FIG. 1 is a schematic illustration of an implementation environment in accordance with the present invention. The implementation environment may include: a terminal 110 and a server 120.
The terminal 110 may be a terminal having network connection and video playing functions, for example, the terminal 110 may be a mobile terminal such as a smart phone, a tablet computer, or an e-book reader, or the terminal 110 may also be a desktop computer or a notebook computer.
The server 120 may be a single server, or the server 120 may also be a server cluster composed of a plurality of computers, or the server 120 may also be a cloud service platform.
The terminal 110 and the server 120 are connected via a wired or wireless network and perform data communication.
The server 120 may be a server providing service support for a webcast platform, and the terminal 110 logs in the server 120 through a built-in client or browser, receives page data or a live video provided by the server 120, and displays the page data or the live video on a screen of the terminal 110.
In the scheme shown in the invention, the server 120 can intercept video frames of each live video according to a preset time strategy, store the intercepted live video screenshot into a network address corresponding to the live video, provide a live entry page containing a live entry corresponding to the live video for the terminal, obtain the network address of the video screenshot corresponding to a target live entry in the live entry page when the terminal 110 displays the live entry page provided by the server 120, obtain the video screenshot corresponding to the target live entry according to the network address and the preset time strategy, and after the video screenshot is obtained, display the obtained video screenshot as a preview of the target live entry so that the preview of the target live entry can accurately indicate the latest content of the live video corresponding to the target live entry by repeated updating. Namely, when the terminal displays a live broadcast entry page including a live broadcast entry, the terminal can display a video screenshot corresponding to the live broadcast entry as a preview of the live broadcast entry according to a preset time strategy.
In the scheme shown in the present invention, the video screenshot of the live broadcast entry may be a video screenshot captured by the server when the live broadcast video is captured for the last time or within the last period of time, and is not necessarily a video picture being played at the current moment of the live broadcast video corresponding to the live broadcast entry.
In addition, the predetermined time policy may be a policy corresponding to a time interval between two adjacent times of acquiring the video screenshots corresponding to the target live broadcast entry by the terminal. For example, the predetermined time policy may be that the time intervals between two adjacent video screenshots obtained by the terminal are the same, or the time intervals between two adjacent video screenshots obtained by the terminal are increased in an arithmetic sequence or an arithmetic sequence, or the like.
Optionally, in order to avoid that the process of requesting the video screenshot affects interaction between the user and the live entry page and display performance of the live entry page, in the scheme of the present invention, a main thread of the live entry page is responsible for initiating the request and updating and displaying a preview of the live entry, and the step of obtaining the video screenshot is processed by a background thread.
The subsequent embodiment of the invention will be mainly explained by taking the example that the preset time strategy can be that the time intervals between two adjacent video screenshots obtained by the terminal are the same, and the step of obtaining the video screenshots is processed by a background thread.
Fig. 2 is a flow diagram illustrating a method for displaying a preview of a live feed entry according to an exemplary embodiment, which may be used in the implementation environment shown in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 2, the method for displaying a preview of a live entry may include the following steps:
step 201, the server intercepts the video frame of the live video according to a preset time strategy, and stores the intercepted screenshot of the live video to the network address corresponding to the live video.
The server can periodically perform screenshot on each live video in a network live platform which provides service support for the live video, and store the screenshot into a network address corresponding to the live video. Typically, the captured screenshot may be the most recently captured screenshot.
The period of the server for capturing the video pictures of the live video can be set by developers of the network live platform during development, and can also be set or updated by managers of the server.
Step 202, the server provides a live entry page to the terminal, and the terminal acquires the live entry page.
And 203, displaying a live broadcast entry page by the terminal, and displaying a preview of the live broadcast entry corresponding to the live broadcast entry in the live broadcast entry page.
And the live entry page comprises live entries corresponding to the live videos. The live broadcast entry displayed in the live broadcast entry page may be an operable control, a preview of the corresponding live broadcast entry may be displayed on the operable control, and the user performs a trigger operation on the operable space, for example, after clicking the operable control, the terminal jumps to display a play page of the live broadcast video corresponding to the live broadcast entry.
And step 204, the terminal determines a target live broadcast entrance in the live broadcast entrance page.
Wherein the target live entry is all or part of the live entries in the live entry page.
For example, the live entry page may include many live entries, and the visible area in the live entry page cannot display all live entries included in the live entry page.
