技术领域

背景技术
在整个说明书中对现有技术的任何讨论在任何情况下不应被视作是承认这种现有技术是公知的或形成本领域公知常识的一部分。
世界上的大量人口生活在严重短缺卫生饮用水的发展中国家和欠发达国家。已开发出各种类型的水净化设备。它们中的一些基于重力流动,这特别适用于生活在农村地区或生活在没有公共水净化系统且人们必须直接依赖地面和/或地下水源的地方的人们,所述水源例如为井、管井、池塘和河流。这些重力流动水净化系统的工作无需电力和自来水。其它类型的水净化系统使用各种技术,例如紫外线、反渗透以确保水的微生物纯度。

药盒包括与垂直通道和出口流体连通的隔室。隔室优选在与垂直通道同轴的位置。隔室包括气密盖以关闭该隔室的口部。所述盖保持隔室为气密的且包括外壳,所述外壳适于包括至少一片有益试剂片剂。气密盖通过空气柱提供了将隔室中的水与片剂的暴露面分开,以使隔室内的水不浸没有益试剂片剂并优选仅使来自垂直通道的水的射流能够接触片剂的暴露面,以使水能够携带溶解的有益试剂。
在水净化过程开始,当没有水已经通过入口流入药盒中时,隔室充满空气。当药盒被整合到非储存型水净化设备中或直接被连接到不具有下游储存罐的水源时,通过入口进入药盒的水仅替换隔室内的空气柱的一部分,且由于隔室被气密盖所密封,在使用期间达到并保持了隔室内的空气柱和水之间的平衡。空气柱确保了在气密盖外壳内的有益试剂片剂不被淹没。优选将药盒整合到水净化设备或为药盒提供用于储存净化水的储存罐。当这种储存罐被提供在药盒下游时,优选通过提供在药盒入口处的阀来保持隔室内的空气柱,所述阀在根据储存罐内的水位启动时停止进入药盒的水流。从储存罐分配净化水降低了罐内的水位,这启动了入口阀使其开启并使水能够进入药盒。
气密盖:
药盒包括气密盖,所述气密盖包括适于包括至少一片有益试剂片剂的外壳。外壳优选包括固持装置,用于将片剂固持在外壳的最高点。固持装置优选为包封有益试剂片剂的聚合物套筒或有益试剂片剂置于其上的穿孔底板(baseplate)。
在本发明的一个实施方案中,固持装置优选为聚合物套筒且有益试剂片剂被包入在聚合物套筒中,以仅留片剂的一面暴露。聚合物套筒优选保护有益试剂片剂的三个面不被溶出到水中且留下一个面来暴露于水。聚合物套筒进一步优选提供对外壳内的片剂的支撑。如果有益试剂为基于卤素的生物杀伤剂材料,优选聚合物套筒由耐卤素材料制成,所述材料优选选自耐卤素材料例如硅、乙烯丙烯二烯单体(EPDM)以及六氟-聚丙烯和偏二氟乙烯的共聚物(来自Dupont的VitonTM)。特别优选的是,由于片剂优选以倒转或悬挂的位置被固持,聚合物套筒本质上是弹性的,使得有益试剂片剂在外壳中被良好地支撑。
在本发明的又一个实施方案中,固持装置优选为位于外壳开口处的穿孔底板,至少一片有益试剂片剂置于所述穿孔底板上。当存在两片或更多片有益试剂片剂时,它们优选一片在另一片上地堆叠。优选在安装在最上面的片剂上堆叠的可移动的支撑。可移动的支撑可为板、盘或片剂状的构件,最优选为片剂状的构件。可移动的支撑优选由对水和有益试剂片剂为惰性的材料制成。可选地,可移动的支撑可由任何材料制成并涂覆有惰性材料,使得其不与水和有益试剂片剂反应。可移动的支撑通常是鲜艳颜色的,例如为红色、蓝色或绿色。优选的是,外壳具有固定顶端和优选位于可移动的支撑和固定顶端之间的弹性构件。弹性构件可为弹簧或波纹管。随着片剂被消耗,置于在片剂顶部的可移动的支撑依靠重力下降。通过推压可移动的支撑板,弹性构件提供附加力以确保可移动的支撑随着片剂被消耗而下降。
