Description

Indication information sending method, indication information processing method and device
Technical Field

Background
The continuously developed communication technology meets the communication requirement of people on the mobile data service, and the mobile data service needs to occupy precious communication resources, so that the terminal equipment is often provided with an option for closing the mobile data connection, when the user selects to close the mobile data connection, the terminal equipment can stop using the mobile data service, the generation of undesirable flow consumption and cost is avoided, and the occupation of the communication resources is objectively reduced.
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, a data bearer between a terminal device and a network device is established in a network attachment process when the terminal device is powered on, so that a mobile data service of the terminal device can be kept online for a Long time, and the data bearer is disconnected only when the terminal device initiates network detachment, for example, when a user equipment is powered off. The user closes the mobile data connection of the terminal device, only closes the mobile data service on the operating system level of the terminal device, but the data bearer still exists, and when the network device generates a requirement for communication with the terminal device, the network device still communicates with the terminal device through the data bearer, thereby generating signaling overhead and flow consumption for occupying communication resources. If the data bearer is disconnected while the mobile data service of the terminal device is closed, although no traffic consumption is generated, sending the signaling for disconnecting the data bearer to the network device and performing a series of operations for disconnecting the data bearer, and sending the signaling for reestablishing the data bearer and reestablishing the data bearer when needed is very tedious and time-consuming, and especially when a user frequently opens and closes a mobile data connection, a large signaling overhead is also generated, and disconnecting the data bearer between the terminal device and the network device in the terminal device on state can bring adverse effects to communication services partially depending on the data bearer.

Wireless terminals, which may be mobile terminals such as mobile telephones (or "cellular" telephones) and computers having mobile terminals, such as portable, pocket, hand-held, computer-included, or vehicle-mounted mobile devices, may communicate with one or more core networks via a Radio Access Network (e.g., a Radio Access Network, RAN). Examples of such devices include Personal Communication Service (PCS) phones, cordless phones, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phones, Wireless Local Loop (WLL) stations, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), and the like. A wireless terminal may also be referred to as a system, a Subscriber Unit (SU), a Subscriber Station (SS), a mobile station (ms), a Remote Station (RS), an Access Point (AP), a remote device (RT), an Access Terminal (AT), a User Terminal (UT), a User Agent (UA), a User Equipment (UE), or a User Equipment (UE). The network device may be a base station, an enhanced base station, or a relay with scheduling functionality, or a device with base station functionality, etc. The base station may be an evolved Node B (eNB) or e-NodeB in the LTE system, or may also be a base station in other systems, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
It should be noted that, the embodiment of the present invention is described by taking an LTE system as an example, but this does not mean that the embodiment of the present invention is only applicable to the LTE system, and in fact, any communication system performing data services through wireless connection may adopt the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present invention.
In order to make the technical personnel in the field understand the scheme of the embodiment of the invention better, the embodiment of the invention is further explained in the following with the attached drawings and the implementation mode.

Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for sending and processing indication information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Step 201, the terminal device obtains an instruction for closing the mobile data service.
In many cases, the terminal device does not need to perform the mobile data service, for example, the user selects an option of closing the mobile data connection, and it is noted that at this time, the terminal device only closes the mobile data service on the operating system level, and the data bearer between the terminal device and the network device still exists, so that, in such a case that the mobile data service is not needed, the terminal device may obtain an instruction of closing the mobile data service, and then perform the subsequent steps.
Optionally, the obtaining, by the terminal device, the indication to close the mobile data service includes at least one of the following conditions:
the terminal equipment acquires an indication for closing the data connection. In this case, for example, the user selects an option of closing the mobile data connection, and the terminal device acquires an instruction to close the mobile data connection.
The terminal device obtains an indication of starting a flight mode. In this case, for example, the user selects the on flight mode, and the terminal device acquires an indication of the on flight mode.
The terminal equipment acquires an indication of connecting with the wireless fidelity Wi-Fi. In this case, for example, the user selects to connect to Wi-Fi, the terminal device obtains an indication of connecting to Wi-Fi when the terminal device is connected to Wi-Fi, and the terminal device may perform a mobile data service through Wi-Fi due to the connection to Wi-Fi, rather than performing the mobile data service through a data bearer between the terminal device and the network device.
