Background
An electronic Marketing mail (EDM) is a network Marketing means for delivering valuable information to a target user by means of an e-mail on the premise of prior permission of the user. Email marketing has three basic factors: user permissions, email delivery information, information valuable to the user.
Since the EDM mail is a mail requiring regular transmission of new product promotion, user care, periodical consultation, etc., the number of mails transmitted is usually huge, for example, the naughty needs to transmit hundreds of millions of EDM mails every day during 11 dues. In practical application, an EDM mail sender needs to count the relationship between marketing benefits and the EDM mail sending success rate, and needs to count the sending information such as the success rate, the failure rate, the invalid address rate and the like of sending the EDM mail every time.
However, with the increasing of users and contents of the internet, the demands of users are more and more complicated, and the traditional one-to-many mail marketing mode cannot meet the requirements of users, so that many-to-many personalized marketing mails are produced, and many-to-many characteristics in the personalized marketing mails require that the mail contents seen by each user are different and personalized.
One existing statistical method is that when counting the sending information of an EDM mail according to a sending account of the EDM mail, because the same sending account often sends EDM mails of different batches in the same time period and has a huge number, only the success rate or failure rate of sending the EDM mail in the time period can be counted, and thus more detailed statistics on personalized EDM mails cannot be realized. Another existing statistical method is to embed links in the mail text in advance, so that a recipient user opens the links after receiving the mail to obtain statistical information, however, in this method, a web server that the recipient user can access must be built, and the links embedded in advance in the mail text are collected, and the statistical cost is increased due to the addition of an additional web server.
Therefore, a low-cost statistical method for EDM mail sending information capable of realizing individuation and detail is needed.

Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a sending process of an email, as shown in fig. 1, the sending process of the email generally includes that a sender sends content of the email to a MAIL Transfer AGENT (MTA) where a sending domain is located through a MAIL USER AGENT (MUA) program, then the MTA where the sending domain is located delivers the email to an MTA where a receiving domain is located, and a receiver views the email sent by the sender through the MUA. Common MUAs include email client programs such as Foxmail, Outlook Express, and the like; the MTA where the sending domain is located may become the sending mail server and the MTA where the receiving domain is located may be referred to as the receiving mail server.
The inventor finds that the existing marketing mail sending information statistical method has the following problems in the process of implementing the invention:
suppose that user a wants to send a marketing mail of a network television product to target user B, and send a mobile phone marketing mail to target user C, where target users B, C are different groups, target users B include all target users subscribed to the marketing mail of the network television product, and target user C includes all target users subscribed to the mobile phone marketing mail; and the user A sends the marketing mail of the network television product and the mobile phone marketing mail to the mail sending server through the MUA program, the mail sending server sends the marketing mail of the network television product and the mobile phone marketing mail to the mail receiving server, the mail receiving server sends the marketing mail of the network television product to the target user B, and the mobile phone marketing mail is sent to the target user C. In the prior art, the mail sending server counts the sending information of the marketing mail according to the sending account, and can only count the sending success rate, the failure rate and other information of the marketing mail sent by the sending account; the information such as the sending success rate and the failure rate of the marketing mails of the network television products and the information such as the sending success rate and the failure rate of the mobile phone marketing mails cannot be counted; that is, the sending mail server cannot acquire the classification information of the marketing mail to be sent, and therefore it is not possible to count the sending information of each classified marketing mail. User a (sender user) often wants to know about the delivery information of a classified marketing mail. In order to obtain the classification information of the transmitted marketing mail, in another prior art, a link is embedded in a mail text in advance, so that a receiver user opens statistical information after receiving the mail, however, the method needs to additionally configure a web server for collecting the link, thereby greatly increasing the statistical cost of the transmitted information.
