Abstract
本申请涉及一种由层压制件制成的轴承及其制作方法。该层压制件包括金属支撑体、中间粘合剂层以及UHMWPE滑动层。本发明的优点在于不需要对金属支撑体进行表面预处理就可以使UHMWPE层与金属支撑体之间有较高的剥离强度。本发明进一步包括一种用于制造该轴承及其层压制件的方法。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种轴承,该滑动轴承包括金属支撑体、酸酐接枝聚烯烃的中间粘合剂层以及超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)滑动层。
背景技术
免维护滑动轴承应用于众多的行业中,例如在汽车和自行车工程领域中,这些滑动轴承包括金属支撑体、中间粘合层以及滑动层。
EP0394518A1描述了一种普通的多层材料轴承,其中金属支撑体材料优选冷轧钢,中间粘合层为全氟代(烷基乙烯醚)和四氟乙烯的共聚物,滑动层为PTFE复合材料。为了保证中间粘合层与支撑体材料之间的粘合,对金属支撑体材料的表面需进行预处理。最好的方式是通过铬酸盐处理该金属支撑体的表面。然而,这种方法存在较多的缺陷,如产生环境问题以及其他安全问题。因此,如何改进这一制备工艺显得尤为重要。
由于其低摩擦系数、高冲击强度、耐腐蚀性、低吸水率以及减噪和减振等特性,UHMWPE可以取代滑动层中的PTFE。然而,由于UHMWPE极低的表面能,很难将其黏附到金属表面上,因此需要对该金属支撑体进行预处理,以提高复合材料的粘结强度。
综上所述,迫切需要一种合适的粘结剂,不需要对金属表面进行预处理,就能提高UHMWPE与金属表面的粘结强度。
发明内容
在一个实施例中,一种免维护的滑动轴承可以包括金属支撑体、中间粘合剂层以及滑动层。该中间粘合剂是接枝的聚烯烃,其化学式(I)如下:
其中R1可以是烷基或环烷基,所述烷基或环烷基的基团包含一个酸酐基团或至少两个极性官能团,R2可以是H、C1-C5烷基或苯基。
在另一个实施例中,用于生产免维护滑动轴承的方法是将金属层、中间粘合层和滑动层黏合在一起。这种结合可以是在压力下和/或加热的情况下。

该轴承材料的中间粘合剂层为接枝的聚烯烃,其化学式见式(I)

在一个优选的实例中,该接枝的聚烯烃是接枝的聚乙烯,例如酸酐接枝的聚乙烯。在一个最优选实施例中,该酸酐接枝的聚乙烯是用马来酸酐接枝的聚乙烯(PE-g-MAH)。因此该中间粘合剂可以包括以下结构:

本发明的轴承的特征在于接枝的聚烯烃粘合剂对该UHMWPE层与金属支撑体所提供的优异粘结性能。材料的剥离强度为45N/cm以上,例如,50N/cm以上、55N/cm以上、60N/cm以上、65N/cm以上、70N/cm以上。该剥离强度为85N/cm以下,例如80N/cm以下、75N/cm以下、70N/cm以下、65N/cm以下、或60N/cm以下。
在多个实施例中,该接枝的聚烯烃的接枝率不大于15%,例如不大于10%、不大于7%、不大于5%、不大于4%、或不大于3%。此外,该接枝率可以是至少0.5%、至少1%、至少2%、至少3%、至少5%、或者至少8%。
在其他实施例中,该接枝的聚烯烃平均分子量Mw至少为1000g/mol;例如至少3,000;至少5,000;至少7,000;至少10,000,或至少约50,000。在其他实施例中,该接枝的聚烯烃的平均分子量可以是不大于150,000,例如不大于100,000、不大于50,000、不大于20,000、不大于15,000;不大于10,000、不大于7,000或不大于5,000。
在一个实施例中,该中间粘合剂层可以包括至少按重量计90%的接枝的聚烯烃,例如至少92wt%、至少94wt%、至少96wt%、至少98wt%、至少99wt%、至少99.5wt%、或至少100wt%。在具体的实施例中,该中间粘合剂层包括至少98%的PE-g-MAH。
在多个实施例中,该粘合剂层的厚度可以在0.01mm与1.5mm之间。例如,该厚度至少为0.01mm,如至少0.03mm、至少0.5mm、至少0.7mm、或者至少0.9mm。此外,该厚度可以不大于1.5mm,例如不大于1.3mm、不大于1.0mm、不大于0.8mm或不大于0.6mm。
