Description

Streaming media service system
Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of digital streaming media, in particular to a streaming media service system.
Background
With the basic completion of the digital translation work of the cable television and the deepening of the bidirectional network change work of the cable television network, the cable television network is expanded from a unidirectional transmission network to a comprehensive service network which can bear emerging service types such as IP data service, interactive video service and the like, and wide television users can also select distinctive, more personal preference-conforming and more deep information through a remote controller and various other control devices in hands.
Meanwhile, with the advance of the national strategy of convergence of three networks, cable television operators have started to develop various services originally subject to operation control, and have started to develop into full-service and full-media operators, and the operation mode of the cable television operators is also changed from a shelf operation mode taking the service as the center into a personalized customization mode taking customers as the center. With the continuous change of user requirements in recent years, the service types of the services of the cable television operators are continuously expanding the service layouts of the cable television operators to meet the increasing requirements of users from personal video recorders and time-shifted television services which are originally provided for enabling users to get rid of the inconvenience of the watching time of live television services to multi-screen interactive services which are provided for meeting the requirements of users for watching television anytime and anywhere, to social television services which are recently provided and combined with social networks.
However, when an operator develops a new service, the operator is often constrained by the performance of the set-top box, the technical system closure, and the like, which brings great trouble to the development of the operator, and the details are as follows:
1. backward transmission technique
With the high-speed development of the internet, new services and new technologies are continuously emerging on the internet, communication interfaces are gradually unified into IP interfaces, hardware transmission is gradually converged into RJ45, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 3/4G and the like, and the current network architecture of radio and television still is a network structure mainly based on HFC, especially a home network is mostly a copper-axis cable, and the interface form is already marginalized.
2. Poor operation experience of portal and business
The portal and the service displayed based on the set-top box browser are static pages, the display effect is rigid, the operation response is slow, and when the complexity of the page is higher, the page loading and presenting speed is slower.
3. The value added service development has sealing performance
The value added service on the set-top box must be developed based on a middleware browser, so that the value added service has a larger constraint condition in the development process technically, an agreement with a middleware manufacturer is also required in business, the control of content by an operator is weak due to the technical and business constraints, and most of the value added services are developed and provided by the middleware manufacturer at present.
4. The introduction difficulty of high-quality internet service is high
The requirement of high-quality internet application on the CPU is high, the development specification of JS/WEB of the set-top box middleware is not met, and direct access cannot be realized. The business is required to be customized and developed, so that the quality is reduced, the period is relatively long, the customization and development process of any application involves a large amount of investment of manpower and material resources of an operator, the business must be evaluated in advance to determine whether the business has enough operation value, and the decision cost of the operator is increased accordingly.
5. The set top box has long upgrading period and high difficulty
If the operator expects the capacity of the set-top box middleware to bear the value-added service to be improved, the box in the current network needs to be upgraded. However, due to the period and difficulty of upgrading, the upgrading frequency is generally limited to once a half year or even once a year, so that the capacity of the set-top box can never catch up with the development speed of the value-added service due to the low-frequency upgrading.
In summary, conventional set-top box configurations and network transmission techniques have been inadequate to address the ever-increasing demands of users. With the continuous popularization of intelligent terminals, the requirements of users on terminal intellectualization are higher and higher, operators urgently need to change the terminal direction of IP and intelligent services, and although directly issuing the intelligent terminals is really a good choice, the improvement of terminal functions inevitably brings about the increase of cost.

Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It is to be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not limiting of the invention. It should be further noted that, for the convenience of description, only some of the structures related to the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of the structures.
The embodiment of the invention provides a technical scheme of a streaming media service system. Referring to fig. 1, in this embodiment, the streaming media service system includes: the system comprises a streaming media cloud service platform 11 deployed on a cloud side, streaming media providing equipment deployed on a terminal side, and a streaming media terminal 13. Since the streaming media providing device is disposed on the streaming media terminal 13 side, it can also be said that the streaming media providing device is disposed locally at the streaming media terminal 13.
The streaming media service platform 11 provides a streaming media interactive interface 111 for the streaming media terminal. The streaming media terminal 13 can complete the service application for the streaming media service through the operation of the streaming media interactive interface 111. In addition, non-streaming live or on-demand streaming media may be displayed on the streaming media interaction interface 111. Moreover, the streaming media service platform supports mutual splicing of the streaming media, and provides a realization interface for splicing and playing of different streaming media.
The streaming service platform 11 may be composed of a set of service clusters. Specifically, the service cluster 11 forming the streaming media service platform may include: the system comprises a streaming media subscription service cluster, a streaming media charging service cluster and an application service cluster. Of course, such cluster configuration may be simplified according to specific customer requirements and business characteristics.
Various applications may be loaded on the streaming service platform 11. In general, applications hosted on a platform can be distinguished as: a streaming media class application 112, and a non-streaming media class application 113. The non-streaming media like application 113 is also referred to herein as a value added service application. Such as electronic game-like applications, electronic book-reading-like applications, and other applications that provide value-added services, may be classified into this class of applications. The value of such applications being carried on the streaming service platform 11 is that the variety of services provided by the streaming service platform 11 can be enriched. The user can enjoy other types of services besides various streaming services conventionally provided by the streaming service platform 11, and the functions of the platform are enriched.
