技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,特别涉及一种显示面板及3D显示装置。
背景技术
目前普遍使用的光栅式(barrier)裸眼3D技术,大多采用TN型光栅结构,其视角与普通扭曲向列型(Twisted Nematic,TN)显示屏的视角基本相同。但与TN型光栅结构匹配的显示屏多为采用广视角技术的广视角显示屏,如:平面转换IPS、边缘场开关技术ADS显示屏)。广视角显示屏中,上偏光片和下偏光片的透过轴相互垂直,上取向层(彩膜基板上的取向层)和下取向层(阵列基板上的取向层)的取向方向相反,下偏光片的透过轴与下取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行。广视角显示屏的像素结构中像素电极通常为条状,对于单畴模式(所有条状像素电极相互平行)条状像素电极与下取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行,且与栅线平行或垂直。对于双畴模式,如图1所示,下取向层的取向方向(图1中箭头所示)所在的直线与栅线1平行,条状像素电极2与下取向层的取向方向所在的直线所呈的夹角α通常在7°~11°。
这两种显示模式(TN与广视角)在偏光片透射角度上存在着一定差异,一般情况下相差45°(该角度随不同的广视角显示面板的取向层的取向方向有关)。如图2所示,实线箭头表示液晶初始取向方向(即取向层的取向方向),虚线箭头表示偏光片的透过轴方向,点线表示光路方向。可见广视角显示屏的出射面的偏光片透过轴方向与3D光栅的入射面的偏光片透过轴方向相差45°。
3D光栅为匹配广视角显示屏部分(即广视角显示面板的上偏光片透光轴应该和3D光栅的下偏光片的透光轴平行),一般将其透过轴方向(即3D光栅的偏光片贴附方向,以及取向层取向方向)进行45度左右旋转,以匹配广视角显示屏出射侧的最佳透射轴方向。但是旋转后会造成3D光栅的视角随之偏转,偏离人眼观看的最佳方向(这个方向一般是6点方向,即视线正前方),从而造成3D显示的视角特性较差。
发明内容
(一)要解决的技术问题
本发明要解决的技术问题是:如何使广视角显示面板匹配3D光栅,以提高光栅式3D显示的视觉角度特性。
(二)技术方案
为解决上述技术问题,本发明提供了一种显示面板,包括:第一基板、位于第一基板上的第一偏光片、第二基板和位于第二基板上的第二偏光片、以及位于所述第一基板和第二基板之间的液晶层,还包括形成在所述第一基板之上的像素电极、公共电极、第一取向层和栅线,所述像素电极和公共电极两者至少之一为梳状电极,所述第一偏光片的透过轴与所述第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行,所述第一偏光片的透过轴与所述第二偏光片的透过轴垂直,所述第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线与所述栅线呈大于0°小于90°的预定夹角。
其中,所述预定夹角为40°~50°。
其中,所述预定夹角为45°。
其中,所述像素电极为梳状电极,公共电极为板状电极,梳状的像素电极相对公共电极更靠近所述液晶层,梳状的像素电极与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。