可移动的支撑可优选具有插塞装置,其在外壳中的片剂被耗尽时塞住垂直通道的末端,并提供自动关闭机构。
有益试剂:
有益试剂优选为固体生物杀伤剂或膳食补充剂且优选为片剂形式。当存在多片的片剂时,配置它们使得它们在外壳中一个堆叠在另一个的顶部。
有益试剂片剂的组成优选包含小于95%的填料,更优选小于90%,且还更优选小于85%的填料。
优选的是,有益试剂片剂的组成的有益试剂与填料的比率为1∶10,更优选为1∶8,进一步优选为1∶6,且最优选为1∶4。
生物杀伤剂
有益试剂优选为生物杀伤剂,且更优选为基于卤素的生物杀伤剂。
生物杀伤剂优选选自二氯异氰脲酸钾、二氯异氰脲酸钠、三氯氰尿酸、氯化磷酸三钠、次氯酸钙、次氯酸锂、一氯胺、二氯胺、[(单三氯)-四(单钾二氯)]五异氰脲酸酯、1,3-二氯-5,5-二甲基乙内酰脲、二氯对甲苯磺酰胺(paratoluenesulfodichloroamide)、三氯三聚氰胺、N-氯胺、N-氯代琥珀酰亚胺、N,N′-二氯偶氮二碳酰胺、N-氯乙酰脲、N,N-二氯偶氮二碳酰胺、N-氯乙酰脲、N,N-二氯缩二脲(N,N-dichlorbiurile)、氯化双氰胺中的一种或多种。
本发明中用作片剂的最优选的生物杀伤剂为三氯氰尿酸。
膳食补充剂
当有益试剂为膳食补充剂时,其可选自维生素、矿物质、电解质、香味剂、营养素或它们的混合物中的一种或多种。膳食补充剂可源自化学来源或天然来源。通篇使用的词语膳食补充剂主要是指维生素、矿物质、电解质、香味剂或营养素。
膳食补充剂以固体形式提供且优选为片剂形式。片剂形状优选为圆形、正方形、长方形、六边形或椭圆形。主要横截面尺寸优选为1.0cm至5.0cm,更优选1.0cm至3.0cm。片剂厚度优选为1.0cm至10.0cm,更优选1.0cm至5.0cm。
根据本发明的一个高度优选的方面,维生素和矿物质的天然来源是余甘子(印度醋栗)提取物。
印度醋栗主要包括单宁、生物类黄酮、类胡萝卜素、生物碱、和酚类化合物、氨基酸和碳水化合物,其具有极长寿命和复原性能。合成维生素C不提供至关重要的营养素,如芸香苷和生物类黄酮。印度醋栗的价值在于其独有的单宁和类黄酮,其表现出非常强大的抗氧化剂性能。印度醋栗被认为是比维生素C更有效的抗氧化剂。印度醋栗中的维生素C占约45%至70%的抗氧化剂活性。没有关于印度醋栗的RDA水平。
本发明的发明人已确定的是,在2到50ppm之间且优选在5和10ppm之间的范围定量给料印度醋栗提取物是有益的,这是因为在超过10ppm的浓度下,经强化的水可能被略微着色。优选的是,我们以每升水推荐每日供给量(RDA)的10%至20%来定量给料维生素和矿物质。选择这些强化剂的剂量使得其不赋予水任何负面感官性质。
可选地,可在本文中使用市售来源的维生素C。也可以使用经封装的抗坏血酸和抗坏血酸的可食用盐。
