Abstract
The invention relates to a socket connector, which comprises an insulating shell, wherein the insulating shell is provided with a tongue plate, the socket connector also comprises a circuit board accommodated in the insulating shell, a row of first conducting strips are distributed on the upper surface of the circuit board, a row of second conducting strips are distributed on the lower surface of the circuit board, the first conducting strips and the second conducting strips are respectively provided with contact parts and connecting parts which are connected in front and back, the contact parts of the first conducting strips are exposed on the upper surface of the tongue plate, the contact parts of the second conducting strips are exposed on the lower surface of the tongue plate, and the first conducting strips and the second conducting strips on the circuit board replace conductive terminals.

Technical Field
The invention relates to a socket connector for signal transmission.

In order to achieve the purpose, the invention adopts the following technical scheme: a socket connector comprises an insulating shell, wherein the insulating shell is provided with a tongue plate, the socket connector further comprises a circuit board contained in the insulating shell, a row of first conducting strips are arranged on the upper surface of the circuit board, a row of second conducting strips are arranged on the lower surface of the circuit board, the first conducting strips and the second conducting strips are respectively provided with contact parts and connecting parts which are connected in a front-back mode, the contact parts of the first conducting strips are exposed on the upper surface of the tongue plate, and the contact parts of the second conducting strips are exposed on the lower surface of the tongue plate.
Further, the circuit board is assembled or insert-molded in the insulating housing.
Furthermore, the tongue plate is provided with a slot for assembling the circuit board.
Furthermore, the tongue plate comprises an upper wall part, a lower wall part and two side wall parts, wherein the upper wall part and the lower wall part are arranged on the outer side of the insertion groove in a surrounding mode, the two side wall parts are connected with the upper wall part and the lower wall part, the upper wall part and the lower wall part are respectively provided with a slot which penetrates through the upper wall part and the lower wall part from top to bottom, and the contact part is located in the slot.
Furthermore, the tongue plate further comprises a front wall part which shields the front of the slot, the upper wall part, the lower wall part and the two side wall parts are respectively connected with the front wall part, and the outer side surfaces of the side wall parts are provided with lock catch grooves.
Furthermore, the insulating shell comprises a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls and inserting holes, wherein the two side walls are used for connecting the top wall with the bottom wall, the inserting holes are formed among the top wall, the bottom wall and the two side walls, and the tongue plate is located in the inserting holes.
Furthermore, the insulating shell comprises a rear wall sheltered behind the plug hole and a pair of fixing plates protruding backwards from the rear wall, the fixing plates are spaced from each other vertically, the slot penetrates through the insulating shell backwards and is located between the fixing plates, the tongue plate protrudes forwards from the rear wall, and the connecting part protrudes backwards out of the fixing plates along with the circuit board.
Furthermore, the socket connector further comprises screws and nuts, the fixing plate is provided with fixing holes aligned up and down, the circuit board is provided with through holes aligned with the fixing holes, and the screws are locked with the nuts after penetrating through the fixing holes and the through holes.
Furthermore, the first conducting strip and the second conducting strip respectively comprise two grounding conducting strips which are arranged on the left side and the right side, and the grounding conducting strips extend outwards to form through holes and are electrically contacted with the screws.
Further, the insulating shell is of an integrated structure made of ceramic materials, and the socket connector is a USB Type-C interface connector.
The socket connector of the invention utilizes the first and second conducting strips on the circuit board to replace the conducting terminals, has less parts, simple manufacturing process, simplified manufacturing process, short production period and reduced production cost.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1 to 8, the socket connector 100 of the present invention is a sinking-plate USB Type-C interface connector, which includes an insulative housing 10, a circuit board 20 accommodated in the insulative housing, two screws 30 and two nuts 40.
The insulating housing 10 is a one-piece structure made of ceramic material, and includes a top wall 11, a bottom wall 12, two opposite side walls 13 connecting the top wall 11 and the bottom wall 12, a rear wall 14, a tongue plate 15 protruding forward from the rear wall 14, and a pair of fixing plates 16 protruding rearward from the rear wall 14, wherein the top wall 11, the bottom wall 12, the two side walls 13 and the rear wall 14 enclose a plug hole 18 for inserting and pulling a plug connector (not shown). The tongue plate 15 is positioned in the insertion hole 18. The two side walls 13 are respectively provided with an outward protruding horizontal mounting plate 130, and the high-pressure bottom wall 12 of the mounting plate 130. The mounting plate 130 is provided with a mounting hole 132 penetrating up and down.
The tongue plate 15 includes an upper wall 151, a lower wall 152, two left and right opposite side walls 153 and a front wall 154, the upper wall 151, the lower wall 152, the two side walls 153 and the front wall 154 define a slot 155, and the slot 155 further extends rearward through the rear wall 14 and is between the pair of fixing plates 16. The upper wall 151 and the lower wall 152 are respectively provided with a plurality of slots 1510 penetrating vertically, and the slots 1510 of the upper wall 151 and the lower wall 152 are arranged in a row at intervals in the left-right direction. The outer side of the side wall 153 is provided with a locking groove 1530 exposed in the plug hole 18 for locking with the plug connector.
The tongue plate 15 comprises a first tongue plate 156 and a second tongue plate 158 connecting the first tongue plate 156 and the rear wall 14, the first tongue plate 156 horizontally protrudes forwards from the second tongue plate 158, and the thickness and the width of the first tongue plate 156 are smaller than those of the second tongue plate 158. The slot 1510 and the locking recess 1530 are disposed on the first tongue portion 156, respectively.
The pair of fixing plates 16 are spaced apart vertically, and fixing holes 160 are formed at left and right sides thereof in vertical alignment.
The circuit board 20 is arranged horizontally, a row of first conducting strips 21 is arranged on the upper surface, a row of second conducting strips 22 is arranged on the lower surface, and the first and second conducting strips 21, 22 are spaced from the front end surface of the circuit board 20 by a certain distance and extend backwards to the rear end surface of the circuit board 22. Each of the first and second conductive sheets 21 and 22 has a contact portion 211 and 221 at the front end and a connection portion 212 and 222 at the rear end. Flanges 23 are further provided on the left and right sides of the circuit board 20 near the rear end, and the flanges 23 are provided with through holes 230 penetrating downward.
The circuit board 20 is inserted forward into the slot 15 of the insulative housing 10, the contact portion 211 of the first conductive plate 21 is exposed to the upper surface of the first tongue plate 15 through the slot 1510, and the contact portion 221 of the second conductive plate 22 is exposed to the lower surface of the first tongue plate 15 through the slot 1510 for contacting with a plug connector. The connecting portions 212 and 222 of the first and second conductive sheets 21 and 22 protrude from the fixing plate 16 of the insulative housing 10 rearward of the rear end of the circuit board 20 for connecting with an external circuit (not shown) of the socket connector 100.
The first conductive sheet 21 and the second conductive sheet 22 respectively include two grounding conductive sheets 213 and 223 arranged on the left and right sides, and the connection portions 212 and 222 of the grounding conductive sheets 213 and 223 extend outward to the through hole 230.
The through holes 230 of the flange 23 of the circuit board 20 are vertically aligned with the fixing holes 160 of the fixing plate 16 of the insulating housing 10, and the screws 30 are inserted through the through holes 230 and the fixing holes 160 and locked with the nuts 40, so that the circuit board 20 is fixed with the fixing plate 16, and the nuts 40 are hidden in the fixing holes 160. The connecting portions 212 and 222 of the grounding conductive sheets 213 and 223 electrically contact with the screws 30, so that the grounding conductive sheets 213 and 223 of the first and second conductive sheets 21 and 22 form a grounding loop.
The socket connector 100 of the present invention uses the first and second conductive sheets 21, 22 on the circuit board 20 to replace the conductive terminals, so that the socket connector 100 has few parts, simple manufacturing process, simplified manufacturing process, short production period and reduced production cost.
In other embodiments, the circuit board 20 is insert molded within the insulative housing 10.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
Claims (9)
1. A socket connector comprises an insulating shell, wherein the insulating shell is provided with a tongue plate, and the tongue plate is provided with a slot for assembling a circuit board; the method is characterized in that: the socket connector comprises an insulating shell, a circuit board and a first conducting strip, wherein the insulating shell is of an integrated structure made of ceramic materials, the circuit board is accommodated in the insulating shell, a row of first conducting strips are arranged on the upper surface of the circuit board, a row of second conducting strips are arranged on the lower surface of the circuit board, the first conducting strips and the second conducting strips are respectively provided with contact parts and connecting parts which are connected in a front-back mode, the contact parts of the first conducting strips are exposed on the upper surface of the tongue plate, and the contact parts of the second conducting strips are exposed on the lower surface of the tongue plate; the tongue plate comprises a first tongue plate inserted into the slot of the ceramic material and a second tongue plate connected with the first tongue plate, the first tongue plate horizontally protrudes forwards from the second tongue plate, and the thickness and the width of the first tongue plate are smaller than those of the second tongue plate.
2. The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein: the circuit board is assembled or insert-molded in the insulating housing.

