath in a webpage as a keyword, and acquiring the website domain name corresponding to the keyword comprises acquiring the website domain name of the webpage.
EE3, the method according to EE1, wherein calculating the confidence level of the keyword according to the website category further comprises: and setting a confidence coefficient for the keyword based on a source of a webpage corresponding to the keyword, wherein the source of the webpage comprises at least one of a webpage corresponding to a website displayed in a browser home page, a webpage corresponding to a website input by a user, a webpage corresponding to a website obtained by scanning a two-dimensional code and a locally cached webpage.
EE4, the method according to EE1, wherein calculating the confidence level of the keyword according to the website category further comprises: and setting confidence for the keywords based on at least one of the staying time of the user on the webpage corresponding to the keywords, the time of the user for scrolling and browsing the webpage corresponding to the keywords and the click of the user on the webpage to be read in advance.
EE5, the method according to EE1, wherein calculating the confidence level of the keyword according to the website category further comprises: setting confidence for the keywords based on a time interval for obtaining the same keywords of the same website category.
EE6, method according to EE1, wherein providing content information corresponding to a keyword based on the confidence level further comprises at least one of the following steps: presenting the content information in a desktop or a toolbar of the electronic device; and presenting the content information in a home page of the browser.
EE7, the method of EE1, wherein providing content information corresponding to a keyword based on the confidence level further comprises: determining the current website category of the website of the current webpage browsed by the user; acquiring current keywords in the current website category; and providing content information corresponding to the current keyword.
EE8, method according to EE7, wherein the current keyword corresponds to a keyword obtained from a current web page.
EE9, method according to EE1, wherein the keywords and website domain names are stored in a record file, wherein the hash value of the record file is used as the file name of the record file.
EE10, the method according to EE9, further comprising: and before calling the record file to acquire the keyword and the website domain name, checking the integrity of the record file by using the file name of the record file.
EE11, method according to EE1, wherein the content information is at least one of a web page related to a keyword, a link address of a web page related to a keyword, and a thumbnail of a web page related to a keyword.
EE12, the method according to EE1, wherein the website categories comprise at least one of categories divided by the functionality of the website and categories divided by the behavior of the user using the website.
EE13, an apparatus for providing content information, comprising: means for obtaining a keyword; means for obtaining a website domain name corresponding to the keyword; means for determining a website category for the website domain name; means for calculating a confidence level for the keyword in accordance with the website category; and means for providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence level.
EE14, the device according to EE13, wherein the means for obtaining keywords further comprise: the device is used for acquiring at least one of the words with the bold titles and the font styles in the webpage page as a keyword; or means for acquiring a word at a position specified by xPath in a web page as a keyword, and
the device for acquiring the website domain name corresponding to the keyword comprises: and the device is used for acquiring the website domain name of the webpage.

EE18, the device according to EE13, wherein the means for providing content information corresponding to a keyword based on the confidence level further comprises at least one of: means for presenting the content information in a desktop or a toolbar of an electronic device; and means for presenting the content information in a home page of the browser.
EE19, the device of EE13, wherein the means for providing content information corresponding to a keyword based on the confidence level further comprises: means for determining a current website category of a website of a current webpage currently being browsed by a user; means for obtaining a current keyword in a current website category; and means for providing content information corresponding to the current keyword.

EE28, an electronic device comprising a memory and a processor, wherein the memory is for storing instructions for controlling the processor to operate to perform the method according to EE 1.
EE29, an electronic device, comprising: first receiving means for receiving web page data from a network; the first processor is used for acquiring keywords from a webpage of the webpage data; acquiring a website domain name of the webpage; determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
EE30, a server comprising: the second receiving device is used for receiving the keywords from the client and the website domain names corresponding to the keywords; a second processor for determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence; and second sending means for sending the content information to a client.
The present invention may be an apparatus, method and/or computer program product. The computer program product may include a computer-readable storage medium having computer-readable program instructions embodied therewith for causing a processor to implement various aspects of the present invention.
The computer readable storage medium may be a tangible device that can hold and store the instructions for use by the instruction execution device. The computer readable storage medium may be, for example, but not limited to, an electronic memory device, a magnetic memory device, an optical memory device, an electromagnetic memory device, a semiconductor memory device, or any suitable combination of the foregoing. The computer-readable program instructions described herein may be downloaded from a computer-readable storage medium to a respective computing/processing device, or to an external computer or external storage device via a network, such as the internet, a local area network, a wide area network, and/or a wireless network. The network may include copper transmission cables, fiber optic transmission, wireless transmission, routers, firewalls, switches, gateway computers and/or edge servers. The network adapter card or network interface in each computing/processing device receives computer-readable program instructions from the network and forwards the computer-readable program instructions for storage in a computer-readable storage medium in the respective computing/processing device.
The computer program instructions for carrying out operations of the present invention may be assembler instructions, Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) instructions, machine-related instructions, microcode, firmware instructions, state setting data, or source or object code written in any combination of one or more programming languages, including an object oriented programming language such as Smalltalk, C + + or the like and conventional procedural programming languages, such as the "C" programming language or similar programming languages. The computer-readable program instructions may execute entirely on the user's computer, partly on the user's computer, as a stand-alone software package, partly on the user's computer and partly on a remote computer or entirely on the remote computer or server. In the case of a remote computer, the remote computer may be connected to the user's computer through any type of network, including a Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN), or the connection may be made to an external computer (for example, through the Internet using an Internet service provider). In some embodiments, aspects of the present invention are implemented by personalizing an electronic circuit, such as a programmable logic circuit, a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), or a Programmable Logic Array (PLA), with state information of computer-readable program instructions, which can execute the computer-readable program instructions.

