Abstract

The invention discloses an interface card assembly which comprises a shell, a first interface card and a second interface card. The casing comprises a shell, at least one guide piece and a bracket. The shell is provided with an accommodating space. At least one guide piece is positioned in the accommodating space and arranged on the shell. The bracket comprises a bottom plate and a vertical plate. The bottom plate is provided with at least one guide groove, and the bracket is detachably arranged on the shell through the assembly of the guide piece and the guide groove. The vertical plate is connected with the bottom plate and is provided with a through groove. The vertical plate divides the accommodating space into a first assembly area, a second assembly area and a third assembly area. The first assembly area and the third assembly area are located on one side of the vertical plate, the first assembly area is close to the vertical plate than the third assembly area, and the second assembly area is located on the other side of the vertical plate. The first interface card is located in the first assembly area. The second interface card is located in the second assembly area or the third assembly area and electrically coupled with the first interface card. Interface card assembly and its casing
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a housing, and more particularly to a housing for mounting an interface card assembly.
Background
Due to the development of the internet and the rapid speed of information distribution, many enterprises and windows not only provide services through the internet but also demand the speed of data processing of computers and servers in order to gain a lead opportunity in the market. In order to complete the delivered operation in a short time, the host computer and the server are usually equipped with various interface cards (interface cards) for expansion.
However, the services provided by the enterprises are different, and the expansion interface cards correspondingly configured in the host computers are also different. Generally, in order to stably load the expansion interface card, the chassis for loading the interface card is also designed. For example, the space and the position for placing the interface cards in the chassis are designed according to the number of the interface cards. That is, each chassis is custom made and difficult to be compatible and storage.
Thus, when the configuration of the interface card in the host is changed, the chassis is redesigned. However, each design and mold-open production is a cost increase for the manufacturer. Therefore, how to flexibly accommodate different interface card configurations in a single chassis, thereby reducing the production cost, is one of the problems to be solved by developers.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above problems, the present invention discloses an interface card assembly and a chassis thereof, which solves the problem in the prior art that it is difficult to flexibly accommodate different interface card configurations in a single chassis.
The invention discloses an interface card assembly, which comprises a shell, a first interface card and a second interface card. The casing comprises a shell, at least one guide piece and a bracket. The shell is provided with an accommodating space. At least one guide piece is positioned in the accommodating space and arranged on the shell. The bracket comprises a bottom plate and a vertical plate. The bottom plate is provided with at least one guide groove, and the bracket is detachably arranged on the shell through the assembly of the guide piece and the guide groove. The vertical plate is connected with the bottom plate and is provided with a through groove. The vertical plate divides the accommodating space into a first assembly area, a second assembly area and a third assembly area. The first assembly area and the third assembly area are located on one side of the vertical plate, the first assembly area is close to the vertical plate than the third assembly area, and the second assembly area is located on the other side of the vertical plate. The first interface card is located in the first assembly area. The second interface card is located in the second assembly area or the third assembly area and electrically coupled with the first interface card.

According to the interface card assembly and the casing thereof disclosed by the invention, the accommodating space in the casing is divided into three assembly areas by the bracket area with the through groove, wherein two assembly areas are positioned on one side of the vertical plate of the bracket, and each assembly area can be respectively loaded with one interface card. Therefore, manufacturers can freely arrange one to three interface cards in the housing according to the number of the interface cards required to be arranged and the connection relationship of the interface cards. For example, when the number of the extended interface cards is two, the two interface cards may be located on the same side or different sides of the vertical plate of the bracket, and if the two interface cards are located on different sides of the vertical plate of the bracket, the two interface cards may be electrically connected to each other through the through slot. Therefore, the interface card assembly and the shell thereof disclosed by the invention can be flexibly compatible with the interface card configuration requirements of multiple manufacturers, thereby reducing the cost of producing the shell by opening the mold.

