Abstract
The invention relates to an explosion-proof alkaline zinc-manganese battery, which is characterized in that a metal explosion-proof needle is arranged between a negative plate and a sealing gasket, the tip of the explosion-proof needle is parallel to a current collecting rod and points to the sealing gasket, and in addition, the negative plate is provided with a vent hole. When the gas pressure in the battery exceeds the rated pressure, the sealing gasket presses the tip of the explosion-proof needle and punctures the sealing gasket, and at the moment, the gas in the battery is discharged outwards from the crevasse of the sealing gasket and the vent hole of the negative electrode bottom plate, so that the explosion of the battery is avoided. The invention has simple structure, easy manufacture, convenient use and low cost, and is a safe and reliable battery which can prevent leakage and explosion.
Description
The invention relates to an improved alkaline zinc-manganese battery.
The existing alkaline zinc-manganese battery adopts a sealing gasket in order to solve the problem of leakage and particularly enhance the sealing property. The problem of leakage can be solved due to the enhancement of sealing, but the gas generated in the alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide battery can not be discharged during charging and discharging, so that the battery can be deformed and even the explosion phenomenon can be generated. Therefore, most of alkaline zinc-manganese batteries are provided with certain explosion-proof structures, some of the alkaline zinc-manganese batteries are provided with a sealing gasket which is partially grooved and provided with a weak part, and the negative electrode bottom plate outside the sealing gasket is provided with a vent hole. The most important points of the explosion-proof structure are as follows: the weak portion of the sealing gasket can be surely ruptured when the gas pressure value of the battery reaches a predetermined value. The explosion-proof type alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide battery is considered to be safe and reliable if the pressure at which the sealing gasket is ruptured, that is, the rated pressure of the explosion-proof mechanism, is constant and the error of the same lot of products is small. However, it is difficult to make the rupture pressure of each seal uniform, since minute processing errors and environmental temperature differences greatly affect the seal, and since the seal is made of a flexible and tough plastic, it is often seen that the weak portion of the seal is stretched without being ruptured when the internal gas pressure of the battery reaches a predetermined value, and therefore, it is necessary to make the weak portion of the seal extremely thin in order to rupture the seal at a necessary and relatively low pressure. Most preferably, the seal gasket has polymer molecules arranged in a radial direction about a central convex portion of the seal gasket, so that the grooves extend in a direction orthogonal to a concentric circle about the central convex portion. This patent application can provide an explosion-proof alkaline battery which can ensure rupture of the weak portion of the sealing gasket at a relatively low pressure even in the case where the weak portion of the sealing gasket is thick. However, the sealing gasket has strict requirements on materials, high requirements on production processes and great difficulty, which bring great difficulty to implementation, and thus, the sealing gasket is difficult to popularize in developing countries.
The invention aims to provide an alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide battery which has the advantages of simple production process, convenient use, simple structure, low cost, liquid leakage prevention and explosion prevention.
The invention is realized by the following steps: a metal explosion-proof needle is arranged between a negative plate with a vent hole of the alkaline zinc-manganese battery and a sealing gasket, the sharp end of the explosion-proof needle is parallel to a current collecting rod, the sharp end of the explosion-proof needle points to the sealing gasket sleeved on the current collecting rod, the sealing gasket is made to have a certain thickness according to the requirement of bearing pressure, and one end of the current collecting rod is connected with the negative plate. When the alkaline zinc-manganese battery is improperly used or charged or the pressure of the gas in the battery is gradually increased due to other reasons, the sealing gasket automatically bulges outwards under the action of the pressure of the gas in the battery, when the pressure of the gas in the battery exceeds the rated pressure, the sealing gasket presses the sharp tip of the explosion-proof needle and punctures the sealing gasket, and at the moment, the gas in the battery is discharged through the breach of the sealing gasket and the vent hole of the negative plate, so that the pressure in the battery is reduced, and the explosion of the battery is prevented.
The alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide battery has the advantages of simple structure, easy manufacture, convenient use and low cost, is safe and reliable, and can prevent liquid leakage and explosion.

Referring to fig. 1 and 2, a negative plate 5 of the alkaline zinc-manganese battery is provided with a vent hole 6, a metal explosion-proof needle 4 is arranged between the negative plate 5 and a sealing gasket 3, the tip of the explosion-proof needle 4 is parallel to a current collecting rod 2, the sharp tip of the explosion-proof needle 4 points to the sealing gasket 3 sleeved on the current collecting rod 2, one end of the current collecting rod 2 is connected with the negative plate 5, the sealing gasket 3 is tightly pressed between the opening edge part of a positive tube 1 and the peripheral part of the negative plate 5 through extrusion, and the negative plate 5, the sealing gasket 3 and the positive tube 1 form a sealed whole. When the pressure of the gas in the alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide battery is gradually increased, the sealing gasket 3 automatically bulges outwards, when the pressure in the battery reaches the rated pressure, the sealing gasket 3 presses the sharp point of the explosion-proof needle 4 and punctures the sealing gasket 3, and at the moment, the gas in the battery is discharged outwards through the crevasse of the sealing gasket 3 and the vent hole 6 of the negative electrode plate 5, so that the explosion of the battery is avoided.