膳食补充剂还可包括选自水溶性铁化合物、水分散性颗粒铁化合物或它们的混合物的铁。此外,本发明的铁化合物优选选自络合的铁化合物、螯合的铁化合物、封装的铁化合物、或它们的混合物。优选选择高度生物可利用的铁化合物以提供最大的健康益处。铁强化的水通常带有金属味道/回味。可以通过封装铁化合物来实现金属味道的消除。也可通过与合适的配体(其不允许铁在水中自由缔合)络合或螯合来将铁结合成稳定化合物来消除金属味道。优选的铁化合物形式还包括包封物(encapsulate)和络合物,优选其在水中的分散粒度足够小以致在溶液中几乎不可见。优选地,分散粒度为约100纳米(nm)或更小、更优选约80nm或更小。二价铁通常比三价铁更好地被人体利用。当配体与金属比为至少2∶1时,亚铁氨基酸螯合物特别适合作为高度生物可利用的形式。可用于本发明的高度生物可利用的食品级亚铁盐包括硫酸亚铁、富马酸亚铁、琥珀酸亚铁、葡萄糖酸亚铁、乳酸亚铁、酒石酸亚铁、柠檬酸亚铁、亚铁氨基酸螯合物以及这些亚铁盐的混合物。某些三价铁盐也能提供高度生物可利用的铁源。高度生物可利用的食品级三价铁盐是蔗糖铁、柠檬酸铁铵、柠檬酸铁、硫酸铁、三氯化铁、以及这些三价铁盐的混合物。本发明的特别适用于强化水的其它生物可利用的铁源包括某些铁-糖-羧酸盐复合物。在这些铁-糖-羧酸盐复合物中,羧酸盐为亚铁(优选的)或三价铁提供抗衡离子。铁的USRDA通常为10mg/6kg女性或男性至18mg/54-58kg女性,某种程度上取决于年龄。使用本发明的设备制备的铁强化的水通常含有至少约1ppm的铁化合物,足以递送大约每升水约10%的铁的USRDA,以计入可获自其它膳食来源的铁(假设可获得合理均衡的饮食)。
膳食补充剂还可以选自其它营养素,例如维生素C、维生素E、维生素A、烟酸、维生素B6、维生素B2、维生素D2、维生素B12、叶酸盐、锌、电解质(如钠、钾或镁的盐)和它们的混合物。对大多数健康的成年人而言,典型值通常为:维生素C(60mg)、维生素A(2000IU/天)、维生素B2(1.7mg)、烟酸(20mg)、维生素B6(2.0mg)、叶酸(0.2mg/天)、维生素D2(400IU/天)、维生素B12(0.001mg/天)、镁(300mg)、锌(11mg/天)和维生素E(30国际单位)。钠的充足摄入值通常为1.5g,对于钾而言通常为4.7g。
也可将市售的维生素A来源引入到有益试剂片剂中。例如,可例如以维生素A棕榈酸酯(棕榈酸视黄酯)、维生素A醋酸酯的形式和/或以β-胡萝卜素的形式提供维生素A。其可为油的形式,为微囊(beadlet)的形式或可被封装的。如本文所用的“维生素A”包括维生素A、β-胡萝卜素、棕榈酸视黄酯和乙酸视黄酯。
本文中可使用市售来源的维生素B2(核黄素)。用于引入水中的营养补充量的其它维生素包括但不限于,维生素B6和维生素B12、叶酸盐、烟酸和维生素D2(麦角钙化醇)和维生素E。维生素B12的优选的盐为5,6DNB氰钴胺(5,6DNBcyanocobalamide),且对于叶酸盐而言为叶酸。
钠盐可选自氯化钠、抗坏血酸钠、柠檬酸钠、焦磷酸铁钠、葡萄糖酸钠、磷酸钠、焦磷酸钠或其混合物。钾盐可选自氯化钾、葡萄糖酸钾、甘油磷酸钾、碘化钾或其混合物。镁盐可选自葡萄糖酸镁、磷酸镁、硫酸镁或其混合物。锌盐可选自氧化锌、葡萄糖酸锌、硫酸锌或其混合物。
优选地,有益试剂片剂提供了具有这些维生素、矿物质或电解质的USRDA或充足摄入值的10至20%的水。
根据该水产品所针对的消费者的营养需求,也可以将其它维生素、矿物质和电解质引入到水中。
