Description

Domain name query method and device
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of data query, in particular to a domain name query method and a domain name query device.
Background
The domain name registrar belongs to the operating and management authority of the top-level domain names in the world, and basically each top-level domain name, such as ". com" or ". cn", has a separate domain name registrar for management. Domain name registrars belong to a business entity or organization, which may be delegated by The Internet name and number assignment authority (The Internet Corporation for assigned names and Numbers, ICANN) or by The domain name registry of national top-level domain names, can manage Internet domain names in a specified domain name registry database, and provide such services to users.
The domain name registration has a corresponding validity time. When the effective time of a domain name registration is about to reach, but a registrar does not apply to the registry to prolong the effective time of the domain name registration, the registry automatically prolongs the effective time of the domain name registration, and increases the effective time of the domain name registration by a temporary time, which is equivalent to temporarily prolonging the effective time of the domain name registration. However, the increased temporary time is not a real extension of the validity time and may later be undone by the registry at the discretion of the registrar managing the domain name. The extended temporary time being cancelled results in the validity time of this domain name registration actually having expired at the time of cancellation.
In the current domain name query system, the obtained related query information is basically provided by each registry, and the related query information includes the effective time of domain name registration. For the registrar, if the validity time of a domain name registration is temporarily increased as described above, the registrar will recognize the temporarily increased temporary time as the actual validity time of the domain name registration before deciding, and will return the temporarily increased temporary time as the query result to the inquirer when receiving the query request for the domain name.
That is, when the effective time of the domain name to be queried is about to reach, but the registrar has not yet applied to the registrar to extend the effective time of the domain name registration, the effective time of the domain name registration is actually the effective time extended by the temporary time from the query result returned by the registrar corresponding to the domain name. However, it is possible that the registrar of the domain name does not actually want to extend the validity time of the domain name registration, i.e., the validity time of the domain name registration has actually expired. However, as demonstrated on the query results, the validity time for the domain name registration is unexpired. It can be seen that the effective time of domain name registration obtained by querying is actually inaccurate, and the actual real state of the effective time of domain name registration cannot be reflected.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some embodiments, but not all embodiments, of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
A domain lease/registration has a corresponding validity time, which may be the lease/registration time or lease/registration deadline for the domain by a lease/registrar (which may be a user, enterprise, etc.). When the lease/lease time of a domain name is about to expire, the lease/registrar can propose to the registrar responsible for managing the domain name to extend the lease/registration time for the domain name if the lease/registrar wants to continue to lease/register the domain name, and can propose to the registrar not to continue to lease/register the domain name if the lease/registrar does not want to continue to lease the domain name. The registrar may decide whether to continue leasing/registering the domain name with the registry based on the needs of the leasing/registrar.
For the registry, the domain name is managed by the registrar, and if the lease term of the domain name is about to expire but no uncontrollable reason that the registrar proposes to renew the lease for the domain name is received, the registry can automatically extend the lease time of the domain name and allocate the lease fee for the automatically extended domain name from the registrar in order to prevent the registrar from missing or forgetting to process the uncontrollable reason. However, this is only a temporary extended lease during which the registrar does not renew the domain name if it is proposed to the registry or it is still not proposed to the registry. The registrar will, after a period of time, restore the lease time for this domain to the lease time before the automatic extension and return the charges drawn from the registrar. After the lease time is restored, the lease time of the domain name is actually exceeded, and the domain name is expired, so that the domain name is in a state of being rentable by anyone, and the domain name can be continuously rented by other renters.
For the current domain name query system, since generally, the registrar does not provide a data query interface to the outside, the domain name query system basically obtains the data to be queried, such as the lease time of the domain name, from the registry. By means of the query, the querying party can know whether the queried domain name can be leased or not, or in case of already being leased, when the lease expires, etc.
