Detailed Description
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Referring to fig. 1 in combination with fig. 2 to 4, a home appliance (only a portion of which is shown) includes: a housing 1, the housing 1 comprising a wall 10, the wall 10 having a first side a and a second side B; a reinforcement 2, the reinforcement 2 comprising a reinforcement portion 20 connected to the first side a; a connected member 3 connected to the second side B and fixed to the reinforcing portion 20; and the wall 10 has a through hole 11 penetrating the wall 10, the reinforcement 20 being connected to the first side a from the second side B through the through hole 11.
The home appliance refers to any appliance that can be used in housekeeping. Such an appliance may be a large appliance, such as a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a dishwasher, a cooker or an oven, a refrigerator such as a refrigerator or freezer, or an air conditioning unit.
In this embodiment, the housing 1 includes a door 14, the door 14 includes a door frame 15, and the wall 10 is a portion of the door frame 15. The door frame 15 may include a wall 10 and a second wall 16 opposite the wall. The slot 150 between the wall 10 and the front wall 16 provides a good solution to the problem of the inconvenience of mounting the reinforcement on the side of the slot 150. Thus, the first side a of the wall 10 may be a space facing the slot 150, a void or enclosed space or other space where it is inconvenient to install a stiffener from one side of the slot 150. The present invention is also particularly suitable for use in applications where the first side of the wall 10 is adjacent to a floor or wall surface, etc., and is not easily attached to the first side of the wall 10.
The attached member 3 may be a door lock mechanism fixed to the door 14. It will be appreciated that the invention is also applicable to other attached members 3, for example, the attached members may be other attachments such as rails or the like which are fixed to the housing.
Since the reinforcing part 20 may be connected to the first side a by extending from the second side B to the first side a through the through hole 11, the range of use of the reinforcing member 2 may be enlarged. In this way, it is possible to conveniently attach the stiffener 2 to the first side a of the wall 10, even if the first side a of the wall 10 faces the other walls in a short distance.
The invention is thus particularly applicable where the first side a of the wall 10 faces other walls in close proximity, but it will be appreciated that the invention may be applied in other applications.
Wherein the connected piece 3, the wall 10 and the reinforcement 20 are provided with mutually aligned mounting holes 17. A connector, such as a screw, may be threaded through the mounting hole 17 and into threaded engagement with a mounting hole located on the reinforcement portion 20. The through hole 11 may be located at one side of the mounting hole 17 of the wall 10.
In this embodiment, two stiffeners 2 are attached to the wall 10, and the wall 10 is provided with two through holes 11 for mounting the respective stiffeners 2. The attached member 3 is fixed to the two reinforcing members 2 by screws. It will be appreciated that this is by way of example only and that modifications may be made to suit the particular application, for example different numbers of reinforcing members or mounting holes in the reinforcing portion may be provided as required.
Referring to fig. 4 to 6, the reinforcing member 2 includes an operation portion 21, and the reinforcing member 2 can be preassembled by operating the operation portion 21, which is convenient to operate. When the reinforcement part 20 is connected to the first side a, the operation part 21 is connected to the second side B. On the one hand, the handling portion 21 at the second side B provides the handling convenience of the reinforcement 20 connected to the first side a of the wall 10, while at the same time it facilitates the positioning and/or fixing of the reinforcement 2 to the wall 10, since the handling portion 21 is connected to the second side B of the wall 10. Preferably, the operating portion 21 closes at least a part of the through hole 11.
The attached member 3 may be lapped on the outer surface 22 of the operation portion 21. On the one hand, when the attached member 3 is fixed to the reinforcing member 20, since the operating portion 21 is pressed by the attached member 3, the reinforcing member 2 can be prevented from being turned over. On the other hand, the following is expected by appropriate setting: the operation portion 21 and the through hole 11 are covered by the connecting member 3 to prevent the operation portion 21 and the through hole 11 from being exposed, so that the outer surface 12 of the wall 10 on the second side B can be neater and the product can be more beautiful.
