Description

Reselection control method and mobile terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of mobile terminal technologies, and in particular, to a method for controlling reselection and a mobile terminal.
Background
In the prior art, a mobile terminal operating in an LTE communication system (4G network) may generally perform a Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service.
In the prior art, when a mobile terminal performs a VoLTE service, if the mobile terminal happens to perform cell measurement and finds that a currently-resident 4G network cell signal is weak, the mobile terminal may have two options:
1) and performing cell reselection, namely attempting to reselect to a better neighbor cell and perform camping. In this case, the ongoing VoLTE service is not substantially affected, and the already issued VoLTE service request may also proceed as usual.
2) If the neighboring cell does not have a target cell capable of performing reselection, the mobile terminal may turn back to the 2G/3G network to perform cell reselection, that is, perform inter-system reselection. Since the VoLTE service can only work based on the LTE communication system, that is, can only be performed in the 4G network, the VoLTE service cannot be continuously supported after the mobile terminal performs inter-system reselection. At this time, the mobile terminal can only choose to interrupt the ongoing VoLTE service or determine that the issued VoLTE service request fails. Therefore, the user is greatly affected in use.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
It should be noted that the embodiments and features of the embodiments may be combined with each other without conflict.
The invention is further described with reference to the following drawings and specific examples, which are not intended to be limiting.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, based on the above problems in the prior art, a method for controlling a reselection function is provided, which is suitable for a mobile terminal. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal initially operates on a first network, i.e., data transmission is realized through the first network. Further, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first network may be a 4G network, that is, the mobile terminal initially operates based on the LTE communication system.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step of the method for controlling a reselection function specifically includes a method for prohibiting a reselection of the mobile terminal, that is, prohibiting a reselection function in the mobile terminal before initiating the corresponding first voice call service. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the reselection function actually includes a function of performing inter-system reselection to a cell to which the mobile terminal is connected (reselection function), and a function of retransmitting a service request associated with a voice call service (redial function).
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the method for prohibiting the reselection function specifically includes:
step A1, the mobile terminal adopts a call unit to initiate a first voice call service;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the call unit may be an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) unit inside the mobile terminal.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first voice call service is initiated based on the first network, and if the first network is a 4G network (LTE communication system), the first voice call service is a VoLTE service accordingly. Hereinafter, the first voice call service is described as VoLTE service as an example.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the mobile terminal needs to initiate a VoLTE calling, the IMS unit set therein is adopted to send a corresponding VoLTE service request to the opposite mobile terminal through the LTE network.
Step A2, the call unit notifies a control unit of the mobile terminal that the first voice call service has been initiated, so as to prohibit the mobile terminal from performing inter-system reselection through the control unit, and simultaneously, the call unit sends a service request associated with the first voice call service to the opposite-end mobile terminal through the first network;
in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step a2 actually performs two operations:
1) the IMS unit sends a corresponding notice to a control unit in the mobile terminal to inform the control unit to: the mobile terminal has initiated a corresponding VoLTE service;
2) and the IMS unit sends a corresponding VoLTE service request to the opposite mobile terminal through the LTE network.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the control unit disposed in the mobile terminal includes a first control unit and a second control unit. The first control component operates in a Non Access Stratum (NAS) of the mobile terminal, and the second control component operates in an Access Stratum (AS) of the mobile terminal.
Therefore, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, in the step a2, the step of controlling the mobile terminal to disable its reselection function is as shown in fig. 2, and includes:
step a21, the call unit notifies the first control section that the first voice call service has been initiated;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step a21 may actually be: the IMS element sends a corresponding notification to the NAS to inform that the NAS has initiated the VoLTE caller.
Step A22, the first control unit issues a prohibition notification to the second control unit;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step a22 may actually be: and the NAS sends a corresponding prohibition notification to the AS in a message passing manner according to the notification in the step a 21.
In step a23, the second control section prohibits the mobile terminal from performing the reselection function according to the prohibition notification.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step a23 may actually be: and finally controlling the mobile terminal to prohibit the reselection function of the mobile terminal by the AS according to the prohibition notice.
In other words, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal initiates the VoLTE caller through the IMS unit, and notifies the NAS that the VoLTE caller has been initiated at this time; and the NAS transmits a message to the AS according to the notification to notify the AS to close the reselection function of the mobile terminal, namely to notify the AS to prohibit the mobile terminal from reselecting.
In step a3, the mobile terminal receives request feedback corresponding to the service request through the first network to successfully establish a data transmission link associated with the first voice call service, and then exits.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal obtains the request feedback of the opposite mobile terminal through the LTE network, and then determines that the request feedback is:
1) and the mobile terminal judges that the data transmission link associated with the VoLTE is successfully established according to the request feedback, and then the mobile terminal informs the AS to restart the reselection function at the moment, namely, the reselection is recovered. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the manner of notifying the AS to recover the reselection function is similar to the above, and the NAS is notified by the IMS unit, and the NAS notifies the AS layer by layer.
2) And the mobile terminal judges that the establishment of the data transmission link fails according to the request feedback, and at the moment, the mobile terminal still informs the AS to recover the reselection function.
In other words, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the time limit for turning off the reselection function is not reached until the mobile terminal successfully establishes the data transmission link associated with VoLTE or fails to establish the data transmission link.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the foregoing may further include a procedure of establishing a VoLTE connection, that is, a procedure of establishing a corresponding data transmission link between the calling party and the called party through a VoLTE call and response. However, for the procedure of establishing the VoLTE connection, there are many implementation manners in the prior art, and therefore, the detailed description is omitted here. The procedure of VoLTE called setup described hereinafter is also not described in detail.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, for the opposite-end mobile terminal (VoLTE called party), if the VoLTE calling party prohibits the reselection function, the opposite-end mobile terminal also needs to prohibit the corresponding function.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, if the mobile terminal disables the reselection function, the mobile terminal (VoLTE caller) first sends a paging message to the correspondent mobile terminal before initiating a service request associated with the first voice call service (VoLTE) via the first network (LTE network). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the paging message is used to indicate that the reselection function has been disabled.
