In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
The video previewing method of the embodiment of the invention can be executed in any suitable type of user terminal with a user interaction device and a processor with computing capability, such as a handheld game console, a desktop computer, a smart phone, a tablet computer, an electronic reader, an intelligent wearable device and other user terminals.
The video preview device of the embodiment of the present invention may be independently disposed in the user terminal as one of software or hardware functional units, or may be integrated in a processor as one of functional modules to execute the video preview method of the embodiment of the present invention.
Example one
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a video preview method according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 11, acquiring the triggering time for entering a video playing page;
in this embodiment, the video playing page is a playing page where the client bears a feature video, and the video playing page may further include a movie information area, a comment area, an advertisement area, a recommended plate video area associated with a tag of the feature video, and the like, in addition to a playing area where the feature video is played. The playing area for playing the feature film video comprises a video playing frame, a peripheral video recommending frame and the like. And a bullet screen playing button is also arranged at the bottom of the feature film video playing frame, and a user controls whether to allow a bullet screen to appear in the video playing frame by opening or closing the bullet screen playing button. The feature film video is a complete video which needs to be played by the user, and comprises the total playing time of the video. The feature video may be a movie film, a certain episode of a series, a variety video, etc. One skilled in the art would recognize that: the feature video or video playing page taught by the present embodiment should include a basic playing component.
In this embodiment, the client may be video playing software APP of the mobile terminal, may be a web page client of the computer that plays the video, and may be a local client that downloads the video installation package to the local computer and installs the video installation package in the local computer for playing the video, and the like.
In this embodiment, when a user enters a video playing page, a preview video playing request is generated, and the terminal obtains the trigger time for entering the video playing page according to the preview video playing request, for example, when the current time for the user to enter the video playing page is 2016, 7, 5, 13, 45 minutes and 30 seconds, the trigger time obtained by the analysis may be 20160705134530. In some embodiments, the preview video play request may carry a cookie, which may communicate the trigger time value to the terminal.
Step 12, determining a playing start time point of the preview video according to the trigger time;
in this embodiment, the preview video is a relevant video segment that is previously cut from the video by the multimedia service provider, and the preview video includes a preview duration. When a user enters a video playing page, in order to attract the user to watch a video, the multimedia service provider firstly plays a preview video for the user, attracts the user with a highlight video clip, so that the user pays to purchase the right to watch the video. Each section of preview video comprises a playing starting time point and a playing ending time point, and the time from the playing starting time point to the playing ending time point is the preview time length of the preview video.
In some embodiments, the designer intercepts multiple preview video segments from the video depending on the job objective, where the preview duration of each preview video segment is the same. Of course, the designer may also configure different preview durations for each preview video segment.
In this embodiment, the terminal determines the play start time point of the preview video according to the trigger time. For example, the total video playing time of the feature film video is 110 minutes, the preview time of the preview video is 10 minutes, the analyzed trigger time is 20160705134530, and according to the calculation formula: 20160705134530/(110-10) ═ 201607051345.30. Taking the remainder of the calculated result, that is, taking the remainder 30 of 201607051345.30, the play start time point of the preview video is determined to be the 30 th minute, that is, the 10-minute preview video starts to be played at the 30 th minute of the feature video, and thus, the play of the preview video is stopped at the 40 th minute of the feature video. In fact, besides determining the playing start time point of the preview video according to the trigger time, the playing start time point of the preview video may also be determined according to other determination elements, and the playing start time point of the preview video may also be determined by adopting other calculation manners and combining the trigger time. Those skilled in the art will recognize that: the manner of determining the playing start time point of the preview video is various, and any manner may be adopted, so long as the content taught by the embodiment of the present invention is combined with the object of the present invention, and the changes and concepts made should fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
And step 13, playing the preview video according to the playing starting time point.