As mentioned above, whether a domain name is leased continuously or not is generally known by the registrar from the leaser, and then the registrar notifies the registrar of a lease renewal decision (continuous lease) or an expiration decision (no longer extension of lease), and since the registrar manages a large number of domain names, it is often impossible to notify the registrar of the lease decision to the registrar in a timely manner. For example, an original tenant of a domain name is no longer rented, and when the lease time of the original tenant for the domain name expires, the registrar may postpone the lease time of the domain name, for example, by one year. The registrar may not notify the registry of the termination decision that the domain is no longer renewed after a registration extension for one month. In the month from the beginning of the extension of the registrar to the end of the decision of the registrar, if the domain name is queried, the query result shows that the lease time for the domain name is the extended time of the registrar, i.e., there is still nearly twelve months before expiration. However, in practice, the lease for this domain name has expired.
That is, the validity time of the domain name obtained by the query is actually inaccurate, and there may be a case where the validity time of the domain name is actually expired, but the validity time shown on the query result is unexpired. The effective time of domain name lease in the query result cannot reflect the real lease state of the queried domain name, the query data without credibility cannot provide query basis for the querier, and the user experience is reduced.
The inventor has found that while automatically extending the lease time of a domain name that will expire, the registrar provides a shorter time window, which is equivalent to a grace period (also called domain name renewal period) for the leaser of the domain name to decide whether to continue to lease the domain name, the grace period is shorter than the automatically extended temporary time, the grace period is generally calculated from the expiration of the validity time of the domain name registration, for example, the grace period is one month, the validity time of the domain name registration expires 1 month and 1 day, the grace period is entered from the expiration time of the domain name registration 1 month and the grace period ends one month later, for example, 2 month and 1 day. The renewal or termination decision may be provided to the registry by the registrar associated with the tenant, or may be provided by the tenant to the registry, which may determine to cancel the automatically extended interim time for the domain name if the registry does not receive a renewal decision for the domain name within the grace period. That is, a leaser or registrar may have the right to decide whether to continue to lease or register a domain name for a grace period of the domain name, and the validity time of the domain name registration may be changed at any time.
For the grace period, the inventor finds, through a large number of experiments, that a main reason that the expiration time (i.e., the valid time in the text) of domain registration is unreliable and difficult to have a reference value in domain name query is the grace period, and if the time state of the queried domain name is exactly in the grace period, it cannot be determined whether the expiration time of the queried domain name is really valid or not in the query result. However, once the time status of the queried domain name leaves the grace period, the expiration time of the queried domain name in the query result can substantially accurately reflect the actual expiration time of the queried domain name.
According to the discovery of the inventor, the embodiment of the invention provides a domain name query method and a domain name query device, when querying a target domain name from a registry of the target domain name, the effective time of the target domain name registration is obtained from the registry, an untrusted time range is determined by comprehensively considering a first deferral time and a temporary time obtained from the registry, when a query result aiming at the target domain name is returned, whether the effective time of the target domain name is authentic or not is identified by carrying different identifications in the query result according to whether the remaining time of the target domain name registration falls into the untrusted time range, and the accurate effective time capable of reflecting the real state of the domain name and the effective time possibly incapable of accurately reflecting the real state of the domain name can be distinguished in the query result according to the identifications of the first identification and the second identification, the credibility of the effective time of domain name registration is determined, and the effectiveness of domain name query is improved.
The domain name query method provided by the embodiment of the invention mainly improves the processing logic of a domain name search engine. That is, the execution subject of the present invention may be a domain name search engine, and may be deployed on a server side, a local computer or a mobile terminal with a networking function, and the like.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for querying a domain name according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method includes:
s101: a query request for a target domain name is received.
For example, this query request may be initiated by the querying party on a query interface provided by the query engine. The inquiring party may be an individual, a business, etc.
S102: and inquiring the target domain name from a registry corresponding to the target domain name, and acquiring the effective time of the target domain name registration from the registry.
For example, the target domain name may be analyzed for suffixes such as ". com", ". cn", etc., thereby specifying the registry responsible for managing the target domain name.
