[ summary of the invention ]
The invention aims to provide an improved door for a refrigerator and the refrigerator with the door.
The above object is achieved by the features of the independent claims. Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the figures, the description and the dependent claims.
One aspect of the present invention relates to a door for a refrigerator. The door comprises a door body and a decorative panel positioned in front of the door body; wherein, the door body includes: the door plate is a sheet metal part and comprises a front plate and a pair of side plates which are bent and extended backwards from one corresponding longitudinal side edge of the front plate respectively; the door lining is spaced from the front plate, and the side plate is connected with the door lining; an upper end cover connecting the front plate and the upper end of the door liner; and a lower end cap connected to the front plate and the lower end of the door liner; the upper end cover and the lower end cover respectively comprise a front connecting edge extending vertically and slots positioned on two sides, the upper edge part and the lower edge part of the front plate are respectively lapped on the front connecting edge of the upper end cover and the front connecting edge of the lower end cover, and the upper edge part and the lower edge part of each side plate are inserted into the corresponding slots; and the decorative panel is adhered to the door body through the first adhering device.
Because insert the corresponding slot of upper end cover and lower cover with the last border portion and the lower border portion of curb plate, and the upper and lower border portion of front bezel then is taken at preceding connection edge, this is favorable to the front side of the door body to have at least roughly parallel and level edge portion, and then makes the decoration panel through pasting the device and pasting on the door body firmly become possible, thereby needn't adopt the expensive side card of independent manufacturing/side cap to fix the decoration panel, this not only is favorable to reduce cost, and because decoration panel accessible pasting device pastes in the door body, then the front surface of refrigerator door only forms by the decoration panel also can be expected.
In addition, the door body of the refrigerator door can have a structure closer to that of a metal door (door panel) without a decorative panel, so that it is possible to improve cost efficiency by sharing at least a part of the mold.
The decorative panel can be made of toughened glass, wood plates or stone materials and the like. The first application means may be, for example, a tape, a cement/water or other adhesive substance.
In a possible embodiment, at least part of the rear surface of the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel is overlapped on the front surface of the corresponding front joint edge, and the first adhesive means is distributed on at least part of the front surface of the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel. Therefore, the upper edge part and the lower edge part of the front plate can be respectively exposed outside the upper end cover and the lower end cover to form the edge area of the front surface of the door body, so that the four edge parts of the door body are basically formed by the front plate, and the connecting surfaces for adhering the decorative panel are at least approximately positioned in the same plane, thereby being beneficial to improving the quality of adhering the decorative panel to the door body.
In an alternative embodiment, at least part of the front surface of the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel overlaps the rear surface of the respective joint edge, the front surface of the front joint edge and the side edge portion of the front panel being in the same plane. This can be achieved, for example, by recessing the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel, either completely or partially, rearwardly, without the front connecting edge snapping into the recessed area on the front side of the front panel.
In one possible embodiment, the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel may include at least one inwardly recessed recess, respectively, and the upper and lower caps may include support ribs inserted into the corresponding recesses, respectively. The technical problem that the decorative panel cannot be assembled due to the fact that the front plate protrudes out of the upper end cover and the lower end cover in the foaming process but the area of the door body for arranging the first bonding device is uneven can be solved.
In one possible embodiment, a gap is formed between each of both sides of each of the support ribs and the front connecting edge, and the upper edge portion and the lower edge portion of the front plate are respectively inserted into the corresponding gaps.
In a possible embodiment, the front surface of the support rib and the front surface of the front plate are substantially flush, and the first attachment means is attached to the support rib and the front plate. This facilitates a smooth and continuous distribution of the first adhesive means between the decor panel and the door body.
In one possible embodiment, the door may include a trim strip attached to the side panel, the trim strip being located behind the trim panel.
In one possible embodiment, the front end of the trim strip may comprise a hook portion which laterally covers the connecting curved surface connecting the side panel and the front panel and which extends between the connecting curved surface and the trim panel. Therefore, the gap between the decorative panel and the door body can be at least partially shielded by the decorative strip, and the gap of the door is embodied as the gap between the decorative panel and the decorative strip when viewed from the side, so that the gap is easier to control.
In one possible embodiment, the upper and lower end caps each include a side connecting edge connected to the corresponding front connecting edge, the side plate includes a front portion and a rear portion, upper and lower edge portions of the front portion overlap the corresponding side connecting edges, upper and lower edge portions of the rear portion are inserted into the insertion grooves, and the decorative strip is connected to the front portion and covers the upper and lower edge portions of the front portion. The trim strip can thus extend substantially over the entire height of the side panel, which is advantageous for obtaining a more compact, clean appearance of the door.
In one possible embodiment, the front of the side panel forms a catch for opening the door.
In one possible embodiment, the door comprises a system housing for accommodating an operating and/or display unit, the front plate having an opening and a flap extending rearwardly from an edge of the opening, the system housing having a connecting slot connected to the flap.