In this embodiment, the preview video may be a preview video sent by a video content server received by the terminal, or may be a preview video that is called by the terminal and is pre-stored locally. And the terminal plays the preview video according to the play starting time point. For example, the terminal determines that the play start time point is 30 minutes of the feature video, and plays the preview video for 10 minutes. Of course, the terminal may also delay the playing start time point by 5 minutes at the 30 th minute to play the preview video for 10 minutes, that is, the terminal may start playing the preview video for 10 minutes only at the 35 th minute. Or the preview video is played for 10 minutes in advance of 5 minutes at the 30 th minute, namely the preview video is played for 10 minutes only after the 25 th minute. As long as the play start time point is determined, it is a flexible setting method for elastically setting the play time point of the preview video, and those skilled in the art can flexibly set the content taught by the present invention, which is not described herein.
In the embodiment, the playing start time point of the preview video is determined according to the trigger time of the user entering the video playing page, and the preview video is played, so that the user entering the video playing page at different time points can enjoy the preview video at different time periods, on one hand, the user can attract payment to be converted into a member to watch feature videos, and the experience of the user on products is also improved, and on the other hand, the profit income of a multimedia service provider can be improved.
Example two
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a video preview method according to a second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
step 21, acquiring the triggering time for entering a video playing page;
step 22, determining the playing starting time point of the preview video according to the trigger time;
step 23, playing the preview video according to the playing starting time point;
step 24, judging whether the play starting time point falls into the video preview limit time period;
in this embodiment, the terminal invokes the video preview limitation time period, and determines whether the play start time point falls within the video preview limitation time period by combining the obtained play start time point.
Step 25, if the playing start time point does not fall into the video preview limit time period, playing the preview video according to the playing start time point;
in this embodiment, the video preview limit time period is a time interval in which the terminal cannot play the video. For example, for a video of 110 minutes, when the time interval between the 30 th minute and the 50 th minute is the video preview limit time period, the terminal may not play the video content corresponding to the time interval, but the terminal may play the preview video whose play start time point does not fall within the video preview limit time period. For example, the video preview device continues to play the preview video from the 10 th minute to the 20 th minute when the preview video starts to play at the 10 th minute.
And step 26, if the playing start time point falls into the video preview limit time period, re-determining the playing start time point of the preview video until the re-determined playing start time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period, and playing the preview video according to the re-determined playing start time point of the preview video.
In this embodiment, when the play start time point falls within the video preview limit time period, the terminal needs to re-determine the play start time point of the preview video until the re-determined play start time point of the preview video does not fall within the video preview limit time period. And when the preview video is re-determined, the terminal re-calculates the play starting time point of the preview video according to the trigger time. For example, the total video playing time of the feature film video is 110 minutes, the preview time of the preview video is 10 minutes, the analyzed trigger time is 20160705134540, the video preview limit time period is a time interval between 30 minutes and 50 minutes, and according to the calculation formula: 20160705134540/(110-10) ═ 201607051345.40. The remainder is taken for the calculated result, namely 201607051345.40, remainder 40, and then 20 is added to the remainder 40, resulting in 60, where 60 is considered to be the 0 th minute of the feature video, i.e. the preview video is played from the 0 th minute of the feature video until the 10 th minute is finished. When the analyzed trigger time is 20160705134550, a remainder is taken for the calculated result, that is, a remainder 50 of 201607051345.50 is taken, then 20 is added to the remainder 50 to obtain 70, and then 60 is subtracted from 70 to obtain 10, where 10 is regarded as the 10 th minute of the preview video at the playing start time point of the feature video, that is, the preview video is played from the 10 th minute to the 20 th minute. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that the manner of calculating the playing start time point of the preview video in the embodiment is only exemplary, and other algorithms may be adopted to calculate the playing start time point of the preview video, and other persons may make other transformations according to the content taught by the present invention, but these transformations should fall within the scope of the present invention.
In the embodiment of the invention, by judging whether the playing starting time point of the preview video falls into the video preview limit time period or not, if not, the preview video is played. Therefore, it avoids the problem that the user completely watches the videos to be viewed for a fee by playing the preview videos for a plurality of times, thereby increasing the profit revenue of the multimedia service provider.