Please refer to fig. 1 to 4. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an interface card assembly according to a first embodiment of the invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the housing of the interface card assembly of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is an exploded view of another perspective of the housing of the interface card assembly of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the interface card assembly and its housing of FIG. 1. In the present embodiment, the interface card (interface card) assembly 1a includes a housing 10, a handle 20, a first interface card 30 and a second interface card 40.
The housing 10 includes a housing 11, a guide 12 and a bracket 13. The housing 11 includes a bottom shell 111, a first side shell 112, a second side shell 113, a third side shell 114, a fourth side shell 115 and a top shell 116. The first side case 112 and the second side case 113 are opposed to each other, and the third side case 114 and the fourth side case 115 are opposed to each other. A bottom shell 111, a first side shell 112, a second side shell 113, a third side shell 114, a fourth side shell 115 and a top shell 116 surround the accommodating space 117.
The bottom shell 111 has a first through groove 1111 and a second through groove 1112. The first side shell 112 has a first hole site region 1121, a second hole site region 1122, a third hole site region 1123 and a cover plate 1124.
In the present embodiment, the top case 116 has a grip opening 1161 and a wind shielding film 1162. The wind blocking film 1162 is located in the accommodating space 117 and covers the holding opening 1161. When the housing 10 is lifted or moved, the holding opening 1161 is used for hooking fingers, but a wind shielding film 1162 is further attached to cover the holding opening 1161 to prevent airflow from entering the accommodating space 117 through the top case 116.
The third side shell 114 and the fourth side shell 115 have a plurality of weight-reducing holes 1141 and 1151, respectively. The lightening holes 1141, 1151 may be used to lighten the cabinet 10.
In addition, the cover plate 1124 is removably disposed in the third hole location area 1123, but not limited thereto, and the cover plate 1124 may be disposed in different hole location areas according to the placement position of the interface card, so as to shield the hole location area corresponding to the assembly area that is not used. In other embodiments, when only one interface card is disposed in the interface card assembly, the first side housing 112 may include a first cover plate and a second cover plate for shielding the hole site areas corresponding to the two unused assembly areas.
The guide 12 is located in the accommodating space 117 and is mounted on the bottom case 111.
The bracket 13 includes a bottom plate 131, a vertical plate 132 and a top plate 133. The base plate 131 has a guide groove 1311. The assembly of the guide 12 and the guide groove 1311 allows the bracket 13 to be detachably mounted to the housing 11. The number of the guide 12 and the guide groove 1311 may be plural, but not limited to one, in the embodiment.
The vertical plate 132 is connected to the bottom plate 131 and has a through slot 1321. The bottom plate 131 and the top plate 133 have a plurality of fixing arms 1312 and 1331, respectively. Each of the fixing arms 1312, 1331 has a locking hole 13121, 13311 and a bending structure 13122, 13312. The joint of the fixing arm 1312 and the top plate 133 or the bottom plate 131 has a bevel structure C. The bent structures 13122, 13312 of the fixing arms 1312, 1331 can prevent the fixing arms from being scratched by sharp corners during the process of mounting the interface card, and the bevel structure C at the connection position can provide the supporting strength of the bracket 13 at the connection position with the bottom case 111.
The vertical plate 132 divides the accommodating space 117 into a first assembly region 118, a second assembly region 119 and a third assembly region 120. The first assembly area 118 and the third assembly area 120 are located on one side of the vertical plate 132, and the first assembly area 118 is closer to the vertical plate 132 than the third assembly area 120, and the second assembly area 119 is located on the other side of the vertical plate 132. The first hole site region 1121, the second hole site region 1122, and the third hole site region 1123 correspond to the first assembly region 118, the second assembly region 119, and the third assembly region 120, respectively. The first through groove 1111 and the second through groove 1112 correspond to the first assembly region 118 and the second assembly region 119, respectively.
The handle 20 is pivotally disposed on the top case 116 and has a locking block 21, the handle 20 can rotate relative to the top case 116, and the locking block 21 protrudes from the case 11 and can be locked to a cabinet (not shown) to fix the case 11.
The first interface card 30 is located in the first assembly area 118 of the housing 10, and the first interface card 30 has a first electrical connection port 31 and a plurality of first input/output ports 32. The first electrical connection port 31 is disposed through the first through groove 1111. The first input/output port 32 is located at the first hole position region 1121.
The second interface card 40 is located in the second assembly area 119 and electrically coupled to the first interface card 30 through the through slot 1321. The second interface card 40 has a second electrical connection port 41 and a plurality of second input/output ports 42, wherein the second electrical connection port 41 is disposed through the second through groove 1112. Second input/output port 42 is located in second aperture location region 1122.
The first interface card 30 and the second interface card 40 can be directly or indirectly fixed to the fixing arms 1312 and 1331 of the bracket 13. For example, the first interface card 30 and the second interface card 40 can be screwed into the locking holes 13121, 13311 of the fixing arms 1312, 1331.
Please refer to fig. 2, and also refer to fig. 5. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of an interface card assembly and its housing according to a second embodiment of the invention. This embodiment is similar to the embodiment of fig. 1, and therefore only differences will be described. In the interface card assembly 1b of the present embodiment, the second interface card 40 is located in the third assembly area 120, and the second input/output port 42 is located in the third aperture area 1123. Specifically, the first interface card 30 and the second interface card 40 are located on the same side of the bracket 13.
Please refer to fig. 6. FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an interface card assembly and its housing according to a third embodiment of the invention. This embodiment is similar to the embodiment of fig. 1, and therefore only differences will be described. The interface card assembly 1c of the present embodiment further includes a third interface card 50 and a transmission device 60. The second interface card 40 is located in the second assembly area 119, and the third interface card 50 is located in the third assembly area 120. The transmission element 60 is disposed through the slot 1321 to connect the first interface card 30 and the second interface card 40. The interface card assembly 1c of the present embodiment comprises a total of three interface cards.
According to the interface card assembly and the casing thereof disclosed by the invention, the accommodating space in the casing is divided into three assembly areas by the bracket area with the through groove, wherein two assembly areas are positioned on one side of the vertical plate of the bracket, and each assembly area can be respectively loaded with one interface card. Therefore, manufacturers can set one to three interface cards according to the number of the interface cards to be configured and the connection relationship of the interface cards, and can place the interface cards on the same side or different sides of the vertical plate of the bracket, and if the interface cards are placed on the different sides, the interface cards can be electrically connected with each other through the through slot. Therefore, the interface card assembly and the shell thereof disclosed by the invention can be flexibly compatible with the interface card configuration requirements of multiple manufacturers, thereby reducing the cost of producing the shell by opening the mold.