The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein: the tongue plate comprises an upper wall part, a lower wall part and two side wall parts, wherein the upper wall part and the lower wall part are arranged on the outer side of the slot in a surrounding mode, the two side wall parts are connected with the upper wall part and the lower wall part, the upper wall part and the lower wall part are respectively provided with a slot which penetrates through the upper wall part and the lower wall part from top to bottom, and the contact part is located in the slot.

The receptacle connector according to claim 3, wherein: the tongue plate further comprises a front wall part which shields the front of the slot, the upper wall part, the lower wall part and the two side wall parts are respectively connected with the front wall part, the outer side surfaces of the side wall parts are provided with lock catch grooves, and the slot and the lock catch grooves are respectively arranged on the first tongue plate.

The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein: the insulating shell comprises a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls and inserting holes, wherein the two side walls are used for connecting the top wall with the bottom wall, the inserting holes are formed among the top wall, the bottom wall and the two side walls, and the tongue plates are located in the inserting holes.

The receptacle connector according to claim 5, wherein: the insulating shell comprises a rear wall and a pair of fixing plates, the rear wall is shielded behind the inserting hole, the fixing plates protrude backwards from the rear wall, the fixing plates are spaced from each other vertically, the inserting groove penetrates through the insulating shell backwards and is located between the fixing plates, the tongue plate protrudes forwards from the rear wall, and the connecting part protrudes backwards out of the fixing plates along with the circuit board.

The receptacle connector according to claim 6, wherein: the socket connector further comprises screws and nuts, the fixing plate is provided with fixing holes aligned up and down, the circuit board is provided with through holes aligned with the fixing holes, and the screws penetrate through the fixing holes and the through holes and are locked with the nuts.

The receptacle connector according to claim 7, wherein: the first conducting strip and the second conducting strip respectively comprise two grounding conducting strips which are arranged on the left side and the right side, and the grounding conducting strips extend outwards to form through holes and are electrically contacted with screws.
9. Socket connector according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein: the socket connector is a USB Type-C interface connector.