The above steps are shown in fig. 3, and include:
step C1, after the opposite terminal receives the paging message, according to the paging message, forbidding the reselection function related to the opposite terminal;
in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, in the step C1, the paging message is a paging message. Firstly, a network informs a VOLTE called party of VOLTE calling start in a page paging mode, and after the current called party receives an indication of VOLTE calling start, a reselection function is forbidden.
Specifically, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the PAGING message may include a preset indication flag for indicating that the current PAGING is a VOLTE call. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the indication flag may be a special cause value carried in the paging message for indicating that a VoLTE call (VoLTECall) has been initiated.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the manner of prohibiting the reselection function by the opposite-end mobile terminal is similar to the manner of prohibiting the reselection function by the mobile terminal (VoLTE calling party) in the foregoing, and details are not repeated herein.
Step C2, after receiving the service request associated with the first voice call service through the first network, the opposite-end mobile terminal initiates a corresponding called service process associated with the first voice call service;
in the preferred embodiment of the invention, after receiving the VoLTE call transmitted later, the VoLTE called party initiates the corresponding VoLTE called service process. As mentioned above, the process has many implementation ways in the prior art, and thus is not described in detail.
And step C3, the opposite-end mobile terminal returns corresponding request feedback to the mobile terminal sending the service request according to the called service process, so as to successfully establish the data transmission link associated with the first voice call service.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, after successfully establishing the VoLTE call, the peer mobile terminal also resumes its reselection function.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, after the VoLTE call is failed to be established, the opposite mobile terminal also recovers the reselection function.
In summary, in the technical solution of the present invention, if the mobile terminal can prohibit the reselection function after initiating the VoLTE call and resume the reselection function after the VoLTE call is established, a problem that the VoLTE call cannot be normally performed due to a collision between the mobile terminal and the inter-system reselection of the mobile terminal during the VoLTE call initiation process can be avoided.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the step of the method for controlling a reselection function further includes a method for allowing the mobile terminal to perform reselection.
Specifically, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the above-mentioned method for controlling the reselection function needs to include both a method for describing how to handle when the reselection is prohibited and a method for describing how to handle when the reselection is allowed. Therefore, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the mobile terminal does not prohibit the reselection function (i.e. allows reselection), the method for performing the voice call service is specifically shown in fig. 4 and includes:
step B1, the mobile terminal adopts a call unit to send a service request associated with a first voice call service through the first network;
in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, as described above, the first network may be a 4G network, i.e., an LTE network.
Therefore, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first voice call service may be a voice call service based on an LTE communication system, that is, a VoLTE service.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, as described above, the called telephony unit is an IMS unit.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, in the step B1, the mobile terminal initiates the VoLTE calling request through the LTE network by using the IMS unit.
Step B2, when the inter-system reselection is needed, the mobile terminal initiates a reselection operation through a control unit to resend a service request associated with a second voice call service;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the second network may be a corresponding 2G network (e.g. a GSM network) or a 3G network (e.g. a WCDMA network). Accordingly, in the step B2, the second voice call service may be a Circuit domain (Circuit do) call service performed in a 2G network or a 3G network.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 5, the step B2 specifically includes:
step B21, the mobile terminal detects that the inter-system reselection is needed, and goes to step B22;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, if the mobile terminal detects that the currently camped cell associated with the first network (4G network) has a weak signal and no surrounding neighboring cells associated with the first network can be reselected, the mobile terminal may initiate an inter-system reselection, that is, attempt to reselect the mobile terminal to a cell associated with the second network (2G network or 3G network) and camp on the cell.
The reason why the mobile terminal initiates the inter-system reselection is described more in the prior art, and therefore the technical scheme of the present invention is not listed again.
Step B22, the mobile terminal adopts the control unit to inform the call unit to release the system resource occupied by the first voice service before;
in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal may also notify the IMS unit to release the system resources previously occupied by the VoLTE calling service through message transmission between the control unit and the IMS unit.
Step B23, the mobile terminal reselects the different system to reselect to work in the communication system based on the second network;
the process of reselecting the mobile terminal from the 4G network to the 2G/3G network has many implementation manners in the prior art, and details are not described herein.
Step B24, the mobile terminal re-raises a service request associated with the second voice call service through the second network.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, under the 2G/3G network, the mobile terminal re-initiates a cs domain call service, and sends a corresponding service request through the 2G/3G network to notify the opposite terminal to establish a data transmission link of the cs domain call service.
In step B3, the mobile terminal receives a request feedback corresponding to the service request associated with the second voice call through the corresponding second network, so as to successfully establish the data transmission link associated with the second voice call service, and then exits.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal then establishes a data transmission link associated with the cs domain call service according to the corresponding request feedback returned by the opposite mobile terminal.
In summary, in the technical solution of the present invention, if the mobile terminal allows the reselection function, when a situation requiring reselection occurs, the mobile terminal first performs inter-system reselection, and then retransmits the service request associated with the cs domain call service (a service request associated with the VoLTE service has been previously transmitted once) to the opposite mobile terminal after reselecting to the corresponding second network (2G/3G network), so as to establish a data transmission link associated with the cs domain call service with the opposite mobile terminal.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal is further provided, wherein the method for controlling a reselection function is adopted.
While the invention has been described with reference to a preferred embodiment, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and detail may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
