A conveyor system for elastomeric materials, comprising a diverting, variable speed conveyor for changing the direction of the elastomeric material in its natural state while it is being conveyed at varying speeds, characterized by: the apparatus further comprising a spread, variable speed conveyor as recited in any one of claims 1 to 6 disposed downstream of the turn, variable speed conveyor.
