In summary, the embodiment of the present invention displays at least three screen capture points, determines the polygon area formed by at least three screen capture points according to the position of the screen capture point moved by the user, and saves the part of the content displayed on the current screen corresponding to the determined polygon area as the screen capture image, so as to effectively and reliably screen capture the content of the polygon area displayed on the screen of the mobile terminal, and solve the problem that the polygon area cannot be screen captured on the mobile terminal in the prior art.
