Description

Set top box upgrading method and set top box
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of android device upgrading, in particular to a set top box upgrading method and also particularly relates to a set top box.
Background
The set-top box is used as a home media terminal more and more frequently in the home, and more functions are added to the set-top box, however, the addition of various new functions also makes the upgrade of the set-top box more and more frequent, and the firmware upgrade package of the set-top box becomes larger and larger. In order to overcome the problems of large upgrading package, long upgrading time caused by frequent and frequent upgrading, slow upgrading and the like, most set top boxes are upgraded by adopting an incremental upgrading mode.
The incremental upgrade refers to that when the set top box is subjected to upgrade operation, only the place needing to be changed is upgraded, the upgrade is not repeated when the upgrade is not needed or the upgraded system components and the like are upgraded, the incremental upgrade is relative to the full upgrade, the incremental upgrade is partial upgrade of the current system, the full upgrade is upgrade and update of all current system files and the like, the upgrade range is wider compared with the incremental upgrade, an installation package needing to be downloaded is larger, but when the content needing to be updated of the set top box is smaller, all installation packages still need to be downloaded, the installation package downloading and installation time are too long, and compared with the full upgrade, the upgrade mode of the incremental upgrade is more flexible and simpler.
However, incremental upgrade has a very high requirement on the version, and only can upgrade for a specific version, which will result in a failure of upgrade if the version is changed arbitrarily. Thus, the range of incremental upgrade is reduced, and the risk of incremental upgrade is increased.
The inventor finds that most of the existing increment upgrading strategies are limited by the version number of a system to be upgraded of a set top box in the process of realizing the method, the increment upgrading can only be carried out on the system version to be upgraded in the increment upgrading process, if the limited system version to be upgraded is changed or any difference exists between an increment upgrading package required by the set top box upgrading and a corresponding basic upgrading package, the set top box can cause upgrading failure of the set top box, the set top box repeatedly downloads the upgrading package to an upgrading server after the upgrading failure, and occupies network resources and the storage space of the set top box in the process of repeatedly downloading the upgrading package, so that the use experience of a user is influenced, and the load pressure of the server is also increased.

Detailed Description
As described in the background art, when a set-top box is upgraded in increments, once a system file and a system version of the set-top box are changed arbitrarily, the incremental upgrade of the set-top box fails, but in the current incremental upgrade strategy, the version is defined by the version number, but the defined version is changed, or the system file of the set-top box itself and a basic upgrade package corresponding to the incremental upgrade package required for upgrade have any difference, which can cause the upgrade failure.
In view of the above technical problems, the present invention provides a set top box upgrade method, which verifies whether a system file of a set top box meets the condition of incremental upgrade by generating verification information according to a system partition file of the set top box, thereby solving the problem that the set top box fails to be upgraded due to downloading of an incorrect upgrade package, and avoiding the problem that an upgrade server is overloaded due to repeated downloading of the same upgrade package after the set top box fails to be upgraded.
As shown in fig. 1, before introducing the upgrade method of the set top box according to the embodiment of the present invention, an application range of the technical solution of the present invention needs to be introduced, where the method is applied to a network including the set top box and an upgrade server, but not limited to the set top box, and some devices that can communicate and interact with the outside may be applied to the method, including but not limited to wireless terminals like a mobile phone, a tablet, and the like, and wired communication terminals like a PC and the like, and devices that need version update themselves, and the upgrade server may be a virtual upgrade server, a server of an artificial architecture, and a cloud upgrade server, and changes in these application scenarios do not affect the protection range of the present application.
Specifically, the method comprises the following specific steps:
step 101, the set-top box generates summary information according to files of each partition of the set-top box;
before the step is implemented, the upgrade server stores in advance checking information of each set top box device model, the checking information is mainly summary information of files in a system partition of a standard set top box, the number of system files and the like, the standard set top box can successfully perform incremental upgrade, it needs to be noted that the standard set top box can be an actual set top box or a set top box which exists logically, the system files of the standard set top box and the actual set top box are the same, and the difference is that the standard set top box can successfully perform incremental upgrade.
In order to accurately verify whether the files of the set-top box meet the conditions of incremental upgrade or not, verification information needs to be generated on the system information of the set-top box, the set-top box upgrades the system of the set-top box and mainly upgrades the current system information of the set-top box, the system information comprises the current version information of the set-top box, system files of each partition under a system folder of the set-top box and image files in core files, DIGEST-MD5 DIGEST algorithm calculation is carried out on the system files of the set-top box and the image files in the core files, corresponding file DIGESTs are generated, the information format of each file DIGEST is 'directory/file DIGEST', for example, 'system/app/A896F89AA3A437F335E9872719F225', and the like, correspondingly, in an upgrade server, installation packages of a plurality of versions often exist, the DIGEST generation is carried out on the installation package of the latest version corresponding to the set-top box, the generation mode of the method is the same as that of the abstract in the set-top box, the file format of the method is consistent, the method is defined as verification information generated in the set-top box, the abstract information generated according to basic system files to be subjected to incremental upgrading is preset in an upgrading server as the verification information, the verification information is also standard abstract information which can be used for incremental upgrading of set-top boxes with the same equipment model, the verification information comprises the current version information of the set-top box, the abstract information corresponding to the files of all the partitions of the set-top box and the file number of all the files in the system partitions, and the selection of the specific partitions is determined according to the actual situation.
