Thermal oxidation is the most important cause of asphalt aging, which is the result of the reaction of active groups in asphalt with oxygen in air, and the oxidized products are mainly carbonyl and alum functional groups, and the advanced aging is likely to generate shuttle functional groups. Intermolecular association and polycondensation result in an increase in the average molecular weight of the asphalt after aging. From the analysis of composition and properties, the pitch after aging has reduced gum, increased asphaltenes, increased softening point, increased viscosity, and reduced penetration and ductility. When the asphalt sampling barrel 1 slowly rises, the asphalt cohesiveness close to the barrel edge is reduced due to the high temperature of the inner wall of the asphalt sampling barrel 1, and the asphalt sample can generate a small amount of vertical displacement, so that the air volume in the airtight air pressure control chamber 2 is increased, the air pressure is reduced, and a pressure difference is formed with the outside, so that the asphalt sample is supported integrally and cannot slide downwards, and the asphalt sample is taken out of the storage barrel. And placing an asphalt storage container below the asphalt sampling device, opening a control valve 3, heating the asphalt sampling barrel 1 to a proper temperature, and reducing the adhesiveness of asphalt at the edge of the asphalt sampling barrel 1 due to the temperature rise, so that the solid asphalt sample falls into the asphalt storage container under the action of gravity to finish solid asphalt sampling.
