Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a backup method of a Network Video Recorder (NVR). In particular, the present invention relates to a method for backing up multiple time periods of multi-channel video for a network video recorder.
Background
The network video recorder receives digital video code streams transmitted by equipment such as a network camera, a video encoder and the like through a network, and performs compression storage and management. The NVR is used as a network video monitoring system, complex cable wiring design is not needed, network resources are fully utilized, and network remote management can be utilized. With the gradual popularization of high-definition monitoring, video monitoring is advancing to the networking era, NVR storage is a trend, digital video code streams transmitted by devices such as a network camera, a video encoder and the like are received through a network, and are compressed, stored and managed, so that the video monitoring system has the storage advantages that:
firstly, the method comprises the following steps: the NVR realizes front-end access based on the IP port, has large and small access capacity, and has various forms from several ways to dozens of ways or even hundreds of ways, so the NVR has obvious advantages in the aspects of multiple capacities and high-capacity concurrent storage and can meet various storage requirements.
Secondly, the method comprises the following steps: NVR has the advantages of being able to ensure data integrity by using RAID and ANR storage reliability technologies.
Thirdly, the method comprises the following steps: the network openness of the NVR also enables the NVR to provide more flexible and more convenient storage deployment, and under the condition of relieving the network flow pressure, the unified management and unified retrieval of storage resources are realized.
NVR products and systems on the market support three storage modes of central storage, front-end storage and client storage, and can realize mutual backup of the center and the front end. The NVR integrates a disk array and a video server, and realizes the networking, high-definition and platform video monitoring unified management.
The primary function of NVR is to record live video on hard disk and play back/backup these recordings. Current NVR products support different channel record backups to USB/E-SATA disks. The user may select a time range for the selected channel to perform the backup operation and the user plays the recordings on the client video software.
Current NVR products can support two ways of record backup: a fixed time period for backup of different channels and one channel for backup of different time periods. For the first mode of backup, the user may select a different backup channel and select a fixed time period, then output all records to the USB disk; for the second mode of backup, the user may select a channel and then select a different time period on that channel to output the recording to the USB disk. Each way of backup has its own drawbacks. If the user wants to select two time periods for channel 1 and three time periods for channel 2, neither backup method can meet this requirement. To satisfy the backup action, the user must first select two time periods for channel 1, outputting these records to the USB disk; three time ranges for channel 2 are then selected and these recordings are output to the USB disk. This will take more actions to output all recordings to the USB disk if the user wants to select more channels with different time frames. The user cannot complete the backup action in one time and this would make the backup very complicated.
Disclosure of Invention
To address the above issues, the present invention provides for multiple time period selection for each channel on a backup interface.
In one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for backing up multiple periods of time for Network Video Recorder (NVR), comprising: selecting one or more cameras; selecting a time period on each video recording type color bar for the one or more cameras; changing the time period by dragging the time period edge; and outputting the corresponding video recordings to a memory after the time periods for all cameras have been selected.
In one embodiment of the invention, each time period is changed independently of the other time periods.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the video recording type color bar includes four types: alarm recording, video event recording, manual recording, schedule recording.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the memory is a USB disk.
Drawings
For a more complete understanding of the present invention, reference is now made to the following descriptions taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing, in which:
FIG. 1 illustrates a video filter according to an embodiment of the present invention;
FIG. 2 illustrates a search and backup interface according to an embodiment of the present invention; and is
FIG. 3 illustrates multi-time period selection according to an embodiment of the invention.
Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the technical solutions of the present invention are further described below by referring to the accompanying drawings and examples.
FIG. 1 shows a video filter according to an embodiment of the invention. In one embodiment of the invention, the NVR may search and backup videos according to search criteria. As shown in fig. 1, in order to filter the video on the playback screen, a target time and an event type may be specified in the filter window. For example, the target time specified in fig. 1 is a video centered at 5/10/2013 and 12:00: 00. Each camera has its own record type color bar, including four types: alarm recording, video event recording, manual recording, schedule recording. Each type of color bar has a corresponding check box. Each type of recording is represented by a color that will be shown on the corresponding bar (see fig. 2). Clicking on the default button will select the "all events" check box. Clicking the 'filter' button, the video window plays the video matching the search condition. Clicking on the "go" button, or clicking on the "search & backup" button in fig. 2, the screen goes to the search and backup screen of fig. 2. The condition of the filter may not be limited to the target time and the event type, and additional filtering conditions such as a codec type and a camera type may be added as shown in fig. 2.
FIG. 2 illustrates a search and backup interface according to an embodiment of the present invention. In one embodiment, the NVR may be a hybrid NVR, which is a new scheme capable of displaying 32 live videos and recording them on a hard disk, and transmitting the live videos together with digital audio to a PC client through a network, searching/playing back recorded files on a GUI and the PC client. Hybrid NVR is also a flexible support for IP cameras.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2, the filter conditions of the filter are: the target time is centered around 12/23/2012, 13 o' clock 57 min 22 sec, all cameras, codec type h.264, and time type all. After clicking the "filter" button, the filter results are displayed in the area to the right of the filter. The filtered results show live video from 32 cameras centered around 12/23/2012, 13 o' clock at 57 min 22 sec. The user can select a video desired to be backed up from live videos recorded by the 32-way camera. After pressing the "backup" button, the selected video to be backed up is backed up onto a memory, such as a USB disk.
FIG. 3 illustrates multi-time period selection according to an embodiment of the invention. The user can select any number of time periods on each channel and output all selected recordings on time. And, the most convenient operation is: the user is free to change each time period independently and each time period does not affect another time period.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 3, the user selects a total of 8 videos on five cameras 05, 07, 09, 18, and 19. Specifically, the user selects one video on camera 05, one video on camera 07, two videos on camera 09, one video on camera 18, and three videos on camera 19. As shown, the user can change the time period of each video independently, for example by dragging an arrow at the edge of each video segment shown in the figure, and the time period of each video changes independently of the time periods of the other videos. After pressing the "backup" button, all selected video is backed up to a memory, e.g., a USB disk. This enables the user to complete the backup action in one time and it will make the backup very convenient.
If the backup of 8 videos of the above 5 cameras is completed by using the conventional two backup methods, the user needs to first select a time period for the camera 05 and backup the record to the USB disk; then three time periods for channel 07 are selected and these records are backed up to the USB disk; then two time periods for channel 09 are selected and these records are backed up to the USB disk; then selecting a time period for channel 18 to backup the record to the USB disk; finally three time periods for channel 19 are selected and these records are backed up to the USB disk. This will take more actions to output all the records to the USB disk than with the multi-session backup method for multi-channel video of the present invention, so that the user cannot complete the multi-session backup action for multi-channel video in one time.
The purpose of the solution of the invention is that on NVR products, the user selects the time period on each color bar of the camera and changes the time period by dragging the time period edge. After all camera periods are selected, all recordings are output onto a memory such as a USB disk.
The above disclosure is only for the specific embodiments of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications to the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. It is to be understood that such changes and modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the appended claims.