S103: and determining an untrusted time range according to a first deferral time of the registry and a temporary time prolonged by the registry when the effective time of domain name registration is automatically prolonged, wherein the first deferral time is a time interval provided by the registry and used for determining whether the temporary time is prolonged or not after the effective time of domain name registration is automatically prolonged.
For example, the first deferral time and the temporary time may be obtained from the registry in advance, or may be obtained through step S102, that is, in some cases, in the process of obtaining the query data of the target domain name from the registry, in addition to the valid time for requesting the registry to obtain the registration of the target domain name, the first deferral time and the temporary time may also be requested to be obtained from the registry.
The first deferral time may be the aforementioned grace time provided by the registry for determining a domain name deferral. The first deferral time and the temporary time are set by the registries, the first deferral time and the temporary time set by each registry may be different, and the starting time point of the first deferral time may be when the valid time of a domain name registration expires. For example, the first suspension time set by the registry managing ". com" is 45 days, that is, it can be determined whether to continue renting domain names within 45 days after the registration validity time of ". com" domain names has expired. The temporary time for the automatic extension of the "com" domain name is one year. The first deferral time set by the registry managing the ". uk" is 29 days, that is, it can be determined whether to continue leasing the domain name within 29 days after the registration validity time of the ". uk" domain name has expired. The temporary time for auto-extension for the ". uk" domain name is one year. If a tenant or registrar for a domain wishes to continue to lease the domain during a first deferral time for the domain, a confirmation message may be sent to the registry to confirm receipt of a temporary time temporarily extended by the time the registry is active for the domain. If the leaser or registrant of the domain name does not wish to continue to lease the domain name, a message for determining not to continue leasing may be sent to the registry, or no message may be sent to the registry, so that the registry may cancel the temporary time extended by the effective time for registering the domain name when receiving the message for determining not to continue leasing, or after the first suspension time is over.
Through the first suspension time and the temporary time, an untrusted time range can be determined, and whether the valid time of the queried domain name registration is trusted or not is identified through the untrusted time range.
The remaining time may be understood as the remaining time of the validity time of the target domain name registration with respect to the query time of the received query request.
Optionally, an embodiment of the present invention provides a manner of determining an untrusted time range according to a first deferral time and a temporary time, where an upper limit of the untrusted time range is the temporary time, and a lower limit of the untrusted time range is a difference between the temporary time and the first deferral time.
Taking the first deferral time as 45 days and the temporary time as 365 days (one year) as an example, the upper limit value of the untrusted time range is 365 days, and the lower limit value is 365-45-320 days.
S104: and judging whether the remaining time falls into the untrusted time range or not, wherein the remaining time is obtained through the effective time of the target domain name registration and the time of receiving the query request. If the remaining time falls within the untrusted time range, step S105 is performed, and if the remaining time does not fall within the untrusted time range, step S106 is performed.
S105: and carrying a first identifier in a query result returned aiming at the query request, wherein the first identifier is used for identifying that the effective time of the target domain name registration in the query result is not credible.
S106: and carrying a second identifier in a query result returned aiming at the query request, wherein the second identifier is used for identifying the credible effective time of the target domain name registration in the query result. The remaining time may be a time between the time of receiving the query request and the valid time of the target domain name registration. For example, if the time of receiving the query request for the domain name a is 2015, 12 months and 9 days, and the effective time of obtaining the domain name a through the query is 2016, 12 months and 1 days, the remaining time corresponding to the domain name a may be between 2015, 12 months and 9 days and 2016, 12 months and 1 days, specifically 357 days. If the time of receiving the query request for the domain name b is 2015, 12 months and 9 days, and the effective time of obtaining the domain name b through the query is 2016 years, 10 months and 9 days, the remaining time corresponding to the domain name b may be the time between 2015, 12 months and 9 days to 2016 years, 10 months and 9 days, specifically 304 days.
