Disclosed herein is a drum type washing machine including a driving motor generating a rotational force for rotating a rotary tub and a fixing bracket for fixing the driving motor to a water storage tub. Here, the housing of the driving motor is formed of a metal material, and the fixing bracket is formed of a resin material, thereby effectively dissipating heat generated by the driving motor while lightening the driving motor in weight to easily store and install the driving motor.

Technical Field
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a drum type washing machine in which a rotary tub receives a rotational force from a driving motor and rotates.
Background
Generally, a washing machine is an apparatus including a water storage tub (reservoir) storing water and a rotating tub (rotating tub) rotatably installed in the water storage tub. Here, the rotary tub, in which the laundry is received, is rotated within the water storage tub, thereby washing the laundry.
Recently, among the above-mentioned washing machines, there is a drum type washing machine in which a rotation shaft of a rotary tub is disposed in a substantially horizontal direction to allow laundry to be pulled up and dropped according to the rotation of the rotary tub, thereby washing the laundry due to the head thereof.
Further, among the above-described drum type washing machines, there are a direct connection drum type washing machine in which a rotation shaft of a driving motor is directly connected to a rear side of a rotary tub to directly transmit a rotation force of the driving motor to the rotary tub, and a belt drum type washing machine in which the rotary tub receives a rotation force generated by the driving motor and transmitted through a driving pulley (driving pulley), a driven pulley (driving pulley), and a belt and rotates.
In the belt drum type washing machine, a driving motor is fixed to a water storage tub, a driving pulley is installed at a driving shaft of the driving motor, and a driven pulley is installed at a rotating shaft of a rotary tub. In addition, the belt is wound around the driving pulley and the driven pulley and transmits the rotational force from the driving pulley to the driven pulley.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, it is an aspect of the present invention to provide a drum type washing machine capable of smoothly discharging heat generated in a driving motor and reducing the weight of the driving motor for easy storage and installation.
Additional aspects of the invention will be set forth in part in the description which follows, and in part will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the invention.
According to an aspect of the present invention, a drum type washing machine includes: a water storage tub containing water; a rotary tub rotatably installed in the water storage tub; a driving device generating a rotational force for rotating the rotary tub; and at least one fixing bracket for fixing the driving motor to the tub. Here, the driving means includes a driving motor generating a rotational force. Further, the driving motor includes a housing forming an appearance thereof. Further, the case is formed of a metal material. Further, the fixing bracket is formed of a resin material and fixed to the housing.
The fixing bracket may include: a motor fixing part fixed to the housing; a pair of water storage barrel fixing parts fixed to the water storage barrel; a pair of first frame parts connecting the motor fixing parts with the pair of water storage tub fixing parts, respectively; and a second frame portion interconnecting the pair of the tub fixing portions.
The fixing bracket may include a plurality of support ribs for reinforcing the strength thereof.
The plurality of support ribs may include a plurality of first support ribs providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the pair of the tub fixing parts and a plurality of second support ribs providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the second frame part.
The plurality of support ribs may further include a plurality of third support ribs formed in an X-shape and providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the second frame part.
The driving motor may include a stator, a rotor interacting with the stator and rotating, a driving shaft fixed to the rotor and rotating together with the rotor, and a pair of bearings rotatably supporting the driving shaft.
The housing may include: a bearing mounting portion in which the pair of bearings are mounted; a shaft mounting hole provided at one side of the housing, through which one end of the driving shaft passes and protrudes therefrom; and a bracket mounting groove having an annular shape and provided concavely outside the bearing mounting portion. Further, the fixing bracket may include a mounting hole in which the bearing mounting portion is mounted and an extension rib extending in a ring shape from a portion of the fixing bracket adjacent to the mounting hole and supporting a surface of the bearing mounting portion therein.
The drum type washing machine may further include a plurality of reinforcing ribs extending outward from the extending rib in a radial direction and spaced apart in a circumferential direction.
At least one step portion forming a step (stepped) in a ring shape around the bearing mounting portion may be provided at least one surface of the housing to which the fixing bracket is fixed.
The at least one step portion may include a plurality of step portions sequentially provided in a radial direction around the bearing mounting portion.
The fixing bracket may include a temporary fitting protrusion protruding from the motor fixing part toward the housing. Further, the housing may include a temporary fitting hole into which the temporary fitting protrusion is inserted.
The fixing bracket and the case may include first and second fastening holes provided at positions corresponding to each other, respectively, and the fastening member is fastened to the first and second fastening holes.
The temporary-fitting protrusion and the first fastening hole may be alternately provided in the circumferential direction. Further, the provisional fitting hole and the second fastening hole may be alternately provided in the circumferential direction.
The housing may include a first housing supporting one side of the stator and a second housing supporting the other side of the stator. Further, the fixing bracket may be fixed to the first housing. Further, the second housing may include a fixing portion fixed to the tub.
