Description
Technical Field
The present invention belongs to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for adjusting channel quality indication.
Background
In the existing wireless communication system, a Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) technology is used for data transmission, and HARQ gain is obtained by retransmission and combining. In view of the current application, most of the scheduled Transport Block Sizes (TBSs) can be received by the user after one retransmission, so the gain of HARQ combining is large, and how to reasonably utilize the gain needs to be considered. In addition, different Service types have different requirements for quality of Service (QoS), and the requirements for retransmission times are different, and need to be considered together.
At present, the simplest retransmission resource allocation method is to directly use the current Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) according to the processing of initial transmission, so that the Block Error Rate (BLER) of the retransmission is the same as the target of the initial transmission. Such a processing method does not consider the gain of HARQ combining, and for most scenarios, resources are wasted. On the other hand, since the sub-carriers or power resources are limited, if the resources used for retransmission are not optimized, the scheduling opportunities of other users are reduced.
Another way to do this is to adjust the CQI of the feedback retransmission directly by a fixed amount during retransmission. The processing mode is too simple, the change of the HARQ gain under different signal-to-noise ratios is not considered, the requirements of different services on time delay are not considered, the gain is forcibly and fixedly increased, and negative gain is likely to occur.

In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
The above description is only for the purpose of illustrating the preferred embodiments of the present invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention, and any modifications, equivalents and improvements made within the spirit and principle of the present invention are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for adjusting a channel quality indicator according to an embodiment of the present invention. The method comprises the following steps:
step 101, adjusting a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) when the user data is initially transmitted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of the user data;
in many communication systems, when data sent to a user is subjected to an error in initial transmission, repeated transmission is performed for a plurality of times subsequently, and the user combines data information of the initial transmission and the subsequent repeated transmission to improve transmission performance. The retransmission times are the same data sent to the user, and except for the initial transmission, the number of times of repeated transmission is 1 when one repeated transmission occurs, and is 2 when two times of n occur. The preset retransmission times refer to a maximum repeated transmission time set for different services during system design, and the maximum repeated transmission time is used as a target for CQI adjustment. For example, for a service, we specify that the maximum number of repeated transmissions is 3, and the preset number of retransmissions N is 3.
The adjusting the CQI when the user data is initially transmitted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of the user data comprises the following steps:
when the current retransmission times of the user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a first numerical value, when the current retransmission times of the user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a second numerical value, and the adjusted CQI is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount and the CQI when the user data are initially transmitted; the initial adjustment amount is a CQI adjustment amount when the user data is retransmitted for the first time, and both the first value and the second value are positive numbers.
Where a represents the initial adjustment amount, a _ plus represents the first value, and a _ minus represents the second value. The user data comprises a data stream or a plurality of codewords.
And 102, retransmitting the user data by using the adjusted CQI.
Optionally, the adjusting the CQI when the user data is initially transmitted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission time and the preset retransmission time of the user data includes:
when the number of the user data is more than two, the CQI when each user data is initially transmitted is adjusted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of each user data;
the retransmitting the user data using the adjusted CQI, comprising:
and retransmitting each user data by using the CQI adjusted by each user data.
The adjusting the CQI when each user data is initially transmitted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of each user data respectively comprises the following steps:
when the current retransmission times of the current user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a first numerical value, and when the current retransmission times of the current user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a second numerical value; or,
when the current retransmission times of the current user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data and a first numerical value, and when the current retransmission times of the current user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data and a second numerical value;
the adjusted CQI is the sum of the CQI when the current user data is initially transmitted and the CQI adjustment amount; the initial adjustment amount is a CQI adjustment amount when the current user data is retransmitted for the first time, and both the first value and the second value are positive numbers.
Specifically, when the user data is a plurality of codewords, and the current retransmission time of the current user data is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time, the CQI adjustment amount is obtained by adding a first value to the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data, and when the current retransmission time of the current user data is greater than the preset retransmission time, the CQI adjustment amount is obtained by subtracting a second value from the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data:
when the retransmission time of a first code word in the code words is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word to a + a _ plus, and when the retransmission time of the first code word is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word to a-a _ minus;
when the retransmission time of a second code word in the code words is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word to be the CQI adjustment quantity + a _ plus of the adjusted first code word, and when the retransmission time of the second code word is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word to be the CQI adjustment quantity-a _ minus of the adjusted first code word; (ii) a
When the retransmission time of a third codeword in the codewords is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount of the third codeword to be the CQI adjustment amount + a _ plus of the adjusted second codeword, and when the retransmission time of the third codeword is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount of the third codeword to be the CQI adjustment amount-a _ minus of the adjusted second codeword;
and the like, adding the CQI adjustment amount after each code word adjustment to the retransmission CQI of each code word as the channel quality indication when the user retransmits.
For example, in the conventional LTE system, when the retransmission channel quality indicator CQI is adjusted, a _ plus =0.5, a _ minus =1.5, N =2, and a =3 are selected.
