Description

Tooth pick
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of oral hygiene appliances, in particular to a toothpick.
Background
Traditional toothpicks are cylindrical with a tapered conical head at one or both ends, the end of the head being pointed, typically made of bamboo, wood or plastic.
When the mouth-opening device is used, the tip is inserted into a slit between teeth, and the gradually-thickened conical head pushes residual food into the oral cavity. The conical head is repeatedly inserted into the interdental space and extracted until the residual food is completely removed. The tip, in addition to guiding the toothpick into the interdental space, is sometimes used to remove residual food, which can easily stab the flesh of the tooth and cause bleeding. The conical head is often overly forced into the crevices of the teeth for the purpose of removing residual food. But the long-term use also can enlarge the tooth gaps gradually, so that food is easier to accumulate in the tooth gaps. If the residual food is not cleaned, the food will ferment to cause inflammation of the gum and progress to periodontal disease. The chronic inflammation and swelling of the gum can cause the gum to retract into the gum, thereby exposing more roots and causing the teeth to easily shake and fall off. Also, the conical head also enlarges the crevice between teeth, creating more residual food. Conventional toothpicks, while removing most of the food residue, often leave behind a fine residue. These residues, if not removed during brushing, can also ferment and infect inflammation of the gums.
The other plastic toothpick is provided with a plurality of rows of thin brushes which are integrally formed with the toothpick, so that food can be effectively removed inwards and outwards. However, since the plastic brush is made of hard material, the plastic brush is easy to irritate the teeth and cause discomfort when in use.
Based on the defects that the toothpick is too hard, uncomfortable and stabs the tooth meat, the soft rubber toothpick is provided in the prior art. The soft rubber toothpick is provided with a section of soft rubber at the top end of the hard plastic rod, and a plurality of rows of thin and soft brushes are arranged on the brush rubber to avoid stabbing the teeth meat during tooth picking. The thin and soft brush is too soft, and the effect of removing residual food in the slit between teeth can be achieved only by removing for many times when in use. In addition, because the end part is sleeved with a long section of soft rubber, the end part of the toothpick is too soft, and the soft rubber and the soft brush at the end part can be bent frequently to lose effectiveness when the toothpick is penetrated into a slit between teeth. To address this drawback, U.S. patent (US2015282601a1) discloses mixing a nylon brush with a soft brush, using the nylon brush to remove food left behind by the soft brush, and using a steel wire to strengthen the end of the toothpick.
Because the diameter of the end part of the toothpick is reduced from thick to thin, the end part is the weakest part of the toothpick. This phenomenon is particularly prominent with plastic toothpicks, causing them to break easily. Since the conventional toothpick relies on a gradually thickened conical head to push the residual food out of the crevices between teeth, it is slowly and gradually thickened from a thinner one. This has not caused much problem in bamboo and wood toothpicks. However, in the plastic toothpick, when the end is sleeved with the soft rubber, the plastic toothpick is easy to bend. The bent toothpick loses the cleaning function.
Disclosure of Invention
Aiming at the defects in the prior art, the invention aims to provide the toothpick which is designed by combining the body rod and the soft rubber layer, so that the strength of the toothpick is ensured to meet the use requirement, the oral cavity is protected from being stabbed by the soft rubber layer, and meanwhile, the residual food in the tooth gaps is effectively scraped through the shape of the bristles and the improved design of the convex teeth on the bristles, so that the oral cavity is cleaned.
According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a toothpick comprising:
the body rod comprises a pointed end, a connecting section and a groove section, wherein the groove section is provided with an annular groove extending along the length direction of the body rod;
the soft glue layer comprises a tip end coated with the tip end and a brushing section coated with the annular groove circumferentially along the length direction of the body rod, and the outer wall of the soft glue layer and the exposed outer wall of the body rod form an integrated smooth outer wall.
Preferably, the outer wall of the bristle section is provided with two rows of soft rubber bristles which are symmetrically distributed relative to the axis of the body rod, the soft rubber bristles are provided with first ends which are integrated with the outer wall of the bristle section, and second ends which extend in any direction with the body rod.
Preferably, the extension direction of the soft rubber bristles points from the pointed end of the body rod to the other end of the body rod opposite to the pointed end.
Preferably, the soft rubber bristles are flat along the length direction of the body rod, and/or the soft rubber bristles are hook-shaped along the extension direction of the body rod.
Preferably, the soft rubber bristles are provided with a plurality of soft rubber convex teeth which form any angle with the extending direction of the soft rubber bristles.
