Detailed Description
Now, an embodiment of a seatbelt apparatus for a vehicle according to the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1 and 2.
For example, the vehicle to which the seatbelt apparatus of the vehicle according to the present invention is applied is a pick-up truck including a frame including a front seat and a rear seat at a lower portion of a vehicle body, and including a front door and a rear door on respective sides of the vehicle body, with a center pillar located between the front door and the rear door.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a mounting structure of a main portion of a three-point seatbelt apparatus of a front seat provided in a vehicle, that is, a retractor 10 and a seatbelt pretensioner 20 provided at a lower portion of a center pillar (pillar member) 2 as a vehicle body member. The trim member covering the vehicle body member is omitted here for convenience.
As shown in fig. 1, the center pillar 2 includes a center pillar outer 2a and a center pillar inner 2b welded together, and a retractor 10 is accommodated in the center pillar 2 from a lower opening 3 of the center pillar inner 2b and fixed to the center pillar inner 2b by bolts 4, 5.
The retractor 10 and the seatbelt pretensioner 20 are linked by the seatbelt 12, which enables the seatbelt 12 to restrain a passenger seated in a front seat to the front seat. The details of the basic functions of the seatbelt apparatus of the vehicle and the construction of the retractor 10 are known, and the description thereof will be omitted herein.
The vehicle includes a frame at a lower portion of a vehicle body and thus does not include a beam member at a lower portion of a side of the vehicle body, and as shown in fig. 1, a center pillar 2 is welded directly to a floor panel (floor member) 6 at a lower end thereof. Thus, for a vehicle body that does not include a beam member, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 cannot be fixed to the beam member having high rigidity as conventionally.
Thus, in the seatbelt apparatus of the vehicle according to the present invention, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is fixed to the floor panel 6. Now, the construction of the seatbelt pretensioner 20 and the mounting structure of the seatbelt pretensioner 20 to the floor panel 6 will be described.
The seatbelt pretensioner 20 is configured as a kind of explosion type device that is activated to pull in the seatbelt 12 from the front end side thereof when a predetermined or more impact force is applied.
Specifically, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 includes: an elongated cylinder 22; a piston and a gas generating agent (actuating member) such as gunpowder (both not shown) accommodated in the cylinder 22; an ignition portion (actuating member) 24 that ignites the gas generating agent; a plate-like frame portion (fixing portion) 26 provided to project forward from one end of the cylinder 22 and having a fixing hole 27 at the center (see fig. 2); a wire insertion channel 28 formed around substantially half of the fixing hole 27 in the frame portion 26; and a wire member 30 displaceably inserted through the wire insertion channel 28. One end of the wire member 30 is coupled to the piston in the cylinder 22, and the other end of the wire member 30 is connected to the front end of the seat belt 12 via a belt connector 32. The wire member 30 and the strap connector 32 are covered by a cover member 34.
A seatbelt pretensioner mounting bracket (hereinafter simply referred to as a mounting bracket) 40 located near the center pillar 2 to mount the seatbelt pretensioner 20 to the floor panel 6 is connected to the floor panel 6 by a bolt 50. Thus, the anchor portion is configured to include the mounting bracket 40 that fixes the seatbelt pretensioner 20 to the floor 6.
As shown in fig. 2, the mounting bracket 40 is bent in an L-shape, and includes a bottom surface 41 having an outer surface abutting against the floor panel 6 and a rising surface 42 having an outer surface facing the center pillar 2. The mounting bracket 40 is configured such that the bottom surface 41 has a hat-shaped cross section and has a recess 43 bored with a through hole 44 at the center, and the rising surface 42 has a through hole 45 at the center thereof for attaching the seatbelt pretensioner 20, and the rising surface 42 has a weld nut 46 on the outer surface around the through hole 45.
As shown in fig. 2, a through hole 7 is drilled in the floor panel 6, and a reinforcement portion 8 thicker than the floor panel 6 is welded as a reinforcement member to the rear surface of the floor panel 6 such that a through hole 9 is aligned with the through hole 7. Then, the weld nut 9a is disposed around the through hole 9 in the reinforcing portion 8.
Thus, the mounting bracket 40 is connected to the floor panel 6 with the bolts 50 screwed into the weld nuts 9a through the through holes 44 and the through holes 7, 9.
In the seatbelt pretensioner 20 configured as described above, the cylinder 22 is disposed along the center pillar 2 substantially perpendicularly to the floor 6, and the wire member 30 led out from the end of the wire insertion passage 28 has a direction extending toward the front and obliquely upward of the vehicle. The bolt 60 is screwed into the weld nut 46 through the fixing hole 27 in the frame portion 26, the spacer 62, and the through hole 45 in the mounting bracket 40, and the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is attached to the mounting bracket 40 with the bolt 60.
In this way, even for a vehicle body that does not include a beam member, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is firmly fastened to the floor panel 6 via the mounting bracket 40.
Thus, even if the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is fixed to the floor panel 6, when an impact force of a predetermined amount or more is applied to the vehicle body due to a collision or the like, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 causes the cylinder 22 to generate gas, and the expansion of the gas displaces the piston. The displacement of the piston is transmitted to the seat belt 12 via the wire member 30 and the belt connector 32 to pull in the seat belt 12. Thus, the passenger sitting on the front seat is restrained to the front seat by the seat belt 12.
As described above, according to the seatbelt apparatus of the vehicle of the present invention, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is fixed to the floor panel 6 via the mounting bracket 40, so that the seatbelt pretensioner 20 can be reliably fixed even to the vehicle body that does not include the beam member.
In particular, the anchor portion includes a mounting bracket 40 so that the seatbelt pretensioner 20 can be freely fixed to the mounting bracket 6 in a desired orientation via the mounting bracket 40.
In this case, the mounting bracket 40 is located near the center pillar 2 and connected to the floor panel 6, and the cylinder 22 of the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is disposed along the center pillar 2 substantially perpendicular to the floor panel 6. This prevents the cylinder 22 and the seatbelt pretensioner 20 from interfering with the passenger as the passenger enters and exits the vehicle.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications may be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the three-point seatbelt apparatus of the front seat has been taken as an example, but the seatbelt apparatus is not limited to the apparatus of the front seat, but may be an apparatus of the rear seat. Further, the seatbelt apparatus is not limited to the three-point seatbelt apparatus, and may be a two-point seatbelt apparatus or a four-point seatbelt apparatus.
In this embodiment, a pick-up truck including a front seat and a rear seat has been taken as an example, but is not limited thereto. For example, a vehicle having a retractor 10 housed in a rear pillar without a rear seat may be applied as long as the vehicle does not include a beam member. Even in this case, as described above, the seatbelt pretensioner 20 is fixed to the floor in the vicinity of the rear pillar, thereby achieving the same advantages as described above.