In the embodiment of the invention, the terminal can determine all live broadcast entries in the live broadcast entry page as the target live broadcast entries, and when a subsequent user adjusts the visible area of the live broadcast entry page through dragging operation of a scroll bar or sliding operation of a screen, a preview of a newly displayed live broadcast entry can be updated in time, so that the latest content of the newly displayed live broadcast entry can be accurately indicated.
Or, the terminal can only determine part of live broadcast entries in the live broadcast entry page in the visible area as target live broadcast entries, so that the situation that video screenshots of the live broadcast entries which are not displayed in the live broadcast entry page are acquired from the server can be avoided, the flow resources and the computing resources of the terminal are saved, the performance of the terminal for displaying the live broadcast entry page is improved, and the power consumption is reduced.
And step 205, the terminal acquires a network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance.
Specifically, the server can allocate network addresses of corresponding video screenshots to each live broadcast entrance in a live broadcast entrance page, when the server performs screenshot on live broadcast videos corresponding to the live broadcast entrances, the captured video screenshots are stored in the corresponding network addresses, when the server provides the live broadcast entrance page for the terminal, the network addresses of the video screenshots corresponding to the live broadcast entrances in the live broadcast entrance page can be sent to the terminal, and after the terminal determines a target live broadcast entrance, the network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance is searched from the received network address.
And step 206, the terminal sends a downloading request to the background thread, wherein the downloading request is used for instructing the background thread to download the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance from the network address according to a preset time strategy.
The downloading request may include a network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast portal.
Specifically, the download request may be sent by a main thread of a live broadcast entry page, after receiving the download request, a background thread (for example, the background thread may be a thread corresponding to a picture download management center) may periodically download the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entry according to a predetermined acquisition period, for example, the background thread may send a request message to a server, where the request message carries a network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entry, and after receiving the request message, the server extracts a corresponding video screenshot according to the network address in the request message and returns the extracted video screenshot to the terminal.
And the background thread can periodically download the acquisition period of the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance from the network address, and the acquisition period can be provided for the terminal by the server. For example, the administrator of the webcast platform may set or change the acquisition period in the server, and the server notifies the set or changed acquisition period to the terminal.
Or, the obtaining period may also be set by the user in the terminal, for example, a setting entry may be provided in the live entry page, and after the user clicks the setting entry in the live entry page, the user enters the obtaining period setting interface and sets the obtaining period in the obtaining period setting interface.
It should be noted that, for the same target live broadcast entry, in order to avoid acquiring the same video screenshot in the two previous acquisition periods, the acquisition period needs to be greater than the period of the server for acquiring the live broadcast video corresponding to the target live broadcast entry. For example, if the capture period of the live video corresponding to the target live broadcast entry by the server side is 2s, the period of downloading the video capture corresponding to the target live broadcast entry by the background thread needs to be greater than or equal to 2 s.
In addition, in the embodiment of the invention, the network address of each live broadcast entrance corresponding to the video screenshot at the server side is kept unchanged in the updating process, in practical application, a gateway device or a buffer server is usually arranged between the terminal and the server, and part of the gateway device or the buffer server has a buffer function, that is, after the gateway device or the buffer server receives a request for a network address for the first time, the video screenshot is downloaded from the server of the live webcast platform and provided to the terminal, and the downloaded video screenshot is cached in the gateway device or the buffer server, when a request with the same network address is received next time, a new video screenshot is not required to the server of the live network platform any more, but the old video screenshot cached before is returned to the terminal, so that the terminal requests the same video screenshot in two acquisition periods before and after. To this end, in the embodiment of the present invention, when a background thread sends a request message to a server of a live broadcast platform, a timestamp is added in a network address of a video screenshot corresponding to a target live broadcast entry, so that a difference exists in specific content of network addresses in two previous request messages corresponding to the same live broadcast entry, for example, a video screenshot corresponding to a certain target live broadcast entry has an address of http:// www.topen.com/view/1274864.html at a server side of the live broadcast platform, and when a background thread sends a request message corresponding to the live broadcast entry, a timestamp is added behind the address, so as to generate a network address http:// www.topen.com/view/1274864. html? time 029382498. Because the timestamps added at different time points are different, for the same live broadcast entrance, the network addresses in the corresponding request messages received by the gateway device or the buffer server are different, and when a new request message for one live broadcast entrance is received, the gateway device or the buffer server ignores the locally stored video screenshot corresponding to the live broadcast entrance, re-requests the server of the live broadcast platform for a new video screenshot and returns the new video screenshot to the terminal.
