Abstract

本发明总体上涉及地震成像,更具体而言涉及速度模型校正。
背景技术
地震调查用于表征(characterize)地下岩层(subsurfaceformation),且具体而言,用于定位和表征潜在的油气储层。地表处的一个或多个地震源产生地震信号,该地震信号通过地下传播,被地下的特征反射,并被传感器收集。原始数据一般是以传播时间和振幅为形式的,必须要对该原始数据加以处理以获得关于地下结构的信息。
通常,处理包括反演(inversion)所收集的时间信息以产生地下结构的速度模型。因为通常有令人满意地解释任何给定的时间数据集合的多个速度解,所以速度模型是否准确地描绘了地下结构并非总是已知的。在一些环境中,可能会有在其中速度是高度非均质的局部区域。该非均质性可能是由地下结构中存在的局部高或低的速度区域所造成的。
笼合物(clathrate)是一种物质,在其中由第一分子成分(主分子)以类似于晶体状的结构形成晶格结构(lattice structure),该第一分子成分捕获(trap)或笼住(encage)一种或多种其他分子成分(客分子)。在油气勘探和开发的领域中,目标笼合物通常是在其中烃气作为水分子主晶格中的客分子的笼合物。可以在相对低温和高压的环境中(包括例如深海沉积物和永久冻土区域)找到它们。
发明内容
本发明实施例的一方面包括一种分析地下区域的地震图像的方法,包括:获得地下区域的速度模型和地震图像;平滑所述速度模型以产生平滑速度模型;从所述平滑速度模型减去所述速度模型以建立异常速度模型;以及基于所述异常速度模型和所述地震图像建立混合异常速度模型。
本发明实施例的一方面包括一种系统,该系统包括图形用户界面、数据存储设备和处理器,该处理器被配置为执行以上方法。
本发明的实施例的一方面包括利用计算机可执行指令编写的计算机可读介质,该计算机可执行指令用于执行任何以上方法和/或用于控制任何以上系统。

具体实施方式
速度模型可以包括由所研究的地下中存在的各种因素所导致的异常。发明人开发出基于速度异常数据来表征地下状况和结构的工具。
笼合物沉积识别(identification)
在实施例中,速度异常可以用作识别笼合物沉积的方法的一部分。在偏泥土的沉淀物中,笼合物常常以低浓度广泛分布。不过,在偏砂的环境中,在有充足电荷的情况下,更容易形成浓度更高的笼合物。因为这些环境往往位于较浅的地下区域中,在该较浅的地下区域中垂直速度梯度往往由于挤压而较高,所以可能难以识别会指示高浓度笼合物的速度变化。发明人开发了一种分析速度异常场的方法以改善对于高速度材料的检测和定位,该高速度材料可以对应于有用的笼合物沉积,该高速度材料相比于海底沉积物(在该海底沉积物中可能存在高速度材料),其自身的速度往往较高。举例来说,在相应深度处的海洋沉积物的速度介于大约1700-2000m/s之间,而笼合物可能具有大约3000m/s的速度。
在实施例中,产生异常模型并将其覆盖(overlain)于地震图像上,以产生如图1所示的混合异常速度模型。在根据实施例的方法中,如图2的流程图所示,使用地震速度分析技术来定义地下区域的速度模型。分析可以包括,例如,基于正常时差(NMO)的堆叠速度拾取(stacking velocity picking)或其他方法。或者,可以使用包括例如行进时间断层成像或断层成像速度反演的断层成像速度分析。
一旦获得10速度场,就利用长空间波长平滑对其进行空间平滑12。在实施例中,在平滑期间,保持垂直分辨率。作为示例,可以利用来自选定水底的所有速度测量值的平均的函数来产生这种平滑。这种平滑速度场将被用作背景速度场以辅助对于异常区域的识别。典型地,速度建模中使用的软件包包括平滑功能。作为示例,可从德克萨斯,休斯顿的Paradigm Geophysical获得的GOCAD包括这样的功能,但也可以使用其他市售或定制软件实现。
一旦生成了平滑场,就从原始速度场减去14该平滑场,可以将所得的场视为异常场或异常模型。即,因为速度场包含更高频率信息,而平滑场代表低频信息,所以在减法运算之后的剩余高频信息更可能代表异常结构(即,比背景具有显著地更高或更低的速度的结构)。
一旦已经产生了异常模型,就如图1所示将其覆盖在地震堆叠(stack)上,以建立混合异常速度模型。在实施例中,通过彩色图像对该异常模型进行可视化,在其中色彩表示异常速度级。该地震堆叠图像是黑白图像,其中亮度表示反射信号的振幅。
