Description

Display brightness control method and mobile terminal
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to a display brightness control method and a mobile terminal.
Background
Because LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) has the characteristics of low radiation, light volume, light weight, low power consumption and the like, LCD gradually replaces the traditional CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) Display, and is widely applied to the fields of mobile phones, tablet computers, desktop computers, notebook computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), smart televisions and the like.
The conventional LCD mainly includes a liquid crystal module and a backlight module, and since the liquid crystal module itself does not emit light, the backlight module inside the LCD is required to provide a backlight source for the liquid crystal module, and the backlight module uniformly emits light emitted from the backlight source into the liquid crystal module through an optical structure film to display an image. The LCD is a display screen, and the display brightness is one of the main performance parameters. The backlight module generally comprises one to multiple backlight LED lamp strings, the display brightness of the LCD depends on the driving current of the LED lamp strings, and the driving current of the LED lamp strings can be driven by the backlight driving chip.
One conventional display brightness adjustment scheme is implemented by adjusting a driving current of an LED light string, for example, by reducing a value of the driving current through a backlight driving chip, the brightness of a backlight source can be reduced, and the display brightness of an LCD can be reduced; similarly, the display brightness of the LCD can be increased by increasing the value of the driving current through the backlight driving chip. At present, for the same model LCD, the mapping relationship between the luminance levels and the driving currents is consistent, i.e. the driving currents corresponding to each luminance level (e.g. 205) are the same.
However, LCDs are individually different, and for example, even though the same model LCD has the same characteristics when shipped from a factory, different usage periods of time tend to cause different LCDs to have different degrees of aging. Thus, even if the same driving current is used according to the same brightness level set by the user, the individual differences described above may result in different LCDs having different display brightness. Moreover, the increase of the individual difference increases the difference of the display brightness, thereby affecting the use experience of the user.

and when the actual brightness value is not consistent with the target actual brightness value, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value.
The method for controlling the display brightness according to the embodiment of the first aspect of the present invention has the following advantages:
when the actual brightness value of the display screen is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value; because the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness is obtained according to the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value which is established in advance, for the display screens of the same model, each preset system brightness in the mapping relation can have a uniform preset actual brightness value, and therefore, the brightness adjustment performed under the condition that the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value can provide a consistent actual brightness value through the display screens of the same model, and further the use experience of a user is improved.
In a second aspect, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a mobile terminal, including:
the first acquisition module is used for acquiring the actual brightness value of the display screen of the mobile terminal;
the searching module is used for searching in a mapping relation between preset system brightness and preset actual brightness values which are established in advance according to the system brightness of the display screen so as to obtain preset actual brightness values corresponding to the system brightness and serve as target actual brightness values; and
and the first adjusting module is used for adjusting the brightness of the display screen when the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value.
The mobile terminal of the embodiment of the second aspect of the invention has the following advantages:
when the actual brightness value of the display screen is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value; because the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness is obtained according to the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value which is established in advance, for the display screens of the same model, each preset system brightness in the mapping relation can have a uniform preset actual brightness value, and therefore, the brightness adjustment performed under the condition that the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value can provide a consistent actual brightness value through the display screens of the same model, and further the use experience of a user is improved.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The embodiment of the invention provides a control scheme of display brightness, which can adjust the brightness of a display screen when the actual brightness value of the display screen is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value; because the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness is obtained according to the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value which is established in advance, for the display screens of the same model, each preset system brightness in the mapping relation can have a uniform preset actual brightness value, and therefore, the brightness adjustment performed under the condition that the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value can provide a consistent actual brightness value through the display screens of the same model, and further the use experience of a user is improved.
For example, the display panels 1 and 2 have the same model of the display panels 1 and 2 with the use time of 1 month and 2 years, respectively, and the difference between the use times causes the display panels 1 and 2 to have different aging degrees, in which case the two display panels still have different display brightness even though the same system brightness level and the same driving current are used for the two display panels. The brightness adjustment performed under the condition that the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value in the embodiment of the invention can provide consistent actual brightness value through the display screens of the same model.