Some streaming media applications 112 may also be loaded on the streaming media service platform 11. Through these streaming media-like applications, the streaming media service platform 11 can directly provide the streaming media service with the medium-speed or low-speed code rate to the streaming media terminal 13. These streaming services include on-demand services and live services. In the embodiment of the present invention, such a streaming media application is not an essential component on the streaming media service platform. That is, even if these streaming media applications are not installed on the streaming media service platform 11, the usage of the streaming media service by the streaming media terminal 13 is not affected.
The streaming media providing device is disposed on the streaming media terminal side, that is, disposed locally at the streaming media terminal. The streaming media providing apparatus includes: a local streaming media gateway 121, or a local streaming media push server 122.
The streaming media gateway 121 is connected to an independent streaming media signal source device 123, and can directly provide a live broadcast or on-demand service of streaming media to a streaming media terminal. The streaming media push server 122 provides the streaming media service directly to the streaming media terminal 13 through the streaming media stored thereon. In general, the streaming media service provided by the streaming media push server 122 is more of a streaming media service of an on-demand type.
The common feature between the streaming gateway 121 and the streaming server 122 is that they are also deployed in the local of the streaming terminal 13, and can directly provide the streaming service to the streaming terminal 13 through the local network.
The advantage of this deployment is that the service platform 11 does not need to simultaneously accept the acceptance of the streaming media service application and provide the specific live broadcast and on-demand service. Thus, the operation load of the service platform 11 is greatly reduced, and cloud resources are saved.
From another perspective, such resource migration does not burden the streaming terminal 13 to enjoy the streaming service. On the contrary, because the streaming media providing device is arranged locally instead, the request delay of the streaming media is reduced, and the real-time performance of providing the streaming media service is favorably provided.
The streaming terminal 13 is a terminal device for a user to use a streaming service. Typically, the streaming media terminal 13 may be a set-top box, a smart television, or a smart phone with streaming media playing function.
A streaming media application library 131 is arranged inside the streaming media terminal 13, and a corresponding relationship between a streaming media subscription number in the streaming media cloud service platform and a streaming media number in the streaming media providing device is prestored in the streaming media application library 131.
The streaming terminal 13 is also provided with a decoding unit 132 inside. Through the decoding unit 132, the streaming media terminal 13 can decode the encoded high-definition video provided by the streaming media providing device, so as to play the high-definition video.
In use, the streaming terminal 13 first needs to apply for a streaming service to the streaming service platform 11 to use a streaming service. After the streaming media service platform 11 performs operations such as authentication and authorization on the terminal, when the terminal 13 is considered to be able to use the streaming media service, an authentication message is fed back to the terminal 13. After receiving the authentication message, the streaming media terminal 13 searches the streaming media application library 131 according to the streaming media subscription number in the authentication message, and then requests a specific streaming media service to the streaming media providing device according to the search result.
By adopting the streaming media service system provided by the embodiment of the invention, the content is provided in the local server, and the cloud resources are saved. Moreover, non-video applications are solved by cloud streaming resources, the terminal computing capacity is minimized, and the terminal cost is optimal. In addition, video resources with smaller code rate can be selectively placed on the streaming platform according to the local network state, and flexible and diverse resource configuration modes are achieved. Furthermore, the whole system scheme adopts a 'cloud + end' mode, and the application is separated from the platform, so that the service introduction openness and the user experience are unified. In addition, the streaming application library of the terminal software contains a communication interface with the cloud, and a standard communication interface is reserved on hardware so that other modules can be accessed in an open mode in the future.
Fig. 2 and 3 show two specific deployment modes according to different network situations. The deployment illustrated in fig. 2 is first introduced. Referring to fig. 2, in this deployment, the on-demand service and the live service are accessed through different types of networks. Specifically, the on-demand service is connected to the routing device 22 through the IP network, and is accessed to the set-top terminal 23 through the routing device 22. And the live broadcast service is connected to the gateway device 21 through the HFC network and is accessed to the set-top terminal 23 through the gateway device 21. The set-top box terminal 23 is connected with the streaming media service platform 24 through an IP network, and implements a service application for the streaming media service.
Referring to fig. 3, in this deployment, both the on-demand service and the live service are connected to a routing device 31 through an IP network, and are accessed to a set-top terminal 32 through this routing device 31. Similarly, the set-top terminal 32 is connected to the streaming service platform 33 to complete a service application for the streaming service.
It should be noted that, in the two deployment manners, the streaming media providing device for directly providing the streaming media service needs to be disposed locally at the set-top box terminal.
The invention provides a brand-new home terminal solution by introducing the concept of 'application program streaming' and adopting a 'cloud + end' mode. The scheme separates the application from the platform, and unifies the service introduction openness and the user experience. The non-video resources and the video resources are managed separately, the non-video resources are solved by cloud streaming resources, the computing capacity of the terminal is minimized, and the cost of the terminal is optimal. Video resources are provided by a gateway, and film sources with large code rates such as 4K, VR are provided by a plug-flow server, so that the cloud pressure is reduced, and the problem that a user cannot normally watch a high-code-rate video due to the limitation of DVB-C and a network is solved. For video data with a small code rate, the film source can be selectively placed on the streaming platform, and the resource configuration mode is flexible. The service updating does not depend on application carriers such as a set top box and the like, and a user can carry out man-machine interaction according to the self requirement, so that the service updating is accelerated, and the cost is reduced. The terminal reserves a standard communication interface, facilitates the addition of a module later, and greatly expands the types of peripheral equipment so as to meet the requirements of different services and develop the services.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention and is not intended to limit the present invention, and various modifications and changes may be made by those skilled in the art. Any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the protection scope of the present invention.