Preferably, a plurality of special-shaped bristles are vertically distributed on the outer wall of the bristle section between the two rows of soft rubber bristles, and the orthogonal projection of the special-shaped bristles on the outer wall of the bristle section is in any regular or irregular geometric shape.
Preferably, the special-shaped bristles are distributed in a plurality of rows along the length direction of the body rod, or the special-shaped bristles are distributed on the outer wall of the bristle section at irregular intervals.
Preferably, the outer wall of linkage segment is equipped with and follows the length direction of body pole distributes strip recess, the soft glue film still pastes including the connecting strip and covers strip recess, the outer wall of connecting strip with the outer wall that the linkage segment was not pasted and is covered forms the smooth outer wall of integration.
Preferably, the connecting section of the body rod is tapered with a thick end connecting with the groove section and a thin end connecting with the tip.
Preferably, the cross section of the groove section after covering the bristle section is any one of circular, square, diamond, oval and triangular.
Preferably, the body rod is made of polypropylene or other hard plastics, and the soft rubber layer is made of thermoplastic elastomer.
Preferably, the toothpick further comprises a gripping handle, the other end of the body bar opposite the tip being connected to the gripping handle; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the toothpick also comprises a grasping handle, and the two ends of the grasping handle are respectively connected with the first body rod and the second body rod which are different in thickness.
In view of the above, the toothpick of the invention combines the body rod and the soft rubber layer, thereby not only ensuring that the strength of the toothpick meets the use requirement, but also protecting the oral cavity from being stabbed by the soft rubber layer. The toothpick of the invention mainly depends on the bristle section of the soft adhesive layer to remove residual food, so the importance of the process of slowly and gradually changing from thin to thick of the connecting section of the traditional toothpick is relatively reduced, and the process of changing from thin to thick can be shortened and accelerated by the connecting section of the toothpick of the invention. A shortened connecting section has a much increased strength and thus reduces the likelihood of buckling of the connecting section, thereby maintaining the functionality of the toothpick unaffected.
In addition, the invention breaks through the shape and design of the traditional brush, thereby increasing the strength of the brush. The traditional brush is mostly cylindrical, the root part of the traditional brush is thicker than the top part of the traditional brush and is thinner, so that the brush is easy to bend and the function of removing residual food is reduced. The invention changes the structure of the soft rubber brush bristles by the improved design of the shapes of the brush bristles and the convex teeth on the brush bristles, so that the strength of the soft rubber brush can be increased to achieve the purpose of completely removing the soft rubber brush bristles. And the design of the die is simplified in production, and the purposes of high-efficiency production and cost reduction are achieved.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a toothpick in an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the toothpick 1 comprises a guide portion 11, a connecting portion 12, a bristle portion 13 and a handle portion 14 in this embodiment. When the toothpick holder is used, a user grasps the handle part 14, inserts the toothpick 1 into gaps between teeth through the guide part 11, the belt extends into the gaps between the teeth along with the connecting part 12 and the bristle part 13, and the bristles with different shapes on the bristle part 13 are used for cleaning and scraping food residues. Wherein, the guide part 11 and the brush part 13 are both formed by wrapping soft rubber by a hard rod body, thereby ensuring that the skin of the oral cavity is not stabbed when the guide part is inserted into the slit between the teeth and food residues are removed and scraped. Connecting portion 12 is the stereoplasm body of rod, ensures that the intensity of toothpick 1 tip accords with the user demand, because need repeatedly plug the toothpick when cleaing away oral cavity food waste, also the guide part 11, connecting portion 12 and the brush hair part 13 of toothpick 1 can stretch into repeatedly and extract the tooth seam, sets up connecting portion 12 to the stereoplasm body of rod, can guarantee that the intensity of toothpick 1 tip can not lead to buckling because of normal application of force and the frictional force between the tooth seam when picking the tooth. Specifically, the toothpick 1 is an integrated structure formed by combining a hard body rod 2 and a soft rubber layer 3, the body rod 2 can be made of polypropylene materials or other hard plastics, and the soft rubber layer 3 can be made of thermoplastic elastomer materials.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the body bar 2 of fig. 1. Referring to fig. 2, the body shaft 2 includes a tip 21, a connecting section 22 and a groove section 23, and a handle section 24. The groove section 23 is provided with an annular groove extending along the length direction of the body rod 2, and in combination with the illustration, the groove section 23 is entirely in a radially recessed structure, so that a groove section 23 with a recessed cross-sectional diameter dimension is formed on the body rod 2. In addition, the pointed end 21 is also in a radially recessed structure relative to the connecting section 22, so that soft glue can be conveniently coated on the outer walls of the pointed end 21 and the groove section 23 to form an integrated smooth outer wall.
