In step S204, the second processing unit is directed to start up via the th processing unit in case the password to be authenticated matches the secure password, as described above with reference to FIG. 1, the th processing unit 10 directs the second processing unit 20 to start up/wake up if the password to be authenticated acquired in step S201 matches the secure password invoked in step S202.
In the following, a configuration example of the electronic device and a specific password authentication flow according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 3 and 4 further .
FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram further illustrating step of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention the electronic device 3 shown in FIG. 3 is, for example, a notebook computer, the electronic device 3 includes an EC31, a display panel 32, a CPU 33, and a keyboard 34.
Specifically, the EC31 corresponds to the -th processing unit 10 shown in FIG. 1, the secure flash 301 provided in the EC31 corresponds to the -th sub-storage unit 11 shown in FIG. 1, the T-con 302 provided in the display panel 32 corresponds to the controller 30 shown in FIG. 1, and the CPU 33 corresponds to the second processing unit 20 shown in FIG. 1.
For example, when a user inputs an operating system start/wake-up command by pressing a power button (or touching a mouse or a keyboard, etc.), the EC31 transmits a verification user interface display command to the display panel 32. The T-con 302 in the display panel 32 calls several frames of pictures (authentication user interface) stored in advance in its ROM and displays the authentication user interface on the display panel 32. The user inputs a password to be authenticated through the keyboard 34 based on the displayed authentication user interface. The EC31 performs comparison and verification on the password to be verified input through the keyboard 34 and the security password pre-stored in the security flash 301. When the input password to be authenticated matches the security password pre-stored in the secure flash 301, the EC31 will direct the CPU 33 to complete the os boot/wake-up. Conversely, when the input password to be authenticated does not match the security password pre-stored in the secure flash 301, the EC31 will end the password authentication and control to turn off the electronic device 3.
Further, the CPU 33 may control the display panel 32 to display a security password setting user interface after the operating system is booted/woken up. The user sets a user interface based on the displayed security password, and sets and modifies the security password through the keyboard 34 (or other input and output devices such as a mouse). The EC31 sets whether to enable the security password and/or modify the security password in response to the security password setting and modification.
Thus, in the particular example of the electronic device 3 shown in FIG. 3, by storing a secure password in the secure flash 301 of the EC31, the security of the password of the electronic device 3 is ensured because the secure flash 301 cannot be reset by refreshing the BIOS or reinstalling the operating system of the electronic device 3. furthermore, the electronic device 3 further performs the display of an authentication user interface and a secure password setting user interface through the display panel 32, facilitating the user's entry of the password to be authenticated and the setting of the secure password.
Fig. 4 is a detailed flowchart further illustrating an information processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, the information processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of:
in step S401, a start-up or wake-up instruction of an operating system of the electronic device is received. As described above, the user inputs an operating system start/wake-up instruction by pressing the power button (or touching the mouse or keyboard, etc.). Thereafter, the process proceeds to step S402.
In step S402, it is determined whether the security password is enabled. For example, the user may make a setting of whether to enable the security password in advance through the security password setting user interface displayed by the display panel 32.
If a positive result is obtained in step S402, that is, the security password has been enabled, the process proceeds to step S403.
In step S403, the controller displays the verification user interface based on the verification user interface display instruction. For example, T-con 302 in the display panel 32 calls several frames of pictures (authentication user interface) stored in advance in its ROM and displays the authentication user interface on the display panel 32. Thereafter, the process proceeds to step S404.
In step S404, a password to be authenticated input via the authentication user interface is acquired. For example, the user enters a password to be authenticated through the keyboard 34 based on the authentication user interface displayed. Thereafter, the process proceeds to step S405.
In step S405, the security password stored in the th processing unit is called, for example, the EC31 calls the security password stored in advance in its secure flash 301. thereafter, the process proceeds to step S406.
In step S406, it is determined whether the password to be verified matches the security password. For example, the EC31 performs comparison and verification on the password to be verified input via the keyboard 34 and the security password pre-stored in the security flash 301.
If a positive result is obtained in step S406, that is, the password to be authenticated entered via the keyboard 34 matches the security password stored in advance in the secure flash 301, the process proceeds to step S407.
In step S407, the th processing unit directs the second processing unit to boot-up, for example, the EC31 directs the CPU 33 to complete operating system boot-up/wake-up.
In contrast, if a negative result is obtained in step S406, i.e., the password to be authenticated input via the keyboard 34 does not match the secure password stored in advance in the secure flash 301, the process proceeds to step S408.
In step S408, the th processing unit controls to turn off the electronic device, for example, the EC31 will end password authentication and control to turn off the electronic device.
Returning to step S402, if a negative result is obtained in step S402, i.e. no secure password is enabled, the process proceeds directly to step S407, and the EC31 will direct the CPU 33 to complete the operating system boot/wake-up.
After step S407, i.e., after the operating system is booted/woken up, the process may proceed to step S409.
In step S409, control displays a security password setting user interface. For example, the CPU 33 may control the display panel 32 to display a security password setting user interface. The user sets a user interface based on the displayed security password, and sets and modifies the security password through the keyboard 34 (or other input and output devices such as a mouse). The EC31 sets whether to enable the security password and/or modify the security password in response to the security password setting and modification.
In the above, an information processing method and an electronic device using the information processing method according to embodiments of the present invention are described with reference to fig. 1 to 4, which perform storage and verification of password information of the electronic device by using existing hardware, and the password information stored in the existing hardware cannot be reset by a pirate by refreshing a BIOS or reinstalling an operating system, thereby ensuring security of the electronic device and internal data thereof.
