Abstract
The invention discloses a method for playing a streaming media video file at a variable speed, which comprises two parts of video information editing and video playing, wherein a double-speed label of a video is generated in advance by a manual clipping method and provided in a certain format, and then video data in a label description range is played according to the double-speed value set by the label according to the double-speed label information, so that the video file is played at a fast forward and slow forward speed as required, and simultaneously, a user can still select to watch the video at a normal speed, so that the method also reserves the selection right of audiences while realizing the variable-speed playing of the video.

Technical Field
The invention relates to a method for playing a streaming video file at a variable rate.
Background
For http on-demand streaming video files, a general player does not provide a function of fast-forward/slow-play and other variable-rate play.
Even if the player is supported, the user is required to click a corresponding button of the player to independently select in the watching process, for some specific scenes, such as content production/publishers, the user is expected to be guided to watch according to the understanding of the user on the video content, and the interest or importance degree of the user on the file content is reflected by fast-forward and slow-play, so that the existing player is not supported.
Although there is currently a method of artificially changing the content of a video through pre-editing, and this method can achieve similar effects as described above, on the other hand, the viewer loses the option.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to overcome the deficiencies of the prior art and to provide a method for playing a streaming video file at a variable rate.
To achieve the above object, in one aspect, the present invention provides a method for playing a streaming video file at a variable rate, which includes two parts, i.e. video information editing and video playing,
the video information editing section includes the steps of:
adding a custom speed doubling tag to a required streaming media video file;
the video playing part comprises the following steps:
analyzing the self-defined speed-multiplying tag information, and constructing a list structure of a triple group of a speed-multiplying value, a starting timestamp and an ending timestamp;
and playing the content of the streaming media video file according to the ternary information in the list structure.
Preferably, in the step of the video playing part, before parsing the user-defined speed-doubling tag information, the streaming media video file needs to be analyzed and judged, and the method includes the following steps:
judging whether the current streaming media video file selects to start a director's cutting mode;
when a director editing mode is selected to be started, initializing an analyzer instance, preprocessing a current streaming media video file, and judging whether the streaming media video file has a custom speed doubling tag or not;
and when the streaming media video file has the self-defined speed-multiplying label, analyzing the self-defined speed-multiplying label information.
Preferably, the custom speed-doubling tag includes information such as a playing speed-doubling value, a playing start timestamp corresponding to the current speed-doubling value, and a playing end timestamp corresponding to the current speed-doubling value.
Preferably, in the step of playing the content of the streaming video file according to the ternary information in the list structure, the method further includes the following steps:
when the speed value in the ternary information is equal to 1, playing the video content of the current segment of the streaming media video file at a normal speed until the ending timestamp or the video file is ended;
and when the speed value in the ternary information is greater than or less than 1, playing the video content of the current segment of the streaming media video file according to the specified speed value until the ending timestamp or the video file is ended.
Preferably, in the step of adding the custom speed-doubling tag to the required streaming media video file, the custom speed-doubling tag is generated in a manner that,
synchronously generating independent tag information files according to the content required by the user-defined speed-doubling tag, or,
writing the content required by the self-defined speed doubling tag into the streaming media video file in a self-defined field,
one of two ways of generation.
According to the method for playing the streaming media video file at the variable speed, provided by the invention, the multiple speed label of the video is generated in advance by a manual clipping method and provided in a certain format, and then the video data in the label description range is played according to the multiple speed value set by the label according to the multiple speed label information, so that the fast-forward and slow-play of the video file as required is realized, and meanwhile, a user can still select to watch the video at the normal speed, so that the method also reserves the selection right of audiences while realizing the variable speed playing of the video.

