The target display area is at least one display area in the display areas on the split-screen interface.
In this embodiment, the number and/or size and/or shape and/or arrangement of the target display areas may be adjusted based on the input operation.
Taking the split screen interface shown in fig. 3 as an example, a display area S6 may be added to the right side of the display area S5 on the split screen interface, or the display area on the split screen interface, such as S5, may be deleted, the shape of the display area may be adjusted, for example, S1 may be adjusted to be square, the display area may be adjusted to be large or small, for example, S5 may be lengthened, the display position of one or more display areas on the split screen interface may be adjusted, for example, the positions of S1 and S2 are exchanged, S5 is adjusted from below to above the split screen interface, and the overall arrangement of the display areas on the split screen interface may also be adjusted.
In addition, in the embodiment, when a trigger instruction for a display area on the split-screen interface is detected, the triggered display area is controlled to obtain the focus. For example, when the user clicks the display area S1 in the split-screen interface shown in fig. 3, S1 obtains the focus, and specifically, the focus obtained in S1 may be represented by a change in display, for example, a color of a border of S1 may change, or a color of the display area S1 may change, and the like.
Step S203: a selection instruction for at least one target application is received.
Step S204: and according to the selection instruction, starting the selected at least one target application in at least one display area of the split-screen interface.
For example, referring to fig. 4, a desktop of the terminal has a plurality of application icons, for example, a QQ icon, a wechat icon, a short message icon, and the like, and a user may drag an application icon, for example, a wechat icon, to a display area of the split-screen interface, and when dragging to the display area, the wechat starts and displays the interface of the wechat in the display area. Specifically, the electronic device detects the movement track of the icon, determines the position of the end point of the movement track of the icon, and starts the WeChat in the display area where the end point of the movement track is located. It should be noted that, a user may drag a plurality of application icons to a plurality of display areas of the split-screen interface through a plurality of fingers to start, for example, the user drags a wechat icon and a QQ icon to two display areas of the split-screen interface through an index finger and a middle finger at the same time, when dragging to the two display areas, the wechat icon and the QQ icon start in the respective corresponding display areas, and the two display areas respectively display the wechat interface and the QQ interface.
In addition to the above implementation manner of dragging the application icon to the split-screen interface, the application icon may be selected and started in a display area of the split-screen interface in other manners, for example, a user may select the application icon by a click operation, for example, it may be set that the user clicks the application icon once, the clicked application icon is started in any blank display area in the split-screen interface, specifically, the user clicks the WeChat icon once, and the WeChat is started in a blank display area in the split-screen interface. It should be noted that, if all the existing display areas in the current split-screen interface have running applications, a display area may be added to the split-screen interface, so that the application corresponding to the currently selected application icon is started in the newly added display area.
In addition, in a possible implementation manner, the number of the applications running in the split-screen interface can be detected, and when only one application runs in the split-screen interface, the interface of the running application is displayed in a full screen mode. When a user needs to run a plurality of applications at the same time, the user can be triggered to quit the full-screen display and return to the split-screen interface, so that the interfaces of the plurality of applications are displayed in a plurality of display areas of the split-screen interface at the same time.