Method embodiment one
Referring to fig. 1, a flowchart of a first embodiment of a method for controlling display brightness according to the present invention is shown, and is applied to a mobile terminal, and specifically includes the following steps:
step 101, collecting an actual brightness value of a display screen of a mobile terminal;
the embodiment of the invention can be applied to any mobile terminal with a display screen. For example, the mobile terminal may specifically include but is not limited to: smart phones, tablet computers, electronic book readers, MP3 (Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer III) players, MP4 (Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer IV) players, laptop portable computers, car-mounted computers, desktop computers, set-top boxes, smart televisions, wearable devices, and the like. The embodiment of the invention mainly takes a smart phone as an example to explain the control method of the display brightness of the embodiment of the invention, and the scenes of other mobile terminals can be referred to each other.
In practical applications, the type of the display screen according to the embodiment of the present invention may be an LCD, an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), and the like, and it is understood that any type of display screen may be within the protection scope of the embodiment of the present invention.
In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, the light sensing element may be used to acquire an actual brightness value of the display screen, and optionally, the light sensing element may include: a photoresistor made of semiconductor material has a resistance value decreasing when the incident light is strong and increasing when the incident light is weak. In practical applications, the photosensitive element may be located outside or inside the display screen, wherein when located outside the display screen, the photosensitive element is easily affected by ambient light, so that the collection accuracy of the actual brightness value is easily affected; and when being located the inside of display screen, can avoid receiving the influence of ambient light, so can improve the collection accuracy degree of actual luminance value.
When the actual brightness value of the display screen is acquired by using the photosensitive element arranged in the display screen, the photosensitive element can be symmetrically arranged in the display screen along the center or the central line of the mobile terminal so as to improve the acquisition accuracy of the actual brightness value; the center line can be a longitudinal line or a transverse line passing through the center of the rectangular section corresponding to the display screen. Alternatively, the photosensitive elements may be disposed symmetrically along the center or center line of the display screen on the upper and lower sides of the display screen, for example, one or more photosensitive elements may be disposed on each of the upper and lower sides, and the photosensitive elements may be located at the middle position of the upper or lower side when one photosensitive element is disposed on each of the upper and lower sides.
Referring to fig. 2, a schematic diagram of the placement of the photosensitive elements inside the display screen according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown, wherein 4 photosensitive elements 201 are symmetrically placed at four corners of the display screen interior 202, and 2 photosensitive elements 201 at the lower side may be disposed at the left and right sides of the backlight LED lamp 203. It is understood that the above-mentioned placement of 4 photosensitive elements 201 is only an alternative embodiment of the present invention, and actually, those skilled in the art can determine the number of photosensitive elements and the placement positions thereof according to the actual application requirements, for example, 4N photosensitive elements 201 are symmetrically placed at four corners of the display screen interior 202, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 1. Alternatively, the placement of the upper 3 photosensitive elements (1 each of left, middle, and right) and the lower 3 photosensitive elements is also possible, or the placement of the upper 4 photosensitive elements (left 2, right 2) and the lower 4 photosensitive elements is also possible, and the embodiment of the present invention does not impose a limitation on the specific number of photosensitive elements and the specific placement positions thereof.
In the process of collecting the actual brightness value of the display screen by using the photosensitive element arranged in the display screen, because the backlight module of the display screen is covered with materials such as a polarizing layer, a liquid crystal layer, a glass substrate and the like, the original brightness value collected by the photosensitive element arranged in the display screen needs to be converted according to a preset transfer coefficient so as to obtain the actual brightness value of the display screen. Correspondingly, the step 101 of acquiring the actual brightness value of the display screen may specifically include: firstly, acquiring an original luminous brightness value of a display screen by using a photosensitive element arranged in the display screen; and then, converting the original luminous brightness value according to a preset transfer coefficient to obtain an actual brightness value of the display screen.
The preset transfer factor may be used to indicate the degree of transfer of the backlight from the inside to the outside of the display screen, i.e. the ratio of the external backlight brightness to the internal backlight brightness. Alternatively, the preset transfer coefficient may be a ratio of the collected original luminance value to the display luminance value.
Referring to fig. 3, which shows a schematic diagram of the placement of the photosensitive elements outside the display screen according to the embodiment of the present invention, 4 photosensitive elements 301 are symmetrically placed at four corners of the display screen outer portion 302, and 2 photosensitive elements 301 located at the lower side may be disposed at the left and right sides. It can be seen that the placement of the photosensitive element 301 shown in fig. 3 is consistent with the placement of the photosensitive element 201 shown in fig. 2 in the thickness direction of the display screen (i.e., the coordinates of the rectangular cross section corresponding to the display screen), so that the accuracy of the transfer coefficient can be ensured. In addition, in order to avoid that the display brightness value acquired by the photosensitive element shown in fig. 3 is influenced by the ambient light, the display screen or the mobile terminal to which the display screen belongs may be placed in a preset dark environment.
