Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to mobile communication technologies, and in particular, to a method and a system for detecting UE approaching a micro base station.
Background
With the development of mobile communication and information technology, the demand of users for data services is increasing. In the current mainstream mobile communication Network, the 2 nd generation/2.5 th generation mobile communication Network adopting Global System For mobile communication/General Packet Radio Service (GSM) or the 3 rd generation mobile communication Network adopting Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) is a Homogeneous Network (Homogeneous Network) uniformly planned and deployed by an operator. Once a homogeneous network is deployed, the capacity of the network within a certain area is fixed. In order to meet the increasing data Service requirements of blowout, operators need to deploy more homogeneous network sites, on one hand, it is expensive to deploy and maintain the traditional homogeneous macro network sites, and on the other hand, even if a large number of new sites are deployed on the basis of the original network, once each site is deployed, the network capacity is fixed, so that the operator cannot adapt to the requirements of local area Service load changes and the requirements of Quality of Service (QoS) changes in the network.
In order to meet the increasing data service demand of users, the 4 th generation mobile communication deploys some low Power nodes (LPNs, low Power nodes) on the basis of the original homogeneous network, where the low Power nodes may be low Power micro base stations (picoenbs), home base stations (henbs/CSGs/femtos), Relay nodes (RNs, Relay nodes), and the like, and because the low Power nodes have Lower transmission Power, compared with macro cells (macro cells) covered by base stations (e.g., enbs, NBs, and the like) deployed uniformly by traditional operators, the cells covered by the low Power nodes may be collectively referred to as micro cells (micro cells) or small cells (small cells) or low Power Node cells (LPN cells). The low power node has the advantage of flexible deployment, for example, can be deployed in a hot spot area to increase coverage of the hot spot area, fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of hot spot coverage of the low power node in the prior art, and the low power node in fig. 1 can be flexibly deployed in the hot spot area according to the number of users to increase network capacity of the hot spot area and reduce load of a macro base station in the hot spot area.
The deployment of the low-power nodes can enhance the cell coverage on the basis of the traditional macro base station, increase the network capacity, share the load of the macro base station and enhance the service quality of a specific user. However, since the low power node has low transmission power, the cell coverage area of the low power node is much smaller than that of a traditional macro base station, and the low power node may also be deployed by using the same frequency as or a different frequency from that of the macro base station.
When User Equipment (UE) accesses near the edge of the coverage of the micro base station or moves to the edge of the coverage of the micro base station when the macro base station accesses, the micro base station needs to be discovered in time, the measurement of the pilot frequency needs to be started in time, and the macro base station can initiate a handover decision only when the UE reports a measurement report to the macro base station. If the method for opening the pilot frequency measurement in the traditional homogeneous network is adopted, namely as shown in fig. 1, the pilot frequency measurement is opened when the signal of the macro base station is degraded, and if the micro base station is deployed at the central position of a cell in the heterogeneous network, the method for opening the pilot frequency measurement in the traditional homogeneous network cannot achieve the effect and cannot open the pilot frequency measurement; if pilot frequency measurement is started all the time, the traditional method is relatively power-consuming for the UE, and if the measurement interval needs to be opened, the flow is also influenced, so how the macro base station knows that the UE is close to the micro base station and the power consumption expense of the UE does not need to be increased urgently.