The connecting section 22 is tapered with a thick end 221 and a thin end 222, the thick end 221 connecting with the groove section 23 and the thin end 222 connecting with the tip 21. The toothpick thus formed is generally in the form of a strip tapering from the handle portion 14 to the leading portion 11 to facilitate cleaning in use with the leading portion 11 being thinner and extending into the mouth. The outer wall of the connecting section 22 is provided with strip-shaped grooves 220 distributed along the length direction of the body rod 2, so that soft glue can be conveniently pasted and an integrated smooth outer wall is formed. In addition, the handle section 24 is also provided with strip-shaped grooves 240 distributed along the length direction of the body rod 2, and the strip-shaped grooves are also used for applying soft glue.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the soft adhesive layer in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 3, the soft rubber layer 3 includes a tip 21 having a tip 31 covering the body bar 2, a bristle section 33 circumferentially covering the groove section 23 along the length direction of the body bar 2, and the outer wall of the soft rubber layer 3 and the exposed outer wall of the body bar 2 form an integrated smooth outer wall. On the outer wall of the bristle section 33, two kinds of bristles having different shapes and extending directions, i.e., soft rubber bristles 331 and special-shaped bristles 332, are distributed, which will be described later.
As a preferred embodiment, the toothpick 1 of the present invention is formed by two-time injection molding, i.e. injection molding the body rod 2, and injection molding the soft rubber layer 3, and then the sharp end 31 and the bristle section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3 are respectively covered on the sharp end 21 and the groove section 23 of the body rod 2 to form an integrated toothpick structure. In order to ensure that the size of the soft rubber layer 3 is matched with the body rod 2 and facilitate the one-time injection molding of the soft rubber layer 3, a connecting strip 32 is further arranged between the tip 31 and the bristle section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3. Referring to fig. 2, the length of the connecting strip 32 is the same as the length of the strip-shaped groove 220 on the connecting section 22 of the body rod 2, and the connecting strip 32 is attached to the strip-shaped groove 220 in a seamless manner. In addition, the other end of the brush section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3 is also connected with a soft rubber handle 34 which can comprise a strip-shaped soft rubber layer and a block-shaped soft rubber layer, and the strip-shaped groove 240 of the handle section 24 of the body rod 2 is also seamlessly pasted and covered.
Fig. 4 is an enlarged view of the leading portion 11 of fig. 1, i.e., a view in which the tip 31 of the soft gel layer 3 wraps around the pointed end 21 of the body shaft 2. As shown in fig. 4, the outline of the body rod 2 is outlined by a bold dotted line, and the soft rubber layer 3 is filled by a cross-shaped shadow. The tip 21 of the body rod 2 forms a section of structure that contracts radially inwards, the tip 31 cladding of the soft glue layer 3 is in the periphery of the tip 21, and the outer wall of the soft glue layer 3 after cladding is flush with the exposed outer wall of the body rod 2 to form an integrated structure. With this structure, the guide portion 11 can smoothly extend into the gap between teeth when the toothpick 1 is inserted into the mouth without stabbing the flesh.
Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the connection portion 12 in fig. 1, i.e. a cross-sectional view of the connection strip 32 of the soft adhesive layer 3 attached to the strip-shaped groove 220 of the connection section 22 of the body bar 2. As shown in fig. 5, the connecting section 22 of the body rod 2 has a circular cross section, and a portion of the concave structure is formed on the outer wall thereof to extend along the length direction of the body rod, forming a strip-shaped groove 220. In the strip-shaped groove 220, the connecting strip 32 of the soft rubber layer 3 is pasted. Through set up strip recess 22 on body pole 2, the mode that strip recess 22 was pasted to the connecting strip 32 on flexible glue layer 3 for paste the outer wall that covers back connecting strip 32 and linkage segment 22 and expose and form the smooth outer wall of integration. In the connecting part 12, a surface pasting covering mode rather than a circumferential covering mode is adopted between the soft rubber layer 3 and the body rod 2, so that the strength of the connecting part 12 of the toothpick 1 can meet the use requirement, and the use of the toothpick 1 due to the fact that the end part of the toothpick 1 is too soft due to the fact that the whole soft rubber layer 3 is covered cannot be influenced. Simultaneously, as above, the benefit that flexible glue layer 3 set up connecting strip 32 still lies in, and connecting strip 32 is used for connecting pointed end 31 and brush hair section 33, and flexible glue layer 3 once only injection moulding when being convenient for manufacture, and need not separately injection moulding pointed end 31 and brush hair section 33, has promoted production efficiency greatly.