Initializing a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) adjustment amount to 3, judging the current retransmission time, and if the retransmission time n is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time 2, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount to 3+ 0.5; and if the retransmission times n are greater than the preset retransmission times 2, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount to be 3-1.5.
When the CQI is adjusted next time, the size relationship between the retransmission times n and the preset retransmission times 2 is further judged on the basis of the previously obtained CQI adjustment amount (3.5 or 1.5), and the CQI adjustment amount is adjusted again.
As an alternative embodiment, the method further comprises:
and when the CQI adjustment amount is larger than a preset CQI maximum adjustment amount, taking the preset CQI maximum adjustment amount as the CQI adjustment amount.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of another method for adjusting a channel quality indicator according to an embodiment of the present invention. The invention is not limited to the order of the steps in fig. 2.
Step 201, setting a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) adjustment amount to a, an increment of the CQI adjustment amount to a plus, a decrement of the retransmission CQI adjustment amount to a minus, and a preset retransmission number of times to N;
step 202, judging the size between the retransmission times N in the hybrid automatic retransmission request HARQ and the preset retransmission times N;
step 203, when the retransmission number N is less than or equal to the preset retransmission number N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount to a + a _ plus; when the retransmission time N is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount to a-a minus;
step 204, setting the maximum value of the CQI adjustment quantity as b;
step 205, judging the size between the adjusted CQI adjustment amount and the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment amount;
step 206, when the adjusted CQI adjustment amount is less than or equal to the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment amount, taking the adjusted CQI adjustment amount as a CQI adjustment amount for next retransmission; and when the adjusted CQI adjustment amount is larger than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment amount, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment amount as the CQI adjustment amount of the next retransmission.
In combination with an optional embodiment, after the step of adjusting the channel quality indicator CQI of each codeword at the time of current retransmission according to the size relationship between the current retransmission time of each codeword and the preset retransmission time N, the method further includes:
and judging the size between the CQI adjustment quantity of the current code word and the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity, and when the CQI adjustment quantity of the current code word is larger than the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity, taking the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the current retransmission user data.
Specifically, when the CQI adjustment amount of the first codeword in the adjusted multiple data streams or codewords is less than or equal to the maximum CQI adjustment amount b, the CQI adjustment amount of the first codeword in the adjusted multiple data streams or codewords is used as the CQI adjustment amount of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is larger than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
when the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is less than or equal to the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words as the CQI adjustment quantity of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is larger than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
when the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is less than or equal to the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words as the CQI adjustment quantity of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is greater than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
and the like, adding the CQI adjustment amount after each code word adjustment to the retransmission CQI of each code word as the channel quality indication when the user retransmits.
For example, in the conventional LTE (Long Term evolution) system, when the retransmission channel quality indicator CQI is adjusted, a _ plus =0.5, a _ minus =1.5, N =2, a =3, and b =5 are selected.
Initializing a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) adjustment quantity to be 3, judging a first code word at the current retransmission time if a plurality of code words are simultaneously transmitted, and adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity to be 3+0.5 if the retransmission times n of the first code word are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times 2; and if the retransmission times n are greater than the preset retransmission times 2, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount to be 3-1.5, and simultaneously comparing the relation between the CQI adjustment amount and the maximum value 2 of the CQI adjustment amount (not exceeding 5).
Then judging a second code word, further judging the size relation between the retransmission times n of the second code word and the preset retransmission times 2 on the basis of the previously obtained CQI adjustment amount (1.5 or 3.5), adjusting the CQI adjustment amount again, simultaneously comparing the relation between the CQI adjustment amount and the maximum value 5 of the CQI adjustment amount, if the CQI adjustment amount is more than 5, setting the current CQI adjustment amount to be 5, otherwise, keeping the CQI adjustment amount unchanged.
When the third codeword is judged, the size relationship between the retransmission times n of the third codeword and the preset retransmission times 2 is further judged on the basis of the previously obtained CQI adjustment amount (3 +0.5+0.5, 3+0.5-1.5, 3-1.5+0.5, 3-1.5-1.5), the above regulation and comparison are performed on the CQI adjustment amount again, meanwhile, the relationship between the CQI adjustment amount and the maximum value 5 of the CQI adjustment amount is compared, if the CQI adjustment amount is greater than 5, the current CQI adjustment amount is set to be 5, otherwise, the CQI adjustment amount is kept unchanged.
Optionally, at least one of the first and second values is a change value.
Optionally, the first value is less than the second value.
The a-plus is smaller than the a-minus, which ensures slow rise and fall of the adjustment amount, if the adjustment amount rises too fast, the possibility of data transmission error will increase when the system works in a more aggressive state, and the purpose is to ensure the reliability of the system.