在一个实施例中,该中间粘合剂层可以包含一种或多种填充剂。填充剂可以用来增加和/或改进材料的热传导性能和/或磨损特性。这些填充剂可以是纤维、无机材料、热塑性材料、矿物材料、或其混合物。例如这些填充剂可以是玻璃纤维、碳纤维、聚芳酯纤维、PTFE和PPS纤维、陶瓷材料、碳、玻璃、石墨、氧化铝、硫化钼、青铜、碳化硅、聚酰亚胺(PI)、PTFE、聚酰胺酰亚胺(PAI)、聚苯硫醚(PPS)、聚亚苯基砜(PPSO2)、液晶聚合物(LCP)、聚醚醚酮(PEEK)、芳香族聚酯(Ekonol)、硅灰石以及硫酸钡。这些填充剂可以是织物、粉末、球状或纤维状结构。
该中间粘合剂层的填充剂含量可以至少为0.1wt%,例如至少0.5wt%、至少1wt%、至少5wt%、至少10wt%、至少20wt%、或至少30wt%。此外,该填充剂的量可以不大于60wt%、例如不大于50wt%、不大于40wt%、不大于30wt%、或者不大于20wt%。
该轴承材料的金属支撑体可以是铝、钢、不锈钢、黄铜、铜或青铜。在优选实施例中,该金属支撑体可以是铝或钢。
在一个实施例中,该金属支撑体的厚度可以在2mm与0.01mm之间。例如,该金属支撑体的厚度可以不大于2mm,例如不大于1.5mm,不大于1.3mm、不大于1.0mm或不大于0.7mm。此外,该厚度至少为0.01mm,如至少0.05mm、至少0.1mm、至少0.2mm、至少0.3mm、至少0.4mm、至少0.5mm、至少0.7mm、或至少0.9mm。
本发明的轴承材料的特征在于接枝聚烯烃层提供的UHMWPE滑动层与金属支撑材料的优异粘结。由于这种优异的粘结,不需要对金属支撑体(具体是铝、冷轧钢、冷轧以及随后的电解镀锌的钢或者不锈钢)进行表面预处理,这样不存在对生态环境的污染问题,也不需要湿法化学预处理(具体是铬酸盐处理)。同时,不再需要如在EP0848031B1中描述的用于表面预处理的物理方法(例如,电晕放电的等离子体预处理)。因此,生产本发明的滑动轴承的方法与现有技术相比可以在明显降低成本。
在滑动轴承中使用的金属支撑体可以具有不同的表面结构。由于该粘合剂层(包括接枝的聚烯烃)的优异粘合特性,该金属支撑体可以具有光滑表面或者粗糙表面或有结构的表面(例如一种蜂窝结构)。在一个优选实施例中,该金属支撑体的表面是光滑的。在另一个优选实施例中,该金属支撑体的表面具有一种蜂窝结构。
对应于该金属支撑体表面的不同性质,该金属支撑体表面的表面粗糙度Ra至少为0.01μm、至少0.02μm、至少0.05μm、至少0.1μm、至少0.5μm、至少1μm、至少2μm、至少5μm、至少10μm、至少20μm、至少50μm、至少100μm、至少200μm、或至少400μm。
在其他实施例中,该表面粗糙度Ra可以小于400μm、小于200μm、小于100μm、小于50μm、小于25μm、小于20μm、小于15μm、小于10μm、小于5μm、小于3μm、小于2μm、或甚至小于1μm。
在另一个实施例中,该金属支撑体的表面粗糙度Ra在0.1μm到400μm的范围内,例如从0.5μm到100μm,或从1μm到50μm。
与该中间粘合剂层直接接触的滑动层是以超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)为基体的。在多个实施例中,该滑动层可以是空气可透过的、有孔的、或多孔的。此种结构结合一种填充剂或润滑剂改进了材料的热传导率。
UHMWPE滑动层的厚度可以在0.01mm至1.5mm之间。在多个实施例中,该厚度不大于1.5mm,例如不大于1.3mm、不大于1.0mm、不大于0.8mm或不大于0.6mm。在其他实施例中,该UHMWPE层的厚度至少为0.01mm,如至少0.03mm、至少0.5mm、至少0.7mm、或至少0.8mm。
在多个实施例中,该UHMWPE滑动层可以进一步包括一种或多种填充剂、颜料和/或染料。通过填充剂来增加和/或改进热传导率和/或磨损特性。可用的填充剂有碳、玻璃、石墨、氧化铝、硫化钼、青铜、碳化硅、聚酰亚胺(PI)、聚酰胺酰亚胺(PAI)、聚苯硫醚(PPS)、聚亚苯基砜(PPSO2)、液晶聚合物(LCP)、聚醚醚酮(PEEK)、聚醚砜(PES)、聚醚酮(PEK)、芳香族聚酯(Ekonol)、玻璃纤维、碳纤维、和聚芳酯纤维、硅灰石、以及硫酸钡。在一个优选实施例中,填充剂是碳、石墨或ekonol。这些填充剂可以是织物、粉末、球状或纤维状结构。