The outer surface 22 of the operating portion 21 may not exceed the surface 12 of the second side B of the wall 10. For example, the outer surface 22 of the operating portion 21 is flush with the surface 12 of the wall 10, or as a modification, said outer surface of the operating portion is lower than said surface of the wall.
The outer surface 22 of the operating portion 21 does not protrude beyond the surface 12 of the wall 10, and the surface 12 of the wall 10 on the second side B is flat.
The reinforcement 2 further comprises a connecting portion 23 connecting the operating portion 21 and the reinforcing portion 20, the connecting portion 23 being at least partially located within the through hole 11. At this time, one end of the connecting portion 23 on the first side a is connected to the reinforcing portion 20, the other end on the second side B is connected to the operation portion 21, and the connecting portion 23 is partially or entirely located in the through hole 11. This facilitates assembly of the stiffener 2 to the wall 10. In a preferred embodiment, the upper and lower ends of the connecting portion 23 may be connected to the operating portion 21 and the reinforcing portion 20, respectively.
In the present embodiment, the reinforcing portion 20 has a plate shape, and can form a large contact area with the wall 10 on the first side a, so that the connection is stable. The operation portion 21 is parallel to the reinforcement portion 20, and the operation portion 21 is also plate-shaped for easy grasping. This proves in practice to be advantageous for extending the reinforcement 2 towards the second side B and for connecting it to the second side B, which on the other hand also facilitates the positioning/fixing of the reinforcement 2 to the wall 10.
The operating portion 21 and the reinforcing portion 20 have a spacing between their projections in a direction perpendicular to the wall 10. In this way, the operating portion 21 and the reinforcing portion 20 do not overlap, and it is expected that a simple and easily assembled reinforcing member is obtained.
The plate-shaped reinforcement 2 may be substantially Z-shaped, and the reinforcing portion 20 and the operating portion 21 are located on both sides of the connecting portion 23 in the horizontal direction. At this time, the operation portion 21 is grasped to operate the reinforcement member 2 so that the reinforcement portion 20 protrudes into the first side a. As a modification, it is also possible to: the reinforcing part and the operating part are positioned on the same side of the connecting part in the horizontal direction and are connected to the upper end and the lower end of the connecting part.
Further, the second side B of the wall 10 has a recess 13 communicating with the through hole 11, the operating portion 21 being at least partially located in the recess 13, i.e. the operating portion 21 is partially or fully accommodated in the recess 13. This makes it possible to reduce the extent to which the operating portion 21 protrudes from the second side B and even to avoid the operating portion 21 protruding from the outer surface 12 of the wall 10, for example the depth of the recess 13 may be set to be comparable to the thickness of the operating portion 21 so that the operating portion 21 is flush with the surface 12 of the second side B of the wall.
The outer contour of the operating portion 21 can be arranged to correspond substantially to the recess 13 and to be blocked in the recess 13 in a form-fitting manner, so that the fixing of the reinforcement 2 to the wall 10 is facilitated. The operation portion 21 has a plate shape, and the plate surface thereof can be in surface contact with the bottom surface 131 of the recess 13, which contributes to the stability of the reinforcement 2.
Referring to fig. 6, the width w1 of the dimple 13 is greater than the width w2 of the through hole 11, and the dimple 13 has sidewalls 130 located at both sides of the through hole 11 and connecting the wall of the through hole 11. Accordingly, referring to fig. 4 and 5 in combination, the operation portion 21 is wider than the connection portion 23 to form a stepped portion 24 between the operation portion 21 and the connection portion 23. After the stiffener 2 is mounted to the wall 10, the step 24 abuts against the side wall 130, thereby facilitating the positioning of the stiffener 2 on the wall 10. As described above, the operation portion 21 closes at least a part of the through hole 11. The side of the connection 23 remote from the recess 13 is in contact with the side wall of the through hole 11, which not only facilitates the fixing of the reinforcement 2 to the wall 10, but also to some extent blocks the communication between the inside and the outside of the wall 10.
It should be understood that the reinforcement according to embodiments of the present invention may also be used on other components of the household appliance.
Although the present invention is disclosed above, the present invention is not limited thereto. Various changes and modifications may be effected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