EXAMPLE III
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a video preview method according to a third embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 31, acquiring the triggering time for entering a video playing page;
step 32, determining a playing start time point of the preview video according to the trigger time;
in this embodiment, the video includes a total video playing time length N, the preview video includes a preview time length Y, and the video previewing apparatus determines a playing start time point of the preview video in a preview time selection area according to the trigger time, where the preview time selection area is an interval from 0 to (N-Y). For example, the total video playing time N of the video is 60 minutes, the preview time Y of the preview video is 10 minutes, the preview time selection area is 0-50 minutes, and the determined playing start time point of the preview video is the 30 th minute, that is, the 10-minute preview video starts to be played at the 30 th minute of the video, so that the playing of the preview video is stopped at the 40 th minute of the video.
Further, assuming that the determined play start time point of the preview video is 55 minutes, the preview video which is supposed to be played for 10 minutes can be played for only 5 minutes (60-55), which may affect the user experience. Therefore, the playing start time point of the preview video is determined in the preview time selection area, so that the user can enjoy the video preview for 10 minutes, and the product experience of the user is improved.
Step 33, acquiring a user identifier of the video playing page;
in this embodiment, when a user enters a video playing page, a video preview playing request is generated, and the video preview playing device parses the user identifier from the video preview playing request according to the video preview playing request. The user identifier may be a physical address or a hardware address (MAC address) of the client, may be a device identifier of the Mobile terminal, where the device identifier of the Mobile terminal includes an ADID device identifier, an Android ID device identifier, and an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI device identifier), may be an account number or a nickname and other unique identifiers that the user registers and authenticates at the client, may be a version number of an operating system of the user, may be a version number of a browser of the user, and so on.
In some embodiments, the preview video play request carries a cookie, which may convey a user identification to the video preview device. Of course, value transfer may also be performed using User Agent information (UA).
Step 34, judging whether a video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identification exists;
in this embodiment, the terminal searches whether a video preview limitation period corresponding to the user identifier exists. In this embodiment, in order to make each user have a fixed video preview limitation time period, it is necessary to correspond the user identifier of the user to the corresponding video preview limitation time period.
Step 35, if the video preview limit time period corresponding to the user identifier does not exist, determining and storing the video preview limit time period according to the user identifier;
and step 36, if the video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identifier exists, extracting the video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identifier.
In this embodiment, when the user enters the video playing page for the first time, if the terminal determines that there is no video preview limit time period corresponding to the user identifier, the terminal determines a video preview limit time period according to the user identifier and stores the video preview limit time period. And after the user finishes watching the preview video, closing the video playing page for the first time and exiting the video playing page.
When the user enters the video playing page for the second time or the nth time, the terminal judges the video preview limit time period corresponding to the user identification, and then the terminal extracts the video preview limit time period corresponding to the user identification. Thus, each user has a fixed video preview limit period each time the preview video is viewed. In this way, the storage load caused by the fact that the terminal needs to store the video preview for the limited time period each time is reduced.
Step 37, judging whether the play starting time point falls into the video preview limit time period;
step 38, if the playing start time point does not fall into the video preview limit time period, playing the preview video according to the playing start time point;
and 39, if the playing starting time point falls into the video preview limit time period, re-determining the playing starting time point of the preview video until the re-determined playing starting time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period, and playing the preview video according to the re-determined playing starting time point of the preview video.
Example four
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a video preview method according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 411, acquiring a trigger time for entering a video playing page;
step 412, determining a playing start time point of the preview video according to the trigger time;
in the present embodiment, the preview video further includes a play end time point of the preview video.
Step 413, acquiring a user identifier of the video playing page;
step 414, judging whether a video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identification exists;
step 415, if there is no video preview limit time period corresponding to the user identifier, determining and storing the video preview limit time period according to the user identifier;
step 416, if the video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identifier exists, extracting the video preview limitation time period corresponding to the user identifier;
step 417, determining whether to enter a video playing page for the first time according to the user identifier;
step 418, if the video playing page is not entered for the first time, keeping the original video preview for a limited time period;
in this embodiment, when the terminal determines that the terminal does not enter the video playing page for the first time, the terminal keeps the original video preview for the limited time period. For example, the video preview limitation time period when the user enters the video playing page for the first time is between 30 th minute and 50 th minute, and the video preview limitation time period for the second time is still between 30 th minute and 50 th minute when the user enters the video playing page for the second time.
