In other words, the number of the display devices of the present invention can be determined according to the actual application. In this embodiment, the display devices 12a-12e are projectors. However, in another embodiment, the display devices 12a-12e may be televisions or other display devices, not limited to projectors. In other words, the display device of the present invention can be a television, a projector or other display device, depending on the actual application.
As shown in fig. 2, the remote controller 10 includes a first processing unit 100, an input unit 102, a first wireless communication unit 104, and a memory unit 106, wherein the first processing unit 100 is electrically connected to the input unit 102, the first wireless communication unit 104, and the memory unit 106. In practical applications, the first processing unit 100 may be a processor or a controller with signal processing function; the input unit 102 may be a keyboard, a touch panel, or a combination thereof, which is composed of a plurality of keys; the memory unit 106 may be a memory or other data storage device. Generally, the remote controller 10 is further provided with software and hardware components necessary for operation, such as a power supply, an application program, an antenna, a circuit board, etc., depending on the actual application.
In this embodiment, the input unit 102 includes a broadcast request key 1020, a plurality of input keys 1022 and a plurality of function keys 1024, wherein the input keys 1022 may include letter keys, number keys, symbol keys and/or other input keys, and the function keys may include volume adjustment keys, direction keys, enter keys and/or other function keys. It should be noted that the number and types of the input keys 1022 and the function keys 1024 can be determined according to the actual application. In addition, the application program required by the operation of the remote controller 10 is stored in the memory unit 106.
As shown in fig. 2, each of the display devices 12a-12e includes a second processing unit 120, a display unit 122, a second wireless communication unit 124, and a memory unit 126, wherein the second processing unit 120 is electrically connected to the display unit 122, the second wireless communication unit 124, and the memory unit 126. In practical applications, the second processing unit 120 may be a processor or a controller with signal processing function; the memory unit 126 may be a memory or other data storage device. Generally, each of the display devices 12a-12e is further provided with software and hardware components necessary for operation, such as a power supply, an application program, an antenna, a circuit board, an audio/video input port, a speaker, etc., depending on the actual application. When the display devices 12a-12e are projectors, the display unit 122 can be an optical projection module; when the display devices 12a-12e are televisions, the display unit 122 may be a display panel. In addition, applications required for the operation of the display devices 12a-12e are stored in the memory unit 126.
The first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 can form wireless communication, so that the remote controller 10 can transmit signals to the display devices 12a-12e or receive signals from the display devices 12a-12 e. In addition, each of the display devices 12a-12e has an ID code ID recorded in the second wireless communication unit 124. For example, when the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 conform to the Bluetooth communication protocol, the ID code ID may be a Bluetooth device address (Bluetooth device address); when the first Wireless communication unit 104 and the second Wireless communication unit 124 conform to a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) communication protocol, the ID code ID may be a Media Access Control address (MAC address).
When the user wants to match the remote controller 10 with at least one of the display devices 12a-12e, the user may first activate the broadcast request key 1020 of the remote controller 10. When the broadcast request key 1020 of the remote controller 10 is activated, the first processing unit 100 of the remote controller 10 sends a broadcast request signal to each of the display devices 12a-12e via the first wireless communication unit 104. When the second processing unit 120 of each of the display devices 12a-12e receives the broadcast request signal via the second wireless communication unit 124, the second processing unit 120 of each of the display devices 12a-12e controls the display unit 122 to display the ID code. It should be noted that, if the second processing unit 120 of the display device 12a-12e is in the off state before receiving the broadcast request signal, the broadcast request signal may first activate the second wireless communication unit 124 of the display device 12a-12e, and then request the display device 12a-12e to display its own ID. As shown in fig. 1, the identification code ID of the display device 12a is represented by "001", the identification code ID of the display device 12b is represented by "002", the identification code ID of the display device 12c is represented by "003", the identification code ID of the display device 12d is represented by "004", and the identification code ID of the display device 12e is represented by "005". At this time, the user can directly know the ID code ID corresponding to each display device in the display devices 12a-12e from the display screen displayed by each display device in the display devices 12a-12 e. It should be noted that, since the display devices 12a to 12e shown in fig. 1 are exemplified by projectors, the display devices 12a to 12e shown in fig. 1 project the respective ID codes ID on a wall surface or other projection planes for users to see.
