Description

具有用于人眼安全启动的传感器的手持式激光装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种具有传感器的无线手持式激光装置,所述传感器能控制光束启动,以保证人眼安全操作。
背景技术
基于通过辐射(激光)的受激发射形成的光放大的装置彻底变革了皮肤病学和美容的许多领域。有待治疗的皮肤状况包括暗疮疤痕、红斑痤疮、色素沉着、多余的毛发和真皮修复。脱落式换肤(ablative resurfacing)已经成为用于美容修复的常用方法。减少皱纹已经成为光线疗法的特定目的。
基于激光的装置的发展以及它们在皮肤治疗方法中的使用近十年来有很多。一些公开关注于装置的安全起动以避免意外的暴露。US2004/0167502A1(Weckwerth等)报导了用于探测与皮肤表面的接合的光学传感器。该传感器基于多个发光二极管(每个发光二极管均具有独特的波段)和宽带光电探测器,所述宽带光电探测器用于测量多种波长下的光线从被分析的材料的消减。US2010/0082020(Gong等)描述了一种医用激光器,其具有电容传感器和发射控制装置,以保证激光器机头在启动之前与皮肤接触。所述机头需要在任何外科手术开始之前保持垂直于皮肤表面。
用于治疗皮肤的多数电磁辐射传送装置是相对较大件的设备。它们的基础工程设计和操作模式上的复杂性使得它们不能小型化成手持式装置。例如,US2008/0082089A1(Jones等)描述了一种包括第一固态激光器和第二固态激光器的系统。相应的第一输出光束被供送至第二装置,以便在稀土掺杂的增益介质中产生激发,从而生成第二输出光束。后者被用于治疗皮肤。US2007/0179481A1(Frangineas等)试图通过来自二氧化碳激光器的多个脉冲来治疗皮肤松弛。该系统需要壳体来容纳扫描设备以及与真空泵连接的末端来排放由脱落产生的烟。
许多报导的脱落手术都需要特殊的冷却机构。例如,US5810801引导辐射束穿透皱纹下方的真皮区域以损伤胶原质。然后,启动冷却系统来防止损伤上覆表皮。这些冷却系统通常很大。
现有技术、尤其是手持式仪器的另一问题是它们发射充分高能剂量的电磁辐射的有效性。US2011/0040358A1(Bean等)提供了一种描述手持式装置的解决方案,该装置在1350-1600nm之间人眼安全地操作,以治疗创伤和疾病。这是一种不需要直接接触组织的电池操作式系统。该装置的关键部件是被构造成能使激光束会聚于组织表面目标稍上方的焦点的透镜。
发明内容
提供了一种用于治疗皮肤的激光装置,其包括:
(i)具有第一端部和第二端部的手持式壳体;
(ii)布置于所述壳体内并发射输出光束的激光件;
(iii)布置在所述壳体的第一端部处的电容传感器,其包括围绕并限定出窗口的板,所述输出光线通过所述窗口射出,所述板具有至少三个区段,所述至少三个区段中的每个均能够出入共同的平面柔性地移动,所述区段中的每个均连接至电极,所述电极用于确定皮肤表面的介电常数;和
(iv)与所述传感器通信的信号和控制存储装置,其将测得的介电常数值的输入信号与存储的标准介电常数值比较;
其中,所述输出光束的发射仅在所有所述至少三个区段都对齐在一平面中且感测到存储的标准介电常数时才被启动。

