在实施例的详细说明中,全部采用类似数字标明类似的部件。可以省略诸如管道、阀门、机泵、紧固件、配件等设备的各项,从而使该描述简化。然而,本领域技术人员会认识到,能够按照需要采用常规设备。
为了克服上面提到以及其他现有方法的限制,本文中所述的一个或更多实施例包括采用人工神经网络(“ANN”)作为代理模型的储层模拟器。起初,如下面参考图5所述,一个实施例使用压力降相关性计算压力降数据并且存储该输入数据和相应的输出数据(即,压力降),该输入数据包括总质量(或摩尔)流速、该流体的组成(即,其每个组分的质量或摩尔分数)、在该管道的入口或出口处的压力、以及与在管道中的位置有关的流体的温度。可替换地,该输入数据能够包括每个组分的质量或摩尔流速,以及入口或出口压力和温度分布。在几个时间步骤之后,该相应的输入和输出数据被有利地用于训练该ANN。可以通过外插法(extrapolation)扩展该先前的输入数据,并且可以在训练该ANN从而扩展在其上该ANN会精确的范围之前,实行对该外插数据的额外压力降计算。一旦已经训练该ANN,那么其可以被用作储层模拟器中的代理模型,从而计算与当前流速、压力、和温度有关的压力降,并且如果该模拟器需要,那么从而通过使该输入数据关于当前条件扰动来提供数值导数。周期性地,或者响应于该输入数据从该训练数据的范围的显著偏差,可以再次实行全压力降计算,从而确保该输入数据仍旧在该ANN在其中提供足够精确的结果的范围内。也可以存储这些周期性计算,以便当该ANN的精确度变得无法接受时,可以用来重新训练该ANN。与必须利用压力降相关性相反,使用该ANN计算该压力降会引起相当大的CPU时间的节省。另外,该模拟器的精确度会胜过使用VPN表格,给予该模拟有限的能力从而获取组合效果(compositional effects)。
例如,在许多情况下,使用略微变化的输入运行相同基础模拟数据(basesimulation data),从而评价替换的经营策略是常见的。为了从ANN获得更加大的优点,能够在第一次模拟运行完成时输出用于经训练ANN的最终参数和被用于训练该ANN的数据,并且这些参数和数据被用于相同基础模拟模型的随后运行。如在初始运行中,检查该ANN的精确度,从而确定该输入数据是否从训练数据的范围偏离,因此如果随后的运行引起与该初始运行显著不同的条件,那么能够重新训练该ANN。
ANN作为储层模拟器中的代理模型的使用也可以提供为所计算的压力降提供一些平滑处理的优点。因为流动状态的改变,诸如段塞相对泡状流(slugversus bubble flow),压力降相关性通常具有不连续性。通常,这些不连续性不表示真实的物理现象,而是表示该相关性的限制。在数值上不期望不连续性,因为它们能够使一般被用于储层模拟器中的该Newton迭代法的收敛减慢,乃至能够阻止该收敛。

至少存在两个众所周知的先有技术计算管道中的压力降的方法。在任一方法中,该管道、井管、或者完井被分为许多段。在第一种方法中,该管道被精细分段,并且通过计算每个管道段中的压力降而无需迭代地执行压力降计算。在这方法中,选择该管道段的一端作为起始点,并且在管道段的该端处的压力被用作边界条件。以该压力评价该流体特性,并且该特性被用于计算在管道段的另一端处的压力。所计算的压力变为用于下一管道段的边界条件。第二种方法将该管道更粗略的分段,并且以该管道段的平均压力评价流体特性,然后迭代,直到该压力收敛(converge)。