Detailed Description
The basic idea of the invention is: the micro base station monitors uplink characteristic information of the UE, or the macro base station informs the UE to send the uplink characteristic information to the micro base station; the micro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE, and sends the information of the UE close to the micro base station to the macro base station; or the micro base station sends a detection result obtained according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the macro base station, and the macro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station or not according to the detection result.
The invention is further described in detail below with reference to the drawings and the specific embodiments.
The invention provides a method for detecting UE approaching a micro base station, fig. 2 is a flow diagram of the method for detecting UE approaching a micro base station, and as shown in fig. 2, the method comprises the following steps:
step 201, a macro base station sends uplink characteristic information of UE to a micro base station;
specifically, the macro base station may locate the UE, and may query a location of the micro base station (e.g., longitude and latitude of the micro base station) in an adjacent area relation table in the macro base station, so that the macro base station may determine the UE that may be close to the micro base station according to the location tracking information of the UE in a connected state and the location of the micro base station; the macro base station sends uplink characteristic information of the UE which is possibly close to the micro base station through an S1 interface or an X2 interface, wherein the macro base station sends the uplink characteristic information of one or more UEs to one micro base station, and if the uplink characteristic information of a plurality of UEs is sent, the condition that a plurality of UEs which are possibly close to the micro base station exist is indicated; the uplink characteristic information of the UE includes an ID of the UE, and further includes Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) configuration, Random Access (RA) configuration, or Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) configuration of the UE.
Step 202, after receiving uplink characteristic information of the UE, the micro base station monitors the uplink characteristic information of the UE, or the macro base station informs the UE to send the uplink characteristic information to the micro base station;
specifically, the macro base station determines, according to the position tracking information of the UE in the connected state and the position of the micro base station, that the UE that may be close to the micro base station belongs to rough determination and is not accurate enough, so after receiving uplink feature information of the UE sent by the macro base station, the micro base station needs to screen the UE close to itself from a plurality of UEs that may be close to itself according to the received uplink feature information of the UE, and thus the micro base station switches to frequency point monitoring of the macro base station and uplink feature information of the UE corresponding to the ID of the UE in the uplink feature information; the method comprises the steps that a frequency point converted from a micro base station to a macro base station monitors uplink characteristic information of UE corresponding to an ID, namely the micro base station is converted to a frequency point containing a macro cell of the micro base station to receive the uplink characteristic information of the UE;
or the macro base station sends the characteristic information of the micro base station to UE (user equipment) which is possibly close to the micro base station through broadcasting or special signaling to inform the UE of converting to a frequency point where the micro base station is located, and then the UE actively sends the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the micro base station close to the UE; the characteristic information of the micro base station includes Physical Cell Identity (PCI) and frequency point information, and may further include location information of the micro base station.
Step 203, the micro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE;
specifically, the micro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE sensed by the micro base station or the uplink characteristic information actively sent by the UE; the micro base station performs correlation operation on SRS, RA or CQI in the uplink characteristic information of the UE and the uplink characteristic information of the UE received from the macro base station, if the operation result is correlation, the micro base station is indicated that the UE is close to the micro base station, and if the operation result is uncorrelated, the micro base station is indicated that the UE is not close to the micro base station;
taking the micro base station to perform the correlation operation on the SRS as an example, the micro base station performs the correlation operation on the SRS configuration information of the UE and the received SRS signal of the UE, whether the UE is close to the micro base station can be judged according to the operation result, if the operation result is correlated, the UE is close to the micro base station, and if the operation result is uncorrelated, the UE is not close to the micro base station; here, the method of the micro base station performing the correlation operation on the RA or the CQI is similar to the above-described method of determining whether or not the UE is close to itself by performing the correlation operation on the SRS.
Step 204, the micro base station sends the information of the UE close to the micro base station to the macro base station;
specifically, the micro base station sends the information of the UE close to the micro base station determined according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the macro base station through an S1 interface or an X2 interface, and by using an eNB configuration update (eNB configuration update) message or a resource Status report Initiation (resource Status Reporting Initiation) message or a newly defined message, so that the macro base station can know the UE close to the micro base station; the information of the UE is the ID of the UE.
Step 205, the micro base station sends a detection result obtained according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the macro base station, and the macro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station according to the detection result;
specifically, the micro base station may not send the information of the UE close to itself, which is determined according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE, to the macro base station, but perform a correlation operation on the SRS, or the RA, or the CQI in the uplink characteristic information of the UE and the uplink characteristic information of the UE received from the macro base station, and send an operation result as a detection result to the macro base station through the S1 interface or the X2 interface, and by using an eNB Configuration Update message or a resource Status Reporting Initiation message or a newly defined message, the macro base station determines whether the UE is close to the micro base station according to the detection result, and if the detection result is correlated, it indicates that the UE is close to the micro base station, and if the detection result is uncorrelated, it indicates that the UE is not close to the micro base station, so the macro base station may know the UE close to the micro base station.
Example one

Step 302, the macro base station sends uplink feature information of the UE to a micro base station to which the UE may be close through an S1 interface or an X2 interface; the uplink feature information includes an ID of the UE and configuration information such as a corresponding SRS configuration, or an RA configuration, or a CQI configuration.
303, for a UE supporting dual transmitters, after the UE receives a broadcast message or a dedicated message, automatically converting the frequency point to send uplink feature information to the micro base station according to the frequency point information in the feature information of the micro base station; here, for a UE with only a single transmitter, the macro base station needs to send uplink characteristic information to a subframe designated for the UE through a dedicated signaling, and the UE sends the uplink characteristic information to the micro base station on the designated subframe and converted to a frequency point of the micro base station.
Step 304, the micro base station judges whether the UE is close to itself according to the uplink characteristic information actively sent by the UE; and when the micro base station judges that the UE is close to the micro base station, the micro base station sends the information of the UE close to the micro base station to the macro base station.
And 305, the micro base station sends a detection result obtained according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the macro base station, and the macro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station or not according to the detection result.
Step 306, if the micro base station determines that the UE is not close to itself, after a certain time interval, step 304 is executed or step 305 is executed.
Example two

step 401, the macro base station sends uplink feature information of the UE to a micro base station to which the UE may be close through an S1 interface or an X2 interface; the uplink feature information includes an ID of the UE and configuration information such as a corresponding SRS configuration, or an RA configuration, or a CQI configuration.
Step 402, the micro base station automatically switches to the frequency point of the macro base station, and monitors the uplink characteristic information of the UE.
Step 403, the micro base station determines whether the UE is close to itself according to the uplink feature information of the UE, and when the micro base station determines that the UE is close to itself, the micro base station sends information of the UE close to itself to the macro base station.
And step 404, the micro base station sends a detection result obtained according to the uplink characteristic information of the UE to the macro base station, and the macro base station judges whether the UE is close to the micro base station or not according to the detection result.
Step 405, if the micro base station determines that the UE is not close to itself, after a certain time interval, step 403 is executed or step 404 is executed.