The terminal equipment acquires an instruction of entering or leaving a preset area range. In this case, for example, the user may preset an area range for the terminal device, and when the terminal device determines to enter or leave the preset area range, the terminal device acquires an instruction to enter or leave the preset area range.
Step 202, the terminal device sends first indication information to a network device and maintains a data bearer with the network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate that paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device.
The terminal device maintains the data bearer with the network device, that is, the terminal device does not need to disconnect the data bearer with the network device. Compared with the way of disconnecting the data bearer, the method can avoid the signaling overhead and time consumption between the terminal equipment and the network equipment for disconnecting and reestablishing the data bearer, and also provides the possibility for the terminal equipment to perform some specific services by using the data bearer after the mobile data service is closed because the terminal equipment maintains the data bearer with the network equipment.
Optionally, the terminal device may send the first indication information to the network device through an uplink resource. For example, the terminal device is in a CONNECTED state, in which case, if the terminal device has been allocated uplink resources, the first indication information may be sent to the network device directly through the allocated uplink resources; if the terminal device has no available uplink resource, the first indication information may be sent to the network device by requesting the network device to allocate the uplink resource. For example, the terminal device is in an IDLE state, in this case, the terminal device may initiate a random access to establish a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection, and send the first indication information to the network device through an uplink resource acquired in a random access procedure.
Optionally, the first indication information includes an identifier ID of the terminal device, and/or status information of the terminal device.
Step 203, the network device receives the first indication information from the terminal device.
Step 204, the network device obtains an indication of initiating paging to the terminal device.
Step 205, the network device prohibits initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first indication information.
By adopting the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention, after acquiring the indication of closing the mobile data service, the terminal equipment sends the indication information for indicating that the paging is forbidden to be initiated to the terminal equipment to the network equipment, and the network equipment does not initiate the paging to the terminal equipment according to the indication information, thereby avoiding the signaling overhead and the flow consumption generated by paging the terminal equipment under the condition of closing the mobile data service, and in the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention, the terminal equipment always keeps the data bearing with the network equipment and does not need to disconnect the data bearing, compared with the implementation mode of disconnecting the data bearing, the signaling overhead and the time consumption of disconnecting and reestablishing the data bearing between the terminal equipment and the network equipment can be avoided, and also after the mobile data service is closed by the terminal equipment, it is possible to perform some specific services using the data bearer.
Optionally, the network device obtains the indication for initiating paging to the terminal device according to downlink data sent to the terminal. For example, the network device is a base station, when an MME finds that an S-GW has downlink data sent to the terminal device, the MME instructs the base station to initiate paging to the terminal device, the base station obtains an instruction to initiate paging to the terminal device, and the base station prohibits initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first instruction information.
Optionally, the network device may not receive the downlink data sent to the terminal device, and in this case, the network device does not need to occupy resources to receive and store the downlink data. Optionally, the network device may discard the received downlink data sent to the terminal device, and in this case, the network device does not need to occupy resources due to storing the downlink data. Optionally, the network device may buffer the received downlink data and the identifier ID of the terminal device, so that when the terminal device opens a mobile data connection, the downlink data is sent to the terminal device according to the ID of the terminal device, and the user is prevented from missing the downlink data.