Certainly, in an actual scenario, other non-system files of the set top box also need to be updated, and in the method according to the embodiment of the present invention, it may also be defined that other files of the set top box themselves are updated, and correspondingly, verification information generation is also performed on other files, such as a clock, a picture, a theme, and the like in the system, all of which belong to the protection scope of the present invention.
And 102, the set-top box sends upgrading request information carrying verification information to an upgrading server.
The set-top box can perform information interaction with an upgrade server when in operation, the set-top box can firstly confirm current version information to the upgrade server when being started, upgrade request information is sent to the upgrade server, the upgrade request information carries verification information and also comprises information such as own equipment identification and a secret key required by service, when the server receives the verification information, the secret key of the set-top box is firstly verified, and after the secret key passes the verification, the set-top box is then subjected to corresponding service and system version verification.
In a specific application scenario, the set top box may also be set to send a system upgrade request to the upgrade server every preset time period, the specific time period is set according to an actual situation, and a mode of sending upgrade request information by the set top box does not affect the protection scope of the application.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the verification information contains file abstracts generated by different files, the system version of the set-top box, the number of all files in a system partition and the like, the server can directly acquire the files, and the server can verify whether the files are the same or not by directly comparing the files with different abstracts.
And 103, the set top box performs incremental upgrading according to the incremental upgrading instruction returned by the upgrading server.
In a specific application scenario, when an upgrade server receives an upgrade request of a set top box, after passing key authentication of the set top box, the upgrade server acquires an equipment identifier of the set top box, the equipment identifier contains the model and hardware code of the set top box, the upgrade server matches a system version of the set top box corresponding to the model of the set top box, inquires a latest system version of the equipment model of the set top box corresponding to the model of the set top box, acquires and compares system version information in verification information with latest system version information of the set top box of the current same model, if the system version information is consistent, it is determined that the set top box does not need to be upgraded, and if the system version information is inconsistent, corresponding check information is acquired to be upgraded correspondingly.
In a specific application scenario, a situation that manual upgrade is performed on a set top box during factory leaving or later maintenance may exist, the set top box is sometimes upgraded to a system version whose version is higher than that of an upgrade server, and at this time, the upgrade server does not update the system version in time, in a preferred embodiment of the present application, when the upgrade server receives an upgrade request of the set top box in the following sequence, the upgrade server compares a system version number of system information of the set top box with a system version number of a latest version of the same device model stored in the upgrade server, and specifically there are the following two situations:
the first condition is as follows: and if the system version information of the set top box and the system version information of the set top box are consistent or the version number of the current system version of the set top box is higher than the version number of the system version stored in the set top box, the current system version of the set top box is the latest system version, and if the update is not needed, an indication message that the update is not needed is returned to the set top box.
Case two: if the version number of the system version of the current set top box is lower than the version number of the system version stored by the set top box, the current system version of the set top box is required to be upgraded, then the verification information sent by the set top box is further verified, and the verification information with the same equipment model as the set top box is obtained
In a specific application scenario, because the upgrade of the set top box is divided into incremental upgrade and full upgrade, when the upgrade mode is selected for the set top box, the system files and the like of the set top box need to be further confirmed, the check information is the system file abstract of each partition of the same set top box capable of incremental upgrade, and the system file abstract is compared with the system file abstract in the abstract information contained in the check information of the set top box, and the following two different situations are specifically adopted:
the first condition is as follows: if the system file abstracts of the set top box and the system file abstracts of the set top box are the same, the set top box can be subjected to incremental upgrading, and the server sends a corresponding incremental upgrading package to the set top box, wherein the upgrading package comprises an installation package capable of being subjected to incremental upgrading;
case two: and if the system file abstracts of the set top box and the system file abstracts of the set top box are different, the basic upgrade package in the set top box is different from the basic upgrade package required by the set top box increment upgrade package, and the corresponding full upgrade package is sent to the set top box, wherein the upgrade package comprises an installation package which can be used for full upgrade.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, after determining the upgrade mode required by the set-top box, the server may also send the address of the corresponding upgrade package to the set-top box, and the set-top box downloads the upgrade package according to the upgrade address returned by the server and completes the upgrade process, and the difference in the mode does not affect the protection scope of the present application.
By applying the method for upgrading the set-top box provided by the embodiment of the application, the set-top box sends upgrading request information carrying verification information to an upgrading server, the verification information comprises the current version information of the set-top box and summary information generated by the set-top box according to files of each partition of the set-top box, the set-top box carries out incremental upgrading according to an incremental upgrading instruction returned by the upgrading server, the incremental upgrading instruction is generated when the upgrading server determines that the verification information is consistent with the summary information, the upgrading server acquires the verification information according to the version information when the verification information is acquired by the upgrading server, the verification information is generated according to files of each partition of a standard set-top box with the same equipment model and version information in a state to be incrementally upgraded, and the set-top box is prevented from failing to upgrade due to downloading of an error upgrading packet and from occupying and wasting network resources, the user experience is guaranteed, and the problem that the upgrading server is overloaded due to the fact that the set top box is unsuccessfully upgraded is solved.