In practical application, the original luminance value and the display luminance value may be acquired through one or more experiments, wherein a ratio of the display luminance value to the original luminance value in each experiment may be an observed value of the transfer coefficient, and an average value of the observed values obtained through the multiple experiments may be used as the preset transfer coefficient. Optionally, the experiment may be performed before the display screen leaves a factory or during a use stage of the display screen, and a preset interface may be provided for a user during the use stage of the display screen, so that the user may trigger the experiment of the transfer coefficient through the preset interface.
Referring to table 1, an example of a mapping relationship of positions, original light emission luminance values, display luminance values, and transfer coefficients of one photosensitive element of the present invention is shown, wherein when four photosensitive elements are respectively disposed inside and outside a display screen, positions of the four photosensitive elements are assumed to be position 1, position 2, position 3, and position 4, respectively, where the transfer coefficient of position 1 may be η 1 ═ a/a, the transfer coefficient of position 2 may be η 2 ═ B/B, the transfer coefficient of position 3 may be η 3 ═ C/C, and the transfer coefficient of position 4 may be η 4 ═ D/D.
TABLE 1
Position of Original luminance value Display brightness value Coefficient of transfer
Position 1 a A η1=A/a
Position 2 b B η2=B/b
Position 3 c C η3=C/c
Position 4 d D η4=D/d
In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, when 4N photosensitive elements are symmetrically disposed at the four corners of the display screen, the actual brightness value may be an average value of the actual brightness values corresponding to the plurality of photosensitive elements, taking table 1 as an example, assuming that N is 1, the actual brightness value of the display screen may be represented by M ═ a + B + C + D)/4 ═ a × η 1+ B η 2+ C η 3+ D η 4.
Step 102, according to the system brightness of the display screen, searching in a mapping relation between preset system brightness and preset actual brightness values established in advance to obtain preset actual brightness values corresponding to the system brightness, and taking the preset actual brightness values as target actual brightness values;
the system brightness of the display screen may be a management object of the brightness of the display screen, which has adjustability, that is, a condition that a user can perform the system brightness through a UI (user interface). Optionally, the system brightness may be a brightness level, the brightness level may be an adjustable level on the user interface, and the brightness level may range from 0 to 255. Of course, the brightness level is only an alternative embodiment of the system brightness, and the embodiment of the present invention does not limit the specific system brightness.
Because the system brightness is an adjustable object on the UI, and the actual brightness value is the actual display brightness of the display screen, the embodiment of the invention can pre-establish the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value, and the preset actual brightness value corresponding to each preset system brightness can be recorded in the mapping relation, so that the system brightness can be used as the basis of the system brightness corresponding to the target actual brightness value.
Optionally, the system brightness level is a level B at which the entire brightness range on the user display interface is adjustable. The screen brightness refers to the average value M of the screen brightness at four corners of the display screen. Therefore, a mapping relation between the system brightness level and the display screen brightness value can be established.
In an optional embodiment of the present invention, the process of establishing the mapping relationship between the system brightness level and the display screen brightness value may specifically include: before the display screen leaves a factory, acquiring the actual brightness value of the display screen aiming at each preset system brightness level; and establishing a mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value according to the preset system brightness level and the corresponding acquisition result. Before the display screen leaves the factory, the display screen is not used, namely, the display screens of the same model have no individual difference, so that the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value can be established and stored under the condition. Alternatively, it may be stored in the server, or in the memory of the display screen. It should be noted that display screens of the same model may share a uniform mapping relationship, where the preset actual brightness value in the mapping relationship may be an acquisition result of one display screen or an average value of acquisition results of multiple display screens.
In practical application, step 102 may read the current system brightness of the display screen and the mapping relationship from the storage device, traverse the preset system brightness in the mapping relationship, match the current preset system brightness with the current system brightness, if the matching is successful, take the preset actual brightness value corresponding to the current preset system brightness as the target actual brightness value, if the matching is unsuccessful, take the next preset system brightness in the mapping relationship as the current preset system brightness, and re-match the current preset system brightness with the current system brightness. It is understood that the search process of step 102 is not limited by the embodiments of the present invention.