然后可以使用组合的异常模型和地震堆叠图像来识别在其中堆叠振幅显示出通道状(channel-like)几何形态(geometry)的区域,该区域也是异常速度区域。具体而言,如果异常信息表示高速度区域,而堆叠图像表示通道几何形态,与不具有高速异常的带有通道几何形状的区域相比,那些区域更有可能包括笼合物沉积。
可以向识别中并入额外的提示。例如,通常已知的是,笼合物存在于特定深度范围之内,因为它们在特定压力和温度范围之内是稳定的。可以将满足这些标准的位置称为笼合物稳定区域。在深水环境中,这通常在海底以下的浅区域之内。因此,如果在较大深度处发现了高速度异常和通道状几何形态,它们可能会被忽略或者被分配降低了的存在笼合物的可能性。
然后对具有高异常、通道状结构并位于适当深度范围之内的那些区域做出标记,供专家进一步解释和/或应用不同的分析方法。
在图1所示的示例中,表面附近的亮区A代表通道状结构(可从地震图像识别),其也包括对应于快的速度的亮色(原始彩色图像中的紫色和白色)。
在实施例中,振幅包络被定义并被应用于该图像来识别其可能性,以供地震解释专家进一步审查。
在实施例中,设置速度异常值的阈值,向图像应用图案识别算法,以识别其中速度异常阈值被超过的邻接区域。通过应用深度标准来进一步挑选这些区域,以去除那些在笼合物稳定性区域底部以下的区域。最后,测试所识别的速度异常的边缘,以判断它们是否与高振幅地震信号相符合,该高振幅地震信号表示高异常区域代表物理地下结构的可能性。然后可以由地震图像分析专家进一步审查这些计算机识别的区域。
在实施例中,可以基于分析做出开采所识别的笼合物的决定。例如,可以做出进行勘探钻井的决定。同样地,包括生产方法(例如使用分解-提升(dissociation-promoting)技术、产油区的预压实(pre-compaction)等)的管理决定可以基于沉积物的图像。
地层成像
典型地,断层成像技术能够分辨出局部低或高速度区域,但可能在分辨异常的精确垂直或横向长度(extent)方面是无效的。因此,在实施例中,可以使用图3所示的速度场的异常分析来辅助分辨局部高和/或低速度区域之内的地下结构,且反之亦然。
首先,如图4的流程图所示,利用断层成像技术,定义20速度模型并获得22地震图像。例如,可以使用叠前深度迁移分析(prestackdepth migration analysis),虽然替代地也可以使用其他断层成像技术。
一旦获得速度场,就利用长空间波长平滑对其进行空间平滑24。在实施例中,在平滑期间,保持垂直分辨率。
从平滑场减去断层成像场,以建立异常体积或异常模型26。然后如之前的应用中那样,速度模型被覆盖在地震堆叠图像上,以生成混合速度振幅模型28。
一旦产生了混合速度振幅模型,便就识别了符合异常的地层或结构特征。如上所述,可以由专家通过在计算设备上审查数据来进行这种识别。原则上,自动图案识别处理可以被用于确识别特征,或者其可以被用于预先筛选供专家进一步审查的特征。
解释人员(human interpreter)定义图像之内的地质体。在图3中,由黑色轮廓线定义地质体。可以通过任何适当的方式来定义该地质体。例如,解释人员可以使用输入设备(例如鼠标或平板电脑设备(pad device))来识别地质体的边缘。原则上,可以使用图像分析软件基于图案识别算法来识别地质体。在追求自动化方法的情况下,可以使用人工解释步骤来细化自动识别的地质体。
一旦定义了地质体,就可以利用适当的速度异常来填充(populate)它。如将要认识的,在使用异常的地质体定义之前,它可能被不尽如人意地定义,而所测量的异常可能延伸超过(在深度或广度上)异常的地质学上的合理位置。在图3中可以观察出这种情况,在其中异常(异常模型的亮部分)延伸超过了所定义的地质体的边缘。即,所测量的异常的边缘在该区域之内往往是模糊的和/或被错误定位的。通过将异常的位置约束到被解释的地质体的位置,可以细化速度模型以更好地反映可能的地下结构。关于图3的模型,可以减小或消除异常的延伸超过地质体顶部的那部分,而同时将位于地质体之内的低异常的部分增大到等于遍及地质体其余部分存在的高异常。
曾经受到所识别的地质体的位置的约束的异常模型然后被加回到背景(平滑)速度模型,以产生修改的速度模型。然后可以使用该新产物来将地震数据重新迁移以产生新的地震图像。任选地,一旦产生了新的地震图像,就可以迭代该过程或者通过额外轮次的断层成像以其它方式对模型进行细化。