When the time status of the target domain name is in the time interval of the first deferral time, the tenant or registrar of the target domain name may determine at any time whether to continue to lease the target domain name or no longer lease the target domain name, that is, when the time status of the target domain name is in the time interval of the first deferral time, the valid time of the target domain name registration may be changed at any time (for example, in a case where the automatically extended temporary time is cancelled). Therefore, if the remaining time falls within the untrusted time range, the valid time of the target domain name registration obtained by querying is obviously not able to determine whether the valid time is the real valid time, i.e., untrusted. If the remaining time does not fall within the untrusted time range, it may be understood that the time status of the target domain name has not entered the time interval of the first deferral time, or has left the time interval of the first deferral time, in this case, the valid time of the target domain name registration is not automatically extended by the registration authority, so there is no possibility that the valid time is shortened (the temporary time is cancelled), and the valid time of the target domain name registration obtained through the query may be determined to be the true valid time, that is, the trusted time.
If the untrusted time interval is specifically 320 days to 365 days, the remaining time corresponding to the domain name a falls into the untrusted time interval, and the remaining time corresponding to the domain name b does not fall into the untrusted time interval.
For the query request of the domain name a, it can be determined that the returned query result carries a first identifier, and the effective time of the domain name a in the query result is not credible and does not have a basis for reference by identifying the query party through the first identifier.
For the query request of the domain name b, it can be determined that the returned query result carries a second identifier, and the effective time of the domain name b in the query result is credible and has a basis for reference by identifying the querying party through the second identifier.
It can be seen that when querying a registry of target domain names for the target domain names, the effective time for registration of the target domain names is obtained from the registry, determining an untrusted time range by comprehensively considering a first suspension time and a temporary time obtained from the registry, upon returning a query result for the target domain name, depending on whether the remaining time of the target domain name falls within the untrusted time range, different identifications are carried in the query result to identify whether the effective time of the target domain name is credible or not, according to the first identifier and the second identifier, the accurate effective time capable of reflecting the real registration state of the domain name can be distinguished in the query result, and the effective time which can not accurately reflect the real state of the domain name registration is distinguished, the credibility of the effective time of the domain name registration is determined, and the effectiveness of domain name inquiry is improved.
The inventor has also found that some registries provide a grace period (i.e. the first suspension time) in addition to the automatic deferral, and also provide a redemption period after the grace period expires, in which the registries allow the original leaser (which may be a user, a business, a registrar, etc.) of a domain name that has exceeded the grace period to redeem the domain name, thereby regaining the right to rent the domain name, in which the temporary time added by the automatic deferral is not cancelled, and the starting time point of the redemption period may be the ending time point of the grace period.
The inventor finds through a large amount of experiments that the redemption period can be one of the reasons for the unreliable expiration time of the domain name and the difficulty in having the reference value. That is, if the redemption period is provided by the registry, then a domain name may or may not be redeemed by the original tenant during the redemption period, thereby creating uncertainty. If the time status of the queried domain name is just within the redemption period, it cannot be determined whether the expiration time of the queried domain name is really valid in the query result. However, once the time status of the queried domain name leaves the redemption period, the expiration time of the queried domain name can substantially accurately reflect the actual expiration time of the queried domain name in the query result.
On the basis of the embodiment corresponding to fig. 1, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method of querying a domain name according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method includes:
s201: a query request for a target domain name is received.
S202: and inquiring the target domain name from a registry corresponding to the target domain name, and acquiring the effective time of the target domain name registration from the registry.
S202 a: and acquiring second delay time of the registration bureau, wherein the second delay time is a time interval for delaying cancellation of the temporary time provided by the registration bureau when the registration bureau does not receive the extension determining message within the first delay time.
For example, the second deferral time may be obtained from the registry in advance, or may be obtained through S202, that is, in the process of obtaining the query data of the target domain name from the registry, in addition to the effective time for requesting the registry to obtain the registration of the target domain name, the second deferral time may also be requested to obtain the second deferral time from the registry.