具体实施方式
现在已经揭示了一种在高度紧凑的手持式构型中用于治疗皮肤的激光装置。在一个优选的形式中,该装置是无线的且通过可再充电电池满足电能需求。
尤其是针对人眼损伤的安全性已通过特定的电容传感器来处理。在一个优选的实施例中,该传感器是具有三个扇区的环形环,每个扇区均连接至不同的电极。只有环形环的所有区段都稳固地抵靠皮肤且都记录到与皮肤表面适配的介电常数时,激光件才会起动。
图1和图2示出了本发明的第一实施例。该激光装置具有曲线型壳体2,所述曲线型壳体2具有第一端部4和相反的第二端部6。限定出窗口8的孔眼形成在壳体的第一端部的末端10处。
壳体优选具有正弦曲线形状或S-形状。这使得末端10能够抵靠着用户的脸部适当地定位,并同时允许用户看见功率设置和启动情况。沿着壳体长度的纵向轴线和穿过窗口的轴线将在交点处限定出100°-170°的角度,优选是110°-160°的角度,且最佳地是120°-140°的角度。
如图3和图4最佳地示出的电容传感器50成环形板12的形式,并布置在壳体的第一端部处。环形板围绕窗口8。所述板对电磁辐射而言是不透的。电磁辐射的任何输出光束都通过窗口8射出,所述窗口8是环形板的敞开的中心区域。弯曲减轻接头(relief joint)51将所述板成直角地连接至长条臂49,所述长条臂49与印刷电路板28电通信。
环形板具有至少三个区段54a、54b、54c,所述至少三个区段54a、54b、54c中的每个都能够出入共同的平面柔性地且独立地移动。所述区段中的每个分别连接至电极52a、52b、52c。虚拟接触线53作为参考。所述区段中的每个之间是1-20密耳的间隙56a、56b、56c。
通过将电极布置成一环,电极与电磁辐射出射所通过的窗口8的横截面同心地放置。该布置最大化了传感器的表面区域,并允许保持窗口8周围的尽可能小的体积。
电容式传感器包括两个导体,所述两个导体之间具有电容场。存在与三个电极中的每个分别对应的三个电容式开关。开关中的每个都必须满足这样的条件:它具有与适当干燥的皮肤接触相关的电容。当仅部分地与皮肤接触时,电介质是不正确的,且不会产生激光件的发射。
两个控制按钮可从壳体外侧启动。一个是在装置上起着起动/开启作用的功率启动按钮。另一个是起着控制功率水平作用的功率设置按钮16。术语“按钮”应广义地解释。虽然在第一实施例中所述按钮是方形的,这些按钮在其他实施例中可以是圆的或其他几何形状。这些按钮还可从壳体的表面向内/向外移动,但是在另一实施例中可以是不能移动的触摸屏式开关。
发光二极管(LED)18与功率设置按钮相联,以便显示高功率18a或低功率18b的设置。
图5和图6示出了激光装置的内部机构。可再充电电池20容纳在壳体的在后端部6正上方的下部区域内。通过将外部电源连接至端口22来进行再充电,所述端口22与可再充电电池电通信。
铝块24位于电池上方,所述铝块24充当支撑件和用于将通过激光件产生的热量消散的固体冷却剂。该装置既不需要也不具备任何专用的液体或气体冷却剂系统。
用于产生电磁辐射的激光件26支撑在铝块的臂上。该实施例的激光件在不变的输出功率下操作,从而发送随时间持续的波。所述激光件是包括元素铟、砷、镓和锡的固态二极管激光器。该激光器生成辐射脉冲,所述辐射脉冲的波长为大约1300-1600nm,优选为1420-1470nm,且最佳为大约1440nm。注量(fluence)范围为0.5-5焦耳/cm2,更优选为1-3焦耳/cm2,最佳为1.3-1.8焦耳/cm2。从该激光装置发出的电磁辐射不会使皮肤脱落,从而被美国食品药品管理局(Food&Drug Administration)归类为I/1类固有安全等级(Class I/1inherently safe rating)。
成印刷电路板28形式的信号和控制存储装置位于激光件26上游,所述印刷电路板28支撑在铝块24的臂上。该装置的操作由印刷电路板控制,所述操作包括功率切换、辐射发射次序、激光脉冲的生成、定时、次序以及处理皮肤接触信息。对于后者,信号和控制存储装置与传感器通信,从而将测得的介电常数值的输入信号与存储的皮肤标准介电常数值比较。所述输出光束的发射仅在所有所述至少三个区段都对齐在一平面中且感测到存储的标准介电常数时才被启动。
如图5最佳地可见,基台34位于激光件26与铝块24之间。该基台直接地支撑激光件以及从印刷电路板28输送信号/电流的柔性导电连接器36。该柔性导电连接器具有前和后端部38、42。前和后端部之间的区域39是高度可弯曲的。所述弯曲的角度范围可以是0°-360°。这实现了激光件的主平面与印刷电路板的主平面之间的多种角度。优选地,所述角度保持在10°-250°。这种定位上的柔性产生了几何学和人体工程学优点。
柔性连接器的前端部结合至基台。前端部的一部分具有一组多个电线结合部40,所述多个电线结合部40完成了到激光件26的电连接。柔性连接器的后端部42具有孔眼44,以便使螺钉46或其他紧固件与印刷电路板实现按压接触。所述螺钉和垫圈组件提供了均匀分布的力,所述均匀分布的力将柔性连接器的大片区域压紧到印刷电路板的电镀接触点。该布置最小化了接触电阻,因此降低了电功率损失。该布置还实现了简易的组装、拆卸和更换。
连接器的柔性使得该系统避免了原本必需的处于由激光器产生的输出光束平面中的电路连接。在本发明的一个实施例中,柔性连接器由夹在聚酰亚胺层之间的一组铜线形成。
具有向外锥形化的壁的对齐结构48形成在基台34下游区域中。该对齐结构能接收柔性连接器的前端部38,以便防止移动和保证激光件正确地定位。

Claims (6)

1.一种用于治疗皮肤的激光装置,包括:
(i)具有第一端部(4)和第二端部(6)的手持式壳体(2);
(ii)布置于所述壳体内并发射输出光束的激光件;
(iii)布置在所述壳体的第一端部处的电容传感器(50),其包括围绕并限定出窗口(8)的板(12),所述输出光线通过所述窗口(8)射出,所述板具有至少三个区段(54a、54b、54c),所述至少三个区段(54a、54b、54c)中的每个均能够出入共同的平面柔性地移动,所述区段中的每个均连接至电极(52a、52b、52c),所述电极用于确定皮肤表面的介电常数;和
(iv)与所述传感器通信的信号和控制存储装置(28),其将测得的介电常数值的输入信号与存储的标准介电常数值比较;
其中,所述输出光束的发射仅在所有所述至少三个区段都对齐在一平面中且感测到存储的标准介电常数时才被启动。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,所述板是具有三个区段的环形环,且每个区段均占据所述环形环的三分之一,不导电间隙(56a、56b、56c)将所述区段中的每个间隔开。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的装置,其特征在于,所述信号和控制存储装置是印刷电路板(28)。