In one possible embodiment, the upper or lower end cap includes a connection platform connected to the system housing, the connection platform having a channel communicating with the interior of the system housing, the connection platform and the front surface of the front connection edge of the upper or lower end cap being in the same plane, the inner surface of the front plate and the front surface of the connection platform being connected.
In one possible embodiment, the door may include a second adhesive means between a front surface of the connection station and an inner surface of the front panel. The second adhesive means may be, for example, an adhesive tape, cement/water or other adhesive substance. Therefore, in the foaming process of the door body, the connecting table and the front plate can be reliably positioned, so that the front plate can be prevented from moving relative to the connecting table, and foaming liquid can be prevented from leaking from the connecting table and the front plate.
Another aspect of the present invention relates to a refrigerator including a refrigerator door as described in any one of the above.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a door 1 for a refrigerator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The door 1 is connected to a cabinet (not shown) of a refrigerator (not shown) to close at least a portion of storage compartments or at least one storage compartment within the cabinet. In this embodiment the door 1 may be pivotally connected to the cabinet, in an alternative embodiment the door may be slidably connected to the cabinet.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the door 1 includes a door body 2, a decorative panel 3 attached to a front side of the door body 2, and a pair of decorative strips 4 attached to respective sides of the door body 2. The decorative panel 3 is made of tempered glass in this embodiment.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the door body 2 includes a door panel 21, a door liner 22, an upper end cap 23, a lower end cap 24, and a thermal insulation layer 25 (fig. 6 and 7) located in a space surrounded by the door panel 21, the door liner 22, the upper end cap 23, and the lower end cap 24.
The door panel 21 is a sheet metal member and includes a front panel 211 and a pair of side panels 212 respectively extending from a corresponding longitudinal side of the front panel 211 in a bent manner. The door liner 22 is coupled to the rear end of the side plate 212 at a predetermined interval from the front plate 211. The rear end of the side plate 212 may include a connection plate portion 2123 bent inward and substantially parallel to the front plate 211, and the door liner 22 is connected to the connection plate portion 2123.
The upper and lower caps 23 and 24 are attached to the upper and lower ends of the door panel 21 and the door liner 22, respectively, and have substantially the same attachment structure as the door panel 21, and thus technical features having the same function and/or structure will be referred to by the same technical terms while using different reference numerals in the following description.
As shown in fig. 3, 4 and 5, the upper and lower caps 23 and 24 have base walls 230 and 240, respectively, extending laterally, the base walls 230 and 240 forming top and bottom walls of the door 1, respectively. The upper and lower caps 23 and 24 further include front coupling edges 231 and 241, respectively, coupled to the corresponding base walls 230 and 240 and extending in a vertical plane, and a pair of insertion grooves 232 and 242 at corresponding one side ends. The front connecting edges 231, 241 respectively constitute at least part of the front surfaces of the upper end cap 23 and the lower end cap 24 and are located in the same vertical plane. One pair of slots 232 is located at the left and right ends of the top cover 23 and open downward and parallel to the side plate 212, and the other pair of slots 242 is located at the left and right ends of the bottom cover 24 and open upward and parallel to the side plate 212. The upper and lower caps 23 and 24 respectively include vertically extending ribs 233 and 243 connected to side ends of the corresponding base walls 230 and 240, the ribs 233 and 243 forming outer groove walls of the corresponding insertion grooves 232 and 242.
The base walls 230, 240 of the upper and lower caps 23, 24, respectively, extend forwardly slightly beyond the front surface of the respective front connecting edges 231, 241 to form upper and lower stops 234, 244.
When assembled, the inner surfaces of the upper and lower edge portions of the front panel 211 respectively overlap the front surfaces of the front connecting edges 231, 241 of the upper and lower covers 23, 24, and the upper and lower edge portions of each side panel 212 are inserted into the corresponding slots 232, 242 of the upper and lower covers 23, 24, as shown in fig. 6. In addition, the upper and lower end surfaces of the front plate 211 may be restricted by the upper and lower stoppers 234 and 244 to restrict the movement of the front plate 211 in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the door panel 21 is fixed to the upper end cover 23 and the lower end cover 24.
As shown in fig. 4 to 6, in this embodiment, the insertion grooves 232 and 242 are provided only at the rear portions of the upper and lower caps 23 and 24, respectively, and the front portions of the upper and lower caps 23 and 24 are side connection edges 235 and 245 connected to the respective front connection edges 231 and 241. Side panel 212 includes a generally L-shaped finger grip 2121 connected to front panel 211 and a side panel rear portion 2122 connected to a rear side of finger grip 2121 and extending rearwardly. The side connecting edges 235, 245 have a similar sectional shape to the handle portion 2121, and the inner surfaces of the upper and lower edge portions of the handle portion 2121 are respectively overlapped with the corresponding side connecting edges 235, 245, and the upper and lower ends of the rear portion 2122 of the side plate are inserted into the insertion grooves 232, 242. The trim 4 is connected to the grip portion 2121 and covers upper and lower edge portions of the grip portion 2121.