The following describes embodiments of the present invention in detail.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for playing a streaming video file at a variable rate, which includes two parts, i.e., video information editing and video playing.
Specifically, the video information editing part mainly adds the label information related to the speed in the streaming media video file, and comprises the following steps:
step 1.1, label information requirement:
when the streaming media video file is browsed, points are marked on the corresponding file according to interest points or importance degrees, and a custom speed-doubling tag is added, wherein the custom speed-doubling tag can be in any custom format and contains the following key information:
playing the speed value;
a playing start timestamp corresponding to the current multiple speed value;
and the playing ending time stamp corresponding to the current speed doubling value.
Step 1.2, two presentation modes of the label information:
firstly, generating an additional label information file synchronously with the streaming media video file, wherein the additional label information file comprises all label contents meeting the requirements of the step 1.1, and the file format is not limited; or
Secondly, the tag information is written into the streaming media video file as a custom field, and for streaming media video files with different formats, the custom tag should conform to the specification of the video file itself, for example, the MP4 file is box, the FLV file is tag, and the like, and the presentation modes are different according to the container definition of the file format itself.
Specifically, the processing flow of the video playing part comprises the following steps:
and 2.1, judging whether the user selects a director's cutting mode for the current streaming media video file, if not, ignoring the description of the double speed label, playing the current streaming media file to be played according to normal playing logic, otherwise, skipping to the step 2.2 for processing.
And 2.2, initializing an analyzer example of the current streaming media video file to be played, preprocessing the current file to be played by the analyzer, judging whether the file has a user-defined speed doubling tag, playing the current streaming media file to be played according to normal playing logic if the file does not have the user-defined speed doubling tag, and otherwise, skipping to the step 2.3 for processing.
And 2.3, analyzing the speed tag information corresponding to the media file, and constructing a list structure of a triple group of a speed value, a start timestamp and an end timestamp for the player to use. The player scans the structure list, judges and plays the content of the video file according to the triple information in the list:
if the speed value of the timestamp currently played by the player in the ternary structure of the speed doubling list is 1, the player plays the video content of the current segment at the normal speed until the timestamp ending in the speed doubling ternary structure or the video file ends;
if the speed value of the timestamp currently played by the player in the ternary structure of the speed doubling list is greater than 1, the player quickly plays the video content of the current segment according to the specified speed value until the timestamp ending in the speed doubling ternary structure or the video file ends;
and if the speed value of the timestamp currently played by the player in the ternary structure of the speed multiplying list is less than 1, the player slowly plays the video content of the current segment according to the specified speed value until the timestamp ending in the speed multiplying ternary structure or the video file ends.
It should be noted that, when the user turns off the director's clip mode during the playing process, the player should ignore the processing of the subsequent multiple speed tag and play the remaining video file content part at the normal speed, unless the user turns on the director's clip playing mode again during the next normal mode playing process.
Another aspect to be specifically explained is that fast-forwarding of a streaming video file has high requirements on bandwidth and throughput capacity of a server, and if the capacity is insufficient, a single piece of video stream data cannot be played at a specified high-speed value, so for a case where some segments in a video define high-speed (for example, over 10 times speed) playing or a current playing device is sensitive to flow, a special streaming video file meeting the following requirements may be additionally constructed:
the video files are all composed of key frame video data;
the video file internally comprises the time stamp and frame data length information of each key frame video data;
the frame video data is extracted from the original video stream, i.e. the time stamp and the frame data content are kept identical to those in the original video stream,
therefore, when the player encounters the video segment content needing to be played quickly, the player can select a special video file formed by the key frame data, jump to the key frame data corresponding to the starting timestamp of the speed-doubling ternary label structure in the video file to play until the timestamp of the end of playing in the speed-doubling ternary label structure, and then select the speed-doubling information described in the structure according to the next ternary label structure, so as to continue to play the current special video file quickly at different speed-doubling values, or switch back to play the original video file.
In addition, it should be noted that when two streams are switched, the continuity of the time stamps is ensured, and if the time stamps after switching are smaller than the time stamps played before switching, the player is easy to be stuck, and conversely, the video pictures are discontinuous, and a jumping feeling occurs.
According to the method for playing the streaming media video file at the variable speed, provided by the invention, the multiple speed label of the video is generated in advance by a manual clipping method and provided in a certain format, and then the video data in the label description range is played according to the multiple speed value set by the label according to the multiple speed label information, so that the fast-forward and slow-play of the video file as required is realized, and meanwhile, a user can still select to watch the video at the normal speed, so that the method also reserves the selection right of audiences while realizing the variable speed playing of the video.
The invention is suitable for various live broadcast receiving and recording or game, competitive game, movie and television play and other related streaming media video files, marks the playing speed doubling label according to the important or wonderful degree of the content, and realizes corresponding fast forward and slow play.
The invention describes the related streaming media video file, has no limit to the file format, and can be applied to common file formats such as MP4, FLV, HLS and the like and streaming media protocols.

1. A method for playing a streaming video file at a variable rate, comprising two parts of video information editing and video playing,
the video information editing section includes the steps of:
adding a custom speed doubling tag to a required streaming media video file;
the video playing part comprises the following steps:
judging whether the current streaming media video file selects to start a director's cutting mode;
when a director editing mode is selected to be started, initializing an analyzer instance, preprocessing the current streaming media video file, and judging whether the streaming media video file has the custom speed-doubling tag or not;
when the streaming media video file has the self-defined speed-multiplying label, analyzing the self-defined speed-multiplying label information;
analyzing the self-defined speed-multiplying tag information, and constructing a list structure of a triple group of a speed-multiplying value, a starting timestamp and an ending timestamp;
and playing the content of the streaming media video file according to the ternary information in the list structure.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the custom speed-doubling tag comprises a playback speed-doubling value, a playback start timestamp corresponding to a current speed-doubling value, and a playback end timestamp corresponding to a current speed-doubling value.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of playing the content of the streaming video file according to the ternary information in the list structure further comprises the following steps:
when the speed value in the ternary information is equal to 1, playing the video content of the current segment of the streaming media video file at a normal speed until the ending timestamp or the video file is ended;
and when the speed value in the ternary information is greater than or less than 1, playing the video content of the current segment of the streaming media video file according to the specified speed value until the ending timestamp or the video file is ended.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of adding a custom speed tag to the desired video file is performed in such a way that the custom speed tag is generated,
synchronously generating an independent tag information file according to the content required by the self-defined speed-doubling tag, or,
and writing the content required by the self-defined speed doubling tag into the streaming media video file in a self-defined field.
