Abstract
The invention provides a visual editing method and a visual editing device for virtual machine network topology. The method and the device are beneficial to a user to visually observe and understand the configuration information such as the virtual machine network and the like, and carry out configuration operation on the virtual machine network, so that the efficiency of configuring the virtual machine network and operating the virtual machine is improved, and the use experience is greatly improved.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of virtual machine management, in particular to a visual editing method and a visual editing system for virtual machine network topology.
Background
The application of virtual machines is becoming widespread, and network experiments, tests of network programs and protocols and provision of virtualized grid computing environments are possible with the virtual machines. If the virtual machine is not utilized to carry out network experiment, a large amount of manpower and material resources are wasted. If the network experiment is carried out by using simulation software, the simulated network condition is not close to the real condition, and great influence is generated on a tester or an experiment result.
Meanwhile, with the rise of cloud computing enthusiasm, the virtual machine service which is the most common virtual machine service in cloud services is more and more sought by people. The virtual machine has the advantages of high reliability, good isolation and the like. However, in the current various cloud services, when the number of virtual machines is large, the virtual machine information is not displayed visually, the target virtual machine is difficult to search, the topology information of the virtual machine network is difficult to understand, the virtual machine network is inconvenient to configure, and the like.
In the prior art, a method for displaying a virtual machine network topology exists, where the method is based on virtual machine network topology information, and a data structuring method performs structured display on the virtual machine network topology information. The user can carry out corresponding configuration modification on the virtual machine network according to the displayed virtual machine network topology information and the requirement of the user.
However, the method for displaying the topology of the virtual machine network in the prior art cannot visually display the data information of the topology of the virtual machine to be managed to audiences, and a user cannot rapidly and conveniently modify the configuration of the virtual machine network.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to overcome the problems or at least partially solve the problems, the invention provides a visual editing method and device for a virtual machine network topology.
According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine is provided, which includes:
step 1, a second agent converts network topology information of a virtual machine into structured data and sends the structured data to a first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;
and 2, receiving the structural data which is sent by the first agent and contains modification information, analyzing the structural data containing the modification information, and modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine is provided, which includes:
step 1', a first agent receives structured data of the virtual machine network topology information, analyzes the structured data to obtain network topology information in the structured data, and generates a graphical virtual machine network topology map based on the network topology information;
step 2', the first agent receives modification operation on the graphical virtual machine network topological graph, edits the graphical virtual machine network topological graph based on the modification operation, and converts the edited virtual machine network topological graph into structured data; and sending the edited structured data to a second agent for the second agent to analyze the edited structured data and modify the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a visual editing apparatus for a virtual machine network topology, including:
the acquisition module is used for converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data and sending the structured data to the first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;
and the modification module is used for receiving the structural data which is sent by the first agent and contains modification information, analyzing the structural data containing the modification information, and modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a visual editing apparatus for a virtual machine network topology, including:
the generating module is used for receiving the structured data of the virtual machine network topology information, analyzing the structured data to obtain the network topology information in the structured data, and generating a graphical virtual machine network topology map based on the network topology information;
the configuration module is used for receiving modification operation on the graphical virtual machine network topological graph, editing the graphical virtual machine network topological graph based on the modification operation, and converting the edited virtual machine network topological graph into structured data; and sending the edited structured data to a second agent for the second agent to analyze the edited structured data and modify the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
The invention provides a visual editing method and a visual editing device for virtual machine network topology. The method and the device are beneficial to a user to visually observe and understand the configuration information such as the virtual machine network and the like, and carry out configuration operation on the virtual machine network, so that the efficiency of configuring the virtual machine network and operating the virtual machine is improved, and the use experience is greatly improved.

Detailed Description
The following detailed description of embodiments of the present invention is provided in connection with the accompanying drawings and examples. The following examples are intended to illustrate the invention but are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flowchart illustrating a general method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine according to an embodiment of the present invention. In general, the method comprises the following steps:
step 1, a second agent converts network topology information of a virtual machine into structured data and sends the structured data to a first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;
and 2, receiving the structural data which is sent by the first agent and contains modification information, analyzing the structural data containing the modification information, and modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the second agent is disposed on a host of a virtual machine in the virtual machine network, and the first agent is disposed on any host in the virtual machine network.
In another specific embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the virtual machine network topology information in step 1 is obtained through the following steps: the second agent collects virtual machine network topology information using the programming interface of the virtual machine software.
In another specific embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the virtual machine network topology information in step 1 is obtained through the following steps: and the second agent arranged on the host machine of the virtual machine in the virtual machine network collects the topology information of the virtual machine network by using the programming interface of the virtual machine software.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the step of converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data in step 1 further includes: and converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data by using an XML or JSON data format.
In another specific embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the step of modifying configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data in step 2 further includes: and the second agent calls a programming interface of the virtual machine software according to the analyzed data and modifies the configuration information of the corresponding virtual machine in the virtual network.