在另外的实施例中,该UHMWPE层的填充剂的量至少是该UHMWPE层的总重量的0.1wt%,例如至少0.5wt%、至少1wt%、至少5wt%、至少10wt%、至少20wt%、或至少30wt%。此外,该填充剂的量不大于该UHMWPE层的总重量的60wt%、例如不大于50wt%、不大于40wt%、不大于30wt%、或者不大于20wt%。
在其他实施例中,该UHMWPE的平均分子量Mw至少为100万,例如至少150万,至少200万或至少300万。
在多个实施例中,本发明的轴承材料中间粘合剂层与UHMWPE滑动层之间的厚度比在1∶10至2∶1之间,例如1∶5至1∶1,或1∶3至1∶1。
在另外一个实施例中,该轴承材料的金属支撑体与整个层压制件厚度之间的比例在1∶10至1∶2之间,例如1∶5至1∶2,或1∶3至1∶2。
在多个实施例中,本发明的免维护滑动轴承可以通过以下工艺来制备:将金属支撑层、中间粘合剂层以及UHMWPE层以层压的方式制备,并且在不同的过程阶段施加压力和/或热处理。
在一个优选实施例中,UHMWPE层与粘合剂层是片状材结构并且可以共挤在金属支撑体表面上。
在另一个优选实施例中,金属支撑体、粘合剂层以及UHMWPE层各自是以片状材料的形式提供并且层叠在一起。在此方法中,该金属支撑体还有该中间粘合剂层和UHMWPE滑动层都是在每种情况下被作为连续的材料从一个卷上卷下并且在一种叠层轧辊装置中在压力作用下并且在升高的温度下彼此相连接。层叠温度可以是在150℃至230℃的范围内,并且施加的压力可以是在0.1Mpa与10Mpa之间,例如在0.5Mpa与5Mpa之间,或在1Mpa与3Mpa之间。
在另一个实施例中,将该接枝的聚烯烃粘合剂材料直接施加到预加热的金属支撑体上并且进行辊压,此后,将UHMWPE材料施用到粘合剂层上进行辊压。该加热的金属支撑体的温度可以在150℃至230℃之间。
为了改进中间层与金属支撑体之间的粘结强度以及提高金属支撑体的耐腐蚀性能,一个实施例对金属支撑体表面的进行预处理,如粗糙化和/或表面升级(例如通过电解镀锌)。此外,还可以对金属支撑体的表面进行机械结构化,例如通过对金属表面进行擦刷、喷沙、压花(例如一个蜂窝结构)来提高。
一种免维护滑动轴承的结构示意图详见图1。其中包括,金属支撑体1,中间粘合剂层2,UHMWPE滑动层3。在一个实施例中,材料的粘结强度通过层压制件180°剥离测试方法来表征。
在一个实施例中,本发明的轴承层压制件在一个轴承组件中得到应用。该轴承组件包括一个第一构件,其中所述第一构件可以是一个腔,以及一个第二构件,其中所述第二构件可以是定位在该第一构件内的一个长形本体。该轴承层压制件可以定位在所述第一构件与所述第二构件之间。
实例
剥离强度根据ASTM D3330中描述180°剥离测试来测量。测试样品具有三层结构:金属背衬、粘合剂层以及滑动层。这些测试样品的宽度为25mm。
表1和图2示出了具有以下不同的金属背衬的3个实例的剥离强度结果:E1)钢背衬;E2)具有蜂窝结构的铝背衬;以及E3)无蜂窝结构的铝背衬。除了金属表面的蜂窝结构外,这些金属背衬的表面均是未处理的(无机械粗化或酸蚀刻处理)。在实例E1)、E2)、和E3)中,粘合剂层为100wt%PE-g-MAH,其厚度为0.3mm。UHMWPE滑动层的厚度为0.3mm,金属支撑体的厚度为0.5mm。
表1和图2进一步示出了对比实例C1和C2的剥离强度结果,包括由熟知的粘合剂,例如改性的PA(对比实例C1)和EVA(对比实例C2)。在两个对比实例中的金属背衬均是钢。
如实验结果显示,所有以PE-g-MAH作为粘合剂的实例表现出较好的粘结强度,在62至69N/cm之间,金属支撑体是具有蜂窝结构铝的材料表现出最高剥离强度。
相比之下,改性的PA和EVA作为粘合剂层的材料具有比较低的剥离强度。

摩擦学测试:
摩擦学测试在具有钢背衬的衬套上进行,在层叠之前,该钢背衬的厚度是0.4mm,粘合剂层的厚度是0.3mm,纯的UHMWPE层的厚度是0.3mm。层叠之后层压制件的厚度是0.8mm。摩擦学测试在不同的PV值下进行。
滑动轴承具有许多不同的形状和尺寸。最大的轴承其高度可以高达500mm,最小的轴承,也称为微微轴承,其高度仅有几个μm。
滑动轴承可以包括:平面轴承、环形轴承、轴衬、球接轴承(半球)、普通轴承、轴向轴承、止推轴承、线性轴承、轴瓦、轴承外圈、翻边轴承、以及其组合。
本发明的一个优点是免维护。术语“免维护”描述的轴承是指不需要涂脂润滑,这是在早期汽车车门中的应用情况。免维护轴承的寿命超过了使用这些轴承产品的平均寿命或者为了相同目的应用的常规轴承的寿命。