In this embodiment of the present invention, optionally, the first indication information may further include information for indicating a mobile data service type, where the first indication information is used to indicate that paging unrelated to the mobile service data type is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, and optionally, paging related to the mobile data service type is allowed to be initiated to the terminal device. In this case, after receiving the first indication information, when the network device obtains an indication to initiate paging to the terminal device, the network device may prohibit initiating paging, which is not related to the mobile service data type, to the terminal device according to the first indication information. And the terminal equipment is allowed to initiate paging related to the mobile service data type according to the first indication information. For example, when downlink data needs to be sent to the terminal device through the network device, the network device obtains an indication for initiating paging to the terminal device, if the downlink data is not related to the mobile data service type, the paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device according to the first indication information, and if the downlink data is related to the mobile data service type, the paging is allowed to be initiated to the terminal device according to the first indication information. In the embodiment of the present invention, since it is not necessary to disconnect the data bearer between the terminal device and the network device, when the first indication information indicates that the paging unrelated to the mobile data service type is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, the mobile data service related to the mobile data service type may also be executed through the data bearer, that is, the mobile data service may be selectively turned off for the mobile data service type. For example, Voice over IP (VoIP) service is becoming an important Voice call method, and a terminal device may execute VoIP service through the data bearer. By adopting the implementation mode of the embodiment of the invention, when the terminal equipment identifies that the mobile data service needs to be closed, first indication information can be sent to network equipment, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating that the terminal equipment is prohibited from initiating paging irrelevant to the VoIP service type, so that when the network equipment acquires the indication of initiating paging to the terminal equipment according to VoIP service data sent to the terminal equipment, the network equipment allows the terminal equipment to initiate paging because the paging initiated by the indication is relevant to the VoIP service type indicated by the first indication information; and if the indication for initiating the paging to the terminal equipment is acquired according to the downlink data sent to the terminal equipment, but the downlink data sent to the terminal equipment is irrelevant to the VoIP service type, the network equipment prohibits initiating the paging to the terminal equipment.
Of course, the first indication information may also be used to indicate that the terminal device is prohibited from initiating paging related to the mobile data service type. In this case, after receiving the first indication information, the network device prohibits initiating paging related to the mobile data service type to the terminal device according to the first indication information, and optionally, allows initiating paging unrelated to the mobile data service type to the terminal device according to the first indication information.
In the embodiment of the present invention, optionally, the method may further include the following steps:
the terminal equipment acquires an indication for starting a mobile data service;
the terminal device sends second indication information to the network device according to the indication for starting the mobile data service, wherein the second indication information is used for indicating that the terminal device is allowed to initiate paging;
the network equipment receives the second indication information from the terminal equipment;
and when the network equipment acquires the indication of initiating paging to the terminal equipment, the network equipment allows the terminal equipment to initiate paging according to the second indication information.
Optionally, the obtaining, by the terminal device, the indication for starting the mobile data service includes at least one of the following conditions:
the terminal equipment obtains an indication for opening data connection. In this case, for example, if the user selects the option of opening the mobile data connection, the terminal device obtains an indication of opening the mobile data service.
The terminal device obtains an indication to turn off the flight mode. In this case, for example, if the user selects to turn off the flight mode, the terminal device obtains an indication to turn off the flight mode.
The terminal equipment acquires an indication of disconnection of the Wi-Fi. In this case, for example, the user selects to disconnect Wi-Fi, the terminal device obtains an instruction to disconnect Wi-Fi when the terminal device disconnects Wi-Fi, and the terminal device cannot perform a data service through Wi-Fi due to disconnection of WiFi, and further needs to perform a mobile data service through a data bearer between the terminal device and the network device.
The terminal equipment acquires an instruction of entering or leaving a preset area range. In this case, for example, the user may preset an area range for the terminal device, and when the terminal device enters or leaves this preset area range, the terminal device acquires an instruction to enter or leave the preset area range.
It should be noted that, regarding how the terminal device sends the second indication information, reference may be made to the description of how the terminal device sends the first indication information in the foregoing embodiment, and also reference may be made to the description of sending the indication information subsequently, which is not described herein again. In addition, in the embodiment of the present invention, the terminal device obtains an indication to start a mobile data service and sends the second indication information to the network device, and the network device allows to initiate paging to the terminal device after receiving the second indication information, and in the whole process, the terminal device keeps a data bearer with the network device always connected.
In this embodiment of the present invention, optionally, the second indication information may further include information for indicating a mobile data service type, where the second indication information is used to indicate that paging irrelevant to the mobile service data type is allowed to be initiated to the terminal device, and optionally, paging relevant to the mobile data service type is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device.
Of course, the second indication information may also be used to indicate that the terminal device is allowed to initiate paging related to the mobile data service type, and optionally, the terminal device is prohibited from initiating paging unrelated to the mobile data service.
