Fig. 1 is a flowchart of an embodiment of a method for operating a set-top box according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method of this embodiment includes:
step S102, the IPTV service management device obtains the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal.
Step S104, the IPTV service management device provides an electronic program menu (EPG) page that can be displayed through the browser to the intelligent terminal, and accordingly, the intelligent terminal receives the EPG page provided by the IPTV service management device and displays the EPG page through the browser.
And step S106, the user operates on the electronic program menu page, and the intelligent terminal responds to the operation of the user on the electronic program menu page and sends an operation instruction of the user on the electronic program menu page to the IPTV service management equipment.
Step S108, the IPTV service management device responds to an operation instruction sent by the intelligent terminal and used for operating the electronic program menu page by the user, and forwards the operation instruction to the corresponding set-top box according to the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal, so that the set-top box can obtain the operation instruction and execute the corresponding operation.
By establishing the connection between the intelligent terminal and the IPTV service management device, the intelligent terminal acquires an electronic program menu page from the IPTV service management device and displays the page through a browser, a user can operate on the page, and an operation instruction is issued to the set top box associated with the intelligent terminal through the IPTV service management device, so that the user can operate the set top box by the intelligent terminal without additionally installing application, the use of the user is facilitated, and the set top box can be a non-intelligent set top box or an intelligent set top box, and the universality is stronger.
The operation instruction for the user to operate the electronic program menu may include, for example, a program selection instruction, a page turning instruction, a search instruction, a filtering instruction, and a sorting instruction. Obviously, other operation instructions can be included as required besides the above listed operation instructions, and are not exhaustive here. The mobile terminal can also provide a touch interactive mode, so that the operation flexibility of selection, page turning, searching, screening, sequencing and the like is higher, and the user experience is improved.
In step S102, there may be multiple ways for the IPTV service management device to obtain the set-top box information bound to the intelligent terminal. For example, the first is that the IPTV service management device receives set-top box information bound to the intelligent terminal, where the set-top box information is sent by the intelligent terminal; the second is that the IPTV service management device searches for the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal from the local information stored in the device, for example, the set-top box information bound is stored by using a session (session control) technique, that is, the IPTV service management device stores the set-top box information required by session, and maintains the set-top box information so that the intelligent terminal can access from any page of the electronic program menu at any time.
In the following, taking the first obtaining manner, that is, taking an example that the IPTV service management device receives the set-top box information sent by the intelligent terminal, a process of obtaining the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal by the IPTV service management device according to the present invention is described with reference to fig. 2.

Step S2024, the IPTV service management device receives the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal sent by the intelligent terminal, and completes the binding.
By adopting the method, the intelligent terminal and the set-top box can be bound, so that the IPTV service management equipment can accurately forward the operation performed on the electronic program menu page of the intelligent terminal to the corresponding set-top box.
In step S2022, the smart terminal may obtain the information of the set-top box bound by the smart terminal, for example, in the following three ways.
The first method is that the intelligent terminal obtains the information of the set top box bound by the intelligent terminal from the television scanning through the image recognition technology. The television is a display terminal of the set-top box, a user can use a remote controller to view and record a page with set-top box information from the television, the set-top box information is presented in a bar code, a two-dimensional code or other image forms, the user uses the intelligent terminal to call a camera function, and set-top box information verification is carried out in a mode of scanning a television screen, so that the intelligent terminal obtains the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal.
And the second mode is that the intelligent terminal receives the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal and input by a user. The user can know the information of the set-top box from the television screen or in other ways. After the user knows the information of the set-top box, the set-top box information is input and submitted on a related page of the intelligent terminal, such as a set-top box information input page, so that the intelligent terminal obtains the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal.
And thirdly, reading the set top box information bound by the intelligent terminal from the browser temporary file stored locally by the intelligent terminal. After the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal is sent by the intelligent terminal, the browser can store the bound set-top box information in the form of a temporary file, such as a cookie. The cookie is generated by the IPTV service management equipment, records the information of the set-top box and is sent to the browser of the intelligent terminal, the browser stores the key value pair of the cookie into a text file under a certain directory, and the cookie is sent to the server when an electronic program menu page is requested next time, so that the intelligent terminal obtains the set-top box information bound by the intelligent terminal.
Besides the method for acquiring the set top box information bound by the intelligent terminal, obviously, other acquisition methods can be adopted according to the needs.
In addition, the invention can also provide help for the user to guide the user how to obtain the set top box information bound by the intelligent terminal.