In order to solve the problems in the prior art, the technical scheme of the invention presets a strategy of adding the classification label of the marketing mail when the marketing mail is sent in a mail sending protocol by expanding the mail sending protocol (such as an SMTP protocol), so that after the mail sending server sends the marketing mail to a target user, the sending server can send information according to the classification label in the marketing mail through the sending success rate, the failure rate and the like of the marketing mail corresponding to the classification label, thereby feeding back more personalized and detailed statistical information to a sender user and greatly reducing the cost.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for sending a marketing mail according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, including:
201. adding a classification label of the marketing mail when the user equipment of the sending party sends the marketing mail;
the method and the device have the advantages that a strategy (expanded mail sending protocol for short) for adding the classification label of the marketing mail when the marketing mail is sent is preset in the mail sending protocol;
in an optional implementation manner, when a sending account authentication stage is preset in the extended email sending protocol, a classification tag of the marketing email is added to the sending account; in practical application, in order to distinguish the sending account from the classification label of the marketing mail, a separation symbol is added between the sending account and the classification label of the marketing mail;
in practical application, the classification label of the marketing mail comprises one or more classification labels in parallel hierarchical relationship, or comprises one or more classification labels in up-and-down hierarchical relationship, and when a plurality of classification labels are included, a separation symbol is added between each classification label. For example, assuming that the marketing mail is related to an electronic product, the first-level classification tag is a tag of the electronic product, the electronic product includes a mobile phone, a television, a PC, and the like, and the second-level classification tag includes a tag of the mobile phone, the television, the PC, and the like, wherein the tags of the mobile phone, the television, the PC, and the like are parallel tags belonging to the tags of the electronic product; the mobile phones comprise mobile phones of various brands (such as apple, Huashi, three stars and the like), the third-level classification tags comprise parallel tags of apple, Huashi, three stars and the like, the mobile phones of apples comprise various models (iphone5, iphone6, iphone7 and the like), and the fourth-level tags comprise parallel tags of iphone5, iphone6, iphone7 and the like. The category labels of embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above-illustrated category labels.
Based on the above extended mail sending protocol, step 201 adds the classification label of the marketing mail in the sending account in a specific implementation, for example, when the sending user equipment is in the sending account authentication phase; and sending the sending account authentication information added with the classification label of the marketing mail to the mail sending server.
Fig. 3 is a schematic flowchart of a conventional process between an e-mail sender and a sending mail server, fig. 4 is a schematic flowchart of a process between an e-mail sender and a sending mail server according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 3 and fig. 4, the sender refers to a user equipment that sends a marketing mail, and the e-mail office refers to an e-mail office (referred to as a sending mail server for short) where the sender is located. As shown in fig. 3, there is no policy for presetting the classification tag of the marketing mail in the existing mail transmission protocol, and therefore, it is impossible to count the corresponding transmission information according to the classification tag of the mail. As shown in fig. 4, a policy of a classification tag of a marketing mail is preset in an extended mail sending protocol of the present invention, specifically, when a sending user equipment sends authentication information to a sending mail server, the sent authentication information may carry the classification tag of the marketing mail, for example, AAAA in fig. 4 is a separation symbol, tag is a classification tag, and it should be noted that the separation symbol in the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned exemplified symbol.
Fig. 5 is a schematic configuration diagram of existing transmission account authentication information, fig. 6 is a schematic configuration diagram of transmission account authentication information according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 5, there is no policy for presetting a classification tag of a marketing mail in an existing mail transmission protocol, and therefore, the classification tag of the mail cannot be added to the transmission account authentication information. As shown in fig. 6, a policy of a category label of a marketing mail is preset in the expanded mail sending protocol of the present invention, and the category label of the mail may be added to the sending account authentication information, specifically, as shown in fig. 6, it is assumed that the sending account is xxxx @ test.com, a separation symbol AAAA is added after the sending account xxxx @ test.com, and a category label yaoqing of the marketing mail is added after the separation symbol AAAA, where the category label yaoqing means that the marketing mail is an invitation mail. It should be noted that the positions of the separation symbols and the form symbols of the classification labels in the embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above examples.
202. Sending the marketing mail added with the classification label to a target user through a mail sending server; and enabling the mail sending server to count the sending information of the marketing mail sent to the target user and corresponding to the classification label according to the classification label in the marketing mail and send the sending information to the sending party user equipment.
Wherein the sending information includes, but is not limited to, a category label and one or more of the following: a transmission success rate, a failure rate, an invalid address rate. In this embodiment, the sending information may carry the following information:
(1) sorting labels and sending success rate;
