Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) displays include Passive matrix Organic electroluminescent Diode (PMOLED) displays mainly applied to small-sized panels, corresponding to mobile phones and mobile applications, and Active matrix Organic electroluminescent Diode (AMOLED) displays mainly applied to large-sized panels, corresponding to display screens, televisions, and the like. There are two types of AMOLED display implementation: firstly, combining a backboard prepared by using a low-temperature polysilicon technology (LTPS) with a fine metal Mask (FMM Mask); and secondly, combining the color film by using an Oxide (Oxide) back plate and a white light OLED (WOLED).
At present, the combination mode of the LTPS backplane and the FMM Mask is preliminarily mature, mass production is realized, and with the rapid development of the AMOLED, the requirements of people on the shape of the display screen are not limited to the traditional rectangle. According to the display panel packaging method, the packaging cover plate is formed by arranging the packaging glue on the packaging substrate, so that the region without the packaging glue comprises the sub-regions which are distributed in an array mode and are non-rectangular in shape. That is to say, the packaging method provided by the application can define the light-transmitting area and the non-light-transmitting area of the display panel through the setting pattern of the packaging glue, so that the light-transmitting area of the display panel can be non-rectangular, and the non-rectangular display panel can be prepared. setting up the encapsulation glue on the packaging substrate specifically includes: arranging packaging glue on the packaging substrate by using a first mask plate; the first mask includes: the packaging substrate comprises an opening area and a plurality of non-opening areas distributed in an array mode, wherein the packaging glue is coated on the opening area on the packaging substrate, the non-opening areas correspond to the sub-areas one to one, and the shape of each non-opening area is completely the same as that of the sub-area corresponding to the non-opening area.
