Description

Method for reporting measurement result, terminal and base station

The present application relates to communications technologies, and in particular, to a method, a terminal, and a base station for reporting a measurement result.
Background
In a wireless communication system, for example: in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, a User Equipment (UE) may configure resources according to a reference signal, measure and report measurement results such as Channel State Information (CSI) to an Evolved NodeB (eNB). Wherein the measurement result is carried by a physical uplink channel. Due to introduction of technologies such as Coordinated Multiple Points (CoMP), Carrier Aggregation (CA), etc., a terminal may have Multiple Transmission Points (TPs) to serve the terminal at the same time. The TP may include, but is not limited to, an Access Point (AP), a base station, a cell under the base station, a carrier frequency, a carrier, a Remote Radio Equipment (RRE), a Remote Radio port (RRH), a Remote Radio Unit (RRU), or a Home base station (Femto cell, HomeNodeB, HNB, or Home eNodeB, HeNB). At this time, the UE needs to report as many measurement results as possible.
However, since the physical uplink channel resource is limited, there may occur a problem that the physical uplink channel cannot accommodate the measurement results for all transmission points commonly served to the terminal, and how to alleviate the limitation caused by the insufficient capacity of the physical uplink channel becomes a problem.

All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
In addition, the term "and/or" herein is only one kind of association relationship describing an associated object, and means that there may be three kinds of relationships, for example, a and/or B, which may mean: a exists alone, A and B exist simultaneously, and B exists alone. In addition, the character "/" herein generally indicates that the former and latter related objects are in an "or" relationship.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flow chart of a method for reporting a measurement result according to an embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 1.
101. The terminal obtains a first measurement object and a second measurement object.
102. The terminal measures a first reference signal corresponding to the first measurement object and a second reference signal of the second measurement object to obtain a first measurement result of the first measurement object and a second measurement result of the second measurement object.
103. When the first measurement result or the statistic of the first measurement result and the statistic of the second measurement result satisfy a measurement reporting condition, the terminal reports second measurement object information to the base station, where the second measurement object information includes at least one of the following information:
a statistic of the second measurement;
and the statistical value of the second measurement result corresponds to the object identifier of the second measurement object.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, before 103, the terminal may further obtain first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate a first offset of a statistical value of a second measurement result relative to the second measurement object; accordingly, the second measurement object information further includes at least one of the following information:
all or a portion of the second measurements within the first offset range;
and the object identification of the second measurement object corresponding to all or part of the second measurement result in the first offset range.
For example, the second measurement object corresponding to the statistical value of the second measurement result may include, but is not limited to:
n second measurement objects which are greater than or equal to the statistical value of the second measurement result, wherein n is an integer greater than or equal to 1; or
M second measurement objects smaller than or equal to a statistical value of the second measurement result, wherein m is an integer greater than or equal to 1; or
A second measurement object having a statistical value larger than the second measurement result by a threshold value; or
A second measurement object smaller than another threshold value of the statistical value of the second measurement result.
For another example, when the first measurement result or the statistical value of the first measurement result and the statistical value of the second measurement result satisfy the measurement reporting condition, if there are a (where a is an integer greater than 0) second measurement results within the first offset range, the terminal may report all the a second measurement results to the base station, or may report all b (where b is an integer greater than 0 and b is smaller than a) second measurement results of the a second measurement results to the base station.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the statistical value of the second measurement result may include but is not limited to:
the best one of the second measurements; or

An average value or a weighted value of M worst measurement results among the second measurement results, where M is an integer greater than or equal to 1; or
An average or weighted value of the second measurement.
When the second measurement result is one, the statistical value of the second measurement result may be the one second measurement result or a weighted value of the one second measurement result.
It should be noted that the first measurement result and the second measurement result are obtained by performing measurement based on a Reference Signal configuration resource, for example, a Channel state information Reference Signal (CSI-RS).

The element may be a CSI-RS resource, which may include, but is not limited to, the number of antenna ports, resource configuration, subframe configuration, scrambling initialization parameters, and the like. Elements in the CoMP Resource Management set can be used for (Radio Resource Management, RRM) layer measurement, that is, Signal Quality of CSI-RS resources in the CoMP Resource Management set is represented by Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) or Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ); for a Comp measurement set and a Comp cooperating set, from a physical layer measurement trigger, representing signal quality of CSI-RS resources in the Comp measurement set and the Comp cooperating set by using Channel State Information (CSI). Of course, RRM measurement may be used, that is, the Signal Quality of the CSI-RS resources in the CoMP measurement set and the CoMP cooperating set may be expressed by Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) or Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ).
It should be noted that, in the foregoing several sets, the initial state may be understood as an inactive state. When some of the elements are activated, the activated elements can be the first measurement object or the second measurement object. Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the statistical value of the first measurement result may include but is not limited to:
the best one of the first measurements; or
A worst one of the first measurements; or
The average value or weighted value of the best N measurement results in the first measurement results, wherein N is an integer greater than or equal to 1; or
An average value or a weighted value of M worst measurement results in the first measurement results, wherein M is an integer greater than or equal to 1; or
An average or weighted value of the first measurement.
When the first measurement result is one, the statistical value of the first measurement result may be the one first measurement result or a weighted value of the one first measurement result.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, in 1301, the terminal may specifically receive at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information sent by the base station.
Specifically, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the terminal may specifically receive at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information, which are sent by the base station through a higher layer signaling.
For example, the higher layer signaling may be a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, specifically, at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication Information may be carried by an Information Element (IE) in an RRC message, and the RRC message may be an RRC message in the prior art, for example, an RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION (RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION) message and the like.
For another example, the higher layer signaling may be a Media Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) message, and specifically, at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information may be carried by adding a new MAC CE message.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, in 1301, the terminal may further not need to receive at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information sent by the base station, but may directly obtain at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information according to a pre-configuration, for example, a protocol agreement.
Specifically, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the terminal may specifically receive at least one of the first measurement object, the second measurement object, and the first indication information, which are sent by the base station through a control channel.

For another example, when the first measurement result or the statistical value of the first measurement result and the statistical value of the first measurement result satisfy the measurement reporting condition, if there are a (where a is an integer greater than 0) first measurement results within the second offset range, the terminal may report all the a first measurement results to the base station, or may report all b (where b is an integer greater than 0 and b is smaller than a) first measurement results of the a to the base station.
Specifically, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the terminal may specifically receive the second indication information sent by the base station through a higher layer signaling.
For example, the higher layer signaling may be a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, specifically, the second indication Information may be carried by an Information Element (IE) in the RRC message, and the RRC message may be an RRC message in the prior art, for example, an RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION (RRC RECONFIGURATION) message and the like.
For another example, the higher layer signaling may be a Media Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) message, and specifically, the second indication information may be carried by adding a new MAC CE message.
Optionally, in a possible implementation manner of this embodiment, in 101, the terminal may also obtain the second indication information directly according to a pre-configuration, for example, a protocol convention, without receiving the second indication information sent by the base station.

1402. And the base station receives a measurement report reported by the terminal, wherein the measurement report is reported to the base station when the difference between the first measurement result or the statistic of the first measurement result and the statistic of the second measurement result satisfies the first threshold, or when the statistic of the first measurement result or the statistic of the first measurement result satisfies the second threshold and the statistic of the second measurement result satisfies the third threshold.
