Mixing 100 parts by mass of natural rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber and chloroprene rubber with 30-50 parts by mass of sulfur, and heating and vulcanizing to obtain hard and tough hard rubber, wherein the double bond structure in raw rubber molecules is saturated by sulfur crosslinking. Hard rubber made of natural rubber and 47% sulfur is called pure hard rubber, cutin rubber or bakelite. Hard gums having a sulfur content of about 20% are referred to as semi-hard gums or semi-keratin rubbers. Besides sulfur, the sizing material generally contains inorganic accelerator, hard sizing powder and other fillers, but no anti-aging agent or reinforcing agent is added. Dark brown. Hard and hardly elastic. Is a black hard substance at room temperature, has good chemical stability, excellent chemical corrosion resistance and organic solvent resistance, low water absorption performance, high tensile strength, flexural strength and excellent electrical insulation performance, and can be machined.
Its disadvantages are high brittleness and easy ageing under ultraviolet irradiation. The products are commonly used for manufacturing automotive chemicals, electrical insulation products, liners for chemical equipment, transition layers for bonding rubber and metal, and the like. The sulfur-free hard rubber is of a three-dimensional regular molecular crystal network structure.
The dielectric property, heat resistance, chemical stability and the like of the rubber are superior to those of sulfur-containing hard rubber.
The hard plastic is generally a thermosetting plastic, is a plastic which is processed by a hot pressing method and cannot be processed again after molding, and is generally a green plastic, is hard to feel and is not durable. The common hard plastics include phenolic plastics, polyurethane plastics, epoxy plastics, unsaturated polyester plastics, furan plastics, organic silicon resins, acryl resins and the like and related plastics made by taking modified resins thereof as a machine body.
