It is well known that the voltage actually applied to a display Pixel is the difference between the Pixel voltage and the common electrode voltage VCOM. The display luminance varies due to the difference in voltage between the middle region and the edge region, and when the luminance difference reaches a certain value, the human eye feels that so-called flicker is formed, which causes display defects.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENT (S) OF INVENTION
The technical solution in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. The drawings are for illustrative purposes only and are merely schematic representations, not intended to limit the present patent.
The invention provides a method for regulating and controlling the Display brightness of a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), which is used for regulating and controlling the uneven Display brightness of a Display screen, in particular a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) driven by double-side GOA odd-even. Referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, the adjusting method includes:
in step S1, the divided liquid crystal display screen 100 is a middle display area 1 and 2n and an edge display area 2 distributed on both sides of the middle area, where n is an integer greater than or equal to 1.
The division liquid crystal display screen 100 is formed by dividing a middle display area 1 and 2n and edge display areas 2 distributed on both sides of the middle area by displaying the brightness difference between the middle area 1 and the edge display areas 2 on both sides of the display screen.
Further, the middle display area a and the 2n edge display areas B input the same voltage value or different voltage values through signal lines. When the brightness of the display screen does not need to be adjusted, the voltages are input to the signal lines of the middle display region 1 and the 2n edge display regions 2 the same. When the brightness needs to be adjusted, the input voltage of the signal lines of the middle display area 1 and the 2n edge display areas 2 is the voltage confirmed by the method.
Step S2, outputting the display data of the frame currently displayed in the middle display area and the 2n edge display areas to the display screen driving unit for detecting the gray scale of the display screen. The method mainly comprises the steps of obtaining gray scale distribution of all areas of a display picture; for example, the gray scale distribution of RGB pixels of one pixel unit is consistent with the gray scale distribution of pixels of the whole area. Specifically, the display screen mainboard transmits the image display data to the display screen driving chip, and the display image detection module of the display screen driving chip detects the gray scale distribution of the display image data.
In step S3, gray scale distribution calculation is performed according to the detected gray scale data of each region of the display screen. Specifically, the gray scale value of the pixel of each region is obtained in this step. Actually, the picture content of each region is different, and the gray scales of the pixels in the region are different, and this step will count the gray scale distribution of each partition on the display screen.
In step S4, the overall gray level of each region is determined according to the detected gray level distribution of each region, and the common voltage of each region is set according to the overall gray level of each region. The deflection angle of the liquid crystal is related to the display gray scale. The final conclusion is: the optimum voltage value varies with the gray scale. Therefore, the optimal voltage value needs to be determined by detecting the gray distribution of the picture to be displayed; for example, if the gray scale distribution of the edge display region 2 in fig. 2 is the region 1 in fig. 4, it is indicated that most of the sub-pixels at the edge of the display screen of the picture are biased to the gray scale of 0, and at this time, the pixel value a is calculated, so that the final gray scale of the region can be defined as the gray scale of a. Setting the common voltage of each region according to the overall gray scale of each region refers to selecting the optimal voltage value of the common voltages corresponding to the gray scale corresponding to the region. For example, if the final gray scale of the region is defined as the gray scale a in this step, the optimal voltage value corresponding to the gray scale a is defined as the optimal voltage of the region;
in step S5, the common voltage determined by the region is applied to each region of the liquid crystal display panel 100.
In step S6, the detecting section detects the next frame.
The method for regulating and controlling the brightness of the liquid crystal display successfully solves the phenomenon of display flicker caused by different driving voltages in the LCD framework with double-side GOA odd-even driving, and improves the display quality of the LCD.
Referring to fig. 5, the present invention further provides a liquid crystal display brightness control device, which includes a driving device 10, a display frame detecting module 12, a gray scale calculating module 14, and a gray scale setting module 16. In summary, the display frame detection module 12, the gray level calculation module 14 and the gray level setting module 16 are disposed in the display screen driving chip.
The driving device 10 is configured to divide and output display data of a frame currently displayed in the middle display area and the 2n edge display areas to a display screen driving chip. The driving device 10 is disposed on the display main board, and includes a data module for transmitting display data, a detection unit for detecting a brightness difference between the middle display area and the two side display areas, and a control module for controlling the display image detection module, the gray scale calculation module, and the gray scale setting module.
The display image detection module 12 performs display image gray scale detection on display data input to the display screen driving chip.
The gray scale calculation module 14 performs gray scale distribution calculation according to the detected gray scale data of each region of the display frame.
The gray level setting module 16 determines the overall gray level of each region according to the detected gray level distribution of each region, and sets the common voltage of each region according to the overall gray level of each region.
Applying the common voltage determined by the region to each region through the driving device; then go back to the detection section to detect the next frame.
The invention also provides a liquid crystal display which comprises the liquid crystal display brightness regulating and controlling device and is used for regulating and controlling the brightness uniformity of the display picture of the liquid crystal display.
While the foregoing is directed to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