And step 207, when receiving a download success response sent by the background thread, the terminal reads a video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entry from the specified storage position.
And after the background thread in the terminal successfully downloads the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance, storing the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entrance to a specified storage position, and returning a downloading success response to the main thread. And after receiving the downloading success response, the main thread reads the corresponding video screenshot from the specified storage position. When a plurality of target live broadcast entries correspond to each other, the designated storage positions of the video screenshots corresponding to the target live broadcast entries can be different.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner, after the background thread acquires a new video screenshot of the target live broadcast entry in the current acquisition period, the old video screenshot of the target live broadcast entry acquired in the previous acquisition period may be deleted, so as to save storage resources of the terminal.
Optionally, the specified storage location may be a preset storage location, and after receiving the download success response, the main thread reads the video screenshot according to the preset storage location.
Or, the specified storage location may also be a storage location determined when the background thread stores the downloaded video screenshot, the background thread sends a download success response to the main thread and notifies the main thread, and after receiving the download success response, the main thread reads the video screenshot according to the storage location notified by the background thread.
Optionally, when the background thread fails to download the video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entry, the background thread may return a download failure response to the main thread to indicate that a new video screenshot corresponding to the target live broadcast entry is not downloaded in the current acquisition period. And after receiving the download failure response, the main thread does not read the video screenshot in the current acquisition period.
And 208, after the terminal acquires the video screenshot, displaying the video screenshot as a preview of the target live broadcast entrance.
When a plurality of target live broadcast entries are available, in each acquisition cycle, the main thread can wait for the completion of downloading of the video screenshots corresponding to the target live broadcast entries and uniformly update the preview images of the target live broadcast entries. Or, in each acquisition cycle, the main thread may also update the preview image of each target live broadcast entry immediately after the video screenshot of the target live broadcast entry is downloaded.
Specifically, for example, a main thread uniformly updates a preview of each target live broadcast entry, please refer to fig. 3, which shows an update timing chart of a preview related to an embodiment of the present invention, where after a terminal opens a live broadcast entry page, the main thread of the live broadcast entry page sends a live broadcast entry list to a background thread, the live broadcast entry list includes network addresses of video screenshots corresponding to each target live broadcast entry, the background thread starts a timer after receiving the live broadcast entry list, and when the timer reaches an acquisition period, the background thread sends a download instruction to a download stack to instruct the download stack to download corresponding video screenshots from the network addresses of the video screenshots corresponding to each target live broadcast entry, and the background thread resets the timer. And after the downloading stack downloads and obtains the corresponding video screenshot, storing the downloaded video screenshot to a specified storage position, and returning an indication of finishing downloading to the background thread. And after confirming that the video screenshots corresponding to the target live broadcast entries are successfully downloaded, the background thread sends a downloading success response to the main thread, and the main thread reads the video screenshots from the specified storage position and updates the preview images of the target live broadcast entries. And when the timer reaches the acquisition period next time, the background thread repeats the steps and instructs the download stack to acquire a new video screenshot.
When there are many target live broadcast entries, if a request is made to obtain a video screenshot of each target live broadcast entry at the same time, it may occupy more bandwidth and processing resources in a short time, and affect the performance of the main thread (i.e., the live broadcast entry page). In a possible implementation manner of the embodiment of the present invention, the background thread may sequentially request to acquire the video screenshots of the target live broadcast entries in each acquisition period, and correspondingly, the main thread may also sequentially update the preview images of the target live broadcast entries in one acquisition period.
Specifically, please refer to fig. 4, which illustrates another preview update timing diagram according to an embodiment of the present invention, where after the terminal opens the live broadcast entry page, a main thread of the live broadcast entry page sends a live broadcast entry list to a background thread, where the live broadcast entry list includes network addresses of video screenshots corresponding to target live broadcast entries, the background thread starts a timer after receiving the live broadcast entry list, and when the timer reaches a specified time, the background thread sends a download instruction to the download stack to instruct the download stack to download a corresponding video screenshot from the network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the first target live broadcast entry, and the background thread resets the timer. And after the downloading stack downloads and obtains the corresponding video screenshot, storing the downloaded video screenshot to a specified storage position, and returning an indication of finishing downloading to the background thread. And the background thread sends a downloading success response to the main thread and simultaneously indicates the downloading stack to download the corresponding video screenshot from the network address of the video screenshot corresponding to the next target live broadcast entrance, and when the main thread receives the downloading success response corresponding to one target live broadcast entrance, the main thread reads the video screenshot from the appointed storage position and updates the preview image of the corresponding target live broadcast entrance until the preview image of each target live broadcast entrance is updated. And when the timer reaches the specified time next time, the background thread repeats the steps and instructs the download stack to acquire a new video screenshot.