Then, the user can operate the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input the ID code ID of at least one of the display devices 12a-12 e. When the input key 1022 of the remote controller 10 is operated to input the ID code ID of at least one of the display devices 12a-12e, the remote controller 10 is paired with at least one of the display devices 12a-12 e. For example, if the user wants to pair the remote controller 10 with the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12d, the user can operate the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input "001", "003", and "004". When the user inputs "001", "003", and "004" by operating the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10, the remote controller 10 is paired with the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12 d. In this embodiment, after the user operates the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input "001", "003", and "004", the user presses the confirmation key to complete the pairing between the remote controller 10 and the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12 d. In another embodiment, the user may wait for a predetermined time (e.g., three seconds, five seconds, etc.) after inputting "001", "003", and "004" by operating the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10, so that the remote controller 10 and the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12d are automatically paired.
Therefore, when the input key 1022 of the remote controller 10 is operated to input the identification codes of M display devices among the N display devices, the remote controller 10 will complete the pairing with the M display devices, where M is a positive integer less than or equal to N. For the above embodiments, N is equal to 5 and M is equal to 3.
It should be noted that the ID displayed on the display devices 12a-12e can be the last few codes (e.g., last two codes, last three codes, etc.) of the bluetooth device address or the mac address, so that the user can quickly and conveniently operate the input keys 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input the ID of at least one of the display devices 12a-12 e. Of course, the ID code ID displayed by the display devices 12a-12e may also be the complete Bluetooth device address or MAC address. In addition, the ID codes displayed by the display devices 12a-12e may be decimal or hexadecimal, depending on the application.
After the remote controller 10 and the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12d are paired, the remote controller 10 can control the display devices 12a, 12c, and 12d simultaneously via the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124. For example, the user can operate the function keys 1024 of the remote controller 10 to control the display devices 12a, 12c, 12d to adjust the volume, zoom the screen, etc. Since the remote controller 10 is not paired with the display devices 12b and 12e, the communication between the first wireless communication unit 104 of the remote controller 10 and the second wireless communication units 124 of the display devices 12b and 12e is disconnected, and at this time, the second wireless communication units 124 of the display devices 12b and 12e will not receive the control signal sent by the first wireless communication unit 104 of the remote controller 10, so that the display devices 12b and 12e will not be controlled by the remote controller 10.
When the user wants to re-match the remote controller 10 with at least one of the display devices 12a-12e, the user can activate the broadcast request key 1020 of the remote controller 10 again. At this time, the previous pairing relationship is reset. Then, the user can re-pair the remote controller 10 with at least one of the display devices 12a-12e according to the above-mentioned manner. In addition, after the remote controller 10 is paired with at least one of the display devices 12a-12e, the display devices 12a-12e can remove the ID codes displayed thereon.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a functional block diagram of a remote controller 20 and a display device 22 according to another embodiment of the invention. The main difference between the remote control 20 and the remote control 10 is that the remote control 20 further includes a third wireless communication unit 200, wherein the first processing unit 100 is electrically connected to the third wireless communication unit 200. In addition, the main difference between the display device 22 and the display devices 12a-12e is that the display device 22 further includes a fourth wireless communication unit 220, wherein the second processing unit 120 is electrically connected to the fourth wireless communication unit 220. In this embodiment, the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220 can perform wireless communication. In addition, the communication protocols of the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 are different from the communication protocols of the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220. For example, if the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 conform to the bluetooth protocol, the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220 may conform to the wlan protocol or the ir protocol; if the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 conform to the wlan protocol, the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220 may conform to the bluetooth protocol or the infrared protocol; and so on. It should be noted that the same elements in fig. 3 and fig. 2 have the same functions and principles, and are not described herein again.
After the remote control 20 and the display device 22 are paired in the above manner, the remote control 20 can control the display device 22 through the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220. In other words, in this embodiment, the remote controller 20 and the display device 22 can be paired with each other through the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124, and then the functions operated by the user can be executed through the third wireless communication unit 200 and the fourth wireless communication unit 220. The present invention may replace the display devices 12a-12e described above with the display device 22.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a functional block diagram of the remote controller 10 and the display device 32 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The main difference between the display device 32 and the display devices 12a-12e is that the memory unit 126 of the display device 32 stores a complete function table 320 and a dummy function table 322, and the ID code ID is stored in the memory unit 126. In this embodiment, the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 conform to the infrared communication protocol, and the ID code ID may be a serial number of the display device 32. The serial number is a unique number assigned to the display device 32 by the manufacturer when the display device 32 is shipped from the factory. In addition, the full function table 320 records scan codes corresponding to the broadcast request key 1020 and the plurality of remote control functions, and the dummy function table 322 records scan codes corresponding to the broadcast request key 1020. In other words, the fields of the scan codes of the dummy function table 322 are blank (i.e., undefined) except the scan code of the broadcast request key 1020.