Fig. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the bristle part 13 of fig. 1, i.e. a schematic cross-sectional view of the bristle section 33 of the soft gel layer 3 circumferentially surrounding the groove section 23 of the body shaft 2. As shown in fig. 6, the body rod 2 is circular in cross-section at the groove section 23 and has a diameter smaller than that of the connecting section 22, thereby forming an annular groove which is radially recessed and extends in the length direction of the body rod 2. The brush hair section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3 wraps the groove section 23 around the axis of the body rod 2 in a circle, and after the brush hair section 33 is wrapped, the outer wall (without brush hair) of the brush hair section 33 is flush with the exposed outer wall of the connecting section 22 and the handle section 24 of the body rod 2, so that an integrated smooth outer wall is formed. And, the bristles (including soft bristles 331 and shaped bristles 332, which will be described later) provided on the bristle section 33 are arranged around the body bar 2 by 360 °, so that the bristles can be cleaned to any corner of the interdental space regardless of the angle at which the guide part 11 is inserted into the oral cavity when the oral cavity is cleaned.
As described above, the tip 31 of the soft glue layer 3 covers the pointed end 21 of the body rod 2 to form the guiding part 11 of the toothpick 1; connecting strips 32 of the soft adhesive layer 3 are attached to the connecting sections 22 of the body rod 2 to form the connecting parts 12 of the toothpicks 1; the bristle section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3 annularly coats the groove section 23 of the body rod 2 to form the bristle part 13 of the toothpick 1; the handle 34 of the soft gel layer 3 is attached to the handle segment 24 of the body rod 2 to form the handle portion 14 of the toothpick 1. After the soft adhesive layer 3 is coated or attached on the body rod 2, the formed toothpick 1 has a smooth and integrated outer wall in the whole structure, namely the outer wall of the soft adhesive layer 3 and the exposed outer wall of the body rod 2 form an integrated smooth and connected outer wall. The soft rubber layer 3 and the body rod 2 are both formed by a one-time injection molding process, so that the production and the manufacture are convenient. Therefore, the formed toothpick 1 has a smooth rod body, can conveniently and smoothly extend into the gaps between the teeth, cleans food residues in the process of extending and pulling out, and cannot cause the phenomena of blocking or disjointing.
Fig. 7 to 10 are schematic diagrams showing different distribution modes of two rows of soft rubber bristles 331 opposite to each other on the soft rubber layer 3. Referring to fig. 3 and 7 to 10, two rows of soft rubber bristles 331 symmetrically distributed with respect to the axis of the body bar 2 are disposed on the outer wall of the bristle section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3, the soft rubber bristles 331 have first ends integrated with the outer wall of the bristle section 33, and second ends extending in any direction with the body bar 2. Because the soft rubber layer 3 is formed by injection molding of a male mold and a female mold, two rows of soft rubber bristles 331 symmetrically distributed relative to the axis of the body rod 2 can be arranged at the mold opening line of the male mold and the female mold, and the shape of the soft rubber bristles 331 can be in various forms, such as a column shape shown in fig. 7, a wide flat shape shown in fig. 8, a cone shape shown in fig. 9, or any other geometric shapes. The extension direction of the soft rubber bristles 331 can form any angle with the body rod 2, that is, can be perpendicular to the outer wall of the bristle section 33 as shown in fig. 7 to 9, and can also extend at a certain angle with the outer wall of the bristle section 33 as shown in fig. 10. A plurality of soft rubber convex teeth 333 forming an arbitrary angle with the extending direction thereof may be provided on the soft rubber bristle 331, and the end portions of the soft rubber convex teeth 333 may be set smooth. Through the design of the soft rubber bristles 331 with different extension directions and shapes and the convex teeth 333, the effects of cleaning and scraping residual food in tooth gaps of the toothpick 1 are improved to the maximum extent.
Fig. 11 is an enlarged view of the soft gel bristles 331 of the embodiment. As shown in fig. 11, in a preferred embodiment, the soft gel bristles 331 extend at an angle to the outer wall of the bristle section 33 and extend from the tip end (indicated by a) of the body shaft 2 to the other end B of the body shaft 2 opposite to the tip end a. Therefore, when the toothpick extends into the slit between the teeth, the extending direction of the soft rubber bristles 331 is the same as the motion track of the toothpick 1, so that the soft rubber bristles 331 smoothly enter the slit between the teeth and cannot be deformed and bent. When the slit between the teeth is pulled out, the extending direction of the soft rubber bristles 331 is opposite to the motion track of the toothpick 1, so that the soft rubber bristles 331 can deform and bend due to friction between the slit between the teeth, play a role similar to a hook, and hook and scrape off food residues in the slit between the teeth. Correspondingly, as shown in fig. 11, the soft rubber bristles 331 are hook-shaped along the extending direction and are flat along the length direction of the body rod 2, so that the soft rubber bristles 331 maintain strength when the toothpick 1 extends into the slit between the teeth, and the soft rubber bristles 331 hook and scrape off food residues when the toothpick 1 is pulled out of the slit between the teeth. Furthermore, the convex teeth 333 on the soft rubber bristles 331 also help to clean and scrape food residues in tooth gaps.