有益试剂片剂中的其它成分
有益试剂片剂可任选地包含甜味剂。将此类甜味剂添加到水中以掩盖由矿物质或维生素造成的金属味道或回味。合适的颗粒状糖可为粒状或粉末状的,并可包括蔗糖、果糖、右旋糖、麦芽糖、玉米麦芽糊精、乳糖及其混合物。最优选的是蔗糖。也可以使用人工甜味剂。通常树胶、果胶和其它增稠剂与人工甜味剂一起使用。也可以使用糖和人工甜味剂的混合物。
所述有益试剂片剂可任选地包含调味剂。调味剂可以具有任何天然或合成制备的水果或植物香味剂,或具有植物香味剂与混合果汁(fruitjuiceblend)的混合物。合适的天然或人工水果香味剂包括柠檬、橙、葡萄柚、草莓、香蕉、梨、奇异果、葡萄、苹果、芒果、菠萝、百香果、覆盆子及其混合物。合适的植物香味剂包括肉豆蔻果核(Jamaica)、金盏花、菊花、茶、甘菊、姜、缬草、育亨宾树、啤酒花、圣草、人参、越桔、大米、红酒、芒果、牡丹、柠檬熏衣草、胡桃、龙胆(gentiam)、肉桂、芦荟、薄荷及其混合物。当存在时,调味剂为0.01wt%至10wt%,优选0.02wt%至8wt%。调味剂的实际量将取决于所用调味剂的类型和在经处理的水中所需的香味剂的量。最优选的调味剂是薄荷香味剂。
有益试剂片剂组合物优选包含填料。合适的填料包括钙和镁的微溶盐、天然树胶和多糖。填料的实例包括淀粉、氯化钙、碳酸钙、阿拉伯树胶、印度树胶、菊粉、羧甲基纤维素、乙烯基吡咯烷酮(vinylpyrollidone)-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物。
药盒在水净化设备中的使用:
优选在具有用于提供输入水的微生物纯度的反渗透或超过滤系统、基于紫外线的系统的水净化设备中使用药盒,在所述水净化设备中入口水压多至20psig。在反渗透或基于紫外线的水净化系统中对具有基于卤素的片剂的形式的有益试剂的药盒的使用确保了高水平的微生物纯度。根据本发明的药盒的入口还可直接连接到水龙头以确保杀死存在于输入水中的微生物。如果有益试剂是膳食补充剂片剂,优选将药盒入口连接到分配净化水的水龙头,且从药盒的出口离开的经处理的水将具有溶解在净化水中的已知量的膳食补充剂。
本发明的药盒还可被整合到储存型水净化设备中。当直接连接到水源时,药盒还可具有储存罐。当本发明的药盒被整合到储存型水净化设备中时或当药盒具有下游储存罐时,药盒的入口优选具有阀,以用于保持在隔室内的空气柱。在药盒下游的储存罐达到最佳水平时,阀优选关闭通过入口的水流,优选依据储存罐中的水位来启动阀的关闭。
还优选在重力进料水净化设备中使用本发明的药盒,所述水净化设备具有过滤单元,其用于将颗粒和可溶材料与输入水分离,和然后使输入水通过药盒(所述药盒中的有益试剂优选为生物杀伤剂片剂),并然后通过滞留室,以用于在通过清除装置从水净化系统离开之前在保留经生物杀伤剂处理的水预定的一段时间,所述清除装置适于将分配的生物杀伤剂与离开的水分离。如果有益试剂是膳食补充剂片剂,还优选将药盒入口连接到分配净化水的水龙头,且从药盒出口离开的经处理的水将具有溶解在净化水中的已知量的膳食补充剂。

实施例
实施例1:
采用如图1所示的药盒。药盒入口(1)连接到水罐的水龙头以提供水的连续供应。药盒的垂直通道(3)是圆柱形,其具有2mm的半径和12.56平方毫米的横截面面积。将由生物杀伤剂制成的有益试剂片剂(7)放置在气密盖(5)的外壳中,所述生物杀伤剂包括比率为70∶30的溴氯二甲基乙内酰脲(获自LonzaInc.,USA)和三氯氰尿酸(获自OccidentalChemicalsCorporation,Dallas,USA)。将片剂的三个侧面紧密地配装至由有机硅制成的聚合物套筒(8)中且放置在外壳(6)的最高位置处。
使来自水龙头的水能够在两个分开的实验中在20psig和2psig下进入药盒。在两个实验中均使2000升的水通过药盒,同时保持在20psig下约350ml/分钟的流量和在2psig下约120ml/分钟的流量。在通过每100升水之后,测量从药盒出口(2)收集的经处理的水中的氯水平,且数据呈现在表1中。
测定有效氯:
使用的材料-
a)碘化钾:将100gm的碘化钾添加到烧杯中并搅拌直至碘化钾完全溶于蒸馏水中。将溶液转移到1升的容量瓶中并使体积达到1升以提供10%(质量/体积)的水溶液。获得的溶液是无色的。
b)醋酸:由加入到1升的容量瓶中的60mL的冰醋酸制备6%(v/v)的醋酸水溶液,并用蒸馏水使体积达到到1升,并振摇以均匀混合。
c)硫代硫酸钠:0.001N标准化硫代硫酸钠(Na2S2O3)。
d)淀粉指示剂溶液:制备1.0g淀粉和5mL水的浆料。将浆料溶于95mL的沸水中,并冷却以制备淀粉指示剂溶液的1%(质量/体积)的水溶液。在不使用时冷冻该溶液并从制备起一周内使用。
步骤:
将25mL的样品水吸出且转移到碘瓶中。将10mL的醋酸和5mL的碘化钾添加到所述碘瓶中。将1到2mL的淀粉指示剂溶液添加到该溶液且溶液的颜色变为黑色。然后用硫代硫酸钠(0.001N)溶液将该溶液滴定至无色终点。记录滴定体积并用下式估算有效氯

Claims (9)
1.用于水净化设备的药盒,所述药盒包括:
(i)用于进料水的入口(1)和用于经处理的水的出口(2);
(ii)与入口(1)流体连通的垂直通道(3);
(iii)与垂直通道(3)和出口(2)流体连通的隔室(4);
(iv)关闭隔室(4)的口部的气密盖(5);
(v)所述盖包括外壳(6),所述外壳(6)适于包括至少一片有益试剂片剂(7);
其中所述隔室(4)在与垂直通道同轴的位置,且垂直通道朝向片剂(7)向上延伸,且垂直通道的末端与片剂在空间上分开,并由此在运行中,离开垂直通道末端的水触碰片剂的暴露面。
2.根据权利要求1所述的药盒,其中通过支撑装置使所述片剂的位置在外壳的最高点。
3.根据权利要求2所述的药盒,其中通过聚合物套筒(8)使所述片剂的位置在外壳中。
4.根据权利要求3所述的药盒,其中所述聚合物套筒是耐卤素的。
5.根据权利要求3或4所述的药盒,其中所述聚合物套筒是弹性的。
6.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的药盒,其中所述入口包括阀。
7.根据权利要求6所述的药盒,其中所述阀是机械阀或手动阀。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的药盒,其中所述有益试剂选自生物杀伤剂或膳食补充剂。
9.根据权利要求8所述的药盒,其中所述生物杀伤剂是基于卤素的化合物。