The invention provides a method for adjusting channel quality indication, which adjusts the channel quality indication CQI when the user data is initially transmitted according to the magnitude relation between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of the user data, and retransmits the user data by using the adjusted CQI, thereby realizing the combination of HARQ gain and the preset retransmission times corresponding to different service types of users, adaptively adjusting the retransmission CQI and improving the system performance.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a block diagram of an apparatus for adjusting channel quality indication according to an embodiment of the present invention. The device comprises the following units:

in many communication systems, when data sent to a user is subjected to an error in initial transmission, repeated transmission is performed for a plurality of times subsequently, and the user combines data information of the initial transmission and the subsequent repeated transmission to improve transmission performance.
The adjusting unit is specifically configured to:
when the current retransmission times of the user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a first numerical value, when the current retransmission times of the user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a second numerical value, and the adjusted CQI is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount and the CQI when the user data are initially transmitted; the initial adjustment amount is a CQI adjustment amount when the user data is retransmitted for the first time, and both the first value and the second value are positive numbers.
Where a represents the initial adjustment amount, a _ plus represents the first value, and a _ minus represents the second value. The user data comprises a data stream or a plurality of codewords.

The adjusting unit 301 is specifically configured to:
when the number of the user data is more than two, the CQI when each user data is initially transmitted is adjusted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of each user data;
the retransmission unit 302 is specifically configured to:
and retransmitting each user data by using the CQI adjusted by each user data.
The adjusting unit executes the steps of adjusting the CQI when each user data is initially transmitted according to the size relationship between the current retransmission time and the preset retransmission time of each user data, and the adjusting unit comprises the following steps:
when the current retransmission times of the current user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a first numerical value, and when the current retransmission times of the current user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the initial adjustment amount and a second numerical value; or,
when the current retransmission times of the current user data are less than or equal to the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data and a first numerical value, and when the current retransmission times of the current user data are greater than the preset retransmission times, the CQI adjustment amount is the sum of the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data and a second numerical value;
the adjusted CQI is the sum of the CQI when the current user data is initially transmitted and the CQI adjustment amount; the initial adjustment amount is a CQI adjustment amount when the current user data is retransmitted for the first time, and both the first value and the second value are positive numbers.
Specifically, when the user data is a plurality of codewords, if the current retransmission time of the current user data in the step executed in the adjusting unit 302 is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time, the CQI adjustment amount is obtained by adding a first value to the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data, and if the current retransmission time of the current user data is greater than the preset retransmission time, the CQI adjustment amount is obtained by subtracting a second value from the CQI adjustment amount of the previous user data as follows:
when the retransmission time of a first code word in the code words is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word to a + a _ plus, and when the retransmission time of the first code word is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word to a-a _ minus;
when the retransmission time of a second code word in the code words is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word to be the CQI adjustment quantity + a _ plus of the adjusted first code word, and when the retransmission time of the second code word is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word to be the CQI adjustment quantity-a _ minus of the adjusted first code word; (ii) a
When the retransmission time of a third codeword in the codewords is less than or equal to the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount of the third codeword to be the CQI adjustment amount + a _ plus of the adjusted second codeword, and when the retransmission time of the third codeword is greater than the preset retransmission time N, adjusting the CQI adjustment amount of the third codeword to be the CQI adjustment amount-a _ minus of the adjusted second codeword;
and the like, adding the CQI adjustment amount after each code word adjustment to the retransmission CQI of each code word as the channel quality indication when the user retransmits.
As an optional embodiment, the apparatus further includes a processing unit 303, where the processing unit 303 is specifically configured to:
and when the CQI adjustment amount is larger than a preset CQI maximum adjustment amount, taking the preset CQI maximum adjustment amount as the CQI adjustment amount.
In combination with an optional embodiment, the processing unit 303 is specifically configured to:
and judging the size between the CQI adjustment quantity of the current code word and the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity, and when the CQI adjustment quantity of the current code word is larger than the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity, taking the preset CQI maximum adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the current retransmission user data.
Specifically, when the CQI adjustment amount of the first codeword in the adjusted multiple data streams or codewords is less than or equal to the maximum CQI adjustment amount b, the CQI adjustment amount of the first codeword in the adjusted multiple data streams or codewords is used as the CQI adjustment amount of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is larger than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the first code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
when the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is less than or equal to the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words as the CQI adjustment quantity of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is larger than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the second code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
when the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is less than or equal to the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word in the adjusted multiple data streams or code words as the CQI adjustment quantity of the next retransmission; when the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words is greater than the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity, taking the maximum value b of the CQI adjustment quantity as the CQI adjustment quantity of the third code word of the adjusted multiple data streams or code words;
and the like, adding the CQI adjustment amount after each code word adjustment to the retransmission CQI of each code word as the channel quality indication when the user retransmits.
The invention provides a device for adjusting channel quality indication, which adjusts the channel quality indication CQI when the user data is initially transmitted according to the magnitude relation between the current retransmission times and the preset retransmission times of the user data, and retransmits the user data by using the adjusted CQI, thereby realizing the combination of the HARQ gain and the preset retransmission times corresponding to different service types of users, adaptively adjusting the retransmission CQI and improving the system performance.