Claims (7)

1. An interface card assembly, comprising:
a housing, comprising:
a housing having an accommodating space;
the at least one guide piece is positioned in the accommodating space and is arranged in the shell; and
the bracket comprises a bottom plate and a vertical plate, wherein the bottom plate is provided with at least one guide groove, the bracket is detachably arranged on the shell by the assembly of the at least one guide part and the at least one guide groove, the vertical plate is connected with the bottom plate and is provided with a through groove, the vertical plate divides the accommodating space into a first assembly area, a second assembly area and a third assembly area, the first assembly area and the third assembly area are positioned on one side of the vertical plate, the first assembly area is close to the vertical plate compared with the third assembly area, and the second assembly area is positioned on the other side of the vertical plate;
a first interface card located in the first assembly area of the housing; and
a second interface card located in the second assembly area or the third assembly area of the casing and electrically coupled to the first interface card;
the interface card assembly further includes a third interface card and a transmission element, wherein the third interface card is located in the third assembly area, and the transmission element is disposed through the through slot to connect the first interface card and the second interface card.
2. The interface card assembly of claim 1 wherein the housing includes a bottom shell, a top shell and a side shell, the side shell connecting the bottom shell and the top shell, the bottom shell, the top shell and the side shell together surrounding the receiving space, the at least one guide member mounted to the bottom shell.

The interface card assembly of claim 2, wherein the bottom housing has a first through hole and a second through hole corresponding to the first assembly area and the second assembly area, respectively, the first interface card has a first electrical connection port, the second interface card has a second electrical connection port, and the first electrical connection port and the second electrical connection port are disposed through the first through hole and the second through hole, respectively.

The interface card assembly of claim 2 wherein the side housing has a first aperture area, a second aperture area, a third aperture area and a cover, the first, second and third aperture areas corresponding to the first, second and third assembly areas, respectively, the first interface card having a plurality of first input/output ports, the second interface card having a plurality of second input/output ports, the first and second input/output ports located in the first and second aperture areas, respectively, the cover removably located in the third aperture area.

The interface card assembly of claim 2 wherein, with the second interface card in the third assembly area, the side shell has a first aperture area, a second aperture area, a third aperture area and a cover plate, the first aperture area, the second aperture area and the third aperture area respectively corresponding to the first assembly area, the second assembly area and the third assembly area, the first interface card has a plurality of first input/output ports, the second interface card has a plurality of second input/output ports, the first input/output ports and the second input/output ports are respectively located in the first aperture area and the third aperture area, the cover plate is removably located in the second aperture area.
6. The interface card assembly of claim 2 further comprising a handle pivotally mounted to the top housing and having a latch, the handle being rotatable relative to the top housing, the latch protruding from the housing for latching the housing.

The interface card assembly of claim 1, wherein the bracket further comprises a top plate, the top plate and the bottom plate each having a plurality of fixing arms, the first interface card and the second interface card being directly or indirectly fixed to the fixing arms of the bracket, each fixing arm having at least one locking hole and a bent structure, the connection between the fixing arms and the top plate or the bottom plate having a beveled structure.