And 103, when the actual brightness value is not consistent with the target actual brightness value, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value.
In the embodiment of the present invention, after the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness is obtained in step 102, the target actual brightness value may be compared with the actual brightness value acquired in step 101, and when the target actual brightness value and the actual brightness value are not consistent, the brightness of the display screen may be adjusted based on the driving current of the LED light string until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value.
In an optional embodiment of the present invention, the step 103 of adjusting the brightness of the display screen may include:
when the actual brightness value is larger than the target actual brightness value, reducing the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value; for example, the value of the driving current can be reduced by the backlight driving chip, and the brightness of the backlight source can be reduced, so that the display brightness of the LCD is reduced. Or
And when the actual brightness value is smaller than the target actual brightness value, increasing the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value. For example, the value of the driving current can be increased by the backlight driving chip, so that the brightness of the backlight source can be increased, and the display brightness of the LCD can be increased.
In practical applications, in order to ensure that the final actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value, after each adjustment, step 101 and step 102 may be executed again, the actual brightness value output by the step 101 and the step 102 are compared with the target actual brightness value, and step 103 is continuously executed when the actual brightness value output by the step and the target actual brightness value are inconsistent, that is, step 101, step 102, and step 103 in the embodiment of the present invention may be a circular execution process.
In summary, the method for controlling display brightness according to the embodiment of the present invention may adjust the brightness of the display screen when the actual brightness value of the display screen is not consistent with the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness, until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value; because the target actual brightness value corresponding to the system brightness is obtained according to the mapping relation between the preset system brightness and the preset actual brightness value which is established in advance, for the display screens of the same model, each preset system brightness in the mapping relation can have a uniform preset actual brightness value, and therefore, the brightness adjustment performed under the condition that the actual brightness value is inconsistent with the target actual brightness value can provide a consistent actual brightness value through the display screens of the same model, and further the use experience of a user is improved.
Method embodiment two
Referring to fig. 4, a flowchart of a second embodiment of the method for controlling display brightness according to the present invention is shown, and is applied to a mobile terminal, and specifically includes the following steps:
step 401, collecting an actual brightness value of a display screen of the mobile terminal;
step 402, according to the system brightness of the display screen, searching in a mapping relation between preset system brightness and preset actual brightness values established in advance to obtain preset actual brightness values corresponding to the system brightness, and taking the preset actual brightness values as target actual brightness values;
step 403, when the actual brightness value is not consistent with the target actual brightness value, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the actual brightness value is consistent with the target actual brightness value;
this embodiment is an optional embodiment of the first method embodiment shown in fig. 1, and on the basis of the first method embodiment, the method may further include the following optional steps:
step 404, collecting the brightness value of the ambient light where the display screen is located;
step 405, when the difference between the brightness value of the ambient light and the actual brightness value exceeds the difference threshold, adjusting the brightness of the display screen until the difference between the brightness value of the ambient light and the actual brightness value does not exceed the difference threshold.
The embodiment of the invention can adjust the brightness of the display screen in real time when the ambient light changes, so as to ensure that the difference value between the brightness value of the ambient light and the actual brightness value is stable, and the display screen is not influenced by the ambient light as much as possible, thereby improving the precision of brightness adjustment. For example, the brightness of the display screen can be automatically increased when the ambient light ratio is stronger; when the ambient light is weak, the brightness of the display screen is automatically reduced.
In practical applications, a light sensor disposed outside the display screen may be used to collect a brightness value of ambient light of the display screen, the light sensor may be located on a front side of the mobile terminal screen (for example, on an upper side of the mobile terminal screen), and the light sensor may convert a collected light signal into an electrical signal. Optionally, the difference threshold may be determined by a user or a system, and the specific determination manner and the specific value of the difference threshold are not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
It should be noted that, for simplicity of description, the method embodiments are described as a series of acts or combination of acts, but those skilled in the art will recognize that the present invention is not limited by the illustrated order of acts, as some steps may occur in other orders or concurrently in accordance with the embodiments of the present invention. Further, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the embodiments described in the specification are presently preferred and that no particular act is required to implement the invention.