The housing may include a first housing supporting one side of the stator and the rotor and a second housing supporting the other side of the stator and the rotor. Further, the fixing bracket may include first and second fixing brackets installed in the first and second housings, respectively.
A drum type washing machine according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a tub containing water, a rotary tub rotatably mounted in the tub, a driving motor generating a rotational force for rotating the rotary tub, and at least one fixing bracket for fixing the driving motor to the tub.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a drum type washing machine according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As shown in fig. 1, a drum type washing machine according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a cabinet 10 forming an external appearance, a tub 20 installed in the cabinet 10 while being suspended to store water, and a tub 30 rotatably installed in the tub 20.
An inlet 10a is provided at the front of the case 10 to introduce laundry into the rotary tub 30. Through holes 20a and 30a corresponding to the inlet 10a are provided in front of the water storage tub 20 and the rotary tub 30, respectively. A door 11 is installed at the front of the case 10 to open or close the entrance 10 a.
A water supply device 40 for supplying water to the water storage tub is provided at an upper side of the case 10, and a drain device 50 for discharging washing water used for washing to the outside is provided at a lower side of the case 10.
The water supply device 40 includes: a water supply pipe 41 connected to an external water supply source; a water supply valve 42 provided at the water supply pipe 41 to open and close the water supply pipe 41; a detergent supply unit 43 mixing the water transferred through the water supply pipe 41 with a detergent; and a washing water supply pipe 44 connecting the detergent supply unit 43 with the tub 20 and guiding water and detergent to the tub 20.
The drain device 50 includes a drain pipe 51 connected to the bottom of the tub 20 and guiding the used washing water in the tub 20 to be discharged to the outside of the washing machine, and a drain pump 52 provided at the drain pipe 51 to allow the washing water to be discharged to the outside through the drain pipe 51.
The rotary tub 30 has a hollow cylindrical shape. A plurality of through holes 30b are provided in an outer circumferential surface of the rotary tub 30 to allow water to pass therethrough. The lifters 30c are provided on an inner circumferential surface of the rotary tub 30 while being spaced apart in a circumferential direction to lift the laundry in the rotary tub 30 upward. Further, a rotation shaft 31 receiving a rotation force and allowing the rotary tub 30 to rotate in the water storage tub 20 is coupled to a rear surface of the rotary tub 30. The rotation shaft 31 is rotatably installed at the rear surface of the water storage tub 20, and the rear end of the rotation shaft 31 passes through the rear surface of the water storage tub 20 and protrudes from the rear side of the water storage tub 20.
In addition, the drum type washing machine includes a driving device 60 generating power to rotate the rotary tub 30.
The drive device 60 includes: a driving motor 61 generating a rotational force; a capstan 62 mounted on a rear end of a drive shaft 613 of the drive motor 61, which will be described below; and a driven pulley 63 installed at a rear end of the rotation shaft 31 and receiving a rotational force from the driving pulley 61 through a belt 64.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the drive motor 61 includes: a stator 611; a rotor 612 rotatably installed in the stator 611 and rotating while interacting with the stator 611; and a driving shaft 613 installed at the center of the rotor 612 and rotating together with the rotor 612. The drive pulley 62 described above is mounted on the rear end of the drive shaft 613.
Further, the driving motor 61 includes housings 614F and 614S forming an external appearance of the driving motor 61 and supporting the stator 611, and a pair of bearings 615, the pair of bearings 615 being installed in the housings 614F and 614S, respectively, and rotatably supporting both sides of the driving shaft 613.
The housings 614F and 614S include a first housing 614F fixed to cover one side of the stator 611 and a second housing 614S fixed to cover the other side of the stator 611. A bearing mounting portion 614a having a hollow cylindrical shape and in which the above-described bearing 615 is mounted is provided in central portions of the first housing 614F and the second housing 614S. A shaft mounting hole 614b allowing the rear end of the driving shaft 613 to pass through the second housing 614S and protrude from the rear side thereof is provided at the center of the second housing 614S. Further, a bracket mounting groove 614c concavely formed in an annular shape outside the bearing mounting portion 614a is provided in the first housing 614F, and the fixing bracket 70 is mounted in the bracket mounting groove 614 c.
The driving motor 61 is mounted on the outer surface of the tub 20 and fixed to the outer surface of the tub 20. In order to fix the driving motor 61 to the water storage tub 20, the fixing bracket 70 is fixed to one side of the driving motor 61, and a fixing portion 614d integrally extending from the housing 614S is provided at the other side of the driving motor 61.
The fixing bracket 70 is fixed to the first housing 614F, and the fixing portion 614d integrally extends from the second housing 614S. Further, the first housing 614F and the second housing 614S are formed of a metal material, and the fixing bracket 70 is formed of a resin material.
