The invention provides a centre frame of a free-running type long roller jaw lathe, wherein a centre frame body is an open type frame body which is rigid enough and is open towards the direction of a lathe tool rest, three long roller jaw mechanisms are uniformly distributed on the centre frame body at intervals, one of the three long roller jaw mechanisms is arranged right below the central line of the lathe, and the balanced stress of a slender shaft type workpiece can be ensured. The turning device can continuously turn at the center frame when turning the slender shaft type workpiece, unlike the common center frame, the turning device needs to stop at the center frame due to the blocking of the center frame when turning the slender shaft type workpiece, and after one side of the center frame is machined, the center frame is moved, and the other side which is not machined is turned. The turning of the slender shaft type workpiece has higher working efficiency. The long roller jaw mechanism is adopted, the support length of the slender shaft type workpiece is lengthened, the rigidity of the slender shaft type workpiece is greatly increased, and the turning quality of the slender shaft type workpiece is improved.

Background
The lathe is the most common important equipment used in machining, when a slender shaft with a larger length and diameter is machined on the lathe, the slender shaft is poor in rigidity and easy to deform, the machining precision is difficult to control, the slender shaft is a difficult point and a key point in lathe machining, the rigidity of the slender shaft is generally required to be enhanced by a lathe center frame, and the deformation of the slender shaft is reduced, so that the quality of the structure and the performance of the lathe center frame is very important. Most of the existing lathe center frames comprise an upper part and a lower part, the frame body is fastened by screws to form a closed frame, and three clamping jaws are arranged at intervals of 120 degrees on the basis of the clamping jaws right above the center of a lathe to position a workpiece. When a workpiece is turned, the workpiece is fed to a lathe center frame, and the workpiece needs to be stopped and processed in sections due to the blocking of the lathe center frame. After the right side of the lathe center frame is machined, the lathe center frame is moved to a right machined area close to the original position of the lathe center frame, and after the lathe center frame is repositioned, the left unprocessed shaft section is machined, so that the production efficiency is low.