Claims (30)
1. A method for providing content information, comprising:
acquiring a keyword;
acquiring a website domain name corresponding to the keyword;
determining a website category of the website domain name;
calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and
providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein obtaining keywords further comprises:
acquiring at least one of a title and a word with a bold font in a webpage as a keyword; or
Acquiring words at a position specified by xPath in a web page as a keyword, an
The obtaining of the website domain name corresponding to the keyword includes obtaining of the website domain name of the webpage.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein calculating the confidence level for the keyword according to the website category further comprises:

4. The method of claim 1, wherein calculating the confidence level for the keyword according to the website category further comprises:

presenting the content information in a desktop or a toolbar of the electronic device; and

7. The method of claim 1, wherein providing content information corresponding to keywords based on the confidence level further comprises:
determining the current website category of the website of the current webpage browsed by the user;
acquiring current keywords in the current website category; and
providing content information corresponding to the current keyword.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein the current keyword corresponds to a keyword obtained from a current web page.
9. The method according to claim 1, wherein the keyword and the website domain name are stored in a record file, wherein a hash value of the record file is used as a file name of the record file.
10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:
and before calling the record file to acquire the keyword and the website domain name, checking the integrity of the record file by using the file name of the record file.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein the content information is at least one of a web page related to a keyword, a link address of the web page related to the keyword, and a thumbnail image of the web page related to the keyword.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein the website category comprises at least one of a category classified by a function of a website and a category classified by a behavior of a user using the website.
13. An apparatus for providing content information, comprising:
means for obtaining a keyword;
means for obtaining a website domain name corresponding to the keyword;
means for determining a website category for the website domain name;
means for calculating a confidence level for the keyword in accordance with the website category; and
means for providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence level.
14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the means for obtaining keywords further comprises:
the device is used for acquiring at least one of the words with the bold titles and the font styles in the webpage page as a keyword; or
Means for acquiring a word at a position specified by xPath in a web page as a keyword, and
the device for acquiring the website domain name corresponding to the keyword comprises: and the device is used for acquiring the website domain name of the webpage.
15. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the means for calculating the confidence level for the keyword according to the website category further comprises:

18. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the means for providing content information corresponding to keywords based on the confidence level further comprises at least one of:

19. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the means for providing content information corresponding to keywords based on the confidence level further comprises:
means for determining a current website category of a website of a current webpage currently being browsed by a user;
means for obtaining a current keyword in a current website category; and
means for providing content information corresponding to the current keyword.
20. The device of claim 19, wherein the current keyword corresponds to a keyword obtained from a current web page.
21. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the keyword and the website domain name are stored in a record file, wherein a hash value of the record file is used as a file name of the record file.
22. The apparatus of claim 21, further comprising:
means for checking the integrity of the record file using the file name of the record file before calling the record file to obtain the keyword and the website domain name.
23. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the content information is at least one of a web page related to a keyword, a link address of the web page related to the keyword, and a thumbnail image of the web page related to the keyword.
24. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the website category comprises at least one of a category classified by functions of a website and a category classified by behaviors of a user using the website.
25. A browser comprising an apparatus according to claim 13 for providing recommended information content to a user.
26. A browser designed to perform the following operations:
acquiring a keyword;
acquiring a website domain name corresponding to the keyword;
determining a website category of the website domain name;
calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and
providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
27. An electronic device comprising a browser according to claim 25 or 26.
28. An electronic device comprising a memory and a processor, wherein the memory is to store instructions to control the processor to operate to perform the method of claim 1.
29. An electronic device, comprising:
first receiving means for receiving web page data from a network; and
the first processor is used for acquiring keywords from a webpage of the webpage data; acquiring a website domain name of the webpage; determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence.
30. A server, comprising:
the second receiving device is used for receiving the keywords from the client and the website domain names corresponding to the keywords;
a second processor for determining a website category of the website domain name; calculating the confidence of the keywords according to the website category; and providing content information corresponding to the keyword based on the confidence; and
and the second sending device is used for sending the content information to the client.