Step 419, if the video playing page is entered for the first time, judging whether the playing ending time point of the preview video falls into the video preview limit time period;
step 420, if the playing ending time point of the preview video falls into the video preview limit time period, postponing the video preview limit time period;
in this embodiment, the designer designs the time length of the video preview limitation time period according to the design requirement. For example, the video preview limit period may be postponed for the duration of one preview video, or for the duration of multiple preview videos, and so on. Assuming that the total video playing time length N of the video is 60 minutes, the preview time length Y of the preview video is 10 minutes, the time interval between the 30 th minute and the 50 th minute is a video preview limit time period, and the determined playing start time point of the preview video is the 25 th minute. Conventionally, the preview video needs to be played from the 25 th minute to the 35 th minute, and only 5 minutes of video can be previewed from the 25 th minute to the 30 th minute due to the limitation of the video preview limit time period. However, with the method, when the user enters the video playing page for the first time, in order to improve the initial product experience of the user, the video preview device delays the video preview limit time period from 30 th to 50 th minutes by 10 minutes for previewing a video, that is, the delayed new video preview limit time period is from 40 th to 60 th minutes.
Step 421, judging whether the play start time point falls into the delayed video preview limit time period;
step 422, if the playing start time point does not fall into the delayed video preview limit time period, playing the preview video according to the playing start time point;
step 423, if the playing start time point falls into the delayed video preview limit time period, re-determining the playing start time point of the preview video until the re-determined playing start time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period, and playing the preview video according to the re-determined playing start time point of the preview video;
step 424, if the playing ending time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period, the original preview state is maintained.
In the embodiment of the invention, the playing starting time point of the preview video is determined according to the triggering time of the user entering the video playing page, and the preview video is played, so that the user entering the video playing page at different time points can enjoy the preview video at different time periods, on one hand, the user can attract payment to be converted into a member to watch a feature video, and the experience of the user on products is also improved, and on the other hand, the profit income of a multimedia service provider can be improved.

in this embodiment, the designer designs the duration of the advanced video preview limit period according to the design need. For example, the video preview limit period may be advanced by the duration of one preview video, or the duration of multiple preview videos, and so on. In this embodiment, it is assumed that the total video playing time N of the feature video is 60 minutes, the preview time Y of the preview video is 10 minutes, the time interval between the 30 th minute and the 50 th minute is the video preview limit time period, and the playing start time point of the preview video is determined to be the 25 th minute. Conventionally, the preview video needs to be played from the 25 th minute to the 35 th minute, and only 5 minutes of video can be previewed from the 25 th minute to the 30 th minute due to the limitation of the video preview limit time period. However, according to the method, when the user enters the feature film video playing page for the first time, in order to improve the initial product experience of the user, the video preview device advances the video preview limit time period from the 30 th minute to the 50 th minute by 10 minutes of the preview video, that is, the new video preview limit time period before and after the advance is from the 20 th minute to the 40 th minute, so that the video preview device can re-determine the playing ending time point of the preview video until the re-determined playing ending time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period which is advanced by the time of the preview video.
Step 521, judging whether the play starting time point falls into the video preview limit time period before and after the video preview;
step 522, if the play starting time point does not fall into the video preview limit time period before and after the video preview, playing the preview video according to the play starting time point;
step 523, if the play start time point falls within the video preview limit time period before and after the start, re-determining the play start time point of the preview video until the re-determined play start time point of the preview video does not fall within the video preview limit time period, and playing the preview video according to the re-determined play start time point of the preview video;
and step 524, if the playing ending time point of the preview video does not fall into the video preview limit time period, keeping the original preview state.