In this embodiment of the present invention, optionally, the terminal device sends the first indication information or the second indication information to a network device, and the first indication information or the second indication information may be sent through an uplink resource indicated in a random access response Message (Message 2). Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a method for sending the first indication information or the second indication information through uplink resources indicated in a random access response message according to an embodiment of the present invention, for example, after a terminal device identifies that a mobile data service needs to be closed or opened, a contention-based random access procedure is initiated to the network device, as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 301, the terminal device sends a Preamble code (Message1) to the network device. For example, the terminal device randomly selects a random access Preamble code, sends the Preamble code to the network device on the physical random access channel, and monitors the response of the network device.
Step 302, the network device sends a random access response Message (Message2) to the terminal device, where the random access response Message indicates the uplink resource allocated by the network device.
Step 303, the terminal device sends the first indication information or the second indication information through the uplink resource indicated by the random access response message. Since the random access response message indicates the uplink resource allocated by the network device, the terminal device may send the first indication information or the second indication information to the network device through the uplink resource.
Optionally, the terminal device may send an RRC connection request Message (Message3) through the uplink resource indicated in the random access response Message, where the RRC connection request Message includes the first indication information or the second indication information.
Optionally, the first indication information or the second indication information includes an RRC connection establishment cause parameter estabilishmentcause. For example, in the random access process, the terminal device sends an RRC connection request message through the uplink resource indicated in the random access response message, and the RRC connection request message may indicate a reason for establishing an RRC connection through an estabilishment cause, so that an estabilishment cause for indicating prohibition or permission of initiating paging to the terminal device may be defined. It may also be considered that the first indication information or the second indication information is transmitted by indicating an estabilishment cause prohibiting or allowing paging to be initiated for the terminal device.
Optionally, a new cause value may be defined for the estabilishment cause to indicate that paging is prohibited or allowed to be initiated for the terminal device. Optionally, the cause value indicating that the estabilishment cause for initiating paging to the terminal device is forbidden is defined as uedataswitchedfoff, or the first indication information includes uedataswitchedfoff, when the terminal device identifies that the mobile data service needs to be closed, a random access procedure is initiated, an RRC connection establishment cause parameter uedataswitchedfoff is sent to the network device through an RRC connection request message, and when the network device identifies the RRC connection establishment cause parameter uedataswitchedfoff, paging is no longer initiated to the terminal device.
Optionally, the cause value of the estabilishment cause that allows the terminal device to initiate paging is defined as UEDataSwitchedOn, or the second indication information includes UEDataSwitchedOn, when the terminal device identifies that the mobile data service needs to be started, a random access procedure is initiated, an RRC connection establishment cause parameter UEDataSwitchedOn is sent to the network device through an RRC connection request message, and when the network device identifies the RRC connection establishment cause parameter UEDataSwitchedOn, paging is allowed to be initiated to the terminal device.
Optionally, the terminal device sends the first indication information or the second indication information through an identification bit in the RRC connection request message. For example, a preset bit in the sent RRC connection request message is defined as the identification bit, when the identification bit in the sent RRC connection request message is 1, the first indication information is sent on behalf of the user, when the identification bit in the sent RRC connection request message is 0, the second indication information is sent on behalf of the user, that is, when the identification bit in the RRC connection request message sent by the terminal device is 1, the user indicates that paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, and when the identification bit in the RRC connection request message sent by the terminal device is 0, the user indicates that paging is permitted to be initiated to the terminal device. Of course, it may also be defined that a first preset bit in the sent RRC connection request message is a first identification bit indicating that paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, and a second preset bit in the sent RRC connection request message is a second identification bit indicating that paging is permitted to be initiated to the terminal device, so that when the first identification bit is 1, it is indicated that paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, and when the second identification bit is 1, it is indicated that paging is permitted to be initiated to the terminal device.
Step 304, the network device sends a contention resolution Message (Message4) to the terminal device.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present invention, a specific form of sending the first indication information or the second indication information through the uplink resource indicated by the random access response message is not limited, and it is only required to send the first indication information or the second indication information through the uplink resource. The terminal equipment sends the first indication information or the second indication information through the uplink resources indicated by the random access response message, and the first indication information or the second indication information can be sent without waiting for the end of the random access process, so that the speed of sending the first indication information or the second indication information is improved, the first indication information or the second indication information does not need to be sent separately by using the uplink resources configured in the random access process, and the signaling overhead is saved.