The second delay time may be the aforementioned redemption deadline provided by the registry, and the start time point of the second delay time may be the end time point of the first delay time. The second deferral time is set by the registries, and the second deferral time set by each registry may be different. For example, the second deferral time set by the registry managing the ". com" is 30 days, that is, whether to redeem the domain name can be determined within 30 days after the expiration of the first deferral time for the ". com" domain name. The second deferral time set by the registry managing the ". hk" is 60 days, that is, it can be determined whether to redeem the domain name within 60 days after the expiration of the first deferral time. It should be noted that not all registries provide the second deferral time (or redemption deadline). During the second deferral time, the registry will defer canceling the extended interim time.
When the time status of the target domain name is in the time interval of the second deferral time, the tenant or registrant of the target domain name can determine at any time whether to redeem the target domain name or not to redeem the target domain name any more, that is, when the target domain name is in the time interval of the second deferral time, the validity time of the target domain name registration can be changed at any time (for example, in the case that an automatically extended temporary time is cancelled).
S203: and determining an untrusted time range according to the first delay time and the second delay time of the registry and the temporary time prolonged by the registry for automatically prolonging the domain name.
For example, when the second deferral time is obtained, an untrusted time range may be determined according to the first deferral time, the second deferral time, and the temporary time, and whether the queried domain name registration validity time is trusted is identified according to the untrusted time range.
Optionally, an embodiment of the present invention provides a manner of determining an untrusted time range according to a first deferral time, a second deferral time, and a temporary time, where an upper limit of the untrusted time range is the temporary time, and a lower limit of the untrusted time range is a difference between the temporary time and the first deferral time subtracted from the second deferral time.
Taking the first deferral time as 45 days, the second deferral time as 30 days, and the temporary time as 365 days (one year) as an example, the upper limit value of the untrusted time range is 365 days, and the lower limit value is 365-45-30 days, which is 290 days.
It should be noted that, the embodiment of the present invention further provides an additional third identifier, which is used for identifying a time interval when the target domain name is in the second deferral time.
Optionally, the untrusted time range further includes a deferral sub-range, an upper limit of the deferral sub-range is a difference value obtained by subtracting the first deferral time from the temporary time, and a lower limit of the deferral sub-range is a difference value obtained by subtracting the first deferral time from the temporary time from the second deferral time.
That is, a sub-time range is also divided within the untrusted time range: a deferral sub-range, if the remaining time of the target domain name falls within the untrusted time range and also falls within the deferral sub-range, it may be determined that the target domain name is currently within the time interval of the second deferral time (or within the redemption deadline).
Taking the first deferral time as 45 days, the second deferral time as 30 days, and the temporary time as 365 days as an example, the upper limit value of the deferral sub-range is 365-45-320 days, and the lower limit value thereof is 365-45-30-290 days.
S204: and judging whether the remaining time falls into the untrusted time range or not, wherein the remaining time is obtained through the effective time of the target domain name registration and the time of receiving the query request. If the remaining time falls within the untrusted time range, executing S205, if the remaining time does not fall within the untrusted time range, executing S206, if the remaining time falls within the suspension sub-range, not executing S205, and executing S207.
S205: and carrying a first identifier in a query result returned aiming at the query request.
S206: and carrying a second identifier in a query result returned aiming at the query request.
S207: and carrying a first identifier and a third identifier in a query result returned aiming at the query request, wherein the third identifier is used for identifying a time interval of the target domain name in the second deferral time in the query result.
It should be noted that the difference between the conditions of S205 and S207 is explicitly triggered. The remaining time falls within the deferral sub-range and actually also falls within the untrusted time range. So for the sake of differentiation, it may be understood that S205 is performed when the remaining time falls within the untrusted time range but does not fall within the suspension sub-interval.
If S207 is executed, when obtaining the query result, the querying party recognizes that the valid time of the target domain name registration is not authentic through the identification effect of the first identifier, and recognizes that the target domain name is in the time interval of the second deferral time (is in the redemption deadline) through the identification effect of the third identifier.
Therefore, on the basis of the untrusted identification, the third identification is used for further determining the stage of the target domain name in the untrusted time interval, more detailed effective content is provided, and user experience is improved.