In another embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the graphical virtual machine network topology further includes:
representing a single virtual machine by using nodes with specific shapes, and representing network connection between the virtual machines by using lines between the nodes;
different information of each virtual machine is represented by nodes with different shapes, colors, animations and interactive effects; different information of network connection is represented by connecting lines with different shapes, colors, animations and interactive effects.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine is provided, where the graphical virtual machine network topology map can be generated in a web page by using a data visualization tool d3. js.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a method for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine is provided. The example method is detailed as follows:
the invention skillfully realizes the visual viewing and editing functions of the virtual machine network topology by respectively arranging the agents on the host machine where the virtual machine is positioned and an arbitrary host machine and mutually interacting the two agents. The method is suitable for various virtual machine software, operating systems and virtual network types, and is simple and easy to use. The method in this embodiment includes a first agent provided on any host and a second agent provided on a host of a virtual machine, and includes the steps of:
the second agent collects network topology information of the virtual machine on the host machine of the virtual machine by using a programming interface of virtual machine software;
the second agent converts the collected network topology information into structured data, and can use XML, JSON and other formats;
the first agent acquires the structured data through network communication by using communication protocols such as HTTP, TCP and the like;
the first generation understands network topology information in the analytics structure;
the first agent generates a graphical virtual machine network topology map in a webpage by means of data visualization tools such as D3.js and the like according to network topology information;
the user interacts and edits the virtual machine network topological graph provided in the first generation, and the interaction and editing comprise left and right mouse click, keyboard input, touch screen operation and the like;
the first agent converts the edited virtual machine network topological graph into structured data, and can use XML, JSON and other formats;
the second agent obtains the structured data through a network by using communication protocols such as HTTP, TCP and the like;
the second generation analyzes the structured data;
and the second agent calls a programming interface of the virtual machine software according to the analyzed data, and modifies the network configuration of the virtual machine to keep the two consistent.
In order to implement the foregoing method, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a visual editing apparatus for a virtual machine network topology, as shown in fig. 3, including a first agent module disposed on any host and a second agent module disposed on the host, where:
the second agent collects network topology information of the virtual machine on the host machine of the virtual machine by using a programming interface of virtual machine software;
the second agent converts the collected network topology information into structured data, and can use XML, JSON and other formats;
the first agent acquires the structured data through network communication by using communication protocols such as HTTP or TCP;
the first generation understands network topology information in the analytics structure;
the first agent generates a graphical virtual machine network topology map in a webpage by means of data visualization tools such as D3.js and the like according to network topology information;
the user interacts and edits the virtual machine network topological graph provided in the first generation, and the interaction and editing comprise left and right mouse click, keyboard input, touch screen operation and the like;
the first agent converts the edited virtual machine network topological graph into structured data, and can use XML, JSON and other formats;
the second agent obtains the structured data through a network by using communication protocols such as HTTP, TCP and the like;
the second generation analyzes the structured data;
and the second agent calls a programming interface of the virtual machine software according to the analyzed data, and modifies the network configuration of the virtual machine to keep the two consistent.
In another embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine includes:
the acquisition module is used for converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data and sending the structured data to the first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;

In another embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the obtaining module is further configured to: and collecting the network topology information of the virtual machine by using a programming interface of the virtual machine software.
In another embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the obtaining module is further configured to: and converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data by using an XML or JSON data format.
In another embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine, where the modification module is further configured to: and calling a programming interface of the virtual machine software according to the analyzed data, and modifying the configuration information of the corresponding virtual machine in the virtual network.
In another embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for visually editing a network topology of a virtual machine includes:
the generating module is used for receiving the structured data of the virtual machine network topology information, analyzing the structured data to obtain the network topology information in the structured data, and generating a graphical virtual machine network topology map based on the network topology information;

Claims (10)
1. A visual editing method for virtual machine network topology is characterized by comprising the following steps:
step 1, a second agent converts network topology information of a virtual machine into structured data and sends the structured data to a first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;
and 2, receiving the structural data which is sent by the first agent and contains modification information, analyzing the structural data containing the modification information, and modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the second agent is disposed on a virtual machine host in the virtual machine network and the first agent is disposed on any host in the virtual machine network.
3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the virtual machine network topology information in step 1 is obtained by: the second agent collects virtual machine network topology information using the programming interface of the virtual machine software.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of converting the virtual machine network topology information into structured data in step 1 further comprises: and converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data by using an XML or JSON data format.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the parsed data in step 2 further comprises: and the second agent calls a programming interface of the virtual machine software according to the analyzed data and modifies the configuration information of the corresponding virtual machine in the virtual network.
6. A visual editing method for virtual machine network topology is characterized by comprising the following steps:
step 1', a first agent receives structured data of the virtual machine network topology information, analyzes the structured data to obtain network topology information in the structured data, and generates a graphical virtual machine network topology map based on the network topology information;
step 2', the first agent receives modification operation on the graphical virtual machine network topological graph, edits the graphical virtual machine network topological graph based on the modification operation, and converts the edited virtual machine network topological graph into structured data; and sending the edited structured data to a second agent for the second agent to analyze the edited structured data and modify the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the graphical virtual machine network topology further comprises:
representing a single virtual machine by using nodes with specific shapes, and representing network connection between the virtual machines by using lines between the nodes;
different information of each virtual machine is represented by nodes with different shapes, colors, animations and interactive effects; different information of network connection is represented by connecting lines with different shapes, colors, animations and interactive effects.
8. The method of claim 6, wherein the graphical virtual machine network topology map can be generated in a web page using a data visualization tool D3. js.
9. A visual editing device for virtual machine network topology is characterized by comprising:
the acquisition module is used for converting the network topology information of the virtual machine into structured data and sending the structured data to the first agent; the first agent graphically displays the virtual machine network topology based on the structured data, and sends a graphical virtual machine network topology graph containing modification information to a second agent in a structured data form;
and the modification module is used for receiving the structural data which is sent by the first agent and contains modification information, analyzing the structural data containing the modification information, and modifying the configuration information of the virtual network according to the analyzed data.