Fig. 12 is a schematic view of the shaped bristles 332 on the soft rubber layer 3. A plurality of special-shaped bristles 332 can be vertically distributed on the outer wall of the bristle section 33 between the two rows of soft rubber bristles 331, and the orthogonal projection of the special-shaped bristles 332 on the outer wall of the bristle section 33 is in any regular or irregular geometric shape, such as a square, a rectangle, a triangle, a circle, a pentagon, a cross shape, an L shape and other geometric shapes shown in the figure. The provision of shaped bristles 332 of different geometries also helps to scrape off residual food in the crevices. The shaped bristles 332 may be distributed in several rows along the length direction of the body shaft 2, or the shaped bristles 332 may be irregularly spaced at the outer wall of the bristle section 33.
In addition, the cross section of the bristle part 13 of the toothpick 1, namely the cross section of the groove section 23 of the body rod 2 coated with the bristle section 33 of the soft rubber layer 3, can be circular as shown in the figure, and can also be any one of square, diamond, ellipse, triangle or other geometric shapes. As long as the diameter of the tooth-like suture meets the use requirement and can smoothly extend into the slit between the teeth.
Fig. 13 is a schematic size view of toothpick 1 in an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 13, the filling part of the cross-shaped shadow is the soft rubber layer 3 coated outside the body rod 2. In a preferred embodiment, the diameter D1 of the leading portion 11 of the toothpick 1 of the present invention is 0.7 mm to facilitate penetration into the crevices between teeth. The length L1 of the connecting portion 12 is 5 mm and the length L2 of the bristle portion 13 is 15 mm, which facilitates the insertion of the following guide portion 11 into the interdental cleaning residual food. The length L3 of the handle portion 14 is 12 mm, the length L4 of the block-shaped handle connected to the handle portion 14 is 15 mm, and the width L5 of the block-shaped handle is 6.5 mm, so that the handle is convenient to hold and control. In addition, the diameter D2 of the end of toothpick 1 connected to the block-shaped handle was 1.3 mm, and the whole toothpick 1 was tapered from the end having diameter D2 to the end having diameter D1. The present embodiment illustrates a possible size design of the toothpick 1 with specific values, which can be adjusted according to actual requirements during actual production and manufacturing.
Referring to fig. 11, the distance L6 between the soft gel bristles 331 and the bristle section 33 may also be set according to actual requirements, for example, L6 is set to 0.8 mm, which is substantially consistent with the height of the teeth, so as to ensure that the soft gel bristles 331 can sufficiently remove the slits between the teeth. Of course, the special-shaped bristles 332 can also be designed according to the size of the soft rubber bristles 331, and the details are not repeated herein.
Fig. 14 is another structural schematic view of a toothpick according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 14, this embodiment "splits" two toothpicks of different thicknesses together by the handle portion 14, with the thinner toothpick on the right side of the handle portion 14 having a leading portion 11 and a bristle portion 13, and the thicker toothpick on the left side of the handle portion 14 having a leading portion 11 'and a bristle portion 13'. The toothpick shown in fig. 14 can be flexibly selected according to the size of tooth gaps, smaller tooth gaps can be cleared by the brush part 13, larger tooth gaps can be cleared by the brush part 13', and more choices are brought to users of the toothpick. Wherein the cross-sectional diameter of the bristle part 13' is, for example, twice the cross-sectional diameter of the bristle part 13, or is specifically set according to actual requirements.
In conclusion, the toothpick of the invention combines the body rod and the soft rubber layer, thereby not only ensuring the strength of the toothpick to meet the use requirement, but also protecting the oral cavity from being stabbed by the soft rubber layer; meanwhile, through the improved design of the shapes of the bristles and the convex teeth on the bristles, the toothpick of the invention integrates the effects of tooth picking, brushing, scraping and the like, can effectively extend into the gaps between the teeth to remove residual food while providing soft and comfortable use experience for users, and realizes oral cleaning.
The foregoing description of specific embodiments of the present invention has been presented. It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above, and that various changes and modifications may be made by one skilled in the art within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit of the invention.