The present invention may replace the display devices 12a-12e described above with a display device 32. The pairing of the remote controller 10 and the display device 32 is substantially the same as the pairing of the remote controller 10 and the display devices 12a-12e, and will not be described herein again. In this embodiment, the display device that has been paired with the remote controller 10 responds to the control signal sent by the remote controller 10 according to the complete function table 320, and the display device that has not been paired with the remote controller 10 responds to the control signal sent by the remote controller 10 according to the dummy function table. Therefore, when the display device 32 and the remote controller 10 are matched, the remote controller 10 can control the display device 32 to execute the function operated by the user through the first wireless communication unit 104 and the second wireless communication unit 124 according to the complete function table 320. On the other hand, when the display device 32 is not paired with the remote controller 10, the display device 32 will not execute any function even if the display device 32 receives the control signal from the remote controller 10 because the fields of the other scan codes in the dummy function table 322 are blank.
Referring to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a functional block diagram of a remote controller 40 and display devices 12a-12e according to another embodiment of the present invention. The main difference between the remote controller 40 and the remote controller 10 is that the input unit 102 of the remote controller 40 further includes at least one group setting key. In this embodiment, the input unit 102 of the remote controller 40 includes two group setting keys 400, 402. It should be noted that the number of the group setting keys may be determined according to practical applications, and is not limited to two. The group setting keys 400 and 402 are used to set the display device paired with the remote controller 10.
For example, the user can set the display device 12a to be paired with the remote controller 10 by using the group setting key 400 according to the above-mentioned pairing method, and set the display devices 12b, 12c, 12d to be paired with the remote controller 10 by using the group setting key 402 according to the above-mentioned pairing method. When the user wants to control the display device 12a with the remote controller 10, the user only needs to trigger the group setting key 400, and the above-mentioned pairing operation does not need to be executed again. Similarly, when the user wants to control the display devices 12b, 12c, and 12d by using the remote controller 10, the user only needs to trigger the group setting key 402, and the above pairing operation is not required to be performed again.
Taking fig. 1 as an example, after the user operates the input key 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input "001", the user presses the group setting key 400 to complete the pairing between the remote controller 10 and the display device 12 a. In another embodiment, the user may press the group setting key 400 first, operate the input key 1022 of the remote controller 10 to input "001", and wait for a predetermined time (e.g., three seconds, five seconds, etc.) to automatically pair the remote controller 10 and the display device 12 a. The operation of the group setting key 402 is the same as that of the group setting key 400, and will not be described herein.
When the group setting key 400 is triggered, the display device 12a paired with the remote controller 10 may emit a sound, a light and/or a projection to allow the user to confirm the display device 12a to be controlled. Similarly, when the group setting key 402 is triggered, the display devices 12b, 12c, 12d paired with the remote controller 10 may emit sound, light and/or projection to allow the user to identify the display device 12b, 12c, 12d to be controlled.
Referring to fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of a wireless pairing system 1' according to another embodiment of the invention. The wireless pairing system 1 'is mainly different from the wireless pairing system 1 described above in that the display devices 12a to 12e of the wireless pairing system 1' are televisions. Therefore, in this embodiment, when the broadcast request key 1020 of the remote controller 10 is triggered, the display devices 12a-12e directly display the identification code ID on the display unit 122 thereof.
In summary, in the wireless pairing system provided in the embodiments of the present invention, when a user wants to pair the remote controller and the display device, the user may first trigger the broadcast request key of the remote controller to send a broadcast request signal to the display device, and when the display device receives the broadcast request signal, the display unit of the display device may display the identity code, and at this time, the user may operate the input key of the remote controller to input the identity code of the display device, so that the remote controller and the display device are paired. Therefore, the wireless pairing system can quickly and conveniently complete pairing of the remote controller and the display device.
The present invention has been described in relation to the above embodiments, which are only exemplary of the implementation of the present invention. It should be noted that the disclosed embodiments do not limit the scope of the invention. Rather, it is intended that all such modifications and variations be included within the spirit and scope of this invention.
