Background
The KVM OVER IP is also called IP KVM, namely a KVM switcher with remote management function, wherein KVM is an abbreviation of Keyboard, display and Mouse (Keyboard, Video and Mouse), namely groups of Keyboard, display and Mouse, and controls a plurality of computers.
In a server product, because the server is used in different scenes, in some cases, the server is required to be operated remotely without connecting a display locally, which requires that a display card on a server motherboard still outputs when the display is not connected locally, otherwise, a remote KVM OVER IP cannot be displayed when the display is not connected locally, currently, many servers use a BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) as a display card to execute a server remote Management Controller, but some servers need to be onboard with an independent display card and externally connected with an AD chip because of high requirements on display performance, so that local display can be realized, and a KVM OVER IP function can be realized after the AD chip is connected to the BMC chip, but because a VGA display channel of the independent display card usually needs to detect whether the VGA display is connected to determine whether to output a VGA signal, when the local is not connected with the VGA display, the VGA signal is not output, so that the KVM OVER IP display cannot be realized remotely.

In order to solve the problems of the prior art, the invention provides a system and a method for realizing KVM OVER IP by servers without displays, which can realize that the functions of KVMOVER IP can be still completed when a local display is not connected in an independent display card server mainboard.
The technical scheme adopted by the invention is as follows:
A system for realizing KVM OVER IP by a server without a display comprises a server mainboard, wherein the server mainboard side is connected with the display, the side is connected with a remote PC through a KVM switch with a remote management function, a display card on the server mainboard is respectively connected with a resistance matching network through a VGA signal switch and is connected with an EEPROM chip through an I2C bus switch, the EEPROM chip stores EDID information of the display, the display card is connected with a physical layer through an AD chip and a BMC chip, and the physical layer is connected with the KVM switch.
The display card is AMD embedded DX11 display card Raedeon E6460.
The EEPROM chip is AT24C 02.
A method for realizing KVM OVER IP without display of servers includes designing VGA signal switches on a server mainboard, designing EEPROM chips for storing EDID information of the displays, selecting ground signals in VGA display interfaces as switching judgment signals, switching the switching signals on the mainboard to be high level when the displays are not connected, switching an I2C bus for reading the EDID information to the EEPROM on the mainboard for storing the EDID information, switching the VGA signals to a resistance matching network on the mainboard simultaneously, and simulating the situation of connecting the VGA displays.
When the display is connected, the VGA and I2C bus switch is closed, the display card reads the information of the display to normally realize VGA display, and the remote end can also normally realize KVM OVER IP function at the moment.
The technical scheme provided by the invention has the beneficial effects that:
the server mainboard adopting the independent display card can normally work no matter whether the server mainboard is connected with a display or not through a hardware circuit design, so that the application range of the KVM OVER IP function is expanded, and convenience is brought to users.

The server display-free KVM IP system comprises a server mainboard, wherein the server mainboard side is connected with a display, the side is connected with a remote PC through a KVM switch with a remote management function, a display card on the server mainboard is respectively connected with a resistance matching network through a VGA signal switch and is connected with an EEPROM chip through an I2C bus switch, the EEPROM chip stores EDID information of the display, the display card is connected with a physical layer through an AD chip and a BMC chip, and the physical layer is connected with the KVM switch.
As shown in fig. 2, a server motherboard of an onboard E6460 graphics card is adopted, in order to realize the remote KVM OVER IP function under the condition that the server is not connected with the display, an AT24C02 EEPROM chip is designed on the motherboard, pieces of basic display EDID configuration information are stored inside the motherboard, and a VGA switching circuit is designed AT the same time, when the display is not connected, the switching circuit is switched to an AT24C02 and VGA impedance matching circuit for simulating the condition of connecting the display, when the display is connected, the circuit is switched to the display, the graphics card reads the configuration information of the display, thereby realizing the remote KVM OVER IP function no matter whether the display is connected locally or not.