Therefore, the dissipation of heat generated by the drive motor 61 is smoothly performed through the housings 614F and 614S formed of metal. Since the drive motor 61 can be stored when not coupled with the fixing bracket 70, it is easy to store the drive motor 61. Even if the fixing bracket 70 is fixed to the driving motor 61, since the fixing bracket 70 is formed of a relatively light-weight resin material rather than a metal, the driving motor 61 can be simply installed.
The fixing bracket 70 includes: a motor fixing portion 71 fixed to the first housing 614F; a pair of tub fixing parts 72 fixed to an outer surface of the tub 20; a pair of first frame portions 73 connecting the pair of tub fixing portions 72 with the motor fixing portion 71; and a second frame portion 74 connecting the two tub fixing portions 72 to each other.
The motor fixing portion 71 includes a mounting hole 71a into which the bearing mounting portion 614a provided in the first housing 614F is mounted to allow an outer circumferential surface of the bearing mounting portion 614a of the first housing 614F to be supported by an inner circumferential surface of the mounting hole 71 a. Further, the motor fixing portion 71 includes an extension rib 71b integrally extending in a ring shape from the fixing bracket 70 or a portion of the motor fixing portion 71 adjacent to the mounting hole 71a and into the bracket mounting groove 614c to support the outer surface of the bearing mounting portion 614a, and a plurality of reinforcing ribs 71c extending from the extension rib 71b in a radial direction and spaced apart in a circumferential direction. The motor fixing portion 71 including the extension rib 71b forms the mounting hole 71a to provide an effect of extending the length of the mounting hole 71 a. Accordingly, the bearing mounting portion 614a of the first housing 614F may be stably mounted into the mounting hole 71a formed by the motor fixing portion 71 including the extension rib 71b and supported by the mounting hole 71 a.
Further, a stepped portion 614e formed in an annular shape around the bearing mounting portion 614a is provided at one surface of the first housing 614F fixed with the motor fixing portion 71 of the fixing bracket 70.
The two tub fixing parts 72 include fastening holes 72a to which the fastening members are fixed, respectively. Further, although not shown in the drawings, buffering members may be installed at the fastening holes 72a in the two tub fixing parts 72, respectively, for reducing transmission of vibration generated during operation of the drum type washing machine.
The first frame portion 73 shown in fig. 4 is formed to have a thickness gradually decreasing from the tub fixing portion 72 to the motor fixing portion 71. The second frame portion 74 is formed in a plate shape bent toward the motor fixing portion 71.
Further, the fixing bracket 70 includes support ribs 75, 76, and 77, and the support ribs 75, 76, and 77 allow the above-described components of the fixing bracket 70 to be supported to each other to improve the strength of the fixing bracket 70. The support ribs 75, 76, and 77 include a plurality of first support ribs 75, a plurality of second support ribs 76, and a plurality of third support ribs 77, the plurality of first support ribs 75 being provided in a substantially triangular space formed between the first frame portion 73 and the second frame portion 74 and providing support in a space between the motor fixing portion 71 and the pair of tub fixing portions 72, the plurality of second support ribs 76 providing support in a space between the motor fixing portion 71 and the second frame portion 74, and the plurality of third support ribs 77 having an X shape and providing support in a space between the motor fixing portion 71 and the second frame portion 74.
Further, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, a plurality of temporary fitting protrusions 71d protruding toward the first housing 614F are provided at the motor fixing portion 71, and a plurality of temporary fitting holes 614F are provided in the first housing 614F, the plurality of temporary fitting holes 614F being provided at positions corresponding to the plurality of temporary fitting protrusions 71d to allow the plurality of temporary fitting protrusions 71d to be inserted thereinto, respectively.
Further, first and second fastening holes 71e and 614g are provided at positions corresponding to each other in the motor fixing portion 71 and the first case 614F, respectively, to allow the motor fixing portion 71 of the fixing bracket 70 to be fixed to the first case 614F using fastening members.
Accordingly, the fixing bracket 70 is temporarily assembled with the first case 614F by inserting the temporary-assembly protrusions 71d into the temporary-assembly holes 614F and then fastening members are fastened to the first and second fastening holes 71e and 614g, thereby fixing the fixing bracket 70 to the first case 614F.
In this embodiment, the provisional fitting projections 71d and the first fastening holes 71e are alternately provided at the motor fixing portion 71 in the circumferential direction, and the provisional fitting holes 614F and the second fastening holes 614g are alternately provided in the first housing 614F in the circumferential direction.
In this embodiment, although one step portion 614e is shown as being provided, this is merely an example and not a limitation thereof. In another embodiment shown in fig. 5, in the driving motor 61', a plurality of step portions 614e may be sequentially formed outside in a radial direction around the bearing mounting portion 614 a.