In an optional embodiment, after receiving the first indication information or the second indication information from the terminal device, the network device may send the first indication information or the second indication information to another network device, so that the other network device prohibits or allows initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first indication information or the second indication information. Taking the first indication information as an example, fig. 4 is a flowchart of an indication information sending and processing method according to another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4:
step 401, the terminal device obtains an instruction to close the mobile data service.
Step 402, the terminal device sends first indication information to a first network device according to the indication of closing the mobile data service, where the first indication information is used to indicate that paging is prohibited from being initiated to the terminal device, and the terminal device maintains data bearer with the first network device.
Step 403, the first network device receives the first indication information from the terminal device.
Step 404, the first network device sends the first indication information to a second network device. In this case, after receiving the first indication information indicating that the paging initiation to the terminal device is prohibited, the first network device may send the first indication information to the second network device, and perform the step of prohibiting the paging initiation to the terminal device through the second network device.
For example, the first network device and the second network device are both base stations. In this case, after sending the first indication information to the first base station, the terminal device may move from the coverage area of the first base station to the coverage area of the second base station, so that paging may be initiated to the terminal device by the second base station. Therefore, the first base station may send the received first indication information to the second base station, and the step of prohibiting the initiation of paging for the terminal device is performed by the second base station.
For example, the first network device is a base station and the second network device is an MME. In this case, when downlink data needs to be pushed to a terminal device, an MME often initiates paging to the terminal device through a base station, and therefore, the base station may send the received first indication information to the MME, and perform a step of prohibiting paging to the terminal device through the MME.
Optionally, after receiving the first indication information from the terminal device, the first network device may send the first indication information to the second network device through an S1 interface, or may directly send the first indication information to the second network device through an NAS interface. The embodiment of the present invention does not limit how the first network device sends the received indication information to the second network device.
Optionally, when the first network device sends the first indication information to the second network device, the identifier ID of the first network device may be added to the first indication information.
Step 405, the second network device receives the first indication information.
Step 406, the second network device obtains an indication to initiate paging to the terminal device.
Step 407, the second network device prohibits initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first indication information.
Optionally, the second network device obtains the indication that the terminal device initiates paging according to downlink data sent to the terminal. For example, the second network device is an MME, and when discovering that there is downlink data sent to the terminal device, the MME acquires an indication to initiate paging to the terminal device, and the MME prohibits initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first indication information. For example, the second network device is a base station, and when an MME finds that there is downlink data sent to the terminal device, the MME instructs the base station to initiate paging to the terminal device, the base station obtains an instruction to initiate paging to the terminal device, and the base station prohibits initiating paging to the terminal device according to the first instruction information.
Optionally, the second network device may not receive the downlink data sent to the terminal device. For example, the second network device is a base station, and the base station may not receive the downlink data sent to the terminal device after prohibiting initiating paging to the terminal device, so that resources do not need to be occupied to receive and store the downlink data.
Optionally, the network device may discard the received downlink data sent to the terminal device. In this case, the network device does not need to occupy resources for storing the downstream data.
Optionally, the second network device may receive the downlink data sent to the terminal device, and further, may cache the downlink data and the identifier ID of the terminal device, so that when the terminal device starts a mobile data service, the downlink data is sent to the terminal device according to the ID of the terminal device, and the user is prevented from missing the downlink data.
By adopting the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention, after receiving the first indication information indicating that the paging initiation to the terminal equipment is forbidden, the first network equipment sends the first indication information to the second network equipment, so that the second network equipment is forbidden to initiate the paging to the terminal equipment when acquiring the indication of initiating the paging to the terminal equipment.
It should be noted that, in an optional embodiment, the first network device may further send the second indication information to the second network device after receiving the second indication information indicating that paging is allowed to be initiated for the terminal device, and the second network device allows paging to be initiated for the terminal device after receiving the second indication information, where content the same as or similar to that in the foregoing embodiment may refer to the description in the foregoing embodiment, and is not described again here.