其中,所述显示面板光出射侧的所述第二偏光片的透过轴与所述扭曲向列型3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透过轴平行。
(三)有益效果
本发明调整了显示面板的偏光片的透过轴方向以及取向层的取向方向,使其与栅线呈0°~90°夹角,显示面板光出射侧的第二偏光片的透过轴与3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透过轴接近于平行或平行,使显示面板的出射光能够和3D光栅的入射侧的透射角度相匹配,而且由于未改变3D光栅偏光片的透射轴方向,从而能够使3D显示装置达到较好的3D视觉角度特性。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图和实施例,对本发明的具体实施方式作进一步详细描述。以下实施例用于说明本发明,但不用来限制本发明的范围。
本实施例中的显示面板可以为IPS或ADS型广视角显示面板,包括:第一基板、位于第一基板上的第一偏光片、第二基板和位于第二基板上的第二偏光片、以及位于第一基板和第二基板之间的液晶层,还包括形成在第一基板之上的像素电极、公共电极、第一取向层和栅线,像素电极和公共电极两者至少之一为梳状电极,第一偏光片的透过轴与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行,第一偏光片的透过轴与第二偏光片的透过轴垂直。第二基板的上还设有第二取向层,在该广视角显示面板中第二取向层的取向方向和第一取向层的取向方向相反。
为了使广视角显示面板光出射侧的第二偏光片透光轴和TN模式的3D光栅光入射面的偏光片的透光轴接近于平行或平行,本实施例中,使广视角显示面板的第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线与广视角显示面板中栅线呈大于0°小于90°的预定夹角(现有的广视角显示面板中第一取向层的取向方向通常与栅线平行或垂直)。由于光入射侧和光出射侧的两个偏光片的角度关系,及第一偏光片与第一取向层的取向方向的角度关系(为了保证透过率,第一偏光片的透过轴角度需要与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行),可知广视角显示面板光出射侧的第二偏光片与栅线也呈大于0°小于90°的夹角。由于TN模式的3D光栅和广视角显示面板的透射角度通常相差45°,在与TN模式的3D光栅配合后,使得广视角显示面板光出射侧的第二偏光片的透过轴与TN模式的3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透过轴之间的夹角小于45°,即更接近于平行。优选地,预定夹角为40°~50°,如45°,使两者完全平行。
如图2和3所示,对于现有的广视角显示面板,本实施例的广视角显示面板相当于将偏光片(包括光入射侧和光出射侧的两个偏光片)透过轴方向及取向层(包括第一基板和第二基板上的两个取向层)取向方向进行预定角度的旋转,使得广视角显示面板的光出射侧第二偏光片透光轴和TN模式的3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透光轴接近于平行,以尽量匹配TN模式的3D光栅的光入射侧的最佳透射轴方向,在完全平行时,则完全匹配TN模式的3D光栅的入射侧的最佳透射轴方向。由于并未改变TN模式的3D光栅的偏光片的透射轴方向,因此由该广视角显示面板和该TN模式3D光栅形成的显示装置视角不会偏离人眼观看的最佳方向,使得3D显示装置仍然能达到较好的视觉角度特性。
由于广视角显示面板的偏光片和取向层取向方向发生了变化,若广视角显示面板中的梳状电极与栅线还保持原有的倾斜角度,与边缘电场方向与液晶初始方向相差较大,导致液晶取向混乱,影响显示效果。因此,进一步地,对广视角显示面板中的梳状电极结构也做相应调整。当像素电极为梳状电极,公共电极为板状电极,梳状的像素电极相对于公共电极更靠近液晶层,梳状的像素电极与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。当公共电极为梳状电极,像素电极为板状电极,梳状的公共电极相对像素电极更靠近液晶层,梳状的公共电极与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。当像素电极和公共电极均为梳状电极时,两者均与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。如图4所示,梳状电极2与第一取向层取向方向(图4中箭头方向)所在的直线平行(单畴模式)或呈7°~11°夹角,即图4中夹角α为7°~11°(单畴模式或双畴模式,图4为双畴模式的示意图)。即梳状电极2随着第一取向层的取向方向调整而调整,使梳状电极2与栅线1所呈的夹角在0°~90°之间。优选地,对于单畴模式,夹角为40°~50°,如45°;对于双畴模式,夹角为29°~61°,如33°和52°。
本发明还提供了一种3D显示装置,包括TN模式的3D光栅和上述的广视角显示面板。TN模式的3D光栅位于广视角显示面板的出光侧。由于采用了上述尽量匹配TN模式的3D光栅入射侧的最佳透射轴方向的广视角显示面板,TN模式的3D光栅的偏光片透过轴方向保持不变,从而保证了TN模式的3D显示装置的最佳视角特性。优选地,广视角显示面板光出射侧的第二偏光片的透过轴与TN模式的3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透过轴平行,即匹配TN模式的3D光栅入射侧的最佳透射轴方向。
以上实施方式仅用于说明本发明,而并非对本发明的限制,有关技术领域的普通技术人员,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,还可以做出各种变化和变型,因此所有等同的技术方案也属于本发明的范畴,本发明的专利保护范围应由权利要求限定。

Claims (8)

1.一种显示面板,包括:第一基板、位于第一基板上的第一偏光片、第二基板和位于第二基板上的第二偏光片、以及位于所述第一基板和第二基板之间的液晶层,还包括形成在所述第一基板之上的像素电极、公共电极、第一取向层和栅线,所述像素电极和公共电极两者至少之一为梳状电极,所述第一偏光片的透过轴与所述第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行,所述第一偏光片的透过轴与所述第二偏光片的透过轴垂直,其特征在于,所述第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线与所述栅线呈大于0°小于90°的预定夹角。
2.如权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述预定夹角为40°~50°。
3.如权利要求2所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述预定夹角为45°。
4.如权利要求1~3中任一项所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述像素电极为梳状电极,公共电极为板状电极,梳状的像素电极相对公共电极更靠近所述液晶层,梳状的像素电极与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。
5.如权利要求1~3中任一项所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述公共电极为梳状电极,像素电极为板状电极,梳状的公共电极相对像素电极更靠近所述液晶层,梳状的公共电极与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。
6.如权利要求1~3中任一项所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述像素电极和公共电极均为梳状电极,均与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线平行或与第一取向层的取向方向所在的直线呈7°~11°夹角。
7.一种3D显示装置,包括扭曲向列型3D光栅,其特征在于,还包括如权利要求1~6中任一项所述的显示面板,所述扭曲向列型3D光栅位于所述显示面板的出光侧。
8.如权利要求7所述的3D显示装置,其特征在于,所述显示面板光出射侧的所述第二偏光片的透过轴与所述扭曲向列型3D光栅光入射侧的偏光片的透过轴平行。