Further, in this embodiment, one side of the driving motor 61' is fixed to the water storage tub 20 by the fixing bracket 70 coupled with the first housing 614F, and the other side thereof is coupled with the water storage tub 20 by the fixing portion 614d integrally provided at the second housing 614S, but this is not limited thereto. As another embodiment shown in fig. 6, a first fixing bracket 70A is coupled with a first housing 614F 'of the driving motor 61 ″, and a second fixing bracket 70B may be fixed to a second housing 614S' to allow the driving motor 61 ″ to be fixed to the water storage tub 20 through the first and second fixing brackets 70A and 70B.
As is apparent from the above description, since the housing of the driving motor is formed of metal and the fixing bracket is formed of a resin material, the dissipation of heat generated by the driving motor can be easily performed, and since the weight of the driving motor is greatly reduced since the fixing bracket is formed of a resin material, it can be easily stored and mounted.
Although a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the claims and their equivalents.

Claims (15)

1. A drum type washing machine comprising:
a water storage tub containing water;
a rotary tub rotatably installed in the water storage tub;
a driving means for generating a rotational force for rotating the rotary tub, wherein the driving means includes a driving motor for generating the rotational force; and
at least one fixing bracket for fixing the driving motor to the tub,
wherein the driving motor includes:
a stator;
for forming a housing of the exterior thereof, and
wherein the housing is formed of a metal material and includes a first housing supporting one side of the stator and a second housing supporting the other side of the stator,
wherein the fixing bracket is formed of a resin material and fixed to the housing,
wherein the housing includes a bearing mounting portion for mounting a bearing of the drive motor, and
wherein the fixing bracket includes a motor fixing portion fixed to the housing, the motor fixing portion including a mounting hole in which the bearing mounting portion is mounted.
2. A drum type washing machine according to claim 1, wherein the fixing bracket further comprises:
a pair of tub fixing parts fixed to the tub;
a pair of first frame portions connecting the motor fixing portions with the pair of water storage tub fixing portions, respectively; and
a second frame portion interconnecting the pair of water bucket fixing portions.
3. A drum type washing machine according to claim 2, wherein the fixing bracket includes a plurality of support ribs for reinforcing the strength thereof.
4. A drum type washing machine according to claim 3, wherein the plurality of support ribs include a plurality of first support ribs providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the pair of water storage tub fixing parts and a plurality of second support ribs providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the second frame part.
5. A drum type washing machine according to claim 4, wherein the plurality of support ribs further includes a plurality of third support ribs formed in an X shape and providing support in a space between the motor fixing part and the second frame part.
6. A drum type washing machine according to claim 1, wherein the driving motor further comprises:
a rotor interacting with the stator and rotating;
a drive shaft fixed to the rotor and rotating together with the rotor; and
a pair of bearings rotatably supporting the driving shaft and installed in the bearing mounting portion.
7. A drum type washing machine according to claim 6, wherein the casing includes:
a shaft mounting hole provided at one side of the housing, through which one end of the driving shaft passes and protrudes therefrom; and
a bracket mounting groove having an annular shape, provided concavely outside the bearing mounting portion, and,
wherein the motor fixing part of the fixing bracket further comprises:
an extension rib extending in a ring shape from a portion of the fixing bracket adjacent to the mounting hole and supporting a surface of the bearing mounting portion therein.
8. A drum type washing machine according to claim 7, further comprising a plurality of reinforcing ribs extending outward in a radial direction from the extended rib and spaced apart in a circumferential direction.
9. A drum type washing machine according to claim 7, wherein at least one stepped portion forming a step in a ring shape around the bearing mounting portion is provided at one surface of the casing to which the fixing bracket is fixed.
10. A drum type washing machine according to claim 9, wherein the at least one stepped portion includes a plurality of stepped portions sequentially provided in a radial direction around the bearing mounting portion.
11. A drum type washing machine according to claim 2, wherein the fixing bracket includes a temporary fitting protrusion protruding from the motor fixing part toward the cabinet, and
the housing includes a temporary fitting hole into which the temporary fitting protrusion is inserted.
12. A drum type washing machine according to claim 11, wherein the fixing bracket and the case respectively include first and second fastening holes provided at positions corresponding to each other, to which fastening members are fastened.
13. A drum type washing machine according to claim 12, wherein the provisional fitting protrusion and the first fastening hole are alternately provided in a circumferential direction, and
the provisional fitting hole and the second fastening hole are alternately provided in the circumferential direction.
14. A drum type washing machine according to claim 1, wherein the fixing bracket is fixed to the first casing, and the second casing includes a fixing portion fixed to the water storage tub.
15. A drum type washing machine according to claim 1, wherein the first casing and the second casing support a rotor of the driving motor, and
wherein the at least one fixing bracket includes first and second fixing brackets installed in the first and second housings, respectively.