As shown in fig. 2 and 7, the upper and lower edge portions of the front plate 211 include a plurality of inwardly recessed portions 2115, respectively, and the upper and lower caps 23 and 24 include support ribs 236 and 246, respectively, inserted into the respective recessed portions 2115. The support ribs 236, 246 are adjacent to the front connecting edges 231, 241 and are spaced apart from the front connecting edges 231, 241 by a gap G so that the support ribs 236, 246 are inserted into the recess 2115, and the upper and lower edge portions of the front plate 211 are caught in the gap G, respectively. The back side of the support ribs 236, 246 may be provided with a stiffening rib 248 to prevent the support ribs 236, 246 from breaking off.
When assembled, the front surfaces of the support ribs 236, 246 do not extend beyond the front surface of the front plate 211. The front surfaces of the support ribs 236, 246 protrude slightly outward than the front surfaces of the front connecting edges 231, 241, specifically the former protrudes outward than the latter by the wall thickness of the front plate 211. Thus, the front surfaces of the support ribs 236, 246 and the front plate 211 are substantially planar and substantially flush.
In the foaming process, a foaming agent is injected into a door panel assembly formed of the door panel 21, the upper end cap 23 and the lower end cap 24, and then the door liner 22 is attached to the door panel containing the foaming agent, and the door panel 21, the upper end cap 23, the lower end cap 24 and the door liner 22 are closely combined with a thermal insulation layer 25 formed of the foaming agent.
The outer sides of the upper edge and the lower edge of the front plate 211 are respectively supported by the supporting ribs 235 and 245, which is beneficial to solving the technical problems that the foaming liquid leaks from the front plate 211 and the space between the upper end cover 23 and the lower end cover 24 and the front plate 211 protrudes out of the upper end cover 23 and the lower end cover 24 (for example, the upper end or the lower end of the front plate 211 longitudinally exceeds the upper end cover 23 or the lower end cover 24) in the foaming process of the door body 2.
As shown in fig. 6, the decorative panel 3 is attached to the door 2 by the first attaching device 6. The application means 6 is preferably an adhesive tape. The first attaching means 6 are distributed along four edge portions of the front plate 211, and the decorative panel 3 is attached to the front plate 211 by the attaching means.
In this embodiment, since the support ribs 236, 246 and the front plate 211 are both substantially flush with each other in the front surface, the first adhesive means 6 adhered to the upper and lower edge portions of the front plate 211 not only covers but also adheres to the respective support ribs 236, 246.
The trim strip 4 may be an extruded piece of aluminium which is attached to the side panel 212, integrally located behind the trim panel 3. The trim 4 covers upper and lower edge portions of the grip portion 2121 and extends substantially over the entire height of the grip portion 2121.
In this embodiment, the trim strip 4 is attached to the handle portion 2121. An adhesive strip, such as double-sided adhesive tape, is provided between the decorative strip 4 and the handle portion 2121 to secure the decorative strip 4 to the handle portion 2121.
The front end of the trim 4 has a hook 41 bent inward, and the hook 41 covers the connecting curved surface 213 between the side panel 212 and the front panel 211 and extends between the connecting curved surface 213 and the decorative panel 3 as viewed in the lateral direction, as shown in fig. 6.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the door body 2 includes a system housing 8 for accommodating the operation and/or display unit 7, and the system housing 8 has an accommodating space 80 for accommodating the operation and/or display unit 7. The front plate 211 has an opening 2116 and a flange 2117 extending rearward from an edge of the opening 2116, and the system housing 8 has a connection slot (not shown) that receives the flange 2117. With the insertion of the cuff 2117 into the attachment slot, the system housing 8 may be secured to the rear side of the front panel 211 prior to the foaming process. The burring 2117 is provided along the left and right edges and the lower edge of the opening 2116, and the upper edge of the opening 2116 is not provided with the burring, so that the operating and/or display unit 7 can be smoothly inserted into the accommodation space 80
The door body 2 has a passage 91 communicating with the accommodating space 8. The inlet of the channel 91 is located on the upper end cover 23, extending from the upper end cover 23 to above the receiving space 8. The upper end cap 23 includes a hollow connection block 9 formed with a passage 91 and connected to one end of the system housing 8.
The joining table 9 protrudes more downward than the front joining edge 231 and the front surfaces thereof are located in the same plane, so that the front surface of the joining table 9 can also be joined to the inner surface of the front plate 211. A pair of support ribs 236 may be adjacent respective sides of the joining station 9 to facilitate reducing the gap between the joining station 9 and the front plate 211.
A second bonding means 92 is provided between the front surface of the joining stage 9 and the front plate 211 to reduce a gap between the joining stage 9 and the front plate 211 and to prevent the foaming liquid from leaking between the joining stage 9 and the front plate 211. The second adhesive means 92 may be, for example, an adhesive tape.
The various embodiments of the individual components described in connection with fig. 1 to 7 may be combined with each other in any given way to achieve the advantages of the invention. In addition, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments, and other means than those shown may be generally used as long as the same effects are obtained.