In summary, in the method shown in the embodiment of the present invention, when the live broadcast entry page is displayed, for a target live broadcast entry in the live broadcast entry page, according to an address of the target live broadcast entry, a video screenshot of a live broadcast video corresponding to the target live broadcast entry is obtained according to a predetermined time policy, and the latest video screenshot is displayed as a preview of the target live broadcast entry, that is, the preview of the live broadcast entry can be continuously updated to the corresponding screenshot of the live broadcast video, so that the preview of the live broadcast entry can accurately indicate the latest content of the live broadcast video, and the effective information amount shown by the preview of the live broadcast entry is increased.
In addition, according to the method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the main thread of the live broadcast entry page is responsible for initiating the request and updating and displaying the preview image of the live broadcast entry, and the step of requesting the video screenshot is processed by the background thread, so that the interaction between the user and the live broadcast entry page and the display performance of the live broadcast entry page are prevented from being influenced by the process of requesting the video screenshot.
In practical application, a user may only be interested in live videos corresponding to one or a small number of live feeds in a live feed page within a visible area, and at this time, whether preview images of other live feeds in the live feed page are updated or not has little influence on user experience, but easily influences the performance of the live feed page, and wastes bandwidth resources and processing resources of a terminal. In contrast, in the scheme of the present invention, the terminal may determine only the live feed entry that may be of interest to the user in the visible area in the live feed entry page as the target live feed entry.
Fig. 5 is a flow diagram illustrating a method for preview representation of a live feed portal, which may be used in the implementation environment of fig. 1, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment. As shown in fig. 5, the method for displaying a preview of a live entry may include the following steps:
step 501, the server intercepts a video frame of the live video according to a preset time strategy, and stores a screenshot of the intercepted live video to a network address corresponding to the live video.
Step 502, the server provides a live entry page to the terminal, and the terminal acquires the live entry page.
Step 503, the terminal displays the live entry page, and displays a preview of the live entry corresponding to the live entry in the live entry page.
And step 504, the terminal determines the live broadcast entrance which is in the visible area of the live broadcast entrance page and meets the processing condition as the target live broadcast entrance.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the live entry meeting the processing condition may be a live entry marked by the user and/or a live entry associated with the currently logged-in user account.
For example, taking the live entry meeting the processing condition as a live entry marked by the user as an example, each live entry in the live entry page corresponds to a respective marked state, and the marked state may include marked and unmarked. In each live entry in a visible area in a live entry page, for one live entry in the live entries, when a marking operation on the live entry is detected, the terminal can set the marking state of the live entry to be marked.
The marking operation may be a designation operation performed by the user on the live broadcast entry, for example, an operation of long-pressing a preview of the live broadcast entry, or a click operation on a certain button corresponding to the live broadcast entry.
Specifically, please refer to fig. 6, which illustrates a schematic diagram of marking a live entry. Wherein, a live broadcast entry page 61 is displayed in the terminal screen, and 4 live broadcast entries, namely live broadcast entries 62, 63, 64 and 65, are displayed in a visible area (a screen display area in fig. 6) of the terminal screen, if a user is interested in a live broadcast video corresponding to the live broadcast entry 65 and is not interested in other three live broadcast entries, the user can press a preview of the live broadcast entry 65 for a long time, and at this time, the terminal sets the mark state of the live broadcast entry 65 to be marked. Optionally, as shown in fig. 6, the terminal may also perform enhanced display on the live broadcast entries marked in the mark state, for example, a mark icon 65a is displayed in the upper right corner of the preview of the live broadcast entry 65, and no mark icon is displayed in the live broadcast entries 62, 63, and 64 marked in the unmarked state.
Before determining a target live broadcast entrance, the terminal can acquire the mark state of each live broadcast entrance in the live broadcast entrance page, and determines the live broadcast entrance with the mark state being marked in each live broadcast entrance as the live broadcast entrance meeting the processing condition.
For example, taking fig. 6 as an example, after the terminal acquires the mark states of the live feeds in the visible area of the live feed page, and detects that only the mark state of the live feed 65 is marked, the live feed 65 is determined as the target live feed.