图5中示意性示出了用于执行该方法的系统。系统包括数据存储设备或存储器202。可以使所存储的数据对处理器204(例如可编程通用计算机)可用。处理器204可以包括接口部件(例如显示器206和图形用户界面208)。可以使用图形用户界面显示数据和处理后的数据产物,并允许用户在多个用以实施该方法的方面的选项间选择。可以经由总线210,直接从数据获取设备,或者从中间存储器或处理设施(未示出)向系统200传递数据。
尽管在二维图像的环境中描述和例示了该方法,但该方法的原理也适用于三维分析。
如将要认识到的,可以利用具有存储在有形、非暂态介质上的机器可执行指令的计算系统来执行本文所述的方法。可以执行这些指令以自动地,或借助来自操作员的输入,来执行该方法的每个部分。在实施例中,该系统包括用于允许输入和输出数据的结构,以及被配置和布置成显示过程步骤的中间和/或最终产物的显示器。根据实施例的方法可以包括对于油气资源的开采和/或勘探钻井位置的自动选择。在使用词语处理器时,应当理解其适用于多处理器系统和/或分布式计算系统。

Claims (15)
1.一种分析地下区域的地震图像的计算机实施的方法,包括:
获得地下区域的速度模型和地震图像;
利用计算系统对所述速度模型进行平滑处理以产生平滑速度模型;
利用所述计算系统从所述平滑速度模型减去所述速度模型以建立异常速度模型;以及
利用所述计算系统基于所述异常速度模型和所述地震图像建立混合异常速度模型。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,还包括识别其中选定的几何形态与速度异常相符合的区域。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中所述速度异常指示在所述速度异常附近的区域内的高于背景速度的速度。
4.根据权利要求3所述的方法,其中所述选定的几何形态包括通道几何形态。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中建立所述混合异常速度模型包括将来自所述异常速度模型的异常信息叠加到所述地震图像上。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述异常速度模型包括其中向速度异常值分配颜色标度的彩色图像,且所述地震图像包括其中向幅度值分配灰色阴影的灰度图像。
7.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述平滑处理包括长波长平滑处理。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中在所述平滑处理过程中,保持垂直分辨率。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述平滑处理包括应用移动平均算法。
10.一种被配置为分析地下区域的地震图像的系统,所述系统包括:
一个或多个处理器,被配置为运行计算机程序模块,所述计算机程序模块包括:
速度建模模块,被配置为获得所述地下区域的速度模型和地震图像;
预处理模块,被配置为对所述速度模型进行平滑处理以生成平滑速度模型;
计算模块,被配置为从所述平滑速度模型减去所述速度模型以建立异常速度模型;以及
异常建模模块,被配置为在所述异常速度模型和所述地震图像的基础上建立混合异常速度模型。
11.根据权利要求10所述的系统,还包括比较模块,所述比较模块被配置为识别出其中选定的几何形态与速度异常重合的区域。
12.根据权利要求10所述的系统,其中所述异常速度模型包括其中向速度异常值分配颜色标度的彩色图像,且所述地震图像包括其中向幅度值分配灰色阴影的灰度图像。
13.根据权利要求10所述的系统,其中将所述预处理模块配置为保持垂直分辨率。
14.根据权利要求10所述的系统,其中将所述预处理模块配置为使所述平滑处理包括长波长平滑处理。
15.一种非暂态机器可读介质,包括用于执行一种对地下区域的地震图像进行分析的方法的机器可执行指令,所述方法包括:
获得所述地下区域的速度模型和地震图像;
对所述速度模型进行平滑处理,以生成平滑速度模型;
从所述平滑速度模型减去所述速度模型以建立异常速度模型;以及
在所述异常速度模型和所述地震图像的基础上建立混合异常速度模型。