滑动轴承被广泛的应用于商业产业中,范围从重金属行业到汽车和自行车行业,甚至到焙烘行业、手提电脑/移动电话铰链,以及太阳能领域。

1.一种由层压制件制成的轴承,其特征在于,所述层压制件包括:
金属支撑体;
与所述金属支撑体直接接触的中间粘合剂层,所述粘合剂层包括一种根据化学式(I)的接枝的聚烯烃
其中R1包括一个烷基或环烷基的基团,所述烷基或环烷基的基团包含一个酸酐基团或至少两个极性官能团,并且R2是H、或C1-C5烷基或苯基;
以及
与所述粘合剂层直接接触的超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)层。
2.根据权利要求1所述的轴承,其特征在于,所述UHMWPE层的平均剥离强度是至少45N/cm。
3.根据权利要求1所述的轴承,其特征在于,所述R1包括以下化学式中的一种:

9.根据权利要求1所述的轴承,其特征在于,所述金属支撑体面向所述粘合剂层的表面为未处理表面。
10.根据权利要求1所述的轴承,其特征在于,所述金属支撑体面向所述粘合剂层的表面为一种具有蜂窝结构的起伏表面。
11.一种层压制件,其特征在于,包括:
金属支撑体;
与所述金属支撑体直接接触的中间粘合剂层,所述粘合剂层包括一种根据化学式(I)的接枝的聚烯烃
其中R1包括一个烷基或环烷基的基团,所述烷基或环烷基的基团包含一个酸酐基团或至少两个极性官能团,并且R2是H、或C1-C5烷基或苯基;
以及
与所述粘合剂层直接接触的超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)层,
其中所述UHMWPE层的平均剥离强度是至少55N/cm。
12.根据权利要求11所述的层压制件,其特征在于,所述R1包括以下化学式中的一种:
其中Rf是CO、或C(O)H、或COOH、或CONH2、或OH或卤素;X是O或NH;并且p值的范围是1-6。
13.根据权利要求12所述的层压制件,其特征在于,所述接枝的聚烯烃是酸酐接枝的聚乙烯。
14.一种轴承组件,其特征在于,包括:
第一构件,其中所述第一构件是一个腔;
第二构件,其中所述第二构件是一个定位于所述第一构件内部的长形本体;
定位于所述第一构件与所述第二构件之间的轴承;并且其中所述轴承为一种层压制件,所述层压制件包括:
金属支撑体;
与所述金属支撑体直接接触的中间粘合剂层,所述粘合剂层包括一种根据化学式(I)的接枝的聚烯烃
其中R1包括一个烷基或环烷基的基团,所述烷基或环烷基的基团包含一个酸酐基团或至少两个极性官能团,并且R2是H、或C1-C5烷基或苯基,并且所述含UHMWPE层的平均剥离强度是至少45N/cm。
15.一种制造层压制件的方法,包括:
-提供一层金属支撑体,一层粘合剂以及一层UHMWPE;
-通过将所述粘合剂层置于所述金属支撑体与所述UHMWPE层之间,从而连接所述金属支撑体、所述粘合剂层以及所述UHMWPE层;并且
-在不同的加工阶段施用压力和/或热处理,
其中所述粘合剂层包括一种酸酐接枝的聚烯烃,并且所述UHMWPE层的剥离强度是至少45N/cm。
16.如权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述UHMWPE层与所述粘合剂层是片状材料的形式,并且在所述金属支撑体的一个表面上共挤出。
17.如权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述金属支撑体、所述粘合剂层以及所述UHMWPE层各自是处于片状材料的形式,将金属支撑体、粘合剂层及UHMWPE层压在一起制成层压材料。。
18.如权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述粘合剂层直接施用到所述金属支撑体上并且进行辊压,随后将所述UHMWPE层直接置于所述粘合剂层上并且进行辊压。
19.如权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,面向所述粘合剂层的金属表面为蜂窝结构。
20.如权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述酸酐接枝的聚烯烃是用马来酸酐接枝的聚乙烯(PE-g-MAH)。
